The effects of the scale dependent vacuum expectation values (VEVs) on the running masses of quarks and leptons in non-SUSY gauge theories have been considered by a number of authors. Here we use RGEs of the VEVs, and the gauge and Yukawa couplings in the MSSM to analytically derive new one loop formulas for the running masses above the SUSY breaking scale. Some of the masses exhibit a substantially different behaviour with respect to their dependence on the gauge and Yukawa couplings when compared with earlier formulas in the MSSM derived ignoring RGEs of VEVs. In particular, the masses of the first two generations are found to be independent of the Yukawa couplings of the third generation in the small mixing limit. New numerical estimates at the two loop level are also presented. Received: 30 July 1999 / Published online: 6 April 2000  相似文献

Through the present paper, the code gamgamZZ is presented, which may be used to calculate all possible observables related to the process γγ→ZZ, in either the standard model, or the minimal supersymmetric standard model with real parameters.  相似文献

We review the neutral Higgs boson (NHB) contributions to rare leptonic and semi-leptonic B decays in 2HDM and MSSM with large tan β. We present relevant Wilson coefficients of NHB induced operators. We discuss branching ratios and other observables in those decays. Finally we present CP violation in rare leptonic B decays.   相似文献

In realistic N = 1 supergravity theories with a gravitino mass of order 1 TeV, the reheat temperature after inflation is bounded to be no greater than 108 GeV. We construct an N = 1 supergravity model with realistic fermion masses and mixings in which D = 5 operators are suppressed by a Peccei-Quinn symmetry. We compute the ensuing proton decay and show that the dominant modes involve strange particles in the final state. Efficient baryogenesis is induced by Higgs decay to massive right-handed neutrinos and we find an upper bound on the proton lifetime if the Higgs are light enough to be reheated.  相似文献

For a long time, the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) with light masses for the supersymmetric states was considered as the most natural extension of the Standard Model of particle physics. Consequently, a valid approximation was to match the MSSM to the precision measurement directly at the electroweak scale. This approach was also utilized by all dedicated spectrum generators for the MSSM. However, the higher the supersymmetric (SUSY) scale is, the bigger the uncertainties which are introduced by this matching. We point out important consequences of a two-scale matching, where the running parameters within the SM are calculated at \(M_Z\) and evaluated up to the SUSY scale, where they are matched to the full model. We show the impact on gauge coupling unification as well as the SUSY mass spectrum. Also the Higgs mass prediction for large supersymmetric masses has been improved by performing the calculation within an effective SM. The approach presented here is now also available in the spectrum generator SPheno. Moreover, also SARAH was extended accordingly and gives the possibility to study these effects now in many different supersymmetric models.  相似文献

In the light of the gathering evidence for neutrino oscillations, coming in particular from the Super-Kamiokande data on atmospheric neutrinos, we re-analyze the unification of gauge and Yukawa couplings within the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM). Guided by a range of different grand-unified models, we stress the relevance of large mixing in the lepton sector for the question of bottom-tau Yukawa coupling unification. We also discuss the dependence of the favoured value of on the characteristics of the high-energy quark and lepton mass matrices. In particular, we find that, in the presence of large lepton mixing, Yukawa unification can be achieved for intermediate values of that were previously disfavoured. The renormalization-group sensitivity to the structures of different mass matrices may enable Yukawa unification to serve as a useful probe of GUT models. We present explicit results for the product of all horizon areas for general rotating multicharge black holes, both in asymptotically flat and asymptotically anti-de Sitter spacetimes in four and higher dimensions. The expressions are universal, and depend only on the quantized charges, quantized angular momenta and the cosmological constant. If the latter is also quantized these universal results may provide a "looking glass" for probing the microscopics of general black holes.  相似文献

We present parametrizations for the proton structure functionF 2 in the next to leading order in perturbative QCD. We consider that the dominant term toF 2(x, Q 2) should grow asx s for smallx values, with the exponentλ S being essentially independent ofQ 2. Comparisons with the most recent H1 and ZEUS data confirm the valueλ S ~0.35 obtained previously from fits to low energy data.  相似文献

Extra spatial dimensions are proposed by recent theories that postulate the scale of gravity to be of the same order as the electroweak scale. A sizeable interaction between gravitons and Standard Model particles is then predicted. Effects of these new interactions in boson and fermion pair production are searched for in the data sample collected at centre-of-mass energies above the Z pole by the L3 detector at LEP. In addition, the direct production of a graviton associated with a Z boson is investigated. No statistically significant hints for the existence of these effects are found and lower limits in excess of 1 TeV are derived on the scale of this new theory of gravity.  相似文献

We present and compare the predictions of various cosmic-ray Monte Carlo models for the energy (dE/dη) and particle (dN/dη) flows in p-p, p-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions at $ \sqrt {s_{NN} } $ \sqrt {s_{NN} } = 14, 8.8, and 5.5 TeV respectively, in the range covered by forward LHC detectors like CASTOR or TOTEM (5.2 < |η|<6.6) and ZDC or LHCf (|η| ≥ 8.1 for neutrals).  相似文献

The kernels of operators associated with special chiral gauge transformations (kinks) in the 2N-dimensional Dirac theory are explicitly determined. The result is used to obtain index formulas for Fredholm operators corresponding to continuous chiral gauge transformations. Moreover, the Fock space quadratic forms corresponding to the kinks are proved to converge to the Dirac field as the kink size goes to zero. It is also shown that forN 1, 2(mod 4) the Majorana field can be reached in a similar fashion.Work supported by the Netherlands Organisation for the Advancement of Research (NWO)  相似文献
