For n=8 an upper bound is given for the functional $$V_n = \mathop {\inf }\limits_{t_n } \frac{{\alpha _1 + \alpha _2 + \cdots + \alpha _n }}{{\left( {\sqrt {\alpha _1 } - \sqrt {\alpha _0 } } \right)^2 }}$$ , which is defined on the class of even, nonnegative, trigonometric polynomials \(t_n (\phi ) = \sum\nolimits_{k = 0}^n {\alpha _k } cos k\phi \) , such that α k ? 0 (k=0, ...,n) α10 :V s ? 34.54461566.  相似文献

Let ${\Phi}$ be a continuous, strictly increasing and concave function on (0, ∞) of critical lower type index ${p_\Phi^- \in(0,\,1]}$ . Let L be an injective operator of type ω having a bounded H functional calculus and satisfying the k-Davies–Gaffney estimates with ${k \in {\mathbb Z}_+}$ . In this paper, the authors first introduce an Orlicz–Hardy space ${H^{\Phi}_{L}(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ in terms of the non-tangential L-adapted square function and then establish its molecular characterization. As applications, the authors prove that the generalized Riesz transform ${D_{\gamma}L^{-\delta/(2k)}}$ is bounded from the Orlicz–Hardy space ${H^{\Phi}_{L}(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ to the Orlicz space ${L^{\widetilde{\Phi}}(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ when ${p_\Phi^- \in (0, \frac{n}{n+ \delta - \gamma}]}$ , ${0 < \gamma \le \delta < \infty}$ and ${\delta- \gamma < n (\frac{1}{p_-(L)}-\frac{1}{p_+(L)})}$ , or from ${H^{\Phi}_{L}(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ to the Orlicz–Hardy space ${H^{\widetilde \Phi}(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ when ${p_\Phi^-\in (\frac{n}{n + \delta+ \lfloor \gamma \rfloor- \gamma},\,\frac{n}{n+ \delta- \gamma}]}$ , ${1\le \gamma \le \delta < \infty}$ and ${\delta- \gamma < n (\frac{1}{p_-(L)}-\frac{1}{p_+(L)})}$ , or from ${H^{\Phi}_{L}(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ to the weak Orlicz–Hardy space ${WH^\Phi(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ when ${\gamma = \delta}$ and ${p_\Phi=n/(n + \lfloor \gamma \rfloor)}$ or ${p_\Phi^-=n/(n + \lfloor \gamma \rfloor)}$ with ${p_\Phi^-}$ attainable, where ${\widetilde{\Phi}}$ is an Orlicz function whose inverse function ${\widetilde{\Phi}^{-1}}$ is defined by ${\widetilde{\Phi}^{-1}(t):=\Phi^{-1}(t)t^{\frac{1}{n}(\gamma- \delta)}}$ for all ${t \in (0,\,\infty)}$ , ${p_\Phi}$ denotes the strictly critical lower type index of ${\Phi}$ , ${\lfloor \gamma \rfloor}$ the maximal integer not more than ${\gamma}$ and ${(p_-(L),\,p_+(L))}$ the range of exponents ${p \in[1,\, \infty]}$ for which the semigroup ${\{e^{-tL}\}_{t >0 }}$ is bounded on ${L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)}$ .  相似文献

Let S j : (Ω, P) → S 1 ? ? be an i.i.d. sequence of Steinhaus random variables, i.e. variables which are uniformly distributed on the circle S 1. We determine the best constants a p in the Khintchine-type inequality $${a_p}{\left\| x \right\|_2} \leqslant {\left( {{\text{E}}{{\left| {\sum\limits_{j = 1}^n {{x_j}{S_j}} } \right|}^p}} \right)^{1/p}} \leqslant {\left\| x \right\|_2};{\text{ }}x = ({x_j})_{j = 1}^n \in {{\Bbb C}^n}$$ for 0 < p < 1, verifying a conjecture of U. Haagerup that $${a_p} = \min \left( {\Gamma {{\left( {\frac{p}{2} + 1} \right)}^{1/p}},\sqrt 2 {{\left( {{{\Gamma \left( {\frac{{p + 1}}{2}} \right)} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\Gamma \left( {\frac{{p + 1}}{2}} \right)} {\left[ {\Gamma \left( {\frac{p}{2} + 1} \right)\sqrt \pi } \right]}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\left[ {\Gamma \left( {\frac{p}{2} + 1} \right)\sqrt \pi } \right]}}} \right)}^{1/p}}} \right)$$ . Both expressions are equal for p = p 0 }~ 0.4756. For p ≥ 1 the best constants a p have been known for some time. The result implies for a norm 1 sequence x ∈ ? n , ‖x2 = 1, that $${\text{E}}\ln \left| {\frac{{{S_1} + {S_2}}}{{\sqrt 2 }}} \right| \leqslant {\text{E}}\ln \left| {\sum\limits_{j = 1}^n {{x_j}{S_j}} } \right|$$ , answering a question of A. We consider the question of evaluating the normalizing multiplier $$\gamma _{n,k} = \frac{1}{\pi }\int_{ - \pi }^\pi {\left( {\frac{{sin\tfrac{{nt}}{2}}}{{sin\tfrac{t}{2}}}} \right)^{2k} dt} $$ for the generalized Jackson kernel J n,k (t). We obtain the explicit formula $$\gamma _{n,k} = 2\sum\limits_{p = 0}^{\left[ {k - \tfrac{k}{n}} \right]} {( - 1)\left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {2k} \\ p \\ \end{array} } \right)\left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {k(n + 1) - np - 1} \\ {k(n - 1) - np} \\ \end{array} } \right)} $$ and the representation $$\gamma _{n,k} = \sqrt {\frac{{24}}{\pi }} \cdot \frac{{(n - 1)^{2k - 1} }}{{\sqrt {2k - 1} }}\left[ {1\frac{1}{8} \cdot \frac{1}{{2k - 1}} + \omega (n,k)} \right],$$ , where $$\left| {\omega (n,k)} \right| < \frac{4}{{(2k - 1)\sqrt {ln(2k - 1)} }} + \sqrt {12\pi } \cdot \frac{{k^{\tfrac{3}{2}} }}{{n - 1}}\left( {1 + \frac{1}{{n - 1}}} \right)^{2k - 2} .$$ .  相似文献

Let (T t ) t?≥ 0 be a bounded analytic semigroup on L p (Ω), with 1?<?p?<?∞. Let ?A denote its infinitesimal generator. It is known that if A and A * both satisfy square function estimates ${\bigl\|\bigl(\int_{0}^{\infty} \vert A^{\frac{1}{2}} T_t(x)\vert^2 {\rm d}t \bigr)^{\frac{1}{2}}\bigr\|_{L^p} \lesssim \|x\|_{L^p}}$ and ${\bigl\|\bigl(\int_{0}^{\infty} \vert A^{*\frac{1}{2}} T_t^*(y) \vert^2 {\rm d}t \bigr)^{\frac{1}{2}}\bigr\|_{L^{p^\prime}} \lesssim \|y\|_{L^{p^\prime}}}$ for ${x\in L^p(\Omega)}$ and ${y\in L^{p^\prime}(\Omega)}$ , then A admits a bounded ${H^{\infty}(\Sigma_\theta)}$ functional calculus for any ${\theta>\frac{\pi}{2}}$ . We show that this actually holds true for some ${\theta<\frac{\pi}{2}}$ .  相似文献

We introduce vanishing generalized Morrey spaces ${V\mathcal{L}^{p,\varphi}_\Pi (\Omega), \Omega \subseteq \mathbb{R}^n}$ with a general function ${\varphi(x, r)}$ defining the Morrey-type norm. Here ${\Pi \subseteq \Omega}$ is an arbitrary subset in Ω including the extremal cases ${\Pi = \{x_0\}, x_0 \in \Omega}$ and Π = Ω, which allows to unify vanishing local and global Morrey spaces. In the spaces ${V\mathcal{L}^{p,\varphi}_\Pi (\mathbb{R}^n)}$ we prove the boundedness of a class of sublinear singular operators, which includes Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator and Calderon-Zygmund singular operators with standard kernel. We also prove a Sobolev-Spanne type ${V\mathcal{L}^{p,\varphi}_\Pi (\mathbb{R}^n) \rightarrow V\mathcal{L}^{q,\varphi^\frac{q}{p}}_\Pi (\mathbb{R}^n)}$ -theorem for the potential operator I α . The conditions for the boundedness are given in terms of Zygmund-type integral inequalities on ${\varphi(x, r)}$ . No monotonicity type condition is imposed on ${\varphi(x, r)}$ . In case ${\varphi}$ has quasi- monotone properties, as a consequence of the main results, the conditions of the boundedness are also given in terms of the Matuszeska-Orlicz indices of the function ${\varphi}$ . The proofs are based on pointwise estimates of the modulars defining the vanishing spaces  相似文献

Let ${\vartheta}$ be a measure on the polydisc ${\mathbb{D}^n}$ which is the product of n regular Borel probability measures so that ${\vartheta([r,1)^n\times\mathbb{T}^n) >0 }$ for all 0 < r < 1. The Bergman space ${A^2_{\vartheta}}$ consists of all holomorphic functions that are square integrable with respect to ${\vartheta}$ . In one dimension, it is well known that if f is continuous on the closed disc ${\overline{\mathbb{D}}}$ , then the Hankel operator H f is compact on ${A^2_\vartheta}$ . In this paper we show that for n ≥ 2 and f a continuous function on ${{\overline{\mathbb{D}}}^n}$ , H f is compact on ${A^2_\vartheta}$ if and only if there is a decomposition f = h + g, where h belongs to ${A^2_\vartheta}$ and ${\lim_{z\to\partial\mathbb{D}^n}g(z)=0}$ .  相似文献

Let φ be a supermultiplicative Orlicz function such that the function $t \mapsto \varphi \left( {\sqrt t } \right)$ is equivalent to a convex function. Then each complexn×n matrixT=(τ ij ) i, j satisfies the following eigenvalue estimate: $\left\| {\left( {\lambda _i \left( T \right)} \right)_{i = 1}^n } \right\|_{\ell _\varphi } \leqslant C\left\| ( \right\|\left( {\tau _{ij} } \right)_{i = 1}^n \left\| {_{_{\ell _{\varphi *} } } )_{j = 1}^n } \right\|\ell _{\bar \varphi } $ . Here, ?* stands for Young’s conjugate function of φ, ?, $\bar \varphi $ is the minimal submultiplicative function dominating φ andC>0 a constant depending only on φ. For the power function φ(t)=t p ,p≥2 this is a celebrated result of Johnson, König, Maurey and Retherford from 1979. In this paper we prove the above result within a more general theory of related estimates.  相似文献

Let {X k,i ; i ≥ 1, k ≥ 1} be a double array of nondegenerate i.i.d. random variables and let {p n ; n ≥ 1} be a sequence of positive integers such that n/p n is bounded away from 0 and ∞. In this paper we give the necessary and sufficient conditions for the asymptotic distribution of the largest entry ${L_{n}={\rm max}_{1\leq i < j\leq p_{n}}|\hat{\rho}^{(n)}_{i,j}|}$ of the sample correlation matrix ${{\bf {\Gamma}}_{n}=(\hat{\rho}_{i,j}^{(n)})_{1\leq i,j\leq p_{n}}}$ where ${\hat{\rho}^{(n)}_{i,j}}$ denotes the Pearson correlation coefficient between (X 1,i , ..., X n,i )′ and (X 1,j ,...,X n,j )′. Write ${F(x)= \mathbb{P}(|X_{1,1}|\leq x), x\geq0}$ , ${W_{c,n}={\rm max}_{1\leq i < j\leq p_{n}}|\sum_{k=1}^{n}(X_{k,i}-c)(X_{k,j}-c)|}$ , and ${W_{n}=W_{0,n},n\geq1,c\in(-\infty,\infty)}$ . Under the assumption that ${\mathbb{E}|X_{1,1}|^{2+\delta} < \infty}$ for some δ > 0, we show that the following six statements are equivalent: $$ {\bf (i)} \quad \lim_{n \to \infty} n^{2}\int\limits_{(n \log n)^{1/4}}^{\infty}\left( F^{n-1}(x) - F^{n-1}\left(\frac{\sqrt{n \log n}}{x}\right) \right) dF(x) = 0,$$ $$ {\bf (ii)}\quad n \mathbb{P}\left ( \max_{1 \leq i < j \leq n}|X_{1,i}X_{1,j} | \geq \sqrt{n \log n}\right ) \to 0 \quad{\rm as}\,n \to \infty,$$ $$ {\bf (iii)}\quad \frac{W_{\mu, n}}{\sqrt {n \log n}}\stackrel{\mathbb{P}}{\rightarrow} 2\sigma^{2},$$ $$ {\bf (iv)}\quad \left ( \frac{n}{\log n}\right )^{1/2} L_{n} \stackrel{\mathbb{P}}{\rightarrow} 2,$$ $$ {\bf (v)}\quad \lim_{n \rightarrow \infty}\mathbb{P}\left (\frac{W_{\mu, n}^{2}}{n \sigma^{4}} - a_{n}\leq t \right ) = \exp \left \{ - \frac{1}{\sqrt{8\pi}} e^{-t/2}\right \}, - \infty < t < \infty,$$ $$ {\bf (vi)}\quad \lim_{n \rightarrow \infty}\mathbb{P}\left (n L_{n}^{2} - a_{n}\leq t \right ) = \exp \left \{ - \frac{1}{\sqrt{8 \pi}} e^{-t/2}\right \}, - \infty < t < \infty$$ where ${\mu=\mathbb{E}X_{1,1}, \sigma^{2}=\mathbb{E}(X_{1,1} - \mu)^{2}}$ , and a n  = 4 log p n ? log log p n . The equivalences between (i), (ii), (iii), and (v) assume that only ${\mathbb{E}X_{1,1}^{2} < \infty}$ . Weak laws of large numbers for W n and L n , n ≥  1, are also established and these are of the form ${W_{n}/n^{\alpha}\stackrel{\mathbb{P}}{\rightarrow} 0}\,(\alpha > 1/2)$ and ${n^{1-\alpha}L_{n}\stackrel{\mathbb{P}}{\rightarrow} 0}\,(1/2 < \alpha \leq 1)$ , respectively. The current work thus provides weak limit analogues of the strong limit theorems of Li and Rosalsky as well as a necessary and sufficient condition for the asymptotic distribution of L n obtained by Jiang. Some open problems are also posed.  相似文献

Let W: ?→(0,∞) be continuous. DoesW admit a classical Jackson Theorem? That is, does there exist a sequence $\{ \eta _n \} _{n = 1}^\infty $ of positive numbers with limit 0 such that for 1≤p≤∞, $\mathop {\inf }\limits_{\deg (P) \le n} ||(f - P)W||_{L_p (R)} \le \eta n||f'W||_{L_p (R)} $ for all absolutely continuousf with $||f'W||_{L_p (R)} $ finite? We show that such a theorem is true iff both $\mathop {\lim }\limits_{\chi \to \infty } W(\chi )\int_0^\chi {W^{ - 1} } = 0$ and $\mathop {\lim }\limits_{\chi \to \infty } W^{ - 1} (\chi )\int_\chi ^\infty W = 0,$ with analogous limits asx→?∞. In particular,W(x)=exp(?|x|) does not admit a Jackson theorem of this type. We also construct weights that admit anL 1 but not anL Jackson theorem (or conversely).  相似文献

In this paper we consider functions \(f\) defined on an open set \(U\) of the Euclidean space \(\mathbb{R }^{n+1}\) and with values in the Clifford Algebra \(\mathbb{R }_n\) . Slice monogenic functions \(f: U \subseteq \mathbb{R }^{n+1} \rightarrow \mathbb{R }_n\) belong to the kernel of the global differential operator with non constant coefficients given by \( \mathcal{G }=|{\underline{x}}|^2\frac{\partial }{\partial x_0} \ + \ {\underline{x}} \ \sum _{j=1}^n x_j\frac{\partial }{\partial x_j}. \) Since the operator \(\mathcal{G }\) is not elliptic and there is a degeneracy in \( {\underline{x}}=0\) , its kernel contains also less smooth functions that have to be interpreted as distributions. We study the distributional solutions of the differential equation \(\mathcal{G }F(x_0,{\underline{x}})=G(x_0,{\underline{x}})\) and some of its variations. In particular, we focus our attention on the solutions of the differential equation \( ({\underline{x}}\frac{\partial }{\partial x_0} \ - E)F(x_0,{\underline{x}})=G(x_0,{\underline{x}}), \) where \(E= \sum _{j=1}^n x_j\frac{\partial }{\partial x_j}\) is the Euler operator, from which we deduce properties of the solutions of the equation \( \mathcal{G }F(x_0,{\underline{x}})=G(x_0,{\underline{x}})\) .  相似文献

Starting from two Lagrangian immersions and a Legendre curve ${\tilde{\gamma}(t)}$ in ${\mathbb{S}^3(1)}$ $({\rm or\,in}\,{\mathbb{H}_1^3(-1)})$ , it is possible to construct a new Lagrangian immersion in ${\mathbb{CP}^n(4)}$ $({\rm or\,in}\,{\mathbb{CH}^n(-4)})$ , which is called a warped product Lagrangian immersion. When ${\tilde{\gamma}(t)=(r_1e^{i(\frac{r_2}{r_1}at)}, \;r_2e^{i(- \frac{r_1}{r_2}at)})}$ $({\rm or}\,{\tilde{\gamma}(t)=(r_1e^{i(\frac{r_2}{r_1}at)}, \;r_2e^{i( \frac{r_1}{r_2}at)})})$ , where r 1, r 2, and a are positive constants with ${r_1^2+r_2^2=1}$ $({\rm or}\,{-r_1^2+r_2^2=-1})$ , we call the new Lagrangian immersion a Calabi product Lagrangian immersion. In this paper, we study the inverse problem: how to determine from the properties of the second fundamental form whether a given Lagrangian immersion of ${\mathbb{CP}^n(4)}$ or ${\mathbb{CH}^n(-4)}$ is a Calabi product Lagrangian immersion. When the Calabi product is minimal, or is Hamiltonian minimal, or has parallel second fundamental form, we give some further characterizations.  相似文献
