In this paper, we study the concentration phenomenon of a positive ground state solution of a nonlinear Schrödinger equation on RN. The coefficient of the nonlinearity of the equation changes sign. We prove that the solution has a maximum point at x0Ω+={xRN:Q(x)>0} where the energy attains its minimum.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of finding positive solutions of the equation −Δu+(a+a(x))u=|u|q−2u, where q is subcritical, Ω is either RN or an unbounded domain which is periodic in the first p coordinates and whose complement is contained in a cylinder , a>0, aC(RN,R) is periodic in the first p coordinates, infxRN(a+a(x))>0 and a(x,x)→0 as |x|→∞ uniformly in x. The cases a?0 and a?0 are considered and it is shown that, under appropriate assumptions on a, the problem has one solution in the first case and p+1 solutions in the second case when p?N−2.  相似文献

In [T. Duyckaerts, F. Merle, Dynamic of threshold solutions for energy-critical NLS, preprint, arXiv:0710.5915 [math.AP]], T. Duyckaerts and F. Merle studied the variational structure near the ground state solution W of the energy critical NLS and classified the solutions with the threshold energy E(W) in dimensions d=3,4,5 under the radial assumption. In this paper, we extend the results to all dimensions d?6. The nonlinear Schrödinger equation possesses three distinct six-parameter families of complex-valued quasiperiodic traveling waves, one in the defocusing case and two in the focusing case. All these solutions have the property that their modulus is a periodic function of xct for some cR. In this paper we investigate the stability of the small amplitude traveling waves, both in the defocusing and the focusing case. Our first result shows that these waves are orbitally stable within the class of solutions which have the same period and the same Floquet exponent as the original wave. Next, we consider general bounded perturbations and focus on spectral stability. We show that the small amplitude traveling waves are stable in the defocusing case, but unstable in the focusing case. The instability is of side-band type, and therefore cannot be detected in the periodic set-up used for the analysis of orbital stability.  相似文献

The repeated homogeneous balance is used to construct a new exact traveling wave solution of the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (KP) like equation coupled to a Schrödinger equation, in which the homogeneous balance method is applied to solve the Riccati equation and the reduced nonlinear ordinary differential equation, respectively. Many new exact traveling wave solutions are successfully obtained, which contain rational and periodic-like solutions. This method is straightforward and concise, and it can be applied to other nonlinear evolution equations.  相似文献

In an abstract setting we prove a nonlinear superposition principle for zeros of equivariant vector fields that are asymptotically additive in a well-defined sense. This result is used to obtain multibump solutions for two basic types of periodic stationary Schrödinger equations with superlinear nonlinearity. The nonlinear term may be of convolution type. If the superquadratic term in the energy functional is convex, our results also apply in certain cases if 0 is in a gap of the spectrum of the Schrödinger operator.  相似文献
