The high-T(c) superconductor Tl(2)Ba(2)CuO(6 + delta) is studied by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. For a very overdoped T(c) = 30 K sample, the Fermi surface consists of a single large hole pocket centered at (pi, pi) and is approaching a topological transition. Although a superconducting gap with d(x(2)-y(2)) symmetry is tentatively identified, the quasiparticle evolution with momentum and binding energy exhibits a marked departure from the behavior observed in under and optimally doped cuprates. The relevance of these findings to scattering, many-body, and quantum-critical phenomena is discussed.  相似文献

It is inferred from the position of the 2Δ peak in the electron light scattering spectra that in a sample with high T c ≈90 K the ratio 2Δ/T c is approximately equal to 6 and 7 for different polarizations, while in overdoped samples with T c ≈40 and 35 K the 2Δ peak is observed only in xy′ polarization with a substantially lower ratio 2Δ/T c ≈3.2. With decreasing T c in Tl2Ba2CuO6+x crystals, a transition occurs from strong to weak coupling; the superconducting gap remains anisotropic at different doping levels. Pis’ma Zh. éksp. Teor. The parameters of the crystal electric-field gradient at the copper sites of Tl2Ba2CuO6 and Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8 have been determined by Mössbauer emission spectroscopy using the 67Cu(67Zn) isotope, and calculated in the point-charge approximation. The results obtained are analyzed using the available 63Cu nuclear quadrupole resonance data. The experimental and calculated data can be brought in agreement if one assumes that the holes appearing after part of the thallium atoms lower their valency become localized primarily at the oxygen sites lying in the plane of the copper ions.  相似文献

Angle-dependent magnetoresistance measurements are used to determine the isotropic and anisotropic components of the transport scattering rate in overdoped Tl2Ba2CuO6+delta for a range of Tc values between 15 and 35 K. The size of the anisotropic scattering term is found to scale linearly with Tc, establishing a link between the superconducting and normal state physics. A comparison with results from angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy indicates that the transport and quasiparticle lifetimes are distinct.  相似文献

Spatially resolved NMR is used to probe the magnetism in and around vortex cores of nearly optimally doped Tl(2)Ba(2)CuO(6+delta) (T(c)=85 K). The NMR relaxation rate T(-1)1 at the 205Tl site provides direct evidence that the antiferromagnetic (AF) spin correlation is significantly enhanced in the vortex core region. In the core region Cu spins show a local AF ordering with moments parallel to the layers at T(N)=20 K. Above T(N) the core region is in the paramagnetic state which is a reminiscence of the state above the pseudogap temperature (T(*) approximately 120 K), indicating that the pseudogap disappears within cores.  相似文献
