In a class of direct gauge mediation with a perturbatively stable SUSY breaking vacuum, gaugino masses vanish at the leading order of SUSY breaking F-term. We study the allowed parameter space of the gauge mediation models. By imposing a Tevatron bound on the lightest chargino mass \( {m_{\tilde \chi_1^\pm }} \gtrsim 270\;{\text{eV}} \) and a warm dark-matter mass bound on the light gravitino mass m 3/2 ? 16 eV, we find that almost all the parameter space is excluded. Near future experiments may completely exclude, or possibly discover, the scenario.  相似文献

We conducted three torsion-balance experiments to test the gravitational inverse-square law at separations between 9.53 mm and 55 microm, probing distances less than the dark-energy length scale lambda(d)=[4 -root](variant Planck's over 2pic/rho(d) approximately 85 microm. We find with 95% confidence that the inverse-square law holds (|alpha|相似文献

We study how to incorporate CP violation in the Froggatt–Nielsen (FN) mechanism. To this end, we introduce non-renormalizable interactions with a flavor democratic structure to the fermion mass generation sector. It is found that at least two iso-singlet scalar fields with a discrete symmetry imposed are necessary to generate CP violation due to the appearance of the relative phase between their vacuum expectation values. In the simplest model, the ratios of quark masses and the Cabibbo–Kobayashi–Maskawa (CKM) matrix including the CP violating phase are determined by the CKM element |Vus| and the ratio of two vacuum expectation values of FN fields, R=|R|e (a magnitude and a phase). It is demonstrated how the angles φi (i=1,...,3) of the unitarity triangle and the CKM off-diagonal elements |Vub| and |Vcb| are predicted as a function of |Vus|, |R| and α. Although the predicted value of the CP violating phase does not agree with the experimental data within the simplest model, the basic idea of our scenario would be promising if one wants to construct a more realistic model of flavor and CP violation. We have considered two distant mesoscopic superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) rings A and B in the presence of two-mode nonclassical state fields and investigated the correlation of the supercurrents in the two rings using the normalized correlation function $C_{\rm AB}$. We show that when the parameter $\alpha$ is very small for the separable state with the density matrix $\hat {\rho } = (\left| {\alpha , - \alpha } \right\rangle \left\langle {\alpha , - \alpha } \right| + \left| { - \alpha ,\alpha } \right\rangle \left\langle { - \alpha ,\alpha } \right|) / 2$ and entangled coherent state (ECS) $\left| u \right\rangle = N_1 (\left| {\alpha , - \alpha } \right\rangle + \left| { - \alpha ,\alpha } \right\rangle )$ fields, the dynamic behaviours of the normalized correlation function $C_{\rm AB}$ are similar, but it is quite different for the entangled coherent state $\left| {u}' \right\rangle = N_2 (\left| {\alpha , - \alpha } \right\rangle - \left| { - \alpha ,\alpha } \right\rangle )$ field. When the parameter $\alpha $ is very large, the dynamic behaviours of $C_{\rm AB}$ are almost the same for the separable state, entangled coherent state $\left| u \right\rangle $ and $\left| {u}' \right\rangle $ fields. For the two-mode squeezed vacuum state field the maximum of $C_{\rm AB}$ increases monotonically with the squeezing parameter $r$, and as $r \to \infty $, $C_{\rm AB} \to 1$. This means that the supercurrents in the two rings A and B are quantum mechanically correlated perfectly. It is concluded that not all the quantum correlations in the two-mode nonclassical state field can be transferred to the supercurrents; and the transfer depends on the state of the two-mode nonclassical state field prepared.  相似文献

In this paper, we deal with operators of the form
on the space ℝn. It is assumed that the principal part of L is a uniformly strongly elliptic operator and the coefficients c α,β with |α| + |β| < 2m are distributions. We find sufficient conditions on these coefficients (in terms of generalized Sobolev spaces with negative smoothness indices to which these coefficients belong) for the operator in question to be well defined in the sense of quadratic forms. We consider the two-dimensional Ising model with long-range pair interactions of the form \(J_{xy}\sim |x-y|^{-\alpha }\) with \(\alpha >2\), mostly when \(J_{xy} \ge 0\). We show that Dobrushin states (i.e. extremal non-translation-invariant Gibbs states selected by mixed ± boundary conditions) do not exist. We discuss possible extensions of this result in the direction of the Aizenman–Higuchi theorem, or concerning fluctuations of interfaces. We also mention the existence of rigid interfaces in two long-range anisotropic contexts.  相似文献

Supersymmetric models based on the scenario of gauge mediation often suffer from the well-known μ problem. In this paper, we reconsider this problem in low-scale gauge mediation in terms of effective field theory analysis. In this paradigm, all high energy input soft mass can be expressed via loop expansions. If the corrections coming from messenger thresholds are small, as we assume in this letter, then all RG evaluations can be taken as linearly approximation for low-scale supersymmetric breaking. Due to these observations, the parameter space can be systematically classified and studied after constraints coming from electro-weak symmetry breaking are imposed. We find that some old proposals in the literature are reproduced, and two new classes are uncovered. We refer to a microscopic model, where the specific relations among coefficients in one of the new classes are well motivated. Also, we discuss some primary phenomenologies.  相似文献

An exact and finite sum representation of the Hill-Wheeler projection operator is obtained under the provision that the state on which the operator acts can be expanded as $$\left| {\psi _\alpha } \right\rangle = \sum\limits_{J = J_{\min } }^{J_{\max } } {c_J^\alpha \left| {J,\alpha } \right\rangle .} $$ The result provides a definite advantage over numerical integration methods, especially if high spin states are considered.  相似文献

Mixed anomaly and gauge mediation (“gaugomaly” mediation) gives a natural solution to the SUSY flavor problem with a conventional LSP dark matter candidate. We present a minimal version of gaugomaly mediation where the messenger masses arise directly from anomaly mediation, automatically generating a messenger scale of order 50 TeV. We also describe a simple relaxation mechanism that gives rise to realistic μ and terms. B is naturally dominated by the anomaly-mediated contribution from top loops, so the μ- sector only depends on a single new parameter. In the minimal version of this scenario the full SUSY spectrum is determined by two continuous parameters (the anomaly-and gauge-mediated SUSY breaking masses) and one discrete parameter (the number of messengers). We show that these simple models can give realistic spectra with viable dark matter.  相似文献

We give a brief review of SU(2|1) supersymmetric quantum mechanics based on the worldline realizations of the supergroup SU(2|1) in the appropriate N = 4, d = 1 superspaces. The corresponding SU(2|1) models are deformations of standard N = 4, d = 1 models by a mass parameter m.  相似文献

It is shown that, if the pentaquark \(\Theta ^ + = uudd\bar s\) baryon can be represented by the local quark current ηΘ, its decay Θ+nK+(pK0) is forbidden in the limit of chirality conservation. The Θ+ decay width Γ is proportional to \(\alpha _s^2 \left\langle {0\left| {\bar qq} \right|0} \right\rangle ^2\), where \(\left\langle {0\left| {\bar qq} \right|0} \right\rangle ,q = u,d,s\), is quark condensate, and, therefore, is strongly suppressed. The polarization operator of the pentaquark current is calculated using the operator product expansion. The Θ+ mass found by the QCD sum rules method is in reasonable agreement with experiment.  相似文献

We consider B(s)-->mu(+)mu(-) and the muon (g-2)(mu) in various supersymmetry-breaking mediation mechanisms. If the decay B(s)-->mu(+)mu(-) is observed at Tevatron Run II with a branching ratio larger than approximately 2 x 10(-8), the noscale supergravity (including the gaugino mediation), the gauge mediation scenario with a small number of messenger fields and low messenger scale, and a class of anomaly mediation scenarios will be excluded, even if they can accommodate a large muon (g-2)(mu). On the other hand, the minimal supergravity scenario and similar mechanisms derived from string models can accommodate this observation.  相似文献

Inclusive coherent proton dissociation on helium has been measured for a missing mass near the threshold of one-pion production, in the |t| range 0.05–1.6 (GeV/c)2 and at an alpha incident momentum of 7.0 GeV/c. A strong t-slope dependence of the cross section at |t| ? 0.2 (GeV/c)2 is followed at larger |t| by a less structured distribution. Data were analyzed using the Glauber-Margolis formula and by assuming a peripheral elementary diffraction amplitude for the production process.  相似文献

We consider a N-body Schrödinger operator H=H 0+V. The interaction V is given by a sum of pair potentials V jk(y)(=V jk s +V jk l ), y R3. We assume that: V jk s =O(|y|-(1+p)), p>0, as |y| for the short-range part V jk s ; for the long-range part V jk l . Under this assumption, we prove the principle of limiting absorption for H. The obtained result is essentially as good as those obtained in the two-body case. The proof is done by a slight modification of the remarkable commutator method due to Mourre.  相似文献

Through 2D granular Couette flow experiments, we probe failure and deformation of disordered solids under shear. Shear produces a mean azimuthal flow, smooth affine deformations, and irreversible so-called nonaffine particle displacements. We find that these processes are all of comparable magnitude and depend on the local shear rate. We compute the parameter of Falk and Langer characterizing nonaffine motion, Dmin2, and find that it is reasonably well described in terms of collections of single particles making locally nearly isotropic random steps, delta ri. Distributions for single particle nonaffine displacements, delta ri, satisfy P1(delta ri) proportional, variantexp[-|delta ri/Delta r|alpha] (alpha < or approximately 2).  相似文献

We study amplitude-squared squeezing of the Hermitian operator Zθ=Z1 cosθ+Z2 sin θ, in the most general superposition state , of two coherent states and . Here operators Z1,2 are defined by , a is annihilation operator, θ is angle, and complex numbers C1,2 , α, β are arbitrary and only restriction on these is the normalization condition of the state . We define the condition for a state to be amplitude-squared squeezed for the operator Zθ if squeezing parameter , where N=a+a and . We find maximum amplitude-squared squeezing of Zθ in the superposed coherent state with minimum value 0.3268 of the parameter S for an infinite combinations with α- β= 2.16 exp [±i(π/4) + iθ/2], and with arbitrary values of (α+β) and θ. For this minimum value of squeezing parameter S, the expectation value of photon number can vary from the minimum value 1.0481 to infinity. Variations of the parameter S with different variables at maximum amplitude-squared squeezing are also discussed.  相似文献

In this paper we study the ground state energy of a classical gas. Our interest centers mainly on Coulomb systems. We obtain some new lower bounds for the energy of a Coulomb gas. As a corollary of our results we can show that a fermionic system with relativistic kinetic energy and Coulomb interaction is stable. More precisely, letH N (α) be theN particle Hamiltonian $$H_N (\alpha ) = \alpha \sum\limits_{i = 1}^N {( - \Delta _i )^{1/2} + } \sum\limits_{i< j} {\left| {x_i - x_j } \right|^{ - 1} } - \sum\limits_{i,j} {\left| {x_i - R_j } \right|^{ - 1} } + \sum\limits_{i< j} {\left| {R_i - R_j } \right|^{ - 1} } $$ where Δ i is the Laplacian in the variablex i ∈?3 andR 1, ...,R N are fixed points in ?3. We show that for sufficiently large α, independent ofN, the HamiltonianH N (α) is nonnegative on the space of square integrable functions ψ(x 1, ...,x N ), antisymmetric in the variablesx i , 1≦iN.  相似文献

We propose a scenario for grand unified models based on local supersymmetry. We give arguments that condensates of strongly interacting gauge theories might break local supersymmetry. The gravitino mass induces mass splittings in the low energy theory and allows us to understand a hierarchy of Mp = 1019 GeV to Mw = 102 GeV naturally.  相似文献
