We wish to report the first measurements of (199)Hg NMR chemical shift data for a series of homoleptic Hg(II) complexes with thiacrown ligands and related aza and mixed thia/aza macrocycles. In mercury(II) complexes containing trithiacrown through hexathiacrown ligands, we observed (199)Hg NMR chemical shifts in the range of -298 to -1400 ppm. Upfield chemical shifts in these NMR spectra are seen whenever (a) the number of thioether sulfur donors in the complex is decreased, (b) a thioether sulfur donor is replaced by a secondary nitrogen donor, and (c) the size of the macrocycle ring increases without a change in the nature or number of the donor atoms. Changes in noncoordinating anions, such as hexafluorophosphate and perchlorate, have little effect on the (199)Hg chemical shift. For several complexes, we observed (3)J((199)Hg-(1)H) coupling in the range of 50-100 Hz, the first example of proton-mercury coupling through a C-S thioether bond. Also, we obtained unusual upfield (13)C NMR chemical shifts for methylene resonances in several of the thiacrown complexes which correspond to distortions within the five- and six-membered chelate rings bound to the mercury ion. We report the X-ray crystal structure of the complex [Hg(18S6)](PF(6))(2) (18S6 = 1,4,7,10,13,16-hexathiacyclooctadecane). The molecule crystallizes in the rare trigonal space group Pm1 with hexakis(thioether) coordination around the Hg(II) center confirming previous X-ray photoemission spectroscopic data on the compound. The lack of an observable (199)Hg NMR signal for the complex is the result of the identical length (2.689(2) Angstroms) of all six Hg-S bonds. We additionally report the X-ray structure of the complex [Hg(9N3)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (9N3 = 1,4,7-triazacyclononane) which shows hexakis(amine) coordination of the 9N3 to form a distorted trigonal prismatic structure. Solution dissociation of the one of the 9N3 ligands from the mercury ion is confirmed by multinuclear NMR experiments. For six-coordinate macrocyclic Hg(II) complexes, N6 donor sets have a preference for trigonal prisms while S6 donor sets favor octahedral structures.  相似文献

The NO2S2-donor macrocycle (L1) was synthesised from the ring closure reaction between Boc-N-protected 2,2'-iminobis(ethanethiol) (3) and 2,2'-(ethylenedioxy)bis(benzyl chloride) (4) followed by deprotection of the Boc-group. alpha,alpha'-Dibromo-p-xylene was employed as a dialkylating agent to bridge two L1 to yield the corresponding N-linked product (L2). The X-ray structure of L2 (as its HBr salt) is described. A range of Cd(II) and Hg(II) complexes of L1 (6-9) and L2 (10-12) were prepared and characterised. Reaction of HgX2 (X = Br or I) with L1 afforded [Hg(L1)Br]2[Hg2Br6].2CH2Cl2 6 and [Hg(L1)I(2)] 7, respectively. For 6, the Hg(II) ion in the complex cation has a distorted tetrahedral coordination environment composed of S2N donor atoms from L1 and a bromo ligand. In 7 the coordination geometry is highly distorted tetrahedral, with the macrocycle coordinating in an exodentate manner via one S and one N atom. The remaining two coordination sites are occupied by iodide ions. [Hg(L1)(ClO4)]ClO4 8 was isolated from the reaction of Hg(ClO4)2 and L1. The X-ray structure reveals that all macrocyclic ring donors bind to the central mercury ion in this case, with the latter exhibiting a highly distorted octahedral coordination geometry. The O2S2-donors from the macrocyclic ring define the equatorial plane while the axial positions are occupied by the ring nitrogen as well as by an oxygen from a monodentate perchlorato ion. Reaction of Cd(NO3)(2).4H2O with L1 afforded [Cd(L1)(NO3)2](.)0.5CH2Cl2 9 in which L1 acts as a tridentate ligand, binding exo-fashion via its S2N donors. The remaining coordination positions are filled by two bidentate nitrate ions such that, overall, the cadmium is seven-coordinate. Reactions of HgX2(X = Br or I) with L2 yielded the isostructural 2 : 1 (metal : ligand) complexes, [Hg2(L2)Br4] 10 and [Hg2(L2)I(4)] 11. Each mercury ion has a distorted tetrahedral environment made up of S and N donors from an exodentate L2 and two coordinated halides. Contrasting with this, the reaction of L2 with Cd(NO3)(2).4H2O yielded a 1-D coordination network, {[Cd2(L2)(NO3)4].2CH2Cl2}n 12 in which each ring of L2 is exo-coordinated via two S atoms and one N atom to a cadmium ion which is also bound to one monodentate and one bidentate nitrate anion. The latter also has one of its oxygen atom attached to a neighboring cadmium via a nitroso (mu2-O) bridge such that the overall coordination geometry about each cadmium is seven-coordinate. The [Cd(L2)0.5(NO3)2] units are linked by an inversion to yield the polymeric arrangement.  相似文献

Formation of ternary Cd(II) and Hg(II) complexes with cytidine 5′-monophosphate (CMP) and triamines has been studied. Complexes M(CMP)(H x PA) and M(CMP)(PA) (M?=?Cd, Hg; PA?=?polyamine) were detected and overall stability constants and equilibrium constants for their formation determined. The mode of coordination in the complexes has been proposed on the basis of the equilibrium and 13C, 31P NMR and IR studies. In the Hg(II) systems, metalation involves the donor endocyclic N(3) atom, the CMP phosphate group and nitrogen donor atoms of PA. Relative to the Hg/CMP binary systems, the presence of a polyamine in ternary systems does not change the metal–nucleotide mode of coordination. In ternary systems including Hg(II) ions, the occurrence of noncovalent interactions has not been detected. Cd(II) ions form molecular complexes as well as protonated species. Introduction of a polyamine to the Cd/CMP system changes the coordination mode of the nucleotide. The phosphate group of CMP is inactive in binary complexes (metalation by the N(3) atom) but is involved in coordination in heteroligand species. In contrast to other polyamines studied, in the system including 1,7-diamino-4-azaheptane (3,3-tri), the phosphate group of CMP in Cd(CMP)(H3,3-tri) does not participate in metalation but is engaged in intramolecular noncovalent interactions that stabilize the complex.  相似文献

Zinc(II), cadmium(II) and mercury(II) complexes of thiourea (TU) and selenourea (SeU) of general formula M(TU)2Cl2 or M(SeU)2Cl2 have been prepared. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis and NMR (1H, 13C, 15N, 77Se and 113Cd) spectroscopy. A low-frequency shift of the C=S resonance of thiones in 13C NMR and high-frequency shifts of N–H resonances in 1H and 15N NMR are consistent with sulfur or selenium coordination to the metal ions. The Se nucleus in Cd(SeU)2Cl2 in 77Se NMR is deshielded by 87?ppm on coordination, relative to the free ligand. In comparison, the analogous Zn(II) and Hg(II) complexes show deshielding by 33 and 50?ppm, respectively, indicating that the orbital overlap of Se with Cd is better. Principal components of 77Se and 113Cd shielding tensors were determined from solid-state NMR data.  相似文献

A series of coordination complexes with the compositions CuL, NiL×2H2 O, ML2 Cl2 (M =Pt(II), Hg(II)) and M(L-H)2 (M =Pd(II)), Cd(II)), where L =N-benzoyl-N'-2-nitro-4-methoxyphenylthiourea, were synthesized and characterized by conductance, EPR, IR and electronic spectral studies and thermogravimetric analysis. The IR and electronic spectra suggest coordination through the thiocarbonyl S and carbonyl O in the Pd(II) and Cd(II) complexes, and S bonding for the Pt(II) and Hg(II) complexes. The Cu(II) and Ni(II) complexes have polymeric structures in which the ligand is coordinated via the N, O and S atoms. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

The geometries and energetics of complexes of Hg(II) and Pb(II) with sulfur‐ and aminopyridine‐containing chelating resin including crosslinked polystyrene immobilizing 2‐aminopyridine via sulfur‐containing (PVBS‐AP), sulfoxide‐containing (PVBSO‐AP), and sulfone‐containing (PVBSO2‐AP) spacer arms have been investigated theoretically, and thus interactions of the metal ions with chelating resins were evaluated. The results indicate that PVBS‐AP behaves as a tridentate ligand to coordinate with the metal ions by S and two N atoms to form chelating compounds with S atom playing a dominant role in the coordination, whereas PVBSO‐AP and PVBSO2‐AP interact with metal cations, respectively, in a tricoordinate manner by O and two N atoms forming chelating complexes. Furthermore, it is revealed that O and N2 atoms of PVBSO‐AP are the main contributor of coordination to Hg(II), whereas N2 atom of PVBSO2‐AP is mainly responsible for the coordination to Hg(II). For PVBSO‐AP‐Pb2+ and PVBSO2‐AP‐Pb2+ complex, the coordination is dominated by the synergetic effect of N1, N2, and O atoms. Natural bond orbital and second‐order perturbation analyses suggest that the charge transfer from the chelating resins to metal ions is mainly dominated by the interactions of lone pair of electrons of the donor atoms with the unoccupied orbitals of metal ions. Hg(II) complexes exhibit larger binding energies than the corresponding Pb(II) complexes, implying the chelating resins exhibit higher affinity toward Hg(II), which is consistent with the experimental results. Combined the theoretical and experimental results, further understanding of the structural information of the complexes and the coordination mechanism was achieved. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We wish to report the synthesis, crystal structures, spectroscopic and electrochemical properties of several new Pt(II) heteroleptic complexes containing the thiacrown, 9S3 (1,4,7-trithiacyclononane) with a series of substituted phenanthroline ligands and related diimine systems. These five ligands are 5,6-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline(5,6-Me2-phen), 4,7-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline(4,7-Me2-phen), 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline(4,7-Ph2-phen), 2,2′-bipyrimidine(bpm), and pyrazino[2,3-f]quinoxaline or 1,4,5,8-tetraazaphenanthrene(tap). All complexes have the general formula [Pt(9S3)(N2)](PF6)2 (N2 = diimine ligand) and form similar structures in which the Pt(II) center is surrounded by a cis arrangement of the two N donors from the diimine chelate and two sulfur atoms from the 9S3 ligand. The third 9S3 sulfur in each structure forms a longer interaction with the platinum resulting in an elongated square pyramidal structure, and this distance is sensitive to the identity of the diimine ligand. In addition, we report the synthesis, structural, electrochemical, and spectroscopic properties of related Pd(II) 9S3 complex with tap. The 195Pt NMR chemical shifts for the six Pt(II) complexes show a value near −3290 ppm, consistent with a cis-PtS2N2 coordination sphere although more electron-withdrawing ligands such as tap show resonances shifted by almost 100 ppm downfield. The physicochemical properties of the complexes generally follow the electron-donating or withdrawing properties of the phenanthroline substituents.  相似文献

The coordination characteristic of the investigated thiosemicarbazones towards hazard pollutants, Cd(II) and Hg(II), becomes the first goal. Their complexes have been studied by microanalysis, thermal, electrochemical and spectral (electronic, IR and MS) studies. The substitutent (salicylaldehyde, acetophenone, benzophenone, o-hydroxy-p-methoxybenzophenone or diacetylmonoxime) plays an important role in the complex formation. The coordination sites were the S for thiosemicarbazide (HTS); NN for benzophenone thiosemicarbazone (HBTS); NS for acetophenone thiosemicarbazone (HATS) and salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone (H(2)STS); NNS or NSO for diacetylmonoxime thiosemicarbazone (H(2)DMTS). The stability constants of Hg(II) complexes were higher than Cd(II). The kinetic and thermodynamic parameters for the different thermal decomposition steps in the complexes have been evaluated. The activation energy values of the first step ordered the complexes as: [Cd(H(2)STS)Cl(2)]H(2)O>[Cd(H(2)DAMTS)Cl(2)]>[Cd(HBTS)(2)Cl(2)]2H(2)O>[Cd(HATS)(2)Cl(2)]. The CV of [Cd(H(2)STS)Cl(2)]H(2)O and [Hg(HBTS)Cl(2)] were recorded. The use of H(2)DMTS as a new reagent for the separation and determination of Cd(II) ions from water and some synthetic samples using flotation technique is aimed to be discussed.  相似文献

A bidentate iminophenol (HL = 2-((4-methoxyphenylimino)methyl)-4,6-di-tert-butylphenol derived from condensation of 4-methoxyaniline and 3,5-di-tert-butyl-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde) was mixed with divalent metal salts to form the corresponding mononuclear metal complexes [MII(L)2] (M = Co (1), Cu (2), and Zn (3)). The complexes are characterized by different spectroscopic and analytical tools. X-ray crystal structures of the complexes revealed homoleptic mononuclear complexes with MN2O2 coordination. The cobalt(II) (1) and zinc(II) (3) complexes display a pseudo-tetrahedral coordination geometry, whereas the copper(II) complex (2) exhibits a distorted square-planar coordination. The zinc(II) complex (3) emits at 460 nm with a twofold enhancement of emission with respect to the free iminophenol.  相似文献

Zn (II), Cd (II), Hg (II) and U (VI)O22+ complexes of water‐soluble thiosemicarbazone ligand (NaH3PyTSC) have been prepared and characterized using various techniques. Fourier transform‐infrared (FT‐IR) demonstrated that NaH3PyTSC ligand behaves as a binegative NOS tridentate in [Hg(H2PyTSC)(H2O)]2 and [UO2(H2PyTSC)(H2O)]2 complexes via the deprotonated SH, (C=N)az groups from one molecule and SO3? group from another molecule, while it behaves as a binegative NNSO tetradentate in [Cd(H2PyTSC)(H2O)2]2 complex through the deprotonated SH group, the SO3? group and the nitrogen of both the (C=N)az and (C=N)py. Finally, it behaves as a binegative OO bidentate in [Zn(H2PyTSC)(H2O)2]2·2H2O complex by the deprotonated OH group from one molecule and SO3? group from another ligand molecule. The spectral data suggest a tetrahedral coordination around Hg (II) and Zn (II) ions, and an octahedral coordination around Cd (II) and U (VI)O22+ ions. The NaH3PyTSC ligand exhibited maximum luminescent intensity at 501 nm, while Zn (II), Cd (II) and Hg (II) chelates show emission bands at 459, 458 and 358 nm, respectively. Two comparable methods were used to estimate various thermodynamic parameters. Cyclic voltammetry has been studied for Cd (II) complex in solution. Different biological applications of the isolated complexes have been estimated. It was found that [Cd(H2PyTSC)(H2O)2]2 showed the most effective antioxidant and anticancer activity.  相似文献

We report the measurement of 113Cd NMR chemical shift data for homoleptic thioether and related aza and mixed aza/thiacrown complexes. In a series of Cd(II) complexes containing trithioether to hexathioether ligands, we observe solution 113Cd NMR chemical shifts in the range of 225 to 731 ppm. Upfield chemical shifts in these NMR spectra are seen whenever: (a) the number of thioether sulfur donors in the complex is decreased, (b) a thioether sulfur donor is replaced by a secondary nitrogen donor, or (c) the size of the macrocycle ring increases without a change in the nature or number of the donor atoms. Changes in the identity of non-coordinating anions such as perchlorate or hexafluorophosphate have little effect upon the 113Cd NMR chemical shift in solution. We report the X-ray structure of the complex [Cd([12]aneS4)2](ClO4)2 ([12]aneS4 = 1,4,7,10-tetrathiacyclododecane) (1) which shows the first example of octakis(thioether) coordination of a metal ion, forming an unusual eight-coordinate square antiprismatic structure. We report the X-ray structure of the complex [Cd([9]aneS3)2](PF6)2 ([9]aneS3 = 1,4,7-trithiacyclononane) (3a) which shows hexakis(thioether) coordination to form a distorted octahedral structure. We have also prepared and characterized the Cd(II) complex of a mixed azathiacrown, [Cd([18]aneS4N2)](PF6)2 ([18]aneS4N2 = 1,4,10,13-tetrathia-7,16-diazacyclooctadecane) (6). Its X-ray structure shows a distorted octahedral S4N2 environment around the Cd(II) with the ligand coordinated in the rac fashion. We observe a solvent- and temperature-dependent 14N-1H coupling in the 1H NMR spectrum of the complex which is not present in analogous complexes with this ligand.  相似文献

The metal templated Cd(II) cyclocondensation of 2,6-diacetylpiridine or 2,6-pyridinedicarbaldehyde and two different amines containing piperazine moieties have been investigated. The resulting ligands, L1 and L2 are 16- and L3 and L4 17-membered pentaaza macrocycles. The complexes have been characterized by a variety of methods including IR, 1H, 13C NMR, DEPT, COSY(H,H), HMQC(H,C), FAB spectrometry and conductivimetry measurements. The crystal structures of [CdL2Cl](CH3OH)ClO4 (2) and [CdL4(NO3)(H2O)]ClO4 (4) have been also determined, and it was shown that the geometry of the Cd(II) ion in the complexes is slightly distorted pentagonal pyramidal and pentagonal bipyramidal, respectively. The gas-phase structures of ligands, L2 and L4 and their Cd(II) complexes have also theoretically studied.  相似文献

Bibracchial lariat ethers L3 and L4, derived from the condensation of N,N′-bis(2-aminobenzyl)-1,10-diaza-15-crown-5 or N,N′-bis(2-aminobenzyl)-4,13-diaza-18-crown-6 with salicylaldehyde, form binuclear complexes with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II). Our studies show that the different denticity and crown moiety size of the two related receptors give rise to important differences on the structures of the corresponding complexes. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the [Ni2(L3)(H2O)2]2+ and [Cu2(L3)(NO3)]+ complexes constitute a rare example in which an oxygen atom of the crown moiety is bridging the two six coordinate metal ions. In contrast, none of the oxygen atoms of the crown moiety is acting as a bridging donor atom in the [Co2(L4)(CH3CN)2]2+, [Cu2(L4)]2+ and [Zn2(L4)]2+ complexes. This is attributed to the larger size the crown moiety and the higher denticity of L4 compared to L3. In [Co2(L4)(CH3CN)2]2+ the metal ions show a distorted octahedral coordination, while in the Cu(II) and Zn(II) analogues the metal ions are five-coordinated in a distorted trigonal bipyramidal environment. In [Cu2(L3)(NO3)]+ the coordinated nitrate anion acts as a bidentate bridging ligand, which results in the formation of a 1D coordination polymer.  相似文献

The new Cu(II) and Cd(II) complexes of the biologically relevant ligand 2-hydroxymethylbenzimidazole: [CdL2(NO3)2] 1, ([CuL2(NO3)](NO3)(H2O) 2, [CdL3](NO3)2L(EtOH)0.253, mer-[CuL3](NO3)2(H2O)(i-PrOH) 4 have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, UV–Vis, IR, Raman, EPR, NMR, X-ray diffraction and magnetic measurements. X-ray studies have confirmed a bidentate fashion of coordination of the 2-CH2OHBIm to the Cd(II) as well to Cu(II) ions. This results in the formulation of a five-membered chelate ring in which both N(imidazole) and O(hydroxymethyl) donors of ligand are involved. A comparison of Cu(II) 4 and Cd(II) 3 model complexes shows that both metals may form complexes which exhibit identical structures (distorted octahedral) forming chromophores of the MN3O3 type. On the contrary, the polyhedra of metal complexes containing two ligands are different. The copper complex 2 is a five-coordinated with tetragonal pyramid as coordination polyhedron (CuN2O3) but cadmium forms an eight-coordinated (CdN2O6) complex 1. Weak C–H?π type interactions which were extracted from X-ray data of 1 were confirmed by the 13C NMR method. The IR data indicated that Cd(II) is a considerably better acceptor (Lewis acid) than Cu(II) ion for the N, O-donor ligand. The similarities and differences revealed in the coordination behaviour of Cu(II) and Cd(II) towards N, O-donor ligand should be treated as a test on possibility of the copper(II) ions to be displaced by cadmium(II), for example, in the intracellular sites.  相似文献

The mononuclear complexes of Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II), [Zn(phen-dione)Cl2], [Cd(phen-dione)Cl2] and [Hg(phen-dione)Cl2], where phen-dione?=?1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione, have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and IR, 1H?NMR and electronic absorption spectroscopies. The ν(C=O) of coordinated phen-dione ligands in these complexes shows that the phen-dione is not coordinated to metal ion from its C=O sites. Electronic spectra of the complexes show two absorption bands for intraligand transitions. These absorption bands show dependence on the dielectric constant of solvents. These complexes exhibit an intense fluorescence band around 545?nm in DMSO when the excitation wavelengths are 200?nm at room temperature.  相似文献

Reaction of group 12 metal dihalides in ethanolic media with 2‐acetylpyridine 4N‐phenylthiosemicarbazone ( H4PL ) and 2‐acetylpyridine‐N‐oxide 4N‐phenylthiosemicarbazone ( H4PLO ) afforded the compounds [M(H4PL)X2] (X = Cl, Br, M = Zn, Cd, Hg; X = I, M = Zn, Cd) ( 1–8 ), [Hg(4PL)I]2 ( 9 ) and [M(H4PLO)X2] (X = Cl, Br, I, M = Zn, Cd, Hg) ( 10–18 ). H4PL , H4PLO and their complexes were characterized by elemental analysis and by IR and 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy (and the cadmium complexes by 113Cd NMR spectroscopy), and H4PL , H4PLO , ( 5 · DMSO) and ( 9 ) were additionally studied by X‐ray diffraction. H4PL is N,N,S‐tridentate in all its complexes, including 9 , in which it is deprotonated, and H4PLO is in all cases O,N,S‐tridentate. In all the complexes, the metal atoms are pentacoordinate and the coordination polyhedra are redistorted tetragonal pyramids. In assays of antifungal activity against Aspergillus niger and Paecilomyces variotii, the only compound to show any activity was [Hg(H4PLO)I2] ( 18 ).  相似文献

In methanol, the metal salts CdCl2.H2O and HgCl2 react instantaneously with the deprotonated ligand, L-, producing molecular dimetallic ink-blue complexes of general formula M2Cl2L2, M=Cd(II), (1) and Hg(II), (2) (HL=2-[2-(pyridylamino)phenylazo]pyridine). Crystal structures of these two complexes are reported. The coordination sphere around each Cd(II) ion in 1 is a distorted square pyramidal. The metal ion (Cd1) sits above the basal plane of three nitrogen atoms, N(1), N(3), and N(4). The second cadmium ion (Cd2) in this compound lies below the plane of three nitrogen atoms, N(6), N(8), and N(9). The apical positions are occupied by two Cl atoms. Secondary intramolecular interactions between the metal ions and the anionic secondary amine nitrogen atoms (N(4) and N(9)) are noted. The geometry of each Hg(II) ion in the mercury complex, Hg2Cl2L2.0.5H2O, is also distorted square based pyramid with the metal ions lying out of planes of the three nitrogen atoms of the chelating ligands. Secondary Hg(1)...N(1A) (deprotonated amine) interactions are noted. The separation between the two Hg(II) ions in this complex is within the sum of their van der Waals radii. Solution properties of these blue complexes are reported. The origin of the intense blue color in these complexes is the intraligand transitions that occur near 615 nm. 1H NMR of Hg2Cl2L2.0.5H2O indicates that it undergoes exchange in solution with the coordinated ligands.  相似文献

Novel macrocyclic bis(disulfide)tetramine ligands and several Cu(II) and Ni(II) complexes of them with additional ligands have been synthesized by the oxidative coupling of linear tetradentate N2S2 tetramines with iodine. Facile demetalation of the Ni(II) oxidation products affords the free 20-membered macrocycles meso-9 and rac-9 and the 22-membered macrocycle 16, all of which are potentially octadentate N4S4 ligands. X-ray structure analyses reveal distinctly different conformations for the two isomers of 9; meso-9 shows a stepped conformation in profile with the disulfide groups corresponding to the rise of the step, whereas rac-9 exhibits a V conformation with the disulfide groups near the vertex of the V. No metal complexes of rac-9 have been isolated. Crystallographic studies of three Cu(II) complexes reveal that depending upon the size of the macrocyclic ligand and the nature of the additional ligands (I-, NCO-, and CH3CN), the Cu(II) coordination geometry shows considerable variation (plasticity), with substantial changes in the Cu(II)-disulfide bonding. Thus, a diiodide salt contains six-coordinate Cu(II) to which all four bridging disulfide sulfur atoms form strong equatorial bonds. In contrast, isocyanato complexes of the 20- and 22-membered macrocycles exhibit trigonal-bipyramidal Cu(II) and distorted cis-octahedral Cu(II) geometries, respectively, having only one and no short equatorially bound sulfur atoms. The coordination geometry of the latter complex can also be described as four-coordinate seesaw with two semicoordinated S(disulfide) ligands. Disulfide-->Cu(II) ligand-to-metal charge transfer absorptions of both isocyanato-containing Cu(II) species appear too weak to observe, probably because of poor overlap of the sulfur orbitals with the Cu(II) d-vacancy. The dual disulfide-bridged Ni(II) units of the crystallographically characterized octahedral Ni(II) complex of meso-9 with axial iodide and acetonitrile ligands promote substantial antiferromagnetic coupling (J = -13.0(2) cm-1).  相似文献

Monomeric and Polymeric Dimethylaminothiosquarato Complexes: The Crystal Structures of Nickel(II), Cobalt(II), Silver(I), Platinum(II), Gold(I), Mercury(II) and Lead(II) Dimethylaminothiosquarates The ligand 2‐dimethylamino‐3, 4‐dioxo‐cyclobut‐1‐en‐thiolate, Me2N‐C4O2S (L) forms neutral and anionic complexes with nickel(II), cobalt(II)‐, silver(I)‐, platinum(II)‐, gold(I)‐, mercury(II)‐ and lead(II). According to the crystal structures of seven complexes the ligand is O, S‐chelating in [Ni(L)2(H2O)2]·2 H2O, [Co(L)2(CH3OH)2] and (with limitations) in [Pb(L)2·DMF]. In the remaining compounds the ligand behaves essentially as a thiolate ligand. The platinum, gold and mercury complexes [TMA]2[Pt(L)4], [TMA] [Au(L)2] and [Hg(L)2] are monomeric. In [TMA][Ag2(L)3]·5.5 H2O a chain‐like structure was found. In the asymmetric unit of this structure eight silver ions, with mutual distances in the range 2.8949(4) to 3.1660(3)Å, are coordinated by twelve thiosquarato ligands. [Pb(L)2·DMF] has also a polymeric structure. It contains a core of edge‐bridged, irregular PbS4 polyhedra. TMA[Au(H2NC4O2S)2] has also been prepared and its structure elucidated.  相似文献

The present work describes the preparation and characterization of some metal ion complexes derived from 4-formylpyridine-4 N-(2-pyridyl)thiosemicarbazone (HFPTS). The complexes have the formula; [Cd(HFPTS)2H2O]Cl2, [CoCl2(HPTS)]·H2O, [Cu2Cl4(HPTS)]·H2O, [Fe (HPTS)2Cl2]Cl·3H2O, [Hg(HPTS)Cl2]·4H2O, [Mn(HPTS)Cl2]·5H2O, [Ni(HPTS)Cl2]·2H2O, [UO2(FPTS)2(H2O)]·3H2O. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, spectral (IR, 1H-NMR and UV–Vis), thermal and magnetic moment measurements. The neutral bidentate coordination mode is major for the most investigated complexes. A mononegative bidentate for UO2(II), and neutral tridentate for Cu(II). The tetrahedral arrangement is proposed for most investigated complexes. The biological investigation displays the toxic activity of Hg(II) and UO2(II) complexes, whereas the ligand displays the lowest inhibition activity toward the most investigated microorganisms.  相似文献
