The purpose of this paper is to investigate positive steady states of a diffusive predator-prey system with predator cannibalism under homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions. With the help of implicit function theorem and energy integral method, nonexistence of non-constant positive steady states of the system is obtained, whereas coexistence of non-constant positive steady states is derived from topological degree theory. The results indicate that if dispersal rate of the predator or prey is sufficiently large, there is no nonconstant positive steady states. However, under some appropriate hypotheses, if the dispersal rate of the predator is larger than some positive constant, for certain ranges of dispersal rates of the prey, there exists at least one non-constant positive steady state.  相似文献

This paper studies a nonautonomous Lotka-Volterra dispersal systems with infinite time delay which models the diffusion of a single species into n patches by discrete dispersal. Our results show that the system is uniformly persistent under an appropriate condition. The sufficient condition for the global asymptotical stability of the system is also given. By using Mawhin continuation theorem of coincidence degree, we prove that the periodic system has at least one positive periodic solution, further, obtain the uniqueness and globally asymptotical stability for periodic system. By using functional hull theory and directly analyzing the right functional of almost periodic system, we show that the almost periodic system has a unique globally asymptotical stable positive almost periodic solution. We also show that the delays have very important effects on the dynamic behaviors of the system.  相似文献

We prove the non-existence of non-constant positive steady state solutions of two reaction-diffusion predator-prey models with Holling type-II functional response when the interaction between the predator and the prey is strong. A reaction–diffusion system of two bacteria species competing a single limiting nutrient with the consideration of virus infection is derived and analysed. Firstly, the well-posedness of the system, the existence of the trivial and semi-trivial steady states, and some prior estimations of the steady states are given. Secondly, a single species subsystem with virus is studied. The stability of the trivial and semi-trivial steady states and the uniform persistence of the subsystem are obtained. Further, taking the infective ability of virus as a bifurcation parameter, the global structure of the positive steady states and the effect of virus on the positive steady states are established via bifurcation theory and limiting arguments. It shows that the backward bifurcation may occur. Some sufficient conditions for the existence, uniqueness and stability of the positive steady state are also obtained. Finally, some sufficient conditions on the existence of the positive steady states for the full system are derived by using the fixed point index theory. Some results on persistence or extinction for the full system are also obtained.  相似文献

We study the well-posedness of the bidomain model that is commonly used to simulate electrophysiological wave propagation in the heart. We base our analysis on a formulation of the bidomain model as a system of coupled parabolic and elliptic PDEs for two potentials and ODEs representing the ionic activity. We first reformulate the parabolic and elliptic PDEs into a single parabolic PDE by the introduction of a bidomain operator. We properly define and analyze this operator, basically a non-differential and non-local operator. We then present a proof of existence, uniqueness and regularity of a local solution in time through a semigroup approach, but that applies to fairly general ionic models. The bidomain model is next reformulated as a parabolic variational problem, through the introduction of a bidomain bilinear form. A proof of existence and uniqueness of a global solution in time is obtained using a compactness argument, this time for an ionic model reading as a single ODE but including polynomial nonlinearities. Finally, the hypothesis behind the existence of that global solution are verified for three commonly used ionic models, namely the FitzHugh–Nagumo, Aliev–Panfilov and MacCulloch models.  相似文献

The spruce budworm model is one of the interesting single species reaction-diffusion problems describing insect dispersal behavior. In this paper, we investigate a two-dimensional model with linear diffusion dependence and a convective wind. This system has been successfully solved using an operator splitting method for various domains and initial conditions. The numerical results show that populations can grow and diffuse in such a way as to produce steady state outbreak populations or steady state inhomogeneous spatial patterns in which they aggregate with low population densities.  相似文献

Long time dynamics of solutions to a strongly coupled system of parabolic equations modeling the competition in bio-reactors with chemotaxis will be studied. In particular, we show that the dynamical system possesses a global attractor and that it is strongly uniformly persistent if the trivial steady state is unstable. Using a result of Smith and Waltman on perturbation of global attractors, we also show that the positive steady state is unique and globally attracting.  相似文献

The paper is concerned with a diffusive prey–predator model subject to the homogeneous Neumann boundary condition, which models the trophic intersections of three levels. We will prove that under certain assumptions, even though the unique positive constant steady state is globally asymptotically stable for the dynamics with diffusion, the non-constant positive steady state can exist due to the emergence of cross-diffusion. We demonstrate that the cross-diffusion can create stationary pattern. Moreover, we treat the cross-diffusion parameter as a bifurcation parameter and discuss the existence of non-constant positive solutions to the system with cross-diffusion.  相似文献

We consider the non-local Fisher–KPP equation on a bounded domain with Neumann boundary conditions. Thanks to a Lyapunov function, we prove that, under a general hypothesis on the kernel involved in the non-local term, the homogenous steady state 1 is globally asymptotically stable. The paper deals with a model that describes a predator–prey system with a common consuming resource. We use Lyapunov functions to prove the global stability of the kinetic system and the diffusive system. We consider a SIRS (susceptible–infected–removed–susceptible) model influenced by random perturbations. We prove that the solutions are positive for positive initial conditions and are global, that is, there is no finite explosion time. A ratio-dependent predator-prey model with time lag for predator is proposed and analyzed. Mathematical analyses of the model equations with regard to boundedness of solutions, nature of equilibria, permanence, and stability are analyzed. We note that for a ratio-dependent system local asymptotic stability of the positive steady state does not even guarantee the so-called persistence of the system and, therefore, does not imply global asymptotic stability. It is found that an orbitally asymptotically stable periodic orbit exists in that model. Some sufficient conditions which guarantee the global stability of positive equilibrium are given.  相似文献

In this paper, the dynamics of a diffusive predator–prey model with modified Leslie–Gower term and strong Allee effect on prey under homogeneous Neumann boundary condition is considered. Firstly, we obtain the qualitative properties of the system including the existence of the global positive solution and the local and global asymptotical stability of the constant equilibria. In addition, we investigate a priori estimate and the nonexistence of nonconstant positive steady state solutions. We consider a diffusive Lotka–Volterra competition system with stage structure, where the intrinsic growth rates and the carrying capacities of the species are assumed spatially heterogeneous. Here, we also assume each of the competing populations chooses its dispersal strategy as the tendency to have a distribution proportional to a certain positive prescribed function. We give the effects of dispersal strategy, delay, the intrinsic growth rates and the competition parameters on the global dynamics of the delayed reaction diffusion model. Our result shows that competitive exclusion occurs when one of the diffusion strategies is proportional to the carrying capacity, while the other is not; while both populations can coexist if the competition favors the latter species. Finally, we point out that the method is also applied to the global dynamics of other kinds of delayed competition models.  相似文献

We consider a simplified system of a growing colony of cells described as a free boundary problem. The system consists of two hyperbolic equations of first order coupled to an ODE to describe the behavior of the boundary. The system for cell populations includes non-local terms of integral type in the coefficients. By introducing a comparison with solutions of an ODE's system, we show that there exists a unique homogeneous steady state which is globally asymptotically stable for a range of parameters under the assumption of radially symmetric initial data.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a reaction–diffusion model of plankton allelopathy with nonlocal delays. Using an iterative technique, the global stability of the positive steady state and the semi-trivial steady states of the system is investigated under some weaker conditions than those assumed in Tian et al. [C.R. Tian, L. Zhang and Z. Ling, The stability of a diffusion model of plankton allelopathy with atio-temporal delays, Nonlinear Anal. RWA 10 (2009) 2036–2046]. We also show that toxic substances and nonlocal delays are harmless for the stability of the positive steady state. Finally, some examples are presented to verify our main results.  相似文献
