Let C be an irreducible smooth projective curve defined over an algebraically closed field k. Let G be a semisimple linear algebraic group defined over the field k and PG a proper parabolic subgroup. Fix a strictly anti-dominant character χ of P. Let EG be a semistable principal G-bundle over C. If the characteristic of k is positive, then EG is assumed to be strongly semistable. Take any real number ?>0. Then there is an irreducible smooth projective curve defined over k, a nonconstant morphism

Let EG be a polystable principal G-bundle over a compact connected Kähler manifold, where G is a complex reductive group, and a homomorphism to another complex reductive group. We give a sufficient condition under which the principal H-bundle obtained by extending the structure group of EG using ρ is stable.  相似文献

Let G be a complex semisimple group and χ a character of a parabolic subgroup PG such that the associated line bundle on G/P is ample. For a general stable G-bundle EG over a compact Riemann surface of genus at least two, the line bundle over EG/P defined by χ has the property that the restriction of  to any closed subvariety of EG/P of smaller dimension is ample, although is not ample.  相似文献

Let X be a smooth projective surface defined over , and let L be a line bundle over X such that for every complete curve Y contained in X. A question of Keel asks whether L is ample. If X is a P1-bundle over a curve, we prove that this question has an affirmative answer.  相似文献

Let X be a smooth projective curve of genus g?2 defined over an algebraically closed field k of characteristic p>0. Let MX(r) be the moduli space of semi-stable vector bundles with fixed trivial determinant. The relative Frobenius map induces by pull-back a rational map . We determine the equations of V in the following two cases (1) (g,r,p)=(2,2,2) and X nonordinary with Hasse-Witt invariant equal to 1 (see math.AG/0005044 for the case X ordinary), and (2) (g,r,p)=(2,2,3). We also show the existence of base points of V, i.e., semi-stable bundles E such that F∗E is not semi-stable, for any triple (g,r,p).  相似文献

Let X be an irreducible smooth projective curve over an algebraically closed field k of positive characteristic and G a simple linear algebraic group over k. Fix a proper parabolic subgroup P of G and a nontrivial anti-dominant character λ of P. Given a principal G-bundle EG over X, let EG(λ) be the line bundle over EG/P associated to the principal P-bundle EGEG/P for the character λ. We prove that EG is strongly semistable if and only if the line bundle EG(λ) is numerically effective. For any connected reductive algebraic group H over k, a similar criterion is proved for strongly semistable H-bundles.  相似文献

Let G be a finite unitary reflection group acting in a complex vector space . The discriminant varietyXG of G is defined as the space of regular orbits of G on V. Classical examples include the varieties of complex polynomials of degree n with distinct (resp. non-zero distinct) roots. The normaliser of G in GL(V) acts on XG; in this work we determine the action of on the cohomology of XG. In the classical cases this amounts to computing the cohomology of XG with certain local coefficient systems. Our methods are to compute equivariant weight polynomials by means of explicit counting of the rational points of certain varieties over finite fields, and then to exploit the weight purity of the relevant varieties. We obtain some power series identities as a byproduct.  相似文献

Let k be a field with algebraic closure , G a semisimple algebraic k-group, and a maximal torus with character group X(T). Denote Λ the abstract weight lattice of the roots system of G, and by and the n-torsion subgroup of the Brauer group of k and G, respectively. We prove that if chark does not divide n and n is prime to the order of Λ/X(T) then the natural homomorphism is an isomorphism.  相似文献

Let X be a smooth projective variety defined over a perfect field k of positive characteristic, and let FX be the absolute Frobenius morphism of X. For any vector bundle EX, and any polynomial g with non-negative integer coefficients, define the vector bundle using the powers of FX and the direct sum operation. We construct a neutral Tannakian category using the vector bundles with the property that there are two distinct polynomials f and g with non-negative integer coefficients such that . We also investigate the group scheme defined by this neutral Tannakian category.  相似文献

Let X be a reduced connected k-scheme pointed at a rational point xX(k). By using tannakian techniques we construct the Galois closure of an essentially finite k-morphism f:YX satisfying the condition H0(Y,OY)=k; this Galois closure is a torsor dominating f by an X-morphism and universal for this property. Moreover, we show that is a torsor under some finite group scheme we describe. Furthermore we prove that the direct image of an essentially finite vector bundle over Y is still an essentially finite vector bundle over X. We develop for torsors and essentially finite morphisms a Galois correspondence similar to the usual one. As an application we show that for any pointed torsor f:YX under a finite group scheme satisfying the condition H0(Y,OY)=k, Y has a fundamental group scheme π1(Y,y) fitting in a short exact sequence with π1(X,x).  相似文献

Let G be a connected linear algebraic group defined over \({\mathbb C}\). Fix a finite dimensional faithful G-module V 0. A holomorphic principal G-bundle E G over a compact connected Kähler manifold X is called finite if for each subquotient W of the G-module V 0, the holomorphic vector bundle E G (W) over X associated to E G for W is finite. Given a holomorphic principal G-bundle E G over X, we prove that the following four statements are equivalent: (1) The principal G-bundle E G admits a flat holomorphic connection whose monodromy group is finite. (2) There is a finite étale Galois covering \({f: Y \longrightarrow X}\) such that the pullback f*E G is a holomorphically trivializable principal G-bundle over Y. (3) For any finite dimensional complex G-module W, the holomorphic vector bundle E G (W) = E ×  G W over X, associated to the principal G-bundle E G for the G-module W, is finite. (4) The principal G-bundle E G is finite.  相似文献

Let G be a connected reductive linear algebraic group defined over C with Lie algebra g. Let be a stable principal Higgs G-sheaf on a compact connected Kähler manifold. We consider all holomorphic sections of the adjoint vector bundle ad(EG) of EG that commute with the Higgs field φ. These correspond to the infinitesimal automorphisms of the principal Higgs G-sheaf. Any element of the center of g gives such a section. We prove that all the sections are given by the center of g.  相似文献

Let (X,D) be an ?-pointed compact Riemann surface of genus at least two. For each point xD, fix parabolic weights such that . Fix a holomorphic line bundle ξ over X of degree one. Let PMξ denote the moduli space of stable parabolic vector bundles, of rank two and determinant ξ, with parabolic structure over D and parabolic weights . The group of order two line bundles over X acts on PMξ by the rule EL?EL. We compute the Chen-Ruan cohomology ring of the corresponding orbifold.  相似文献

Let {f0,…,fn;g0,…,gn} be a sequence of homogeneous polynomials in 2n+2 variables with no common zeros in P2n+1 and suppose that the degrees of the polynomials are such that is a homogeneous polynomial. We shall refer to the hypersurface X defined by Q as a generalized quadric. In this note, we prove that generalized quadrics in for n≥1 are reduced.  相似文献

Let f be a graph function which assigns to each graph H a non-negative integer f(H)≤|V(H)|. The f-game chromatic number of a graph G is defined through a two-person game. Let X be a set of colours. Two players, Alice and Bob, take turns colouring the vertices of G with colours from X. A partial colouring c of G is legal (with respect to graph function f) if for any subgraph H of G, the sum of the number of colours used in H and the number of uncoloured vertices of H is at least f(H). Both Alice and Bob must colour legally (i.e., the partial colouring produced needs to be legal). The game ends if either all the vertices are coloured or there are uncoloured vertices with no legal colour. In the former case, Alice wins the game. In the latter case, Bob wins the game. The f-game chromatic number of G, χg(f,G), is the least number of colours that the colour set X needs to contain so that Alice has a winning strategy. Let be the graph function defined as , for any n≥3 and otherwise. Then is called the acyclic game chromatic number of G. In this paper, we prove that any outerplanar graph G has acyclic game chromatic number at most 7. For any integer k, let ?k be the graph function defined as ?k(K2)=2 and ?k(Pk)=3 (Pk is the path on k vertices) and ?k(H)=0 otherwise. This paper proves that if k≥8 then for any tree T, χg(?k,T)≤9. On the other hand, if k≤6, then for any integer n, there is a tree T such that χg(?k,T)≥n.  相似文献

Let (X,x0) be any one-pointed compact connected Riemann surface of genus g, with g≥3. Fix two mutually coprime integers r>1 and d. Let MX denote the moduli space parametrizing all logarithmic -connections, singular over x0, on vector bundles over X of degree d. We prove that the isomorphism class of the variety MX determines the Riemann surface X uniquely up to an isomorphism, although the biholomorphism class of MX is known to be independent of the complex structure of X. The isomorphism class of the variety MX is independent of the point x0X. A similar result is proved for the moduli space parametrizing logarithmic -connections, singular over x0, on vector bundles over X of degree d. The assumption r>1 is necessary for the moduli space of logarithmic -connections to determine the isomorphism class of X uniquely.  相似文献
