We observe a narrow enhancement near 2m(p) in the invariant mass spectrum of pp pairs from radiative J/psi-->gammapp decays. No similar structure is seen in J/psi-->pi(0)pp decays. The results are based on an analysis of a 58 x 10(6) event sample of J/psi decays accumulated with the BESII detector at the Beijing electron-positron collider. The enhancement can be fit with either an S- or P-wave Breit-Wigner resonance function. In the case of the S-wave fit, the peak mass is below 2m(p) at M=1859(+3)(-10) (stat)+5-25(syst) MeV/c(2) and the total width is Gamma<30 MeV/c(2) at the 90% confidence level. These mass and width values are not consistent with the properties of any known particle. 相似文献

A broad peak is observed at low K+K- invariant mass in J/psi-->K+K-pi(0) decays found in a sample of 5.8x10(7) J/psi events collected with the BESII detector. The statistical significance of the broad resonance is much larger than 5sigma. A partial wave analysis shows that the J;{PC} of this structure is 1--. Its pole position is determined to be [1576(-55)(+49)(stat)-91+98(syst)] MeV/c(2)-i/2[818(-23)(+22)(stat)-133+64(syst)] MeV/c(2). These parameters are not compatible with any known meson resonances. 相似文献

An enhancement near threshold is observed in the omega(phi) invariant mass spectrum from the doubly Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka-suppressed decays of J/psi-->gamma(omega)phi, based on a sample of 5.8 x 10(7) J/psi events collected with the BESII detector. A partial wave analysis shows that this enhancement favors JP=0+, and its mass and width are M=1812(+19)(-26)(stat)+/-18(syst) MeV/c2 and Gamma=105+/-20(stat)+/-28(syst) MeV/c2. The product branching fraction is determined to be B(J/psi-->gammaX)B(X-->omega(phi))=[2.61+/-0.27(stat)+/-0.65(syst)]x10(-4). 相似文献

Using a resonance isobar model and an effective Lagrangian approach, from recent BES results on J/psi-->ppeta and psi-->pK+Lamda, we deduce the ratio between effective coupling constants of N*(1535) to KLamda and peta to be R=gN*(153)KLamda/gN*(1535)peta=1.3+/-0.3. With the previous known value of gN*(1535)peta, the obtained new value of gN*(1535)KLamda is shown to reproduce recent pp-->pK+Lamdanear-threshold cross section data as well. Taking into account this large N*KLamda coupling in the coupled channel Breit-Wigner formula for the N*(1535), its Breit-Wigner mass is found to be around 1400 MeV, much smaller than the previous value of about 1535 MeV obtained without including its coupling to KLamda. The implication on the nature of N*(1535) is discussed. 相似文献

An enhancement near the m(p)+M(Lambda) mass threshold is observed in the combined pLambda and pLambda invariant-mass spectrum from J/psi-->pK(-)Lambda;+c.c. decays. It can be fit with an S-wave Breit-Wigner resonance with a mass m=2075+/-12(stat)+/-5(syst) MeV and a width of Gamma=90+/-35(stat)+/-9(syst) MeV; it can also be fit with a P-wave Breit-Wigner resonance. Evidence for a similar enhancement is also observed in psi(')-->pK(-)Lambda;+c.c. decays. The analysis is based on samples of 5.8x10(7)J/psi and 1.4x10(7)psi(') decays accumulated in the BES II detector at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider. 相似文献

Indications for the production of a neutral excited hyperon in the reaction pp --> pK+Y0* are observed in an experiment performed with the ANKE spectrometer at COSY-Jülich at p(beam) = 3.65 GeV/c. Two final states were investigated simultaneously, viz. Y0* --> pi+X- and pi-X+, and consistent results were obtained in spite of the quite different experimental conditions. The parameters of the hyperon state are M(Y0*) = (1480 +/-15) MeV/c2 and gamma(Y0*) = (60 +/- 15) MeV/c2. The production cross section for Y0* decaying through these channels is of the order of few hundred nanobarns. Since the isospin of the Y0* has not been determined here, it could either be an observation of the sigma(1480), a one-star resonance of the Particle Data Group tables, or, alternatively, a lambda hyperon. Relativistic quark models for the baryon spectrum do not predict any excited hyperon in this mass range and so the Y0* may be of exotic nature. 相似文献

We report a study of the processes e+e- -->J/psiD*D[over](*). In J/psiD*D[over]* we observe a significant enhancement in the D*D[over]* invariant mass spectrum, which we interpret as a new charmoniumlike state and denote X(4160). The X(4160) parameters are M=(4156(-20)+25+/-15) MeV/c2 and Gamma=(139(-61)+111+/-21) MeV. We also report a new measurement of the X(3940) mass and width: M=(3942(-6)+7+/-6) MeV/c2 and Gamma=(37(-15)+26+/-8) MeV. The analysis is based on a 693 fb(-1) data sample recorded near the Upsilon(4S) resonance by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy collider. 相似文献

The BES-III Collaboration recently reported the observation of anomalously large isospin violations in J/ψ→γη(1405/1475)→γπ(0)f(0)(980)→γ+3π, where the f(0)(980) in the ππ invariant mass spectrum appears to be much narrower (~10 MeV) than the peak width (~50 MeV) measured in other processes. We show that a mechanism, named as triangle singularity (TS), can produce a narrow enhancement between the charged and neutral KKˉ thresholds, i.e., 2m(K(±))~2m(K(0)). It can also lead to different invariant mass spectra for η(1405/1475)→a(0)(980)π and KK ˉ*+c.c., which can possibly explain the long-standing puzzle about the need for two close states η(1405) and η(1475) in ηππ and KKˉπ, respectively. The TS could be a key to our understanding of the nature of η(1405/1475) and advance our knowledge about the mixing between a(0)(980) and f(0)(980). 相似文献

The cross sections for e+e-→π+π-J/ψ, π+π-ψ(2S), K+K-J/ψ, DD, D0D-π++c.c., D*D+c.c., and D*D-* are measured using data sample collected on or near the T(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at KEKB. A peak near 4.25 GeV/c2, corresponding to the so called Y(4260), is observed in π+π-J/ψ final state. In addition, there is another cluster of events at around 4.05 GeV/c2. Two resonant structures are observed in the π+π-J/ψ(2S) invariant mass distribution, one at 4361±9±9 MeV/c2 with a width of 74±15±10 MeV/c2, and another at 4664±11±5 MeV/c2 with a width of 48±15±3 MeV/c2. The rich structures observed in all these final states indicate that our understanding of the vector charmonium states above the open charm threshold is still poor, let alone the other possible dynamics such as charmonium hybrids or final state re-scattering and so on. 相似文献

Results of resonance searches in the Xi(-)pi(-), Xi(-)pi(+), Xi;(+)pi(-), and Xi;(+)pi(+) invariant mass spectra in proton-proton collisions at sqrt[s]=17.2 GeV are presented. Evidence is shown for the existence of a narrow Xi(-)pi(-) baryon resonance with mass of 1.862+/-0.002 GeV/c(2) and width below the detector resolution of about 0.018 GeV/c(2). The significance is estimated to be above 4.2sigma. This state is a candidate for the hypothetical exotic Xi(--)(3/2) baryon with S=-2, I=3 / 2, and a quark content of (dsdsū). At the same mass, a peak is observed in the Xi(-)pi(+) spectrum which is a candidate for the Xi(0)(3/2) member of this isospin quartet with a quark content of (dsus[-]d). The corresponding antibaryon spectra also show enhancements at the same invariant mass. 相似文献

The momentum and isospin dependence of the in-medium nucleon mass are studied. Two definitions of the effective mass, i.e., the Dirac mass m*D and the nonrelativistic mass m*NR which parametrizes the energy spectrum, are compared. Both masses are determined from relativistic Dirac-Brueckner-Hartree-Fock calculations. The nonrelativistic mass shows a distinct peak around the Fermi momentum. The proton-neutron mass splitting in isospin asymmetric matter is m*D,nm*NR,p, which is consistent with nonrelativistic approaches. 相似文献

The decays of J/psi --> etaphif(0)(980)[eta --> gammagamma, phi --> K(+) K(-), f(0)(980) --> pi(+)pi(-)] are analyzed using a sample of 5.8 x 10(7) J/psi events collected with the BESII detector at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider. A structure at around 2.18 GeV/c(2) with about 5 sigma significance is observed in the phif(0)(980) invariant mass spectrum. A fit with a Breit-Wigner function gives the peak mass and width of m = 2.186+/-0.010(stat)+/-0.006(syst) GeV/c(2) and Gamma = 0.065+/-0.023(stat)+/-0.017(syst) GeV/c(2), respectively, which are consistent with those of Y(2175), observed by the BABAR Collaboration in the initial-state radiation process e(+)e(-) --> gamma(ISR) phif(0)(980). The production branching ratio is determined to be Br(J/psi --> etaY(2175))Br(Y(2175)- -> phif(0)(980))Br(f(0)(980) --> pi(+)pi(-)) = [3.23+/-0.75(stat)+/-0.73(syst)] x 10(-4), assuming that the Y(2175) is a 1(--) state. 相似文献

The reaction gamma p-->pi(+)K(-)K(+)n was studied at Jefferson Laboratory using a tagged photon beam with an energy range of 3-5.47 GeV. A narrow baryon state with strangeness S=+1 and mass M=1555+/-10 MeV/c(2) was observed in the nK(+) invariant mass spectrum. The peak's width is consistent with the CLAS resolution (FWHM=26 MeV/c(2)), and its statistical significance is (7.8+/-1.0)sigma. A baryon with positive strangeness has exotic structure and cannot be described in the framework of the naive constituent quark model. The mass of the observed state is consistent with the mass predicted by the chiral soliton model for the Theta(+) baryon. In addition, the pK(+) invariant mass distribution was analyzed in the reaction gamma p-->K(-)K(+)p with high statistics in search of doubly charged exotic baryon states. No resonance structures were found in this spectrum. 相似文献

We re-study nucleon pole contribution in J/ψ → NN^-π decays by including the imaginary part for the propagator of the off-shell nucleon with energy above π N threshold. It is found that when including the imaginary part in the propagator, the branching ratio of the decay width will descend about 11% compared with the result without including the imaginary part, no matter whether including the off-shell form factors or not. It also leads to a phase of up to 25° for the off-shell nucleon propagator at invariant mass around 1400 MeV. This effect needs to be considered for detailed partial wave analysis of N^* resonances around this mass region. 相似文献

We report the first observation of the decay J/psi-->3gamma. The signal has a statistical significance of 6sigma and corresponds to a branching fraction of B(J/psi-->3gamma)=(1.2+/-0.3+/-0.2)x10;{-5}, in which the errors are statistical and systematic, respectively. The measurement uses psi(2S)-->pi;{+}pi;{-}J/psi events acquired with the CLEO-c detector operating at the CESR e;{+}e;{-} collider. 相似文献

In an exclusive measurement of the reaction gammad-->K(+)K(-)pn, a narrow peak that can be attributed to an exotic baryon with strangeness S=+1 is seen in the K(+)n invariant mass spectrum. The peak is at 1.542+/-0.005 GeV/c(2) with a measured width of 0.021 GeV/c(2) FWHM, which is largely determined by experimental mass resolution. The statistical significance of the peak is (5.2+/-0.6)sigma. The mass and width of the observed peak are consistent with recent reports of a narrow S=+1 baryon by other experimental groups. 相似文献

The reaction gammap --> pK+K- was studied at Jefferson Lab with photon energies from 1.8 to 3.8 GeV using a tagged photon beam. The goal was to search for a Theta++ pentaquark, a narrow, doubly charged baryon state having strangeness S=+1 and isospin I=1, in the pK+ invariant mass spectrum. No statistically significant evidence of a Theta++ was found. Upper limits on the total and differential cross section for the reaction gammap --> K-Theta++ were obtained in the mass range from 1.5 to 2.0 GeV/c2, with an upper limit for a narrow resonance with a mass M(Theta++) = 1.54 GeV/c2 of about 0.15 nb, 95% C.L.. This result places a stringent upper limit on the Theta++ width Gamma(Theta++) <0.1 MeV/c2. 相似文献

Using 13.7 fb(-1) of data recorded by the CLEO detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, we investigate the spectrum of charmed baryons which decay into Lambda+(c)pi(-)pi(+) and are more massive than the Lambda+(c)(2625) baryon. We find evidence for two new states: one is broad and has an invariant mass roughly 480 MeV above that of the Lambda+(c) baryon; the other is narrow with an invariant mass of 596+/-1+/-2 MeV above the Lambda+(c) mass. 相似文献
