We propose a new scheme to study the exact solutions of a class of hyperbolic potential well. We first apply different forms of function transformation and variable substitution to transform the Schrödinger equation into a confluent Heun differential equation and then construct a Wronskian determinant by finding two linearly dependent solutions for the same eigenstate. And then in terms of the energy spectrum equation which is obtained from the Wronskian determinant, we are able to graphically decide the quantum number with respect to each eigenstate and the total number of bound states for a given potential well. Such a procedure allows us to calculate the eigenvalues for different quantum states via Maple and then substitute them into the wave function to obtain the expected analytical eigenfunction expressed by the confluent Heun function. The linearly dependent relation between two eigenfunctions is also studied. 相似文献

We show that the effective Kratzer and Coulomb potentials can be obtained by taking particular limits of a multiparameter exponential potential that was studied recently. Moreover, we demonstrate that the bound state solutions of the exponential potential reduce correctly to their well-known counterparts associated with the Kratzer and Coulomb potentials. As a byproduct, we obtain a new limit relation for the hypergeometric function. 相似文献

In this work we study the quantum system with the symmetric Konwent potential and show how to find its exact solutions. We find that the solutions are given by the confluent Heun function. The eigenvalues have to be calculated numerically because series expansion method does not work due to the variable z ≥ 1. The properties of the wave functions depending on the potential parameter A are illustrated for given potential parameters V_0 and a. The wave functions are shrunk towards the origin with the increasing |A|. In particular, the amplitude of wave function of the second excited state moves towards the origin when the positive parameter A decreases. We notice that the energy levels ε_i increase with the increasing potential parameter |A| ≥ 1, but the variation of the energy levels becomes complicated for |A| ∈(0, 1), which possesses a double well. It is seen that the energy levels ε_i increase with |A| for the parameter interval A ∈(-1, 0), while they decrease with |A| for the parameter interval A ∈(0, 1). 相似文献

New type shift operators for circular well potential in two dimensions are identified. These so-called shift operators connect those quantum systems with the different potentials but with same energy spectrum. It should be noted that these operators depend on both the radial circular and angular variables r and φ. We find that the operators P±=Px±Py play the role of the shift operators. The radial linear momentum , the angular momentum and the Hamiltonian form a complete set of commuting operators with the SO(2) symmetry. 相似文献

In this article a particular solution of Heun equation is derived by making use of the Nikiforov‐Uvarov (NU) method which provides exact solutions for general hypergeometric equation and eigenvalues together with eigenfunctions of the Heun equation for this particular solution are obtained. One to one correspondence (isomorphism) of the aforesaid equation with the radial Schrödinger equation is emphasized and also physical counterparts of the parameters in this equation are put forward by introducing solutions for two different potential functions (Hulthen and Woods‐Saxon potentials).

A new exact quantization rule simplifies the calculation of the energy levels for the exactly solvable quantum system. The stationary probability density of Fokker-Planck models with weak noise is asymptotically of the form exp[–1 /(q)]. If is smooth, it satisfies a Hamilton-Jacobi equation at zero energy and can be interpreted as the action of an associated Hamiltonian system. Under this assumption, has the properties of a Liapounov function, and can be used, e.g., as a thermodynamic potential in nonequilibrium steady states. We consider systems having several attractors and show, by applying Melnikov's method to the associated Hamiltonian, that in general is not differentiable. We analyse the bound states for a Landau-type system for an atom with no permanent electric dipole moment subject to a Coulomb-type potential. By comparing the energy levels for bound states of the system with the Landau quantization for an atom with no permanent electric dipole moment (Furtado et al., 2006), we show that the energy levels of the Landau-type system are modified, where the degeneracy of the energy levels is broken. Another quantum effect investigated is a dependence of the angular frequency of the system on the quantum numbers associated with the radial modes and the angular momentum. As examples, we obtain the angular frequency and the energy levels associated with the ground state and the first excited state of the system. 相似文献
