In this paper, we give the definition of the random periodic solutions of random dynamical systems. We prove the existence of such periodic solutions for a C1 perfect cocycle on a cylinder using a random invariant set, the Lyapunov exponents and the pullback of the cocycle.  相似文献

We propose a model of random walks on weighted graphs where the weights are interval valued, and connect it to reversible imprecise Markov chains. While the theory of imprecise Markov chains is now well established, this is a first attempt to model reversible chains. In contrast with the existing theory, the probability models that have to be considered are now non-convex. This presents a difficulty in computational sense, since convexity is critical for the existence of efficient optimization algorithms used in the existing models. The second part of the paper therefore addresses the computational issues of the model. The goal is finding sets of weights which maximize or minimize expectations corresponding to multiple steps transition probabilities. In particular, we present a local optimization algorithm and numerically test its efficiency. We show that its application allows finding close approximations of the globally best solutions in reasonable time.  相似文献

In this paper we study the asymptotic dynamics for stochastic reaction-diffusion equation with multiplicative noise defined on unbounded domains. We investigate the existence of a random attractor for the random dynamical system associated with the equation. The asymptotic compactness of the random dynamical system is established by using uniform a priori estimates for far-field values of solutions and a cut-off technique.  相似文献

We give a simple proof of Tutte’s matrix-tree theorem, a well-known result providing a closed-form expression for the number of rooted spanning trees in a directed graph. Our proof stems from placing a random walk on a directed graph and then applying the Markov chain tree theorem to count trees. The connection between the two theorems is not new, but it appears that only one direction of the formal equivalence between them is readily available in the literature. The proof we now provide establishes the other direction. More generally, our approach is another example showing that random walks can serve as a powerful glue between graph theory and Markov chain theory, allowing formal statements from one side to be carried over to the other.  相似文献

This paper aims to investigate the stochastic model of love and the effects of random noise. We first revisit the deterministic model of love and some basic properties are presented such as: symmetry, dissipation, fixed points (equilibrium), chaotic behaviors and chaotic attractors. Then we construct a stochastic love-triangle model with parametric random excitation due to the complexity and unpredictability of the psychological system, where the randomness is modeled as the standard Gaussian noise. Stochastic dynamics under different three cases of “Romeo’s romantic style”, are examined and two kinds of bifurcations versus the noise intensity parameter are observed by the criteria of changes of top Lyapunov exponent and shape of stationary probability density function (PDF) respectively. The phase portraits and time history are carried out to verify the proposed results, and the good agreement can be found. And also the dual roles of the random noise, namely suppressing and inducing chaos are revealed.  相似文献

A classical, chaotic scatterer consisting of three, equal-sized, equidistant hard discs, also known as the Gaspard–Rice system [Gaspard P, Rice SA. Scattering from a classically chaotic repellor. J Chem Phys 1989;90(4):2225–2241] is studied in the presence of white noise. The fractal dimension of the stable manifold is measured using the uncertainty fraction. The volume of the manifold, and thus of the invariant set, when considered in a possibilistic sense, is found to scale with the magnitude of the noise, thus extending the results of Ott et al. We show that a certain class of Markov chains satisfies the general Foster–Lyapunov condition under nonrestrictive assumptions. In particular, if a chain belongs to this class, the existence of an invariant measure can be established by means of the theorem provided. The problem of estimating the time-dependent statistical characteristics of a random dynamical system is studied under two different settings. In the first, the system dynamics is governed by a differential equation parameterized by a random parameter, while in the second, this is governed by a differential equation with an underlying parameter sequence characterized by a continuous time Markov chain. We propose, for the first time in the literature, stochastic approximation algorithms for estimating various time-dependent process characteristics of the system. In particular, we provide efficient estimators for quantities such as the mean, variance and distribution of the process at any given time as well as the joint distribution and the autocorrelation coefficient at different times.  相似文献

Expressions of the mean and the variance of this Lyapunov exponent at each discrete time index are obtained. In this paper, we establish a result on the existence of random $\mathcal{D}$-pullback attractors for norm-to-weak continuous non-autonomous random dynamical system. Then we give a method to prove the existence of random $\mathcal{D}$-pullback attractors. As an application, we prove that the non-autonomous stochastic reaction diffusion equation possesses a random $\mathcal{D}$-pullback attractor in $H_0^1$ with polynomial growth of the nonlinear term.  相似文献

In this paper we study a single stage, periodic-review inventory problem for a single item with stochastic demand. The inventory manager determines order sizes according to an order-up-to logic and observes a random yield due to quality problems in the production. We distinguish between two different states of the production process combined with different probabilities to produce a defective unit. In order to improve the production process, periodic inspections are conducted and in case of a failure the machine is repaired. Approximations are developed to evaluate the average cost for a given order-up-to level and a given inspection interval and we illustrate the existence of optimal policy parameters. The approximations are tested in a simulation study and reveal an excellent performance as they lead to near optimal policy parameters. Moreover, we decompose the problem and test different methods to compute the policy parameters either sequentially or separately. Our results show that a joint optimization of the inventory and maintenance policy leads to a better system performance and reduced costs.  相似文献

We consider a Markov chain generated by random iterations of a family of mappings indexed by elements of an arbitrary measurable space. Under sufficiently weak assumptions we construct a family of place-dependent probability measures such that considered Markov chain converges to a stationary distribution. We also prove some sufficient condition for asymptotic stability of a family of i.i.d. mappings and we apply obtained result for discrete white noise random dynamical systems showing analogous probabilistic long-time behavior.  相似文献

This paper studies the stability problem for a class of networked control systems (NCSs) with the plant being a Markovian jump system. The random delays from the sensor to the controller and from the controller to the actuator are modeled as two Markov chains. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the stochastic stability are established. The state-feedback controller gain that depends on not only the delay modes but also the system mode is obtained through the iterative linear matrix inequality approach. An illustrative example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

In this work, the feedback control method is proposed to control the behaviour of Liu chaotic dynamical system. The controlled system is stable under some conditions on the parameters of the system determined by Routh-Hurwitz criterion. This paper also presents the adaptive modified function projective synchronization (AMFPS) between two identical Liu chaotic dynamical systems. Based on the Lyapunov stability theorem, adaptive control laws are designed to achieving the AMFPS. Finally, some numerical simulations are obtained to validate the proposed methods.  相似文献

In this paper, a new 3D autonomous Lorenz-type chaotic system is modelled based on the condition that the system may generate chaos whereas it has only stable or non-hyperbolic equilibrium points. This system also includes some well-known Lorenz-like systems as its special cases, such as the diffusionless Lorenz system, the Burke-Shaw system and some other systems found. Although the new chaotic system is similar to other Lorenz-type systems in algebraic structure, they are topologically non-equivalent. This interesting fact motivates one to further investigate its dynamical behaviours, such as the number and the stability of equilibrium points, Hopf bifurcation and its direction, Poincaré maps, Lyapunov exponents and dissipativity, etc. Given numerical simulations not only verify the corresponding theoretically analytical results, but also demonstrate that this system possesses abundant and complex dynamical properties, which need further attention.  相似文献
