该文研究根据Byrne和Chaplain的思想建立的一个描述抑制物作用下无坏死核肿瘤生长的数学模型, 这个模型是一个非线性反应扩散方程组的自由边界问题. 作者运用反应扩散方程理论中的上下解方法结合自由边界问题的迭代技巧, 研究了解的渐近性态, 在营养物消耗函数f、抑制物消耗函数g和肿瘤细胞繁衍函数S的一些一般条件下,证明当常数c1,c2(肿瘤细胞分裂速率和营养物、抑制物扩散速率的比值)都非常小时,在一定的初边值条件下肿瘤趋于消失,在另外一些初边值条件下肿瘤半径趋于一个常数,进而时变解将趋于一个稳态解.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the large time behavior of the solution to the initial boundary value problem for 2-D viscous conservation laws in the space x ? bt. The global existence and the asymptotic stability of a stationary solution are proved by Kawashima et al. [1]. Here, we investigate the convergence rate of solution toward the boundary layer solution with the non-degenerate case where f′(u+) − b < 0. Based on the estimate in the H2 Sobolev space and via the weighted energy method, we draw the conclusion that the solution converges to the corresponding boundary layer solution with algebraic or exponential rate in time, under the assumption that the initial perturbation decays with algebraic or exponential in the spatial direction.  相似文献

Looking at the nonsymmetric case of a reaction-diffusion model known as the Keller-Segel model, we summarize known facts concerning (global in time) existence and prove new blowup results for solutions of this system of two strongly coupled parabolic partial differential equations. We show in Section 4, Theorem 4, that if the solution blows up under a condition on the initial data, blowup takes place at the boundary of a smooth domain . Using variational techniques we prove in Section 5 the existence of nontrivial stationary solutions in a special case of the system. Received April 2000  相似文献

We study the stationary problem of the drift–diffusion model with a mixed boundary condition. For this problem, the existence of solutions was established in general settings, while the uniqueness was investigated only in some special cases which do not entirely cover situations that semiconductor devices are used in integrated circuits. In this paper, we prove the uniqueness in a physically relevant situation. The key to the proof is to derive two-sided uniform estimates for the densities of the electron and hole. We establish a new technique to show the lower bound. This together with the Moser iteration method leads to the upper bound.  相似文献

Conservative dynamical systems propagate as stationary points of the action functional. Using this representation, it has previously been demonstrated that one may obtain fundamental solutions for two-point boundary value problems for some classes of conservative systems via solution of an associated dynamic program. Further, such a fundamental solution may be represented as a set of solutions of differential Riccati equations (DREs), where the solutions may need to be propagated past escape times. Notions of “static duality” and “stat-quad duality” are developed, where the relationship between the two is loosely analogous to that between convex and semiconvex duality. Static duality is useful for smooth functionals where one may not be guaranteed of convexity or concavity. Some simple properties of this duality are examined, particularly commutativity. Application to stationary action is considered, which leads to propagation of DREs past escape times via propagation of stat-quad dual DREs.  相似文献

A stationary system of Stokes and Navier-Stokes equations describing the flow of a homogeneous incompressible fluid in a bounded domain is considered. The vector of the flow velocity and a finite number of nonlocal conditions are defined at a part of the domain boundary. It is proved that, in the linear case, the problem has at least one stable solution. In the nonlinear case, the local solvability of the problem is proved.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the global behaviour for a viscous, heat-conductive, one-dimensional real gas with a non-autonomous external force and a heat source. Under certain assumptions imposed on the initial data and external force, we obtain the global existence of the weak solution, give the uniform bounds (with respect to time) of the solution and show that it converges to a stationary one as time tends to infinity.  相似文献

Abstract In this paper we consider the large time behavior of solutions to an n-dimensional transmission problem for two Kirchhoff type viscoelastic wave equations, that is, the wave propagation over bodies consisting of two physically different types of materials. One component is a simple elastic part while the other is a viscoelastic component endowed with a long range memory. This paper studies existence of a stationary solution to a tumor growth model proposed by Ward and King in 1997 and 1998, with biologically reasonable modifications. Mathematical formulation of this problem is a two-point free boundary problem of a system of ordinary differential equations, one of which is singular at boundary points. By using the Schauder fixed point theorem we prove existence of a solution for this problem.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the parabolic–hyperbolic system about the growth of a tumor. The model is a coupled system of PDEs with Robin boundary, which involves nutrient density, extracellular matrix and matrix degrading enzyme. By transforming the free boundary into a fixed boundary and using strict mathematical analysis, we can prove the existence and uniqueness of the radially symmetric stationary solution. By the fixed point theorem, we obtain the existence and uniqueness of the radially symmetric solution globally in time.  相似文献

In his seminal paper published in 2002, Passino pointed out how individual and groups of bacteria forage for nutrients and how to model it as a distributed optimization process, which he called the Bacterial Foraging Optimization Algorithm (BFOA). One of the major driving forces of BFOA is the reproduction phenomenon of virtual bacteria each of which models a trial solution of the optimization problem. During reproduction, the least healthier bacteria (with a lower accumulated value of the objective function in one chemotactic lifetime) die and the other healthier bacteria each split into two, which then starts exploring the search place from the same location. This keeps the population size constant in BFOA. The phenomenon has a direct analogy with the selection mechanism of classical evolutionary algorithms. In this letter we provide a simple mathematical analysis of the effect of reproduction on bacterial dynamics. Our analysis reveals that the reproduction event contributes to the quick convergence of the bacterial population near optima.  相似文献

In this paper, we mainly study the nonlinear wave configuration caused by shock wave reflection for the TSD (Transonic Small Disturbance) equation and specify the existence and nonexistence of various nonlinear wave configurations. We give a condition under which the solution of the RR (Regular reflection) for the TSD equation exists. We also prove that there exists no wave configuration of shock wave reflection for the TSD equation which consists of three or four shock waves. In phase space, we prove that the TSD equation has an IR (Irregular reflection) configuration containing a centered simple wave. Furthermore, we also prove the stability of RR configuration and the wave configuration containing a centered simple wave by solving a free boundary value problem of the TSD equation.  相似文献

本文应用边界元法求解钢铁生产中连铸工艺出现的自由边界问题。首先,对较一般的连铸过程的数学模型进行简化并给出相应的边界积分方程,以及叙述了用边界元法求解该问题的步骤。然后,我们给出了一个计算实例,并对该方法的收敛快慢、对初值的敏感性和对区域形状的适应性等问题进行了探讨。最后,针对一种简化的模型,将数值解与解析解进行比较,两者吻合较好。  相似文献

In Resing and Örmeci [16] it is shown that the two-stage tandem queue with coupled processors can be solved using the theory of boundary value problems. In this paper we consider the issues that arise when calculating performance measures like the mean queue length and the fraction of time a station is empty. It is assumed that jobs arrive at the first station according to a Poisson process and require service at both stations before leaving the system. The amount of work that a job requires at each of the stations is an independent, exponentially distributed random variable. When both stations are nonempty, the total service capacity is shared among the stations according to fixed proportions. When one of the stations becomes empty, the total service capacity is given to the nonempty station. We study the two-dimensional Markov process representing the numbers of jobs at the two stations. The problem of finding the generating function of the stationary distribution can be reduced to two different Riemann-Hilbert boundary value problems, where both problems yield a complete analytical solution. We discuss the similarities and differences between the two problems, and relate them to the computational aspects of obtaining performance measures.  相似文献

本文研究一个用于描述抑制物对肿瘤生长直接作用效果的数学模型,该模型是对Byrne和chaplain相应模型的一个改进.我们分别在c_1=c_2=0和c_1>0,c_2>o但很小两种情况下研究了该模型解的存在性和解在t→∞时的渐近状况,证明了未血管化的肿瘤在某些情况下趋于消失,而在另一些情况下趋于一个休眠态,且抑制物总能减小肿瘤的半径.  相似文献

For the structure of a sonic boom produced by a simple aerofoil at a large distance from its source we take a physical model which consists of a leading shock (LS), a trailing shock (TS) and a one-parameter family of nonlinear wavefronts in between the two shocks. Then we develop a mathematical model and show that according to this model the LS is governed by a hyperbolic system of equations in conservation form and the system of equations governing the TS has a pair of complex eigenvalues. Similarly, we show that a nonlinear wavefront originating from a point on the front part of the aerofoil is governed by a hyperbolic system of conservation laws and that originating from a point on the rear part is governed by a system of conservation laws, which is elliptic. Consequently, we expect the geometry of the TS to be kink-free and topologically different from the geometry of the LS. In the last section we point out an evidence of kinks on the LS and kink-free TS from the numerical solution of the Euler’s equations by Inoue, Sakai and Nishida [5].  相似文献
