In the present study, Fe2+ and Ni2+ immobilized on hydroxyapatite‐core‐shell γ‐Fe2O3 (γ‐Fe2O3@HAp‐Fe2+ and γ‐Fe2O3@HAp‐Ni2+) with a high surface area has been synthesized and characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and scanning electron microscope (SEM) techniques. Then, γ‐Fe2O3@HAp‐Fe2+ and γ‐Fe2O3@HAp‐Ni2+ were used as a new and magnetically recoverable nano catalyst for the selective oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides with 33% aqueous H2O2 (0.5 mL) as an oxidant at room temperature in good to excellent yields and short reaction time. Nontoxicity of reagent, mild reaction condition, inexpensive and high catalytic activity, simple experimental procedure, short period of conversion and excellent yields, and ease of recovery from the reaction mixture using an external magnet are the advantages of the present method.  相似文献

In this study, Ag, Ni2+, and Fe2+ immobilized on hydroxyapatite‐core‐shell γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles (γ‐Fe2O3@HAp‐Ag, γ‐Fe2O3@HAp‐Ni2+, and γ‐Fe2O3@HAp‐Fe2+) as a new and reusable Lewis acid magnetic nanocatalyst was successfully synthesized and reported for an atom economic, extremely facile, and environmentally benign procedure for the synthesis of highly functionalized tetrahydropyridines derivatives 4a‐t is described by one‐pot five‐component reaction of 2 equiv of aldehydes 1 , 2 equiv of amines 2 , and 1 equiv of methyl acetoacetate 3 in EtOH at room temperature in good to high yields and short reaction time. The presented methodology offers several advantages such as easy work‐up procedure, reusability of the magnetic nanocatalyst, operational simplicity, green synthesis avoiding toxic reagents and solvent, mild reaction conditions, and no tedious column chromatographic separation.  相似文献

A simple, efficient and eco‐friendly procedure has been developed using Cu(II) immobilized on guanidinated epibromohydrin‐functionalized γ‐Fe2O3@TiO2 (γ‐Fe2O3@TiO2‐EG‐Cu(II)) for the synthesis of 2,4,5‐trisubstituted and 1,2,4,5‐tetrasubstituted imidazoles, via the condensation reactions of various aldehydes with benzil and ammonium acetate or ammonium acetate and amines, under solvent‐free conditions. High‐resolution transmission electron microscopy analysis of this catalyst clearly affirmed the formation of a γ‐Fe2O3 core and a TiO2 shell, with mean sizes of about 10–20 and 5–10 nm, respectively. These data were in very good agreement with X‐ray crystallographic measurements (13 and 7 nm). Moreover, magnetization measurements revealed that both γ‐Fe2O3@TiO2 and γ‐Fe2O3@TiO2‐EG‐Cu(II) had superparamagnetic behaviour with saturation magnetization of 23.79 and 22.12 emu g?1, respectively. γ‐Fe2O3@TiO2‐EG‐Cu(II) was found to be a green and highly efficient nanocatalyst, which could be easily handled, recovered and reused several times without significant loss of its activity. The scope of the presented methodology is quite broad; a variety of aldehydes as well as amines have been shown to be viable substrates. A mechanism for the cyclocondensation reaction has also been proposed.  相似文献

α‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles are uniformly coated on the surface of α‐MoO3 nanorods through a two‐step hydrothermal synthesis method. As the anode of a lithium‐ion battery, α‐Fe2O3@α‐MoO3 core–shell nanorods exhibit extremely high lithium‐storage performance. At a rate of 0.1 C (10 h per half cycle), the reversible capacity of α‐Fe2O3@α‐MoO3 core–shell nanorods is 1481 mA h g?1 and a value of 1281 mA h g?1 is retained after 50 cycles, which is much higher than that retained by bare α‐MoO3 and α‐Fe2O3 and higher than traditional theoretical results. Such a good performance can be attributed to the synergistic effect between α‐Fe2O3 and α‐MoO3, the small size effect, one‐dimensional nanostructures, short paths for lithium diffusion, and interface spaces. Our results reveal that core–shell nanocomposites have potential applications as high‐performance lithium‐ion batteries.  相似文献

In general, the conductivity of polypyrrole (PPy) is reduced by addition of magnetic nanoparticles as the additives owing to insulating effect of magnetic nanoparticles. In this article, novel electromagnetic functionalized PPy composite nanostructures were prepared by a template‐free method associated with γ‐Fe2O3 nano‐needles as the hard templates in the presence of p‐toluene‐sulfonic acid (p‐TSA) and FeCl3·6H2O as the dopant and oxidant, respectively. It was found that the molar ratio of γ‐Fe2O3 to pyrrole monomer represented by [γ‐Fe2O3]/[Py] ratio strongly affected the morphology and the conductivity of the γ‐Fe2O3/PPy composite nanostructures. A growth mechanism for the composite nanostructures was proposed based on the variance of the morphology with the [γ‐Fe2O3]/[Py] ratio. Compared with previously reported γ‐Fe2O3/PPy composites, the as‐prepared novel composite nanostructures showed much higher conductivity (up to ~50 times higher). Moreover, the synthesized γ‐Fe2O3/PPy composite nanostructures displayed ferromagnetic behavior with a high coercive force. Explanations for these interesting observations were made in terms of the magnetic interaction between ferromagnetic γ‐Fe2O3 nano‐needles and spin‐polaron of PPy nanotubes. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Maghemite (γ‐Fe2O3) colloid has been synthesized by coprecipitation of ferrous and ferric salts in alkaline medium and oxidation. The obtained nanoparticles were complexed with a phosphate macromonomer—penta(propylene glycol) methacrylate phosphate (PPGMAP). Complexes with the weight ratio PPGMAP/γ‐Fe2O3 0.01–10 were investigated using a range of characterization methods. The amount of PPGMAP attached to the particles was about 22 wt %. The size and size distribution of the γ‐Fe2O3 core particles in the dry state was measured by TEM. To complete the TEM images, the hydrodynamic size of the nanoparticles including polymer shell and the maghemite core was determined by DLS measurements in toluene. Magnetic poly(glycidyl methacrylate) (PGMA) nanospheres were obtained by Kraton G 1650‐stabilized and 2,2′‐azobisisobutyronitrile‐initiated polymerization of glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) in toluene or toluene/cyclohexane mixture in the presence of PPGMAP‐coated γ‐Fe2O3 colloid. The effect of Kraton G 1650 concentration on the morphology, PGMA nanosphere size and polydispersity was investigated. The particles were characterized also by both thermogravimetric analysis and magnetic measurements. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 47: 4982–4994, 2009  相似文献

Nanospheres of Ag‐coated Fe3O4 were successfully synthesized and characterized. Photocatalytic properties of Fe3O4@Ag composites have been investigated using steady‐state studies and laser pulse excitations. Accumulation of the electrons in the Ag shell was detected from the shift in the surface plasmon band from 430 to 405 nm, which was discharged when an electron acceptor such as O2, Thionine (TH) or C60 was introduced into the system. Charge equilibration with redox couple such as C60●–/C60 indicated the ability of these core–shell structures to carry out photocatalytic reduction reactions. As well, outer Ag layer could boost charge separation in magnetic core through dual effects of Schottky junction and localized surface plasmonic resonance (LSPR)‐powered band gap breaking effect under sunlight irradiation; resulted in higher photocatalytic degradation of diphenylamine (DPA). The maximum photocatalytic degradation rate was achieved at optimum amount of Ag‐NP loading to products. Adsorption studies confirmed that degradation of DPA dominantly occurred in solution. Moderately renewability of the nanocatalysts under sunlight was due to oxidation and dissolution of the outer Ag layer.  相似文献

Hierarchical Fe3O4@poly(4‐vinylpyridine‐co‐divinylbenzene)@Au (Fe3O4@P(4‐VP–DVB)@Au) nanostructures were fabricated successfully by means of a facile two‐step synthesis process. In this study, well‐defined core–shell Fe3O4@P(4‐VP–DVB) microspheres were first prepared with a simple polymerization method, in which 4‐VP was easily polymerized on the surface of Fe3O4 nanoparticles by means of strong hydrogen‐bond interactions between ? COOH groups on poly(acrylic acid)‐modified Fe3O4 nanoparticles and a 4‐VP monomer. HAuCl4 was adsorbed on the chains of a P(4‐VP) shell and then reduced to Au nanoparticles by NaBH4, which were embedded into the P(4‐VP) shell of the composite microspheres to finally form the Fe3O4@P(4‐VP–DVB)@Au nanostructures. The obtained Fe3O4@P(4‐VP–DVB)@Au catalysts with different Au loadings were applied in the reduction of 4‐nitrophenol (4‐NP) and exhibited excellent catalytic activity (up to 3025 h?1 of turnover frequency), facile magnetic separation (up to 31.9 emu g?1 of specific saturation magnetization), and good durability (over 98 % of conversion of 4‐NP after ten runs of recyclable catalysis and almost negligible leaching of Au).  相似文献

A facile, template‐free, and environmentally friendly hydrothermal strategy was explored for the controllable synthesis of α‐Fe2O3 nanostructures in HEPES solution (HEPES=2‐[4‐(2‐hydroxyethyl)‐1‐piperazinyl]ethanesulfonic acid). The effects of experimental parameters including HEPES/FeCl3 molar ratio, pH value, reaction temperature, and reaction time on the formation of α‐Fe2O3 nanostructures have been investigated systematically. Based on the observations of the products, the function of HEPES in the reaction is discussed. The different α‐Fe2O3 nanostructures possess different optical, magnetic properties, and photocatalytic activities, depending on the shape and size of the sample. In addition, a novel and facile approach was developed for the synthesis of Au/α‐Fe2O3 and Ag/α‐Fe2O3 nanocomposites in HEPES buffer solution; this verified the dual function of HEPES both as reductant and stabilizer. This work provides a new strategy for the controllable synthesis of transition metal oxide nanostructures and metal‐supported nanocomposites, and gives a strong evidence of the relationship between the property and morphology/size of nanomaterials.  相似文献

We present a novel strategy for the scalable fabrication of γ‐Fe2O3@3DPCF, a three‐dimensional porous carbon framework (PCF) anchored ultra‐uniform and ultra‐stable γ‐Fe2O3 nanocatalyst. The γ‐Fe2O3@3DPCF nanocomposites were facilely prepared with the following route: condensation of iron(III) acetylacetonate with acetylacetonate at room temperature to form the polymer precursor (PPr), which was carbonized subsequently at 800 °C. The homogeneous aldol condensation offered an ultra‐uniform distribution of iron, so that the γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles (NPs) were uniformly distributed in the 3D carbon architecture with the average size of approximate 20 nm. The Fe2O3 NPs were capped with carbon, so that the iron oxide maintained its γ‐phase instead of the more stable α‐phase. The nanocomposite was an excellent catalyst for the reduction of nitroarene; it gave >99 % conversion and 100 % selectivity for the reduction of nitroarenes to the corresponding anilines at 100 °C. The fabrication of the γ‐Fe2O3@3DPCF nanocatalyst represents a green and scalable method for the synthesis of novel carbon‐based metal oxide nanostructures.  相似文献

Three‐dimensional (3D) flowerlike hierarchical Fe3O4@Bi2O3 core–shell architectures were synthesized by a simple and direct solvothermal route without any linker shell. The results indicated that the size of the 3D flowerlike hierarchical microspheres was about 420 nm and the shell was composed of several nanosheets with a thickness of 4–10 nm and a width of 100–140 nm. The saturation magnetization of the superparamagnetic composite microspheres was about 41 emu g?1 at room temperature. Moreover, the Fe3O4@Bi2O3 composite microspheres showed much higher (7–10 times) photocatalytic activity than commercial Bi2O3 particles under visible‐light irradiation. The possible formation mechanism was proposed for Ostwald ripening and the self‐assembled process. This novel composite material may have potential applications in water treatment, degradation of dye pollutants, and environmental cleaning, for example.  相似文献

Well‐dispersed ammonium aluminum carbonate hydroxide (NH4‐Dw) and γ‐AlOOH nanostructures with controlled morphologies have been synthesized by employing an ionic‐liquid‐assisted hydrothermal process. The basic strategies that were used in this work were: 1) A controllable phase transition from NH4‐Dw to γ‐AlOOH could be realized by increasing the reaction temperature and 2) the morphological evolution of NH4‐Dw and γ‐AlOOH nanostructures could be influenced by the concentration of the ionic liquid. Based on these experimental results, the main objective of this work was to clarify the effect models of the ionic liquids on the synthesis of NH4‐Dw and γ‐AlOOH nanostructures, which could be divided into cationic‐ or anionic‐dominant effect models, as determined by the different surface structures of the targets. Specifically, under the cationic‐dominant regime, the ionic liquids mainly showed dispersion effects for the NH4‐Dw nanostructures, whereas the anionic‐dominant model could induce the self‐assembly of the γ‐AlOOH particles to form hierarchical structures. Under the guidance of the proposed models, the effect of the ionic liquids would be optimized by an appropriate choice of cations or anions, as well as by considering the different effect models with the substrate surface. We expect that such effect models between ionic liquids and the target products will be helpful for understanding and designing rational ionic liquids that contain specific functional groups, thus open up new opportunities for the synthesis of inorganic nanomaterials with new morphologies and improved properties. In addition, these as‐prepared NH4‐Dw and γ‐AlOOH nanostructures were converted into porous γ‐Al2O3 nanostructures by thermal decomposition, whilst preserving the same morphology. By using HRTEM and nitrogen‐adsorption analysis, the obtained γ‐Al2O3 samples were found to have excellent porous properties and, hence, may have applications in catalysis and adsorption.  相似文献

We present the first results of electron magnetic resonance (EMR) and Mössbauer spectroscopy studies of γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles (NPs) incorporated into liquid‐crystalline, second‐generation dendrimers. The mean size of NPs formed in the dendrimers was around 2.5 nm. A temperature‐driven transition from superparamagnetic to ferrimagnetic resonance was observed for the sample. Low‐temperature blocking of the NP magnetic moments has been clearly evidenced in the integrated EMR line intensity and the blocking temperature was about 60 K. The physical parameters of magnetic NPs (magnetic moment, effective magnetic anisotropy) have been determined from analyses of the EMR data. The effective magnetic anisotropy constant is enhanced relative to bulk γ‐Fe2O3 and this enhanced value is associated with the influence of the surface and shape effects. The angular dependence of the EMR signal position for the field‐freezing sample from liquid‐crystalline phase showed that NPs possessed uniaxial anisotropy, in contrast to bulk γ‐Fe2O3. Mössbauer spectroscopy determined that fabricated NPs consisted of an α‐Fe core and a γ‐Fe2O3 shell.  相似文献

Mesoporous nanoparticles composed of γ‐Al2O3 cores and α‐Fe2O3 shells were synthesized in aqueous medium. The surface charge of γ‐Al2O3 helps to form the core–shell nanocrystals. The core–shell structure and formation mechanism have been investigated by wide‐angle XRD, energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, and elemental mapping by ultrahigh‐resolution (UHR) TEM and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The N2 adsorption–desorption isotherm of this core–shell materials, which is of type IV, is characteristic of a mesoporous material having a BET surface area of 385 m2 g?1 and an average pore size of about 3.2 nm. The SEM images revealed that the mesoporosity in this core–shell material is due to self‐aggregation of tiny spherical nanocrystals with sizes of about 15–20 nm. Diffuse‐reflectance UV/Vis spectra, elemental mapping by UHRTEM, and wide‐angle XRD patterns indicate that the materials are composed of aluminum oxide cores and iron oxide shells. These Al2O3@Fe2O3 core–shell nanoparticles act as a heterogeneous Fenton nanocatalyst in the presence of hydrogen peroxide, and show high catalytic efficiency for the one‐pot conversion of cyclohexanone to adipic acid in water. The heterogeneous nature of the catalyst was confirmed by a hot filtration test and analysis of the reaction mixture by atomic absorption spectroscopy. The kinetics of the reaction was monitored by gas chromatography and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The new core–shell catalyst remained in a separate solid phase, which could easily be removed from the reaction mixture by simple filtration and the catalyst reused efficiently.  相似文献

Graphene is a 2D sp2‐hybridized carbon sheet and an ideal material for the adsorption‐based separation of organic pollutants. However, such potential applications of graphene are largely limited, owing to their poor solubility and extensive aggregation properties through graphene? graphene interactions. Herein, we report the synthesis of graphene‐based composites with γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticle for the high‐performance removal of endocrine‐disrupting compounds (EDC) from water. The γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles partially inhibit these graphene? graphene interactions and offer water dispersibility of the composite without compromising much of the high surface area of graphene. In their dispersed form, the graphene component offers the efficient adsorption of EDC, whilst the magnetic iron‐oxide component offers easier magnetic separation of adsorbed EDC.  相似文献

Carboxylic acid capped γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles were prepared by the standard decomposition of Fe(CO)5 in di‐n‐octyl ether and oleic acid. Two methods were employed to introduce surface functionality to the nanoparticles. First, a thermally stable, tert‐butyldiphenylsilyl‐protected hydroxyl group was incorporated into the carboxylic acid surfactant used during the synthesis. Subsequent deprotection and transformation installed a 2‐bromopropionyl ester group on the particle surface (the functional‐group‐interchange method). The resulting nanoparticles were 4.53 nm in average diameter and were characterized with IR spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), selected area electron diffraction, and elemental analysis. Second, a 2‐bromopropionyl ester group was installed on the particle surface after synthesis via the exchange of the surface oleic acid with a carboxylic acid containing the desired 2‐bromopropionyl ester unit (the ligand‐exchange method). The resulting nanoparticles were 4.30 nm in average diameter and were characterized with IR spectroscopy, TEM, and elemental analysis. Monitoring the percentage of bromine incorporated into the nanoparticle sample versus the ligand‐exchange reaction time indicated that the number of initiator‐containing carboxylic acids that could be exchanged onto the surface was limited, presumably by the steric size of the 2‐bromopropionyl ester group. Styrene was then polymerized directly off γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles, and this yielded hybrid core–shell structures. The measurements of the magnetic properties of the samples demonstrated that the magnetism of the core γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticle did not change during the performance of the chemical transformations. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A facile and efficient strategy for the synthesis of hierarchical yolk–shell microspheres with magnetic Fe3O4 cores and dielectric TiO2 shells has been developed. Various Fe3O4@TiO2 yolk–shell microspheres with different core sizes, interstitial void volumes, and shell thicknesses have been successfully synthesized by controlling the synthetic parameters. Moreover, the microwave absorption properties of these yolk–shell microspheres, such as the complex permittivity and permeability, were investigated. The electromagnetic data demonstrate that the as‐synthesized Fe3O4@TiO2 yolk–shell microspheres exhibit significantly enhanced microwave absorption properties compared with pure Fe3O4 and our previously reported Fe3O4@TiO2 core–shell microspheres, which may result from the unique yolk–shell structure with a large surface area and high porosity, as well as synergistic effects between the functional Fe3O4 cores and TiO2 shells.  相似文献

Perylene diimide‐modified magnetic γ‐Fe2O3/CeO2 nanoparticles (γ‐Fe2O3/CeO2‐PDI) were prepared and exhibited excellent peroxidase‐like activity. The samples were characterized by HR‐TEM, XRD, Raman, N2 adsorption, magnetic strength and XPS. The obtained γ‐Fe2O3/CeO2‐PDI had size of 10~20 nm with high specific surface area of 77 m2/g, and could be easily separated from the aqueous solution by using a magnet, which are in favor of its practical application. Due to the decoration of PDI, the γ‐Fe2O3/CeO2‐PDI possessed more surface defects (Ce3+) and active oxygen species than that of γ‐Fe2O3/CeO2, resulting in the outstanding catalytic performance. And the composite catalyst also showed highly sensitive and selectivity toward VC with a limit of detection of 0.45 μM. Based on the fluorescent results, a possible hydroxyl radical (?OH) catalytic mechanism was proposed. It is believed that the as‐prepared γ‐Fe2O3/CeO2‐PDI nanoparticles are promising biosensors applied for biomedical and food analysis.  相似文献

Three‐dimensional flower‐like α‐Fe2O3 nanostructures have been successfully synthesized by a simple surfactant‐free environmental friendly solvolthermal process. The as‐prepared products were investigated by X‐ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and field emission scanning electron microscopy. By adjusting the synthetic parameters, the shape of the α‐Fe2O3 nanostructures can be controlled. The three‐dimensional flower‐like α‐Fe2O3 nanostructures were found to be highly active as catalysts for phenol alkylation. The effects of various parameters, such as reaction temperature, reaction time and the amount of catalyst, were studied. The catalyst was stable and could be reused three times in normal atmosphere without suffering appreciable loss in catalytic activity. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Functional polymer‐grafting silica nanoparticles hold great promise in diverse applications such as molecule recognition, drug delivery, and heterogeneous catalysis due to high density and uniform distribution of functional groups and their tunable spatial distance. However, conventional grafting methods from monomers mainly consist of one or more extra surface modification steps and a subsequent surface polymerization step. A monomer protonation‐dependent surface polymerization strategy is proposed to achieve one‐step uniform surface grafting of cross‐linked poly(4‐vinylpyridine) (P4VP) onto core–shell Fe3O4@SiO2 nanostructures. At an approximate pH, partially protonated 4VP sites in aqueous solution can be strongly adsorbed onto deprotonated silanol groups ( Si O) onto Fe3O4@SiO2 nanospheres to ensure prior polymerization of these protonated 4VP sites exclusively onto Fe3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles and subsequent polymerization of other 4VP and divinylbenzene monomers harvested by these protonated 4VP monomers onto Fe3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles, thereby achieving direct grafting of cross‐linked P4VP macromolecules onto Fe3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles.  相似文献
