The problem of light scattering from an anisotropic layer with a spherically symmetric distribution of the optical axis is solved exactly. The dependence of the scattering efficiency on the particle size, the anisotropy parameter, and the layer thickness is studied numerically for various anisotropy types. It is shown that the scattering cross section is strongly affected by the type of anisotropy and that the presence of disclinations increases the scattering efficiency. As an additional effect specific to anisotropic scatterers, it is found that, in the case of configurations with broken central symmetry, the scattering amplitudes contain a phase shift that scales logarithmically with the thickness of the anisotropic layer.  相似文献

The thermodynamic properties of anisotropic quasiparticle systems of He II are considered for all degrees of anisotropy. It is shown that the thermodynamic functions of a strongly anisotropic phonon-roton system are mainly determined by rotons at all temperatures. Analytical expressions for the roton thermodynamic functions are obtained for all degrees of anisotropy. The maximum anisotropy is limited by the criterion for thermodynamic stability, which is here derived for the whole temperature range.  相似文献

We review and discuss possible causes for the appearance of local anisotropy (principal stresses unequal) in self-gravitating systems and present its main consequences. We consider both Newtonian and general relativistic examples. The results emerging from the stability analysis hint at the potential relevance of local anisotropy in the evolution of self-gravitating objects. In this respect particular attention is devoted to the Jeans instability criterion and to the occurrence of cracking in anisotropic spheres. A selection of solutions to Einstein equations for anisotropic matter is analyzed. The specific consequences derived from local anisotropy in these solutions, are exhibited. The differences between two different definitions of energy, within a slowly evolving distribution of anisotropic fluid, are discussed in detail. The conspicuous role played by the Weyl and shear tensors and their relationship with anisotropy of the fluid are brought out.  相似文献

In the present study, the anisotropic resistivity of the monolayer graphene has been obtained in semiclassical regime beyond the Dirac point approximation. In particular, detailed investigations were made on the dependence of conductivity on the Fermi energy. At low energies, in the vicinity of the Dirac points, band energy of the monolayer graphene is isotropic at the Fermi level. Meanwhile, at the intermediate Fermi energies anisotropic effects such as trigonal warping is expected to be the origin of the anisotropic resistivity. However, besides the band anisotropy there also exists an other source of anisotropic resistivity which was introduced by scattering matrix. At high energies it was shown that the band anisotropy is less effective than the anisotropy generated by the scattering matrix. It was also shown that there exist two distinct regimes of anisotropic resistivity corresponding the trigonal warping and connected Fermi curve at intermediate and high energies respectively.  相似文献

The contributions of the anisotropic exchange to the firstand second-order uniaxial anisotropy constants have been calculated for hematite at T = 0 K and arbitrary temperatures. The results of the calculations and the most significant mechanisms are taken into account in interpreting the temperature dependence of the anisotropy in rhombohedral antiferromagnetic crystals. The first-order anisotropy constant for hematite is described by the dipole interaction, contributions of the “single-ion” nature, and relatively small contributions of the anisotropic exchange. The second-order constant for hematite includes the “single-ion” contribution and the contribution of the anisotropic exchange. For FeBO3 and MnCO3 crystals, the main contributions to the first-order anisotropy constant come from the dipole and single-ion mechanisms.  相似文献

The kinetic theory is formulated with respect to anholonomic frames of reference on curved spacetimes. By using the concept of nonlinear connection we develop an approach to modelling locally anisotropic kinetic processes and, in corresponding limits, the relativistic nonequilibrium thermodynamics with local anisotropy. This leads to a unified formulation of the kinetic equations on (pseudo) Riemannian spaces and in various higher dimensional models of Kaluza–Klein type and/or generalized Lagrange and Finsler spaces. The transition rate considered for the locally anisotropic transport equations is related to the differential cross section and spacetime parameters of anisotropy. The equations of states for pressure and energy in locally anisotropic thermodynamics are derived. The obtained general expressions for heat conductivity, shear, and volume viscosity coefficients are applied to determine the transport coefficients of cosmic fluids in spacetimes with generic local anisotropy. We emphasize that such local anisotropic structures are induced also in general relativity if we are modelling physical processes with respect to frames with mixed sets of holonomic and anholonomic basis vectors which naturally admits an associated nonlinear connection structure.  相似文献

采用自适应有限元方法求解相场模型,分别对界面能各向异性和界面动力学各向异性条件下自由枝晶生长过程进行了模拟.计算表明两种各向异性均显著影响枝晶的生长,随着各向异性的增大枝晶尖端生长速度增大,尖端半径降低. 两种各向异性对自由枝晶生长有着不同形式的影响,在界面能各向异性条件下,枝晶生长稳定性系数与各向异性系数成幂函数关系;而在动力学各向异性条件下,稳定性系数与各向异性系数成线性关系. 关键词: 界面能各向异性 动力学各向异性 自由枝晶生长 相场模型  相似文献

Scaling laws are stated for anisotropic magnetic systems, where the anisotropy parameters are either scaled or held fixed. Combining the two ways of scaling, the critical behavior of thermodynamic quantities in anisotropic systems is determined. Particular attention is drawn to the temperature range where the anisotropy becomes important, and to the dependence there of the different quantities on the anisotropy parameters. In a transverse magnetic field the phase transition of an anisotropic magnet takes place along aλ-line. Assuming the singular part of the free enthalpy to depend on the distance from theλ-line, anomalous corrections to the transverse susceptibility and magnetization are calculated. For an experimental verification of many of the results, experiments including a variation of the anisotropy parameters or a finite transverse field are necessary.  相似文献

In turbid media, the partial or global orientation of anisotropic particles induces anisotropic light transport. In this study, we discuss the anisotropic incoherent transport of light in media where prolate ellipsoids are oriented in the same direction. In these anisotropic media, incoherent light transport is investigated using Monte Carlo simulations where the influence of particle anisotropy, size and optical properties are explored in a systematic way, from the local scattering event up to the diffusion limit. The database allows inverting the anisotropy of the backscattered image to yield the form factor of the particles. We then illustrate the relevance of such an analysis to assess the deformability of human erythrocytes in blood samples under normal physiological conditions.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to explore the solutions of Bianchi type-III cosmological model in Lyra geometry in the background of anisotropic dark energy. The general form of the anisotropy parameter of the expansion for Bianchi type-III space time is obtained in the presence of a single imperfect fluid with a dynamical anisotropic equation of state parameter and a dynamical energy density in Lyra geometry. A special law is assumed for the anisotropy of the fluid with reduces the anisotropy parameter of the expansion to a simple form $\Delta \propto \frac{1}{H^{2}V^{2}}$ . The exact solutions of the field equations, under the assumption on the anisotropy of the fluid, are obtained for exponential and power law volumetric expansion. The isotropy of the fluid, space and expansion are discussed. It is observed that the universe can approach to isotropy monotonically even in the presence of an anisotropic fluid. The anisotropy of the fluid also isotropizes at later times for accelerating models. The expression for the look-back time, proper distance, luminosity distance and angular diameter distance are also derived.  相似文献

Classical uniaxially anisotropic Heisenberg and XY antiferromagnets in a field along the easy axis on a square lattice are analysed, applying ground state considerations and Monte Carlo techniques. The models are known to display antiferromagnetic and spin-flop phases. In the Heisenberg case, a single-ion anisotropy is added to the XXZ antiferromagnet, enhancing or competing with the uniaxial exchange anisotropy. Its effect on the stability of non-collinear structures of biconical type is studied. In the case of the anisotropic XY antiferromagnet, the transition region between the antiferromagnetic and spin-flop phases is found to be dominated by degenerate bidirectional fluctuations. The phase diagram is observed to resemble closely that of the XXZ antiferromagnet without single-ion anisotropy.  相似文献

Different computational scheme for calculating surface integrals in anisotropic Brillouin zones are compared. An example of the transport distribution function (plasma frequency) of the thermoelectric material Bi(2)Te(3) near the band edges is discussed. The layered structure of the material together with the rhombohedral symmetry causes a strong anisotropy of the transport distribution function for the directions in the basal plane (in-plane) and perpendicular to the basal plane (out-of-plane). It is shown that a thorough reciprocal space integration is necessary to reproduce the in-plane/out-of-plane anisotropy. A quantitative comparison can be made at the band edges, where the transport anisotropy is given in terms of the anisotropic mass tensor.  相似文献

利用定量相场模型研究了强各向异性、表面吸附率以及界面动力学作用条件下六方Ga N螺旋结构的表面形貌与生长机理.通过引入小面相各向异性的相场修正方程,研究了不同各向异性的稳态螺旋形貌,发现各向异性通过改变台阶尖端的曲率作用影响螺旋生长.弱各向异性下稳态螺距及界面动力学特征相对稳定,各向异性较强时尖端的过饱和度随着各向异性的增强而增大,并使得界面平衡态向着有利于螺旋台阶推进的方向移动.研究了表面吸附率对小面相螺旋生长的作用机理,发现吸附率的增加导致了稳态螺旋间距的降低,通过分析螺旋间距随台阶宽度的变化趋势,发现增强的表面吸附和各向异性强度降低了螺旋间距的收敛性,并且具体分析了收敛性误差;通过探讨界面动力学作用条件下螺旋形貌特征以及螺旋间距变化趋势,发现界面动力学系数通过改变稳态螺旋间距与特征指数因子调控螺旋生长的动力学机理,与各向同性相比小面相螺旋生长表现出较低的界面动力学系数依赖性.  相似文献

Correct swap action can be realized via the control of the anisotropic Heisenberg interaction in solid-state quantum systems. The conditions of performing a swap are derived by the dynamics of arbitrary bipartite pure state. It is found that swap errors can be eliminated in the presence of symmetric anisotropy. In realistic quantum computers with unavoidable fluctuations, the gate fidelity of swap action is estimated. The scheme of quantum computation via the anisotropic Heisenberg interaction is implemented in a one-dimensional quantum dots. The slanting and static magnetic field can be used to adjust the anisotropy.  相似文献

In the present work, the electronic and optical properties of anisotropic parabolic quantum disks are studied in the presence of an applied magnetic field. For this goal, we first obtain the electron energy levels of an anisotropic parabolic quantum disk under axial, tilted, and in-plane magnetic fields. According to the results obtained for the energy levels reveal that there is no degeneracy at zero magnetic field due to symmetry breaking. With increasing the anisotropy, the energy level spacing increases. At a constant anisotropy, the energy levels splitting decreases with increasing tilt angle of magnetic field. The total refractive index changes decrease when the tilt angle of magnetic field and the anisotropy increase. Also, the total absorption coefficients increase as the tilt angle of magnetic field and anisotropy increase.  相似文献

We calculate the mobility of the two-dimensional electron gas as realized in (110) AlAs quantum wells at zero temperature. In this structure the mass is strongly anisotropic which gives rise to an anisotropic mobility. By using a theoretical approach developed by Tokura [Phys. Rev. B 58, 7151 (1998)] we numerically calculate the anisotropic mobility. We study impurity scattering in quantum wells having an ellipsoidal Fermi surface. We find that increasing the electron density and/or the well width results in reduction of the anisotropy of the mobility while the anisotropy in the scattering time is increased. A strong dependence of the mobility anisotropy on the impurity position is predicted. Excellent agreement with a recently published experimental result is found under the assumption that impurities are located at the edge of the quantum well.  相似文献

A simple derivation is given of the expression describing the anisotropy decay of luminescence for a solution of molecules that can only undergo rotational diffusion about a single cylindrical axis. The usual derivations of the anisotropy decay for this cylindrical model have simply taken limiting cases of the equations resulting from the general treatment of the anisotropy decay of a completely anisotropic rotator or the rotation of an ellipsoid. The arguments presented here can be understood without the mathematical sophistication required to follow the general derivations for the rotational diffusion of a completely anisotropic rotator or ellipsoids. The underlying physical mechanisms leading to a multiple exponential decay of the fluorescence anisotropy signal from a single axis rotating cylinder are clearly shown by following this derivation. The resulting expression for the anisotropy decay is not new. However, the derivation is easily understood, and this article is meant as an introduction to the more advanced treatments of anisotropy decay by rotational diffusion. After presenting the derivation of the rotating cylinder, the corresponding steps of these general treatments and this simple model are indicated. The model is of special interest for describing the anisotropy decay resulting from rotations of proteins within membranes.  相似文献

The generalized Ornstein-Zernike correlation function appropriate to a uniaxial ferromagnet is applied to study the influence of anisotropic fluctuations on the electrical resistivity in uniaxial ferromagnetic metals near Tc. It is shown that both the anisotropic fluctuations and the Fermi surface anisotropy contribute on the same footing to an anisotropy of the spin-fluctuation resistivity. The results are consistent with those obtained for the isotropic system in the same approximation and may be useful for interpreting recent spin-fluctuation resistivity data obtained experimentally for uniaxial systems.  相似文献

The Raman-Nath, intermediate and Bragg regimes of acousto-optic interaction in an acoustically anisotropic medium are theoretically examined in the paper. The general model of the interaction is extended over the case of an elastically anisotropic medium. Basic results of computer modeling of diffraction processes taking place in crystals are presented in the paper. The interaction of light and ultrasound is investigated in media with arbitrary elastic anisotropy in a wide range of the Klein-Cook and Raman-Nath parameters. The influence of the acoustic anisotropy on the process of light diffraction, especially on the light intensity in diffraction maxima, is also discussed.  相似文献
