In theorems on the existence of a fixed point of an operator the latter is usually assumed to be continuous. In this paper we prove a theorem with sufficient conditions for the existence of a fixed point of an operator which is not necessarily continuous (possibly it is left-continuous). The obtained theorem with the use of regular cones is applied for proving the existence of a fixed point of a nonlinear integral operator. We give an example illustrating the theorem.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to prove a collection of new fixed point theorems for so-called weakly F-contractive mappings. By analogy, we introduce also a class of strongly F-expansive mappings and we prove fixed point theorems for such mappings. We provide a few examples, which illustrate these results and, as an application, we prove an existence and uniqueness theorem for the generalized Fredholm integral equation of the second kind. Finally, in Appendix A, we apply the Mönch fixed point theorem to prove two results on the existence of approximate fixed points of some continuous mappings.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to present the existence results of solutions and positive solutions of nonlinear high-order fractional boundary value problems with integral boundary condition. By using the Banach fixed point theorem and the Krasnosel’skii fixed point theorem, we obtain the existence and uniqueness of real solution. By the Guo–Krasnosel’skii fixed point theorem on the cone, we obtain a desired result for guaranteeing the existence of positive solution. This paper is devoted to the existence of positive solutions for a fourth‐order impulsive boundary value problem with integral boundary conditions on time scales. Existence results of at least two and three positive solutions are established via the double fixed point theorem and six functionals fixed point theorem, respectively. Let E be a Banach spaces ordered by a cone K. We prove a fixed point theorem for Lipschitz continuous monotone decreasing functions f: K → K, which proves the existence of a unique fixed point in cases where the Lipschitz constant of f is bigger than 1. This fixed point theorem can be applied to Hammerstein integral equations in a quite natural way.  相似文献

In this paper, we obtain an existence theorem for fixed points of contractive set-valued mappings on a metric space endowed with a graph. This theorem unifies and extends several fixed point theorems for mappings on metric spaces and for mappings on metric spaces endowed with a graph. As an application, we obtain a theorem on the convergence of successive approximations for some linear operators on an arbitrary Banach space. This result yields the well-known Kelisky–Rivlin theorem on iterates of the Bernstein operators on C[0,1].  相似文献
