L-fuzzy Q-convergence structures

In this paper, we construct a topological category of pretopological L-fuzzy Q-convergence spaces, which contains the category of topological L-fuzzy Q-convergence spaces as a bireflective full subcategory. Considering the connections with L-fuzzy topology, it is proved that the category of topological L-fuzzy Q-convergence spaces is isomorphic to the category of topological L-fuzzy quasi-coincident neighborhood spaces, and the latter is isomorphic to the category of L-fuzzy topological spaces. Moreover, we find that our pretopological L-fuzzy Q-convergence spaces can be characterized as a kind of L-fuzzy quasi-coincident neighborhood spaces, which is called strong L-fuzzy quasi-coincident neighborhood space.     

L-topological vector spaces and families of L-fuzzy pseudo-norms

In this paper, the concept of a family of L-fuzzy pseudo-norms on vector spaces is proposed and the characterization of L-vector topologies in terms of a family of L-fuzzy pseudo-norms is presented. As applications of the characterization, the Hausdorff separation property, convergence of molecule nets and boundedness of L-sets in L-topological vector spaces are investigated.     

Entropy function spaces and interpolation

We associate to every function space, and to every entropy function E, a scale of spaces Λp,q(E) similar to the classical Lorentz spaces Lp,q. Necessary and sufficient conditions for they to be normed spaces are proved, their role in real interpolation theory is analyzed, and a number of applications to functional and interpolation properties of several variants of Lorentz spaces and entropy spaces are given.     

On the Reflectivity and Coreflectivity of L-Fuzzifying Topological Spaces in L-Topological Spaces

In this paper it is proved that for all completely distributive lattices L, the category of L-fuzzifying topological spaces can be embedded in the category of L-topological spaces (stratified Chang-Goguen spaces) as a simultaneously bireflective and bicoreflective full subcategory. Coreflective hull of finite strong L-topological spaces

This paper is concerned with the interaction between the logic features of the table of truth values and categorical properties of L-topological spaces and L-co-topological spaces. On one hand, it is shown that for each unital quantale L, the category of Alexandroff strong L-co-topological spaces is the coreflective hull of finite strong L-co-topological spaces. On the other hand, in the case that the quantale L is the unit interval [0,1] equipped with a continuous t-norm, it is shown that the category of Alexandroff strong [0,1]-topological spaces is the coreflective hull of finite strong [0,1]-topological spaces if and only if the continuous t-norm is an ordinal sum of the ?ukasiewicz t-norm whose set of idempotent elements is a well-ordered subset of [0,1] under the usual order.     

On adjunctions between Lim, SL-Top, and SL-Lim

Consider (L,*,1) be a commutative, strictly two-sided quantale with the underlying lattice L being meet-continuous. Two adjunctions, one is between limit spaces and stratified L-limit spaces and the other is between stratified L-limit spaces and stratified L-topological spaces, are established. The first adjunction can be viewed as an extension of Lowen's adjunction between the category of topological spaces and stratified [0,1]-topological spaces. The second is an extension of an adjunction between limit spaces and (stratified) L-topological spaces established in U. Höhle and T. Kubiak (Höhle-Kubiak, Semigroup Forum (2007)).     

Tent spaces associated with semigroups of operators

We study tent spaces on general measure spaces (Ω,μ). We assume that there exists a semigroup of positive operators on Lp(Ω,μ) satisfying a monotone property but do not assume any geometric/metric structure on Ω. The semigroup plays the same role as integrals on cones and cubes in Euclidean spaces. We then study BMO spaces on general measure spaces and get an analogue of Fefferman's H¹-BMO duality theory. We also get a H¹-BMO duality inequality without assuming the monotone property. All the results are proved in a more general setting, namely for noncommutative Lp spaces.     

Necessary and sufficient conditions for the boundedness of rough B-fractional integral operators in the Lorentz spaces

In this paper, the necessary and sufficient conditions are found for the boundedness of the rough B-fractional integral operators from the Lorentz spaces Lp,s,γ to Lq,r,γ, 1<p<q<∞, 1?r?s?∞, and from L1,r,γ to Lq,∞,γ≡WLq,γ, 1<q<∞, 1?r?∞. As a consequence of this, the same results are given for the fractional B-maximal operator and B-Riesz potential.     

Area integral functions for sectorial operators on L spaces

Area integral functions are introduced for sectorial operators on L^p-spaces. We establish the equivalence between the square and area integral functions for sectorial operators on L^p spaces. This follows that the results of Cowling, Doust, McIntosh, Yagi, and Le Merdy on H^infin functional calculus of sectorial operators on L^p-spaces hold true when the square functions are replaced by the area integral functions.     

On L-Tychonoff spaces II

This paper is a sequel to the 1995 paper On L-Tychonoff spaces. The embedding theorem for L-topological spaces is shown to hold true for L an arbitrary complete lattice without imposing any order reversing involution (·)^′ on L. Some results on completely L-regular spaces and on L-Tychonoff spaces, which have previously been known to hold true for (L,^′) a frame, are exhibited as ones holding for (L,^′) a meet-continuous lattice. For such a lattice an insertion theorem for completely L-regular spaces is given. Some weak forms of separating families of maps are discussed. We also clarify the dependence between the sub-T₀ separation axiom of Liu and the L-T₀ separation axiom of Rodabaugh.     

Natural examples of Valdivia compact spaces

We collect examples of Valdivia compact spaces, their continuous images and associated classes of Banach spaces which appear naturally in various branches of mathematics. We focus on topological constructions generating Valdivia compact spaces, linearly ordered compact spaces, compact groups, L¹ spaces, Banach lattices and noncommutative L¹ spaces.     

The inclusion relation between Sobolev and modulation spaces

The inclusion relations between the Lp-Sobolev spaces and the modulation spaces is determined explicitly. As an application, mapping properties of unimodular Fourier multiplier eiα|D| between Lp-Sobolev spaces and modulation spaces are discussed.     

On quantification of weak sequential completeness

We consider several quantities related to weak sequential completeness of a Banach space and prove some of their properties in general and in L-embedded Banach spaces, improving in particular an inequality of G. Godefroy, N. Kalton and D. Li. We show some examples witnessing natural limits of our positive results, in particular, we construct a separable Banach space X with the Schur property that cannot be renormed to have a certain quantitative form of weak sequential completeness, thus providing a partial answer to a question of G. Godefroy.     

A note on the generalized Marcinkiewicz integral operators with rough kernels

In this paper,we study the generalized Marcinkiewicz integral operators MΩ,r on the product space Rn×Rm.Under the condition that Ω is a function in certain block spaces,which is optimal in some senses,the boundedness of such operators from Triebel-Lizorkin spaces to Lp spaces is obtained.     

Some characterizations of the Besov space and the α-Bloch space

In this paper we obtain some characterizations of Besov spaces and α-Bloch spaces on the unit ball of Cn, which extend some results in the settings of the unit disk.     

Orlicz spaces without extreme points

Orlicz function and sequence spaces unit balls of which have no extreme points are completely characterized for both (the Orlicz and the Luxemburg) norms. Their subspaces of order continuous elements, with the norms induced from the whole Orlicz spaces without extreme points in their unit balls are also characterized. The well-known spaces L₁ and c₀ with unit balls without extreme points are covered by our results. Moreover, a new example of a Banach space without extreme points in its unit ball is given (see Example 1). This is the subspace a(L₁+L_∞) of order continuous elements of the space L₁+L_∞ equipped with the norm whenever 0<a<∞ and μ(T)>1/a.     

Some fixed point results on L-embedded Banach spaces

In this paper we prove that w-fixed point property and w^★-fixed point property are equivalent concepts for L-embedded Banach spaces which are duals of M-embedded spaces. Similar results will be obtained with respect to the normal structure. These equivalences will be applied to establish new fixed point results for different examples. We will also prove the existence of fixed points for both nonexpansive and asymptotically regular mappings defined on subsets of L-embedded Banach spaces which are sequentially compact for the abstract measure topology. We will check that our results do not hold in the case of the weak topology.     

Interpolation of positive operators

We study problems of interpolation of positive linear operators in couples of ordered Banach spaces. From this viewpoint, we study couples of noncommutative spaces L ₁, L _∞ associated with weights and traces on von Neumann algebras.     

Some new spaces of double sequences

In this study, we define the double sequence spaces BS, BS(t), CSp, CSbp, CSr and BV, and also examine some properties of those sequence spaces. Furthermore, we show that these sequence spaces are complete paranormed or normed spaces under some certain conditions. We determine the α-duals of the spaces BS, BV, CSbp and the β(?)-duals of the spaces CSbp and CSr of double series. Finally, we give the conditions which characterize the class of four-dimensional matrix mappings defined on the spaces CSbp, CSr and CSp of double series.
