Four tetrameric nickel(II) pseudohalide complexes have been synthesized and structurally, spectroscopically, and magnetically characterized. Compounds 1-3 are isostructural and exhibit the general formula [Ni(2)(dpk·OH)(dpk·CH(3)O)(L)(H(2)O)](2)A(2)·2H(2)O, where dpk = di-2-pyridylketone; L = N(3)(-), and A = ClO(4)(-) for 1, L = NCO(-) and A = ClO(4)(-) for 2, and L = NCO(-) and A = NO(3)(-) for 3. The formula for 4 is [Ni(4)(dpk·OH)(3) (dpk·CH(3)O)(2)(NCO)](BF(4))(2)·3H(2)O. The ligands dpk·OH(-) and dpk·CH(3)O(-) result from solvolysis and ulterior deprotonation of dpk in water and methanol, respectively. The four tetramers exhibit a dicubane-like core with two missing vertexes where the Ni(II) ions are connected through end-on pseudohalide and oxo bridges. Magnetic measurements showed that compounds 1-4 are ferromagnetic. The values of the exchange constants were determined by means of a theoretical model based on three different types of coupling. Thus, the calculated J values (J(1) = J(2), J(3), and D) were 5.6, 11.8, and 5.6 cm(-1) for 1, 5.5, 12.0, and 5.6 cm(-1) for 2, 6.3, 4.9, and 6.2 cm(-1) for 3, and (J(1), J(2), J(3), and D) 6.9, 7.0, 15.2, and 4.8 cm(-1) for 4.  相似文献

Two picolinate-containing nickel(II) complexes [Ni(bbma)(pic)(H2O)]ClO4 · CH3OH (1) and [Ni(ntb)(pic)]Cl · CH3OH · 3H2O (2) were synthesized and characterized by infrared, elemental analysis, UV-Vis, and X-ray diffraction analyses, where bbma is bis(benzimidazol-2-yl-methyl)amine, ntb is tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)amine, pic is the anion of picolinic acid. X-ray analysis shows that both complexes are mononuclear with picolinate coordinated to Ni(II) in a μ2-N,O chelating mode. Both complexes adopt distorted octahedral geometry. Intermolecular N–H ··· O and O–H ··· O hydrogen bonds and π–π interactions in 1 and 2 are important in stabilization of the crystal structures.  相似文献

Four new nickel(II) complexes, [{Ni(L)}2], [NiL · HPyr], [NiL · HIm] and [Ni(HL)2] · H2O, derived from diacetylmonoxime-S-benzyldithiocarbazonate (H2L) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, field desorption and electrospray ionization mass spectra, UV–Vis, infrared absorption spectra, as well as 1H NMR spectra. X-ray molecular structures showed that the Ni(II) in both [NiL · HPyr] and [NiL · HIm] are in a distorted square planar environment and is coordinated to the dianionic NNS tridentate hydrazoneoxime ligand via deprotonated oximate nitrogen, hydrazone imine nitrogen, and thiolate sulphur. The fourth coordination sites are occupied, respectively, by the pyrazole and imidazole nitrogens. The oximate O1 of [NiL · HPyr] is involved in intramolecular hydrogen bond with the pyrazole NH proton as well as intermolecular hydrogen bond pyrazole C6H proton, forming a helical chain propagating along the b-axis. The structure is stabilized by a set of π?π and CH?π interactions. The molecular units in [NiL · HIm] are linked together by hydrogen bond formation between the oximate oxygen and imidazole NH proton, giving rise to an infinite zigzag chain extended along the a-axis. The chains are interconnected by π?π and CH?O interactions. In [Ni(HL)2] · H2O, the Ni(II) is in a distorted octahedral environment. The two mononegative hydrazoneoxime ligands are coordinated in the meridional configuration where the two thiol sulphur atoms and the two oxime nitrogen atoms are cis to each other, while the imine nitrogen atoms are trans. The oxime proton O2H is involved in a reciprocal bifurcated hydrogen bond formation with both N2 and S3 of the adjacent molecule giving rise to hydrogen bonded dimer. This dimeric structure is further stabilized by a pair of reciprocal CH?O interactions. A one dimensional chain of alternating dimeric unit and water molecule propagating along the c-axis is formed via hydrogen bond formation between the oxime O1 oxygen and the bridged water molecule proton.  相似文献

Interaction of Ni(allyl)2 and bidentate nitrogen-containing ligands (phenanthroline-1,10; bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)diazabutadiene) has been studied. It has been shown that coordination of diimine ligands proceeds with transfer of an allylnickel group to the diimine frame and formation of a covalent Ni-N bond giving rise to imine(amide)Ni(II) complexes. In the case of phenanthroline dearomatization of one heteroaromatic ring takes place. The low-spin imine(amide)allyl complexes (allyl)Ni(C15H15N2) (1) and (allyl)Ni(C29H42N2) (3) have been isolated as crystals and characterized by solution spectroscopy. Combining two molar equivalents of phenanthroline-1,10 with Ni(allyl)2 results in the transfer of both allyl groups and formation of the high-spin imine(amide)Ni(II) complex Ni(C15H15N2)2 (2).  相似文献

Three new ligands with an indole substituent tethered to a pyridylalkylamine or imidazolylalkylamine metal-binding domain have been prepared from tryptamine. Copper(II) complexes have been prepared and characterized, three by X-ray crystallography. Electrochemistry has been used to ascertain the mutual effects of the copper and indole redox centres upon each other.  相似文献

Two pyrazole-based polydentate ligands, 1,3-bis(5-methyl-3-phenylpyrazol-1-yl)-propan-2-ol (Hmppzpo) and 1,3-bis(5-methyl-3-p-isopropylphenylpyrazol-1-yl)-propan-2-ol (Hmcpzpo), have been synthesized. A third ligand, 1,3-bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)-propan-2-ol (Hdmpzpo), has been synthetically modified. Seven new M(II) coordination compounds of general formula M2L2X2 (M?=?Zn, Ni; X?=?NO3 or ClO4; L?=?dmpzpo, mppzpo or mcpzpo) or MLX (M?=?Pd; L?=?dmpzpo; X?=?Cl) were synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analysis and FT-IR analysis. The crystal structures of [Zn2(μ-dmpzpo-O,N,N′)2(NO3)2]?·?2H2O (1?·?2H2O), [Ni2(μ-dmpzpo-O,N,N′)2(CH3CN)2](ClO4)2 (2) and Pd(μ-dmpzpo-N,N′)Cl2 (4) were determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. The crystal structures show that complexes 1?·?2H2O and 2 are center-symmetric dinuclear compounds, with two metal ions bridged by two alkoxo groups and each metal ion with a distorted square-pyramidal environment. The palladium complex, 4, displayed square-planar coordination geometry around the Pd(II) ion with trans arrangement.  相似文献

Summary In a series of hexacoordinated nickel(II) complexes, prepared from thio-, sulphinyl, and carbonyl derivatives of pyridine and pyrimidine, the endocyclic N-atom was always the preferred basic site; the sulphinyl O-atom was also a donor centre, forming 5-membered heterocycles, whereas the carbonyl O-atom did not bond to the metal. Alkylthio derivatives did not react, unlike thiolate anions, which form N, S-bonded 4-membered rings. On the other and 2,2-bis(pyridyl)ketone bonded exclusively through the N-atoms, forming 6-membered cycles.  相似文献

The nickel and zinc complexes of 2-aminomethylaniline (AMA) are reported. Both metals form the octahedral complex [M(AMA)2(ONO2)2] (M = Ni, Zn) where the aromatic ligands lie in the meridial plane with the anilino donors trans to one another. The remaining nitrates coordinate axially. A simple comparison with the nitrogen donor disposition (cis/trans) in nickel complexes of tetradentate N4 donor ligands derived from symmetric Schiff base ligands is presented. The discussion is extended to interrogate the bonding motifs of the nitrate ligands viz –ONO2 in the nickel complexes of AMA compared to the two motifs (viz O2NO and ONO2) that are isolated for the nickel complexes of the macrocycle hexamethyltetraazacyclotetradecane.  相似文献

The four title CuII compounds are chloro[(2‐furylmethyl)bis(2‐pyridylmethyl)amine‐N,N′,N′′]copper(II) perchlorate, [CuCl(C17H17N3O)]ClO4, (I), chloro{2‐[bis(2‐pyridylmethyl)amino]ethanolato‐N,N′,N′′,O}copper(II) hemi[tetrachlorocopper(II)], [CuCl(C14H17N3O)][CuCl4]1/2, (II), chloro[(2‐morpholinoethyl)bis(2‐pyridylmethyl)amine‐N,N′,N′′,N′′′]copper(II) perchlorate, [CuCl(C18H24N4O)]ClO4, (III), and chloro[(2‐piperidinylethyl)bis(2‐pyridylmethyl)amine‐N,N′,N′′,N′′′]copper(II) hexafluorophosphate, [CuCl(C19H26N4)]PF6, (IV). They have tripodal potentially tetradentate ligands. In (I), the O atom of the furan moiety weakly coordinates to the Cu atom at a distance of 2.750 (3) Å.  相似文献

Two new reduced Schiff base ligands, [HL1 = 4-{2-[(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)-amino]-ethylimino}-pentan-2-one and HL2 = 4-[2-(1-pyridin-2-yl-ethylamino)-ethylimino]-pentan-2-one] have been prepared by reduction of the corresponding tetradentate unsymmetrical Schiff bases derived from 1:1: 1 condensation of 1,2-ethanediamine, acetylacetone and pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde/2-acetyl pyridine. Four complexes, [Ni(L1)]ClO4 (1), [Cu(L1)]ClO4 (2), [Ni(L2)]ClO4 (3), and [Cu(L2)]ClO4 (4) with these two reduced Schiff base ligands have been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. The mono-negative ligands L1 and L2 are chelated in all four complexes through the four donor atoms to form square planar nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes. Structures of 3 and 4 reveal that enantiomeric pairs are crystallized together with opposite chirality in the nitrogen and carbon atoms. The two CuII complexes (2 and 4) exhibit both irreversible reductive (CuII/CuI; Epc, −1.00 and −1.04 V) and oxidative (CuII/CuIII; Epa, +1.22 and +1.17 V, respectively) responses in cyclic voltammetry. The electrochemically generated CuI species for both the complexes are unstable and undergo disproportionation.  相似文献

The coordination chemistry of the N-substituted arylamido ligands [N(R)(C6H3R'2-2,6)] [R = SiMe3, R' = Me (L1); R = CH2But, R' = Pri (L2)] toward FeII and CoII ions was studied. The monoamido complexes [M(L1)(Cl)(tmeda)] [M = Fe (1), Co (2)] react readily with MeLi, affording the mononuclear, paramagnetic iron(II) and cobalt(II) methyl-arylamido complexes [M(L1)(Me)(tmeda)] [M = Fe (3), Co (4)]. Treatment of 2:1 [Li(L2)(THF)2]/FeCl2 affords the unusual two-coordinate iron(II) bis(arylamide) [Fe(L2)2] (5).  相似文献

Most of the nickel(II) complexes of tetradentate enaminoketone ligands obtained, although not strictly calamitic and with a rather low length to width ratio, form enantiotropic rod-like nematic and smectic A phases. Corresponding vanadyl(II) complexes exhibit only monotropic mesophases. The vanadyl complexes, due to their non-planar structure, are chiral with an asymmetry centre placed at the metal ion.  相似文献

Three new binuclear Ni(II) complexes [{Ni(L22py)Cl}2](ClO4)2 (1), [{Ni(L23py)Cl}2](ClO4)2 (2), and [{Ni(L33py)Cl}2](ClO4)2 (3), {L22py = N-(2-pyridylmethyl)-N-(2-aminoethyl)-1,2-diaminoethane, L23py = N-(2-pyridylmethyl)-N-(2-aminoethyl)-1,3-diaminopropane, L33py = N-(2-pyridylmethyl)-N-(3-aminopropyl)-1,3-diaminopropane} have been synthesized. Single crystal X-ray structure analysis showed that in each complex two distorted octahedral Ni(II) ions are bridged asymmetrically by a pair of chloride anions. Variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements of 1 and 3 revealed dominant ferromagnetic exchange interactions.  相似文献

New iron(III) and nickel(II) chelates were synthesized by template reaction of 2,4-dihydroxy- and 2-hydroxy-4-methoxy-benzophenone S-methylthiosemicarbazones with 2-hydroxy- and 5-bromo-2-hydroxy-benzaldehydes. The template complexes were isolated as stable solids and characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity and magnetic measurements, IR, 1H NMR, UV–Visible, and mass spectra. The crystal structure of N 1-(2-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)(phenyl)methylene-N 4-(2-hydroxy-phenyl)methylene-S-methyl-thiosemicarbazidato-Fe(III) was determined by X-ray diffraction. A five-coordinate, distorted square-pyramidal geometry was established crystallographically for the iron(III) complex. Cytotoxicity and proliferation properties were determined using human erythromyeloblastoid leukemia and HL-60 mouse promyelocytic leukemia cell lines. For K 562 and HL-60 cells, compounds 1a and 2b were found to be cytotoxic at concentrations of 10 and 20 µg mL?1.  相似文献

A series of four-coordinate square-planar nickel(II) complexes of o-phenylenebis(N'-methyloxamidate)(L1) and related o-phenylene(N'-methyloxamidate)oxamate (L2) and o-phenylenebis(oxamate)(L3) tetradentate ligands have been synthesized and characterized structurally, spectroscopically and electrochemically. The parent nickel(II)-L1 complex presents an intense MLCT band in the UV region (lambda max = 357 nm) and a distinctive 1 s --> 4p CT satellite in the Ni K-edge XANES spectrum (E = 8339.2 eV). These features together with the short Ni-N(amidate) bond lengths (1.85-1.93 A) as revealed by the analysis of the Ni K-edge EXAFS spectrum and confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction are typical of square-planar low spin (S = 0) Ni(II) ions. The dianionic nickel(II) complexes, [Ni(II)L(i)](2-)(i = -3), experience two redox processes in acetonitrile at 25 degrees C. The first redox process, at moderately low potentials (E1 = 0.12-0.52 V vs. SCE), is a reversible one-electron metal-centered oxidation to the corresponding monoanionic nickel(III) complexes, [Ni(III)L(i)]-. The second redox process, at relatively high potentials (E2 = 0.86-1.04 V vs. SCE), is a quasireversible to irreversible one-electron oxidation largely centered on the o-benzenediamidate fragment of the non-innocent ligand, yielding the corresponding neutral nickel(iii) complexes with a o-benzosemiquinonediimine pi-cation radical ligand, [Ni(III)(L(i))*+]. The singly and doubly oxidized species of the parent nickel(II)-L1 complex have been prepared by chemical oxidation and characterized spectroscopically in acetonitrile at -40 degrees C. The stable singly oxidized nickel(III)-L1 species presents an intense LMCT band in the NIR region (lambda max = 910 nm) and a rhombic X-band EPR spectrum (g1 = 2.193, g2 = 2.080 and g3 = 2.006) characteristic of square-planar low spin (S = 1/2) Ni(III) ions. The unstable double oxidized nickel(III)-L1 pi-cation radical species exhibits a rather intense visible band (lambda max = 645 nm) that is tentatively assigned as a MLCT transition from the Ni(III)-benzosemiquinone type ground state to the Ni(IV) excited state.  相似文献

Three mononuclear polypyridyl complexes of Ni(II), [Ni(Ph2phen)3](PF6)2·CH3CN (1), [Ni(dpa)2(phen)](PF6)2 (2) and [Ni(bpy)3](PF6)2 (3), where Ph2phen is 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline, dpa is 2,2′-dipyridylamine, bpy is 2,2′-bipyridine, and phen is 1,10-phenanthroline, were prepared and their solid state structures determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. The structural determination shows that the coordination geometry around the Ni(II) center is a distorted octahedron in each complex. The investigation of synthesis procedure and crystallographic data of complex 3 indicates the spontaneous resolution of supramolecular chirality. A careful inspection of the packing pattern in the lattice of each complex reveals that non-covalent interactions of two different types, viz. C-H?F and C-H?π interactions, are active in the lattice. The packing structures of 1-3 also show that the rings of the polypyridyl ligands, Ph2phen, dpa, bpy, and phen, are not located face-to-face and can not interact through π-π interactions. Cyclic voltammetry data of 1 and 3 show that the Ni(III/II) reduction couple is quasi-reversible and this reduction becomes progressively more difficult on passing from bpy to Ph2phen, while complex 2 shows an irreversible behavior with the peak-to-peak separation of about 500 mV. Magnetic susceptibility data derived from paramagnetic NMR revealed effective magnetic moments of 3.12 BM for 1, 3.27 BM for 2, and 3.14 for 3 at room temperature.  相似文献

NH-Bridged tetradentate ligands were synthesized to achieve stable trans Ru(II) bis(polypyridyl) complexes. The polypyridyl part of the ligand was either symmetric, as in N,N-bis(1,10-phenanthroline-2-yl)amine (phen-NH-phen), or asymmetric, as in N-(1,10-phenanthroline-2-yl)-N-(6-yl-dipyridyl[2,3-a:2',3'-c]phenazine)amine (dppz-NH-phen). Protonation of phen-NH-phen with trifluoroacetic acid and the subsequent reaction with RuCl3 yield trans-[Ru(phen-NH-phen)Cl2]. The chloro ligands in this compound can easily be replaced by stronger ligands, such as CH3CN and DMSO. In this way, complexes trans-[Ru(phen-NH-phen)(CH3CN)(DMSO)](PF6)2 (1), trans-[Ru(phen-NH-phen)(DMSO)2](PF6)2 (2), and trans-[Ru(phen-NH-phen)(CH3CN)2](PF6)2 (3) were obtained. X-ray structures were determined for 1 and 3. Following a procedure similar to that used with phen-NH-phen, the complex trans-[Ru(dppz-NH-phen)(CH3CN)2](PF6)2 (4) was obtained. To our knowledge, this is the first reported trans ruthenium(II) bis(polypyridyl) complex with two different polypyridyl ligands in the equatorial plane.  相似文献

Nickel(II) complexes of a series of N,N'-polymethylenebis(3,5-Bu(2)(t)-salicylaldimine) ligands containing 2,4-di-Bu(2)(t)-phenol arms, NiL(x), were synthesized and their spectroscopic and redox properties were examined. The UV-vis, (1)H NMR spectroscopic and magnetic results indicate that complexes NiL(1)-NiL(4) unlike NiL(5) and NiL(6) have a square-planar structure in the solid state and in solution. Cyclic voltammograms of NiL(x) (x=1-4) complexes displayed two-step oxidation processes. The first oxidation peak potentials of all Ni(II) complexes corresponds to the reversible one-electron oxidation process of the metal center, yielding Ni(III) species. The second oxidation peak of the complexes was assigned as the ligand based oxidation generating a coordinated phenoxyl radical species.  相似文献
