High-viscosity modified (HVM) asphalt was prepared by the addition of styrene–butadiene–styrene, furfural exact oil (FEO, plasticizer), sulphur (crosslinker). The low-temperature rheological properties of HVM asphalt were investigated by using bending beam rheometer, and different analysis ways including Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis, thermal analysis, 1hydrogen nuclear magnetic resonance (1NMR) analysis, elemental analysis, optical microscopy were used to investigate the structural characteristics of modified asphalts and FEO. Rheological tests demonstrated the effect of each modifier on low-temperature rheological performances of asphalt and displayed the structural characteristics of each binder to some extent. FTIR analysis indicated the effect of ageing and modifier on the distribution of functional groups of modified asphalt before and after ageing. Morphology observation showed the distribution of polymer in asphalt with different modifications or ageing. The thermal analysis showed the effect of each modifier on thermal behaviour of asphalt before and after ageing and confirmed the result of FTIR analysis and morphology observation further. Besides, the constituents of base asphalt and plasticizer were also investigated and compared further by adopting elemental analysis, and 1HNMR and FTIR tests.  相似文献

HMS-PP in grains was synthesized by the gamma irradiation of PP under a crosslinking atmosphere of acetylene, followed by thermal treatment for radical recombination and thermal treatment for annihilation of the remaining radicals. The UV stability of the material was evaluated in pellet form. The accelerated weathering test of HMS-PP samples were performed under artificial ultra-violet light and in a condensation chamber Comexim (C-UV type) apparatus with UV exposure for 120 and 240 h. The results were compared to those from ageing caused by sunlight and dew under natural exposition. This work investigated changes in mechanical proprieties (elongation and rupture strength), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), optical microscopy (MO), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and rheological properties of HMS-PP after the UV ageing. We find that the HMS-PP has more degradation than regular PP and undergoes predominate chain scission in aggressive UV ageing conditions.  相似文献

30 wt% aligned untreated long hemp fibre/PLA (AUL) and aligned alkali treated long hemp fibre/PLA (AAL) composites were produced by film stacking and subjected to accelerated ageing. Accelerated ageing was carried out using UV irradiation and water spray at 50 °C for four different time intervals (250, 500, 750 and 1000 h). After accelerated ageing, tensile strength (TS), flexural strength, Young's modulus (YM), flexural modulus and mode I fracture toughness (KIc) were found to decrease and impact strength (IS) was found to increase for both AUL and AAL composites. AUL composites had greatest overall reduction in mechanical properties than that for AAL composites upon exposure to accelerated ageing environment. FTIR analysis and crystallinity contents of the accelerated aged composites support the results of the deterioration of mechanical properties upon exposure to accelerated ageing environment.  相似文献

This article presents the effect of adding poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) with different molecular weights on the mechanical properties of asphalt in terms of durability, strength, and resistance to rutting. By controlling the time of reaction we obtained PMMA of two different molecular weights: PMMA1 and PMMA2. The ageing properties of polymer modified asphalts were studied using the thin film over (oven) a test. A hot storage stability test was carried out for polymer modified binder. The physical properties of asphalt modified with PMMA including penetration value and softening point were examined at two different temperatures. Resilient modulus test was evaluated by a Universal Testing Machine. Results showed that an incorporation of PMMA into asphalt binder has significantly improved its properties under studies. Indirect tensile strength test and durability performance of the modified asphalts was evaluated as well. The resulted modification was found to be dependent on the polymer molecular weight. The PMMA1 exhibited effective and cheerful results.  相似文献

Soybean-derived bio-oil is one of the vegetable-based oils that is gaining the most interest for potential use in the rejuvenation of aged asphalt binders. This laboratory study was conducted to characterize and quantify the diffusion and rheological properties of bio-oil-rejuvenated aged asphalt binder (BRAA) using soybean oil. In the study, the chemical structure of the soybean oil was comparatively characterized using an element analyzer (EA), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), and a Fourier infrared (FTIR) spectrometer, respectively. Based on the chemical structure of the bio-oil, BRAA molecular models were built for computing the diffusion parameters using molecular dynamic simulations. Likewise, a dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) test device was used for measuring and quantifying the rheological properties of the aged asphalt binder rejuvenated with 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, and 5% soybean oil, respectively. The laboratory test results indicate that bio-oil could potentially improve the diffusion coefficients and phase angle of the aged asphalt binder. Similarly, the corresponding decrease in the complex shear modulus has a positive effect on the low-temperature properties of BRAA. For a bio-oil dosage 4.0%, the diffusion coefficients of the BRAA components are 1.52 × 10−8, 1.33 × 10−8, 3.47 × 10−8, 4.82 × 10−8 and 3.92 × 10−8, respectively. Similarly, the corresponding reduction in the complex shear modulus from 1.27 × 107 Pa to 4.0 × 105 Pa suggests an improvement in the low-temperature properties of BRAA. Overall, the study contributes to the literature on the potential use of soybean-derived bio-oil as a rejuvenator of aged asphalt binders.  相似文献

A UV indicator/dosimeter based on benzyl viologen (BV2+) encapsulated in polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is described. Upon exposure to UV light, the BV2+/PVA film turns a striking purple colour due to the formation of the cation radical, BV•+. The usual oxygen sensitivity of BV•+ is significantly reduced due to the very low oxygen permeability of the encapsulating polymer, PVA. Exposure of a typical BV2+/PVA film, for a set amount of time, to UVB light with different UV indices produces different levels of BV•+, as measured by the absorbance of the film at 550 nm. A plot of the change in absorbance at this wavelength, ΔAbs(550), as a function of UV index, UVI, produces a linear calibration curve which allows the film to be used as a UVB indicator, and a similar procedure could be employed to allow it to be used as a solar UVI indicator. A typical BV2+/PVA film generates a significant, semi-permanent (stable for >24 h) saturated purple colour (absorbance ~0.8–0.9) upon exposure to sunlight equivalent to a minimal erythemal dose associated with Caucasian skin, i.e. skin type II. The current drawbacks of the film and the possible future use of the BV2+/PVA film as a personal solar UV dosimeter for all skin types are briefly discussed.   相似文献

Bis(hydroxymethyl)phosphinic acid and melamine were shown by FTIR and UV spectroscopy to form the salt (melafen), whose cations and anions involving water molecules can be joined into supramolecular structures due to electrostatic interactions and hydrogen bonds. The conductometry, dielcometric titration, and dynamic light scattering methods showed that melafen in water and chloroform in a concentration range of 10−10–10−4 mol L−1 involving the solvent structures exist as supramolecular polymeric nanostructures, whose size and properties change nonlinearly depending on the melafen concentration. 采用浸渍-提拉法制备了一系列石墨烯氧化物(GO)薄膜,并通过X射线衍射(XRD),扫描电镜(SEM),傅里叶变换红外光谱,紫外-可见吸收光谱和光电化学测量等技术对样品进行了表征.在GO电极上观察到阴极光电流,且光电流密度受薄膜的厚度影响.GO薄膜电极厚度为27nm时,光电流密度为0.25μA·cm-2.此外,GO电极的光电响应还受紫外光照影响,随着紫外光照时间的延长,阴极光电流逐渐减小.该工作提供了简便的通过控制薄膜厚度或紫外光照时间来控制GO薄膜半导体光电化学性能的方法.  相似文献

A novel star polyurethane acrylate (SPUA) used for UV‐curable coating was prepared from 2,4‐toluene diisocyanate, 2‐hydroxyethyl arcylate, and hexakis(2‐hydroxyethyl)melamine, and characterized using FTIR, 1H‐NMR, and elemental analysis. Its UV curing behaviors investigated via FTIR clearly indicated that this monomer could be cured rapidly at air atmosphere. The conversion of the unsaturated bond of the cured monomer sample is near to 72% after exposed under UV light for 40 sec. The hardness, flexibility, and mechanical properties of the cured film were also investigated. The thermal stability of the cured film was studied using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and real time Fourier transform infrared (RTFTIR). Sol–gel and dip-coating methods were used to prepare the modified nano-TiO2 film electrode; its photocatalytic and electrochemical properties were investigated under both UV light and sunlight for the degradation of Disperse Blue. The results showed that the effect of co-doping metal and non-metal ions was better than that of single metal ion doping or no doping. Y–F co-doping could better take advantage of sunlight so as to decrease the energy gap of semiconductor and to improve the utilization of visible light, while Ce–F co-doping served to separate photo-generated h + /e pairs, which resulted in better degradation of dye under UV light. The grain size of prepared electrode was from 15 to 25 nm, and nano particles were arranged smoothly as well as closely with each other, confirming to be an effective binder. The final decolorization extents reached 44.43% under sunlight and 96.86% under UV light within 30 min, respectively.  相似文献

This work presents a preliminary study on the ageing process of proteinaceous binder materials used in painting under UV light. With this aim, two sets of model samples were prepared: samples prepared using a single protein material and complex samples prepared in a similar way to the sequence of layers in a real painting from lowest to highest complexity (protein, drying oils, pigment and varnish). The study focuses on acquiring information about the possible degradation process of proteinaceous binders due to ageing and how this process be affected by the presence of characteristic non-proteinaceous painting materials, such as lipids from linseed oil, terpenic compounds from varnish and inorganic pigments. Samples simulated the accelerated ageing process, as did the UV light exposition. The FT-IR spectra were recorded after 100, 500, 1000 and 1500 h of exposition. The study of the accelerated ageing process was performed by means of principal component analysis (PCA) using the FT-IR spectra obtained. Loadings from the significant principal components were analysed to find the FT-IR frequency (cm−1) involved in the degradation process. The study showed the lack of any relevant modification on the proteins in the single model samples. On the contrary, the complex model samples showed the ageing process. The accelerated ageing process can be explained by a principal component from PCA. The most affected IR region was 2900-3600 cm−1, where the amide band was included.  相似文献

Nanofilms were prepared by alternating deposition of Mg–Al (2:1) NO 3 layered double hydroxide (LDH), hectorite and silica particles present study. The charge density of the oppositely charged materials strongly affect film properties like thickness and ordering. The specific charge of the colloidal particles was measured with the particle charge detector. The sequential build up of the thin films was followed by spectrophotometry and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The surface morphology of the formed multilayers was characterized and film thickness determination was performed by atomic force microscopy. The influence of the charge density of hectorite and silica particles on the LDH/hectorite, LDH/silica film thickness was studied. The results reveal that the LDH concentration has a significant effect on the film thickness while the hectorite and silica concentration were not important. Films prepared from the different types of negatively charged inorganic particles in the same concentration range (0.25–1.0%) have similar thickness because of the much higher surface charge relative to the LDH lamellae.  相似文献

New types of rocket propellant batches have been formulated with the objective of achieving higher burning rates. The main ingredients are (1) the energetic plasticizers glycidyl azide polymer-α,ω-diazide (GAP)-A (short chain GAP with azide end groups), trimethylolethane trinitrate (TMETN) and 1,2,4-butanetriol trinitrate (BTTN), (2) the energetic substances ammonium perchlorate (AP) and ε-CL20 (ε-HNIW, hexanitrohexazaisowurtzitane, crystallised in ε-phase). The binder is GAP (glycidyl azide polymer, diol component) cured with the polyisocyanate Desmodur™ N100. From the point of view of stability and ageing, the interesting fact is that the formulations contain none of the typical stabilisers for the nitric acid ester components TMETN and BTTN, although their contents range up to 21 mass%. One reason for doing so is to increase the content of the high energy ingredients. Seven formulations were examined in more detail. To assess basic stability the autoignition temperature test, Dutch mass loss test and vacuum stability test were used. To investigate ageing, two measurement quantities are applied: heat generation rate (heat flow) as function of time at 70, 80 and 89 °C and mass loss as function of time at the temperatures of 70, 80 and 90 °C. The evaluation of the measurements was done with reaction kinetic models. One batch (#189) containing BTTN shows significantly lower activation energy and pre-exponential factor. From mass loss one gets as activation energy for #189 of 101 kJ mol−1 in comparison to the range of 126-135 kJ mol−1 for the six other batches. But, based on the ageing caused by chemical decomposition reactions, all seven batches showed a good ageing behaviour. A use time period of up to 20 years of use seems realistic.  相似文献

Biodegradable multiblock copolymers were synthesized by a polycondensation of poly(ɛ-caprolactone) (PCL) diols of molecular weight (MW)=3,000 and poly(ethylene glycol)s (PEG) of MW=3,000 with 4,4′-(adipoyldioxy)dicinnamic acid (CAC) dichloride as a chain extender in diphenyl ether at 180 °C for 2 h, and were characterized by GPC, 1H-NMR, FTIR, UV, DSC, and WAXS. These photosensitive copolymers were irradiated by a 400-W high-pressure mercury lamp (λ>280 nm) from 5–60 min to form a network structure. The gel contents increased with irradiation time, and attained ca. 90% after 60 min for all copolymers. The degree of swelling in a distilled water at ambient temperature, and the rate of degradation in a phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.2) at 37 °C increased with increasing PEG components. The shape-memory tests were performed by a cyclic thermomechanical experiments for the photocured CAC/PCL/PEG (75/25) films. The film with a gel content of 57% showed the best shape-memory property with strain fixity rate of 100% and strain recovery rate of 88%.  相似文献

This work investigated the effect of Potassium Permanganate (KMnO4) on graphene oxide (GO) properties, especially on electrical properties. The GO thin films were deposited on a glass substrate using drop casting technique and were analysed by using various type of spectroscopy (e.g. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Ultra- Violet Visible (UV–VIS), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), optical band gap, Raman Spectroscopy). Furthermore, the electrical experiments were carried out by using current–voltage (I-V) characteristic. The GO thin film with 4.5 g of KMnO4 resulted in higher conductivity which is 3.11 × 10?4 S/cm while GO with 2.5 g and 3.5 g of KMnO4 achieve 2.47 × 10?9 S/cm and 1.07 × 10?7 S/cm, respectively. This further affects the morphological (SEM), optical (band gap, UV–Vis, FTIR, and Raman), and crystalline structural (XRD) properties of the GO thin films. The morphological, elemental, optical, and structural data confirmed that the properties of GO is affected by different amount of KMnO4 oxidizing agent, which revealed that GO can potentially be implemented for electrical and electronic devices.  相似文献

The ageing of filled and cross-linked ethylene propylene diene elastomer (EPDM) has been studied under accelerated UV irradiation (λ ≥ 290 nm) at 60 °C, thermal ageing at 100 °C and in nitric acid vapours for different time intervals. Hardness measurements were performed. DSC-thermoporosimetry was used to estimate the mesh size distribution and cross-linking densities for each ageing. The development of functional groups was monitored by ATR spectroscopy. An increase in oxidation with exposure time after the different types of ageing was observed. The thermal stability of EPDM was assessed by TGA and evolved volatile gases were identified using FTIR spectroscopy.  相似文献

It is important to develop high performances biodegradable polymers to eliminate the “white pollution” evoked by petroleum‐based polymer. Thermoplastic starch (TPS) with nano‐ellipse configuration was fabricated to reinforce the performances of poly (butylene adipate co‐terephthalate) (PBAT) biocomposites. Effects of tartaric acid (TA) (0.5% wt) on the structure of TPS and compatibility for PBAT were evaluated by Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), viscosity and rheological measurement, dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and scanning electron microscope (SEM), respectively. They revealed that TA reduced the molecular weight of starch and shear viscosity of TPS were beneficial for TPS dispersing in PBAT matrix with 184‐nm averaged diameter. PBAT/TPS‐TA (70:30 wt%) biocomposite films were blew with different blow‐up ratio. The morphology of films presented that nano‐TPS‐TA wrapped in the PBAT matrix and deformed from ball to capsule feature without agglomeration. Compared with those of PBAT film, the increment in elongation at break of PBAT/TPS‐TA film was 100%. The air permeability and UV‐VIS transmittance of PBAT/TPS‐TA films decreased from 6.92 × 10?9 to 3.72 × 10?9 cm3·cm·cm?2 s?1 Pa?1 and 47.6% to 23.5%, respectively. This study proposed a facile approach to fabricate low‐cost PBAT films with significant improved mechanical, optical, and air barrier properties for commercial application. Mechanism for nanoparticles of TPS‐TA motivated the elevated performances was proposed, synchronously.  相似文献

Young fustic (Cotinus coggygria Scop.; Anacardiaceae) has been used as a dyestuff since antiquity. Phytochemical investigation of the methanol extract of the heartwood has led to the isolation and structure elucidation by nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry (MS) of 3′,4′,6-trihydroxyaurone (sulfuretin) and 3′,4′,7-trihydroxyflavonol (fisetin) as well as 3′,4′,7-trihydroxyflavanol (fustin), 3′,4′,5,7-tetrahydroxyflavonol (quercetin), 3′,4′,5,7-tetrahydroxyflavanol (taxifolin), 4′,7-dihydroxyflavanol, 3′,4′,7-trihydroxyflavanone (butin), 4′,7-dihydroxyflavanone (liquiritigenin), trans-2′,3,4,4′-tetrahydroxychalcone (butein), 4′,5,7-trihydroxyflavanone and trans-2′,4,4′-trihydroxychalcone (isoliquiritigenin). The isolated compounds were used as reference materials for the development of a high-performance liquid chromatography–diode array detector–MS method, which was then applied to analyse (1) fresh silk samples dyed with young fustic, (2) dyed silk subjected to artificially accelerated light ageing and (3) historical silk micro-samples, extracted from ecclesiastical post-Byzantine garments (fifteenth to eighteenth century), which belong to monasteries of Mount Athos. Sulfuretin and fisetin, which are usually used as markers for the identification of the yellow dye and, for the first time, some of the aforementioned flavonoid components of young fustic were identified in the historical extracts. Furthermore, preliminary experiments suggested that although the amounts of the dye components decrease with light ageing, the relative ratio of fisetin and sulfuretin, after a first step of ageing, seems to be almost unaffected by such degradation processes raised by light. The effect of the latter on the morphology of the dyed silk fibres is briefly investigated by scanning electron microscopy.  相似文献

The uranium adsorption on activated carbon from dilute solutions was studied as a function of pH, uranium concentration and ageing time. Optimum conditions for quantitative adsorption of uranium from water solutions were determined: uranium concentration 2.5.10−4 g/l or less; adsorption must be carried out in fresh prepared solutions with ageing time not more than one hour; pH 7.5–8.5; time for achieving the adsorption equilibrium not less than 20 min. The instrumental neutron activation method was used for the uranium analysis.  相似文献
