The production rate for η′ in ppppη′ at rest is calculated in a covariant one boson exchange model, previously applied to study π0 and η production in NN collisions. The transition amplitudes for the elementary BN → η′N processes with B being the meson exchanged (B = π, σ, η, , ω and a0) are taken to be the sum of s- and u-channels with a nucleon in the intermediate states, and an a0 meson pole in a t-channel. The couplings of the η′ to hadrons are a factor 0.4 weaker than the respective η-hadron couplings, as suggested by a quark model and a singlet-octet mixing angle θ = −23°. The model reproduces near threshold cross sections for the quasielastic processes πpnη(η′) and ppppη(η′) reactions.  相似文献

The Hamiltonian H = 2πp + V(θ) Σ−∞ δ(tn)(0 θ < 2π) is solved exactly, classically and quantally; the so lutions depend strongly on . There is no classical chaos and the phase cylinder p, θ is filled with invariant curves, which are finite loops around the cylinder if is sufficiently irrational and are translates of the infinitely long p axis if is rational. Quantal quasi-energy states correspond exactly to these invariant curves: localized in p and extended in θ if is sufficiently irrational, and extended in p and localized in θ if is rational. For a classical or quantal initial pure-momentum state, the energy at time t = n grows as n2 if is rational (resonance) and remains bounded if is sufficiently irrational (non-resonance). If is very nearly rational (marginal resonance), the energy may grow as nλ where λ is expressed in terms of exponents describing the irrationality of and the continuity class of V(θ). If the value of is uncertain, ensemble-averaging over shows that the energy grows ultimately as n, i.e. diffusively, as though under random impulses.  相似文献

The properties of the charge fluctuation are investigated in the d---p model with the repulsion Upd between holes on the nearest-neighbor Cu and O sites and the infinite on-site repulsion Ud at the Cu site. We calculate the charge susceptibility χc(q, iωn) and the charge correlation function Sc(q) = TΣωn χc(q, iωn). It is found that Sc(q) has a peak at the Γ point and a maximum in a ring around the Γ point. The former is due to Tχc(q, 0). Its intensity is proportional to temperature T and strongly enhanced by Upd. The latter is due to TΣωn ≠ 0 χc(q, iωn) and shows a weak T and Upd dependence. The intensity of the diffuse X-ray scattering on taking the charge fluctuation into account is also calculated. The result is consistent with the experiments in La2−δSrδCuO4.  相似文献

We argue that it is the hopping transport that is responsible for broadening of the σxx peaks. Explicit expressions for the width Δν of a peak as a function of the temperature T, current J and frequency ω are found. It is shown that Δν grows with T as (T/T1)κ, where κ is the inverse localization-length exponent. The current J is shown to act like the effective temperature Teff(J) ∝ J1/2 if . Broadening of the ohmic ac-conductivity peaks with frequency ω is found to be determined by the effective temperature   相似文献

We present predictions for flavour-violating charged-lepton decays induced by the seesaw mechanism implemented within the constrained minimal supersymmetric standard model (CMSSM) with universal input soft supersymmetry breaking terms. We assume that one heavy singlet neutrino almost decouples from the seesaw mechanism, as suggested by the pattern of light neutrino masses and mixing angles. This is suggested independently by sneutrino inflation with a low reheating temperature, TRH107 GeV, so as to avoid overproducing gravitinos. This requirement further fixes the mass of the weakly-coupled sneutrino, whose decays may lead to leptogenesis. We find that BR(μ→eγ)10−13 but BR(τ→μγ)10−9 in the bulk of the acceptable parameter space, apart from a few isolated points. The ratio BR(μ→eγ)/BR(τ→eγ) depends on only one complex parameter, and is particularly interesting to compare with experiment.  相似文献

We trace the origin of θ-terms in nonlinear σ-models as a nonperturbative anomaly of current algebras. The nonlinear σ-models emerge as a low energy limit of fermionic σ-models. The latter describe Dirac fermions coupled to chiral bosonic fields. We discuss the geometric phases in three hierarchies of fermionic σ-models in space-time dimension (d+1) with chiral bosonic fields taking values on d-, d+1-, and d+2-dimensional spheres. The geometric phases in the first two hierarchies are θ-terms. We emphasize a relation between θ-terms and quantum numbers of solitons.  相似文献

Helicon waves are found useful for studying Landau damping in degenerate plasmas. The damping is analyzed as the phase velocity of the wave is increased from ω/q vF to ω/q vF. There is no first-orderlike transition at ω/q = VF. In the collisionless limit, the damping tends to zero as ω/qvF. For finite collision times τ it does not vanish for ω/q > vF. Nonlocal corrections to the wavelength exhibit a peak at ω/q = VF, which degenerates into a shoulder for ωτ 100.  相似文献

We report on a systematic mutual induction measurement of the complex AC penetration depth λ of a sputtered high-quality GdBa2Cu3O7−δ film in the mixed state by a very small coil system arranged near the sample surface. The complex penetration depth λ(B, T, ω) for DC inductions B 0.65 T (perpendicular to the film), for temperatures 36 K T 81 K, and for frequencies 1 kHz ω/2π 500 kHz was determined from the measured signal by a novel inversion scheme. The results are consistent with theoretical predictions based upon single vortex pinning. The Labusch parameter , the flux creep relaxation time τ, as well as the effective activation energy U are simulateneously determined.  相似文献

It was pointed out earlier, that double-diffractive J/ψ production may serve as an important instrument to probe the odderon. However, double-diffractive production of χ′s due to pomeron-pomeron fusion, subsequently decaying into J/ψ + γ is a possibly troublesome background. Therefore, we calculate the corresponding differential cross sections for χ production and compare the obtained J/ψ yield to the rate of J/ψ directly produced by pomeron-pomeron fusion. We show that χ production is strongly suppressed. Hence, we conclude that double-diffractive exclusive J/ψ production could be the ideal process to search for the odderon.  相似文献

The low-temperature (5 K < T < 300 K) magnetic properties of a set of nine isostructural fcc Fe-Cr-Ni (Fe ≈ 68 at %, Cr ≈ 20 at%, Ni ≈ 9 at%) alloys were studied by SQUID magnetometry, neutron diffraction and ultrasonic techniques. Type-1 antiferromagnetic (AF) ordering was observed below the Néel temperature, TN. The dc susceptibility, χ(T), did not exhibit a simple Curie-Weiss dependence. Above TN, atemperature independent component χ0 was observed, i.e., χ(T) = χ0 + C / (itT + θ. TN was systematically influenced by the lattice parameter, a, decreasing from (47.9 ± 0.5) K to (35.0 ± 0.5) K as a increased by only 0.25%. The average magnetic moment of ≈ 0.6μB obtained from neutron scattering was lower than the ≈ 1 μB obtained from the SQUID data. Mean field estimates of antiferromagnetic nearest-neighbors exchange interaction (J1) and ferromagnetic second-nearest-neighbors interaction (J2) indicate that |J2/J1|≈ 1.5. We believe that this is evidence of the RKKY interaction, and self-consistently argue that only the external d electrons are responsible for the localized average moment. This may mean that s-d hybridization of the external electrons is weak in these alloys.  相似文献

The electronic and magnetic phase transitions of Pr0.5−xLaxSr0.5MnO3 with x=0.10 and 0.15 were investigated. The M(T) and ρ(T) curves for these samples clearly show transitions from antiferromagnetic insulator to ferromagnetic semiconductor, ferromagnetic metal and finally to paramagnetic semiconductor as the temperature is increased from 5 to 300 K. Especially, two obvious protrudent peaks in the magnetoresistance curves MR(T) for these samples were clearly observed in the relative low magnetic field, 1 T. One peak appears at around the antiferromagnet-ferromagnet transition temperature TN (150 K) with MR≈−23%, another occurs at around the ferromagnet-paramagnet transition temperature TC(275 K ) with MR≈−8.2%. In addition, when the magnetic field was increased, the temperature corresponding to the MR peak at TN shifts to lower temperature while the temperature corresponding to the MR peak at TC is fixed.  相似文献

V1−xCrxSe(0.05x0.83) shows a temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility χ which is similar to that of CrSe. At small x, the magnetic transition temperature Tt(x) and the Weiss constant θp(x) decrease with decreasing x, while the effective number of Bohr magnetons per Cr (Peff) significantly increases.  相似文献

Isothermal low-field AC susceptibility measurements have been used to analyze the intergranular critical current density Jc(T) on sintered, non-oriented YBa2Cu3O7−δ and Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ ceramic samples at zero field. Below the critical temperature, potential variations, Jc(T) ≈ (1−tj)m with tj = T/Tj, have been found, Tj being the onset of grain's coherence, but with different exponents, supporting that different mechanisms limit the intergranular Jc values. Moreover, the effect of texture has been also considered on Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ ceramics grown by the laser floating zone method, which have stronger intergranular junctions. Their high-temperature behaviour is limited by intrinsic effects, while at low temperatures the quality of the junctions is the limiting factor. The temperature dependence of the χ′(h0) extrapolation at zero filed has also been correlated with the evolution of the intergranular penetration depth, λJ(T).  相似文献

The ppppη and npnpη reactions at energies near the η production threshold are studied in a non-relativistic one boson exchange model, where the N* (1535 MeV) S11 resonance is excited through the exchange of π, η, and ω mesons and subsequently decays into an ηN pair. Energy integrated cross sections and energy spectra of the out going η's are reported. Providing NN and ηN final state interactions are taken into account coherently, the model reproduces both the scale and energy dependence of the cross section for the ppppη reactions up to 100 MeV. Final state interaction corrections due to the nucleon-nucleon and meson-nucleon forces influence strongly the scale and shape of the cross sections. The shape of the energy spectra of the outgoing η's provides a clear signature of the ηN force.  相似文献

The magnetic anisotropy of a single crystal of TbAl2 has been measured by torque magnetometry from below the Curie point up to 170 K, well into the paramagnetic phase. Within a (110) plane the torque can be described by the expression L(θ) = {P sin 2θ} H2 + {Q sin 2θ + S sin 4θ} H4 + {T sin 4θ} H6, where θ is the an gle formed by the magnetization vector with a [001] axis. The first term (in H2) is interpreted as produced by arrays of defects with axial symmetry. The second (in H4) and third (in H6) terms arise from anisotropic fourth and sixth rank tensor paramagnetic susceptibilities. On the other hand if the anisotropy is described in terms of effective conventional anisotropy constants K1 and K2 within the temperature range 90–170 K it is found that both constants change continuously across the Curie temperature and furthermore the [111] direction remains the easy direction in the paramagnetic range. Anisotropy measurements reveal themselves as a sensitive indicator of the level of macroscopic defects in magnetic crystals.  相似文献

We present a nonrelativistic transition potential for the weak strangeness-changing reaction ΛNNN. The potential is based on a one meson exchange model (OME), where, in addition to the long-ranged pion, the exchange of the pseudoscalar K, η, as well as the vector ,ω, K* mesons is considered. The kinetics of H2 desorption from H/W(110) and H/Fe1/W(110) were studied by measuring work function changes Δø vs time at a number of temperatures. Combination with previously determined Δø vs coverage data and differentiation at various fixed coverages gave rate vs T data from which activation energies of desorption could be obtained. E vs coverage results agree well with previously determine ΔHdes results. In the case of H/Fe1/W(110) this includes a rise from 20 to 30 kcal mol−1 of H2 at H/Fe = H/W > 0.3. Plots of rate −dθ/dt vs θ (θ being coverage in units of H/W) vary much more steeply than θ2 at most coverages for both systems. The θ dependence can be explained almost quantitatively in terms of the variations of ΔHdes and surface entropy Ss with coverage, by assuming that rates of desorption are equal to the equilibrium rates of adsorption. The latter can be formulated thermodynamically, except for a sticking coefficient, s. Values for s(θ, T) can also be obtained and show relatively little temperature dependence.  相似文献

We have considered the influence of electromagnetic fluctuations on electron tunneling via one non-degenerate resonant level, the problem that is relevant for electron transport through quantum dots in the Coulomb blockade regime. We show that the overall effect of the fluctuations depends on whether the electron bands in external electrodes are empty or filled. In the empty band case, depending on the relation between the tunneling rate Γ and characteristic frequency Ω of the fluctuations, the field either simply shifts the conductance peak (for rapid tunneling, Γ Ω) or broadens it (for Γ Ω). In the latter case, the system can be in three different regimes for different values of the coupling g between electrons and the field. Increasing interaction strength in the region g < 1 leads to gradual suppression of the conductance peak at the bare energy of the resonant level ε0, while at g 1 it leads to the formation of a new peak of width at the energy ε0 + Ecis a charging energy. For intermediate values of g the conductance is non-vanishing in the entire energy range from ε0 to ε0 + Ec. For filled bands the problem is essentially multi-electron in character. One consequence of this is that, in contrast to the situation with the empty band, the fluctuations of the resonant level do not suppress conductance at resonance for g < 1. At g> 1 a Coulomb gap appears in the position of the resonant level as a function of its bare energy which leads to suppression of conductance.  相似文献

Reflectance measurements with E c on a YBa2Cu3Ox single crystal where the oxygen content was varied between x = 6.8 and X = 6.98 are presented in the far infrared range (5 rmmeV < ω < 100 meV) at temperatures between 10 K and 300 K. Performing a Kramers-Kronig transformation we derived the optical conductivity δ c ( ω). An analysis of the spectral weight shows that the main contribution of the electronic transport is due to localized carriers. With decreasing the oxygen content, the spectral weight of free carriers decreases whereas the spectral weight of localized carriers is enhanced.  相似文献

We studied the coercivity in magnets of composition R17Fe83−χBχ (R = Nd, Pr and χ = 8, 30), using measurements of the coercive field Hc, its angular dependence, and the magnetic viscosity coefficient Sv, for temperatures between 4.2 and 500 K. The results are discussed in relation to a model which does not specifically consider the detailed mechanisms involved in magnetization reversal, but which provides information about the magnetic properties in the activation volume v where magnetization reversal is initiated. It is concluded that the ordering temperature in v tends to be slightly smaller than in the bulk and that the room temperature anisotropy in v is not strongly reduced with respect to the bulk value. Finally, a direct evaluation of the dipolar interactions is in good agreement with results obtained from Hc(T).  相似文献
