Cyclohexyl(o-methoxyphenyl)menthyloxyphosphineborane and t-butyl(o-methoxyphenyl)menthyloxyphosphine-borane were prepared from dichlorocyclohexylphosphine and t-butyldichlorophosphine by successive treatments with (−)-menthol, o-methoxyphenylmagnesium bromide, and borane-THF complex. The separated pure diastereomers of each of the compounds underwent reaction with lithium naphthalenide to afford optically pure cyclohexyl(o-methoxyphenyl)phosphine-borane and t-butyl(o-methoxyphenyl)phosphine-borane, respectively. These secondary phosphine-boranes reacted readily with various electrophiles in the presence of bases with virtually net retention of configuration. A new chiral phosphine ligand, (S,S)-1,2-bis[cyclohexyl(o-methoxyphenyl)phosphino]ethane was synthesized via the optically pure phosphine-boranes.  相似文献

The Fe and Ru phosphine-borane complexes CpM(CO)2PPh2 x BH3 (1, M = Fe, 4, M = Ru) were synthesized utilizing the reaction of the phosphine-borane anion Li[PPh2 x BH3] with the iodo complexes CpM(CO)2I. The Fe complex 1 reacted with PMe3 to yield CpFe(CO)(PMe3)(PPh2 x BH3) (2) and CpFe(PMe3)2(PPh2 x BH3) (3) whereas the Ru species 4 gave only CpRu(CO)(PMe3)(PPh2 x BH3) (5). The complexes 1-5 were characterized by 1H, 11B, 13C and 31P NMR spectroscopy, MS, IR and X-ray crystallography for 1 to 4, and EA for 1, 2 and 4. The reactivity of 1 and 4 towards PPh2H x BH3 was explored. Although no stoichiometric reactions were detected under mild conditions, both 1 and 4 were found to function as dehydrocoupling catalysts to afford Ph2PH x BH2 x PPh2 x BH3 in the melt at elevated temperature (120 degrees C). The carbonyl Fe2(CO)9 also functioned as a dehydrocoupling catalyst under similar conditions. Complex 1 and Fe2(CO)9 represent the first reported active Fe complexes for the catalytic dehydrocoupling of phosphine-borane adducts.  相似文献

The chemical functionality of poly(methylenephosphine) n-Bu[MesP-CPh(2)](n)H () is examined in reactions with two isoelectronic species, namely BH(3) and CH(3)(+). The potential reactivity of polymer is modelled by examining the reactivity of molecular phosphines bearing similar substituents as the polymer. In particular, the phosphine-borane adducts Mes(Me)P(BH(3))-CPh(2)H () and Mes(Me)P(BH(3))-CPh(2)SiMe(2)H () are prepared from the reaction of BH(3).SMe(2) with Mes(Me)P-CPh(2)H () or Mes(Me)P-CPh(2)SiMe(2)H (), respectively. Treating with MeOTf affords the methylated model compound, [Mes(Me)(2)P-CPh(2)H]OTf (). X-Ray crystal structures are reported for each model compound. The reaction of n-Bu[MesP-CPh(2)](n)H (M(n) = 3.89 x 10(4), PDI = 1.34) with BH(3).SMe(2) affords the phosphine-borane polymer n-Bu[MesP(BH(3))-CPh(2)](n)H () (M(n) = 4.13 x 10(4), PDI = 1.26). In contrast, methylation of phosphine polymer gives n-Bu[MesP-CPh(2)](x)-/-[MesP(Me)-CPh(2)](y)H.(OTf)(y) () where approximately 50% of the phosphine moieties are methylated (from (31)P NMR).  相似文献

In depth, comparative studies on the catalytic dehydrocoupling of the amine-borane adduct Me(2)NH.BH(3) (to form [Me(2)N-BH(2)](2)) and the phosphine-borane adduct Ph(2)PH.BH(3) (to form Ph(2)PH-BH(2)-PPh(2)-BH(3)) with a variety of Rh (pre)catalysts such as [[Rh(1,5-cod)(micro-Cl)](2)], Rh/Al(2)O(3), Rh(colloid)/[Oct(4)N]Cl, and [Rh(1,5-cod)(2)]OTf have been performed in order to determine whether the dehydrocoupling proceeds by a homogeneous or heterogeneous mechanism. The results obtained suggest that the catalytic dehydrocoupling of Me(2)NH.BH(3) is heterogeneous in nature involving Rh(0) colloids, while that of Ph(2)PH.BH(3) proceeds by a homogeneous mechanism even when starting with Rh(0) precursors such as Rh/Al(2)O(3). The catalytic dehydrocoupling reactions are thought to proceed by different mechanisms due to a combination of factors such as (i) the greater reducing strength of amine-borane adducts, (ii) the increased ease of dissociation of phosphine-borane adducts, and (iii) phosphine ligation and/or poisoning of active catalytic sites on metal colloids.  相似文献

Reactions of sterically demanding phosphinimines R3PNH [R=i-Pr (1), t-Bu (2)] were examined. Reactions with B(C6F5)3 formed the adducts (R3PNH)B(C6F5)3 [R=i-Pr (3), t-Bu (4)] in high yield. On the other hand, 2 reacts with HB(OBu)2, evolving H2 to give t-Bu3PNB(OBu)2 (5). The reaction of 2 equiv of 2 with BH3.SMe2 affords the species (t-Bu3PN)2BH (6). In contrast, the reaction of n-Bu(t-Bu)2PNH with BH3.SMe2 results in the formation of the robust adduct n-Bu(t-Bu)2PNH.BH3 (8). An alternative route to borane-phosphinimide complexes involves Me3SiCl elimination, as exemplified by the reaction of BCl2Ph with n-Bu3PNSiMe3, which gives the product n-Bu3PNBCl(Ph) (9). The corresponding reactions of the parent phosphinimines 1 and 2 with AlH3.NMe2Et give the dimers [(mu-i-Pr3PN)AlH2]2 (10) and [(mu-t-Bu3PN)AlH2]2 (11). Species 11 reacts further with Me3SiO3SCF3 to provide [(mu-t-Bu3PN)AlH(OSO2CF3)]2 (12). The reaction of the lithium salt [t-Bu3PNLi]4 (13) with BCl3 proceeds smoothly to give t-Bu3PNBCl2 (14), which is readily alkylated to give t-Bu3PNBMe2 (15). Subsequent reaction of 15 with B(C6F5)3 results in methyl abstraction and the formation of [(mu-t-Bu3PN)BMe]2[MeB(C6F5)3]2 (16). The reaction of 13 in a 2:1 ratio with BCl3 gives the salt [(t-Bu3PN)2B]Cl (17). This species can be methylated to give (t-Bu3PN)2BMe (18), which undergoes subsequent reaction with [Ph3C][X] (X=[B(C6F5)4], [PF6]) to form the related salts [(t-Bu3PN)2B][B(C6F5)4] (19) and [(t-Bu3PN)2B][PF6] (20), respectively. Analogous reactions with [Ph3C][BF4] afforded [t-Bu3PNBF2]2 (21). Compounds 3, 4, 6, 8, 11, 12, 17, 19, and 21 were characterized by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

The dehydrocoupling of the fluorinated secondary phosphine-borane adduct R2PH.BH3 (R = p-CF3C6H4) at 60 degrees C is catalyzed by the rhodium complex [{Rh(mu-Cl)(1,5-cod)}2] to give the four-membered chain R2PH-BH2-R2P-BH3. A mixture of the cyclic trimer [R2P-BH2]3 and tetramer [R2P-BH2]4 was obtained from the same reaction at a more elevated temperature of 100 degrees C. The analogous rhodium-catalyzed dehydrocoupling of the primary phosphine-borane adduct RPH2.BH3 at 60 degrees C gave the high molecular weight polyphosphinoborane polymer [RPH-BH2]n (Mw = 56,170, PDI = 1.67). The molecular weight was investigated by gel permeation chromatography and the compound characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy. Interestingly, the electron-withdrawing fluorinated aryl substituents have an important influence on the reactivity as the dehydrocoupling process occurred efficiently at the mildest temperatures observed for phosphine-borane adducts to date. Thin films of polymeric [RPH-BH2]n (R = p-CF3C6H4) have also been shown to function as effective negative-tone resists towards electron beam (e-beam) lithography (EBL). The resultant patterned bars were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (TOF-SIMS).  相似文献

Treatment of the secondary phosphine {(Me(3)Si)(2)CH}PH(C(6)H(4)-2-SMe) with BH(3)·SMe(2) gives the corresponding phosphine-borane {(Me(3)Si)(2)CH}PH(BH(3))(C(6)H(4)-2-SMe) (9) as a colourless solid. Deprotonation of 9 with n-BuLi, PhCH(2)Na or PhCH(2)K proceeds cleanly to give the corresponding alkali metal complexes [[{(Me(3)Si)(2)CH}P(BH(3))(C(6)H(4)-2-SMe)]ML](n) [ML = Li(THF), n = 2 (10); ML = Na(tmeda), n = ∞ (11); ML = K(pmdeta), n = 2 (12)] as yellow/orange crystalline solids. X-ray crystallography reveals that the phosphido-borane ligands bind the metal centres through their sulfur and phosphorus atoms and through the hydrogen atoms of the BH(3) group in each case, leading to dimeric or polymeric structures. Compounds 10-12 are stable towards both heat and ambient light; however, on heating in toluene solution in the presence of 10, traces of free phosphine-borane 9 are slowly converted to the free phosphine {(Me(3)Si)(2)CH}PH(C(6)H(4)-2-SMe) (5) with concomitant formation of the corresponding phosphido-bis(borane) complex [{(Me(3)Si)(2)CH}P(BH(3))(2)(C(6)H(4)-2-SMe)]Li (14).  相似文献

The Lewis acid cyclohexylbis(pentafluorophenyl)boron 1, which exhibits about 15% lower Lewis acidity in comparison with B(C(6)F(5))(3), activates H(2) in the presence of the bulky Lewis bases 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine (TMP), 1,2,2,6,6-pentamethylpiperidine (PMP), tri-tert-butylphosphine (t-Bu(3)P) leading in facile reactions at room temperature to heterolytic splitting of dihydrogen and formation of the salts [TMPH][CyBH(C(6)F(5))(2)] 2, [PMPH][CyBH(C(6)F(5))(2)] 3 and [t-Bu(3)PH][CyBH(C(6)F(5))(2)] 4, which could be dehydrogenated at higher temperatures. The related Lewis acid 1-phenyl-2-[bis(pentafluorophenyl)boryl]ethane 5 exhibiting about 10% lower Lewis acidity than B(C(6)F(5))(3) is also capable of splitting H(2) in a heterolytic fashion in the presence of TMP, PMP and t-Bu(3)P yielding [TMPH][PhC(2)H(4)BH(C(6)F(5))(2)] 6, [PMPH][PhC(2)H(4)BH(C(6)F(5))(2)] 7 and [t-Bu(3)PH][PhC(2)H(4)BH(C(6)F(5))(2)] 8. Under comparable conditions as for 2-4, the dehydrogenations of 6-8 were much slower. 4b and 6 were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies.  相似文献

The dehydrocoupling of the sterically hindered phosphine-borane adduct tBu(2)PH.BH(3) above 140 degrees C is catalyzed by the rhodium complexes [Rh(1,5-cod)(2)][OTf] or Rh(6)(CO)(16) to give the four-membered chain tBu(2)PH-BH(2)-tBu(2)P-BH(3) (1), which was isolated in 60% yield and characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis. Thermolysis of 1 in the temperature range 175-180 degrees C led to partial decomposition and the formation of tBu(2)PH.BH(3). When the dehydrocoupling of tBu(2)PH.BH(3) was performed in the presence of [[Rh(mu-Cl)(1,5-cod)](2)] or RhCl(3) hydrate, the chlorinated compound tBu(2)PH-BH(2)-tBu(2)P-BH(2)Cl (2) was formed which could not be obtained free of 1. The molecular structures of tBu(2)PH.BH(3), tBu(2)PH-BH(2)-tBu(2)P-BH(3) (1), and tBu(2)PH-BH(2)-tBu(2)P-BH(2)Cl (2) together with 1 were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies.  相似文献

Reaction of [Pt(PEt(3))(3)] with the primary and secondary phosphine-borane adducts PhRPH x BH(3) (R=H, Ph) resulted in oxidative addition of a P-H bond at the Pt(0) center to afford the complexes trans-[PtH(PPhR x BH(3))(PEt(3))(2)] (1: R=H; 2: R=Ph). The products 1 and 2 were characterized by (1)H, (11)B, (13)C, (31)P, and (195)Pt NMR spectroscopy, and the molecular structures were verified by X-ray crystallography. In both cases, a trans arrangement of the hydride ligand with respect to the phosphidoborane ligand was observed. When 2 was treated with PhPH(2) x BH(3), a novel phosphidoborane ligand-exchange reaction occurred which yielded 1 and Ph(2)PH x BH(3). Treatment of 2 with one equivalent of depe (depe=1,2-bis(diethylphosphino)ethane) resulted in the formation of the complex cis-[PtH(PPh(2) x BH(3))(depe)] (3), in which the hydride ligand and the phosphidoborane ligand are in a cis arrangement. Treatment of 3 with PhPH(2) x BH(3) was found to result in an exchange of the phosphidoborane ligands to give the complex cis-[PtH(PPhH x BH(3))(depe)] (4) and Ph(2)PH x BH(3). Complex 4 was found to undergo further reaction in the presence of PhPH(2) x BH(3) to give meso-cis-[Pt(PPhH x BH(3))(2)(depe)] (5) and rac-cis-[Pt(PPhH x BH(3))(2)(depe)] (6).  相似文献

The reaction of the Pt(II) dihydride complex cis-[PtH2(dcype)](dcype = 1,2-bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)ethane) with the primary or secondary phosphine-borane adducts PhRPH x BH3(R = H, Ph) was found to exclusively afford the mono-substituted complexes cis-[PtH(PPhR x BH3)(dcype)](1: R = H; 2: R = Ph)via a dehydrocoupling reaction between Pt-H and P-H bonds. Similar reactivity was observed between the uncoordinated phosphines PhRPH (R = H, Ph) and cis-[PtH2(dcype)], which gave cis-[PtH(PPhR)(dcype)](4: R = H; 5: R = Ph). The complexes were characterized by 1H, 11B, 13C and 31P NMR spectroscopy, IR, MS and, in the case of 2, X-ray crystallography that confirmed the cis geometries. The di-substituted complex cis-[Pt(PhPH x BH3)2(dcype)](3) was prepared from the reaction of cis-[PtCl2(dcype)] with two equivalents of Li[PPhH x BH3]. This suggested that steric reasons alone cannot be used to explain the lack of reactivity with respect to a second dehydrocoupling reaction involving the remaining Pt-H bond in complexes 1, 2, 4 and 5.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] A general new method for the one-pot preparation of secondary phosphines 11 and in situ generation of their borane complexes 12 is described. This method consists of the sequential addition, at room temperature, of equivalent amounts of R(1)MgBr and R(2)MgBr to 1 equiv of the phosphorus atom donor reagent 1. Final treatment with water gives secondary phosphines R(1)R(2)PH (or the corresponding phosphine-borane complexes if treated with BH(3).THF) and the end product 6, which can be recycled.  相似文献

The reaction of the lithiated phosphine-borane adducts Li[PPhR.BH(3)] or Li[CH(2)-PR(2).BH(3)] with Me(2)NH.BH(2)Cl afforded the hybrid linear species Me(2)NH-BH(2)-PPhR-BH(3) (1, R = Ph; 2, R = H) or Me(2)NH-BH(2)-CH(2)-PR(2)-BH(3) (3, R = Ph; 4, R = Me). Single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies on 1 and 3, the first for linear hybrid aminoborane/phosphinoborane adducts, confirmed the expected four-coordinate N-B-P-B and N-B-C-P-B frameworks. In addition, interactions between the protic N-H and hydridic B-H hydrogen atoms resulted in short intermolecular H...H contacts for 1, whereas 3 was found to possess an exceptionally short intramolecular H...H distance of 1.95 A. Solution and solid state infrared studies on 3 and 4 also suggest that these dihydrogen interactions were maintained even in dilute solution. Hydrogen bond strengths in the range of 7.9 to 10.9 kJ mol(-1) indicate the presence of a relatively weak interaction. The thermal and catalytic dehydrocoupling reactivities of 1-4 were also investigated. Chain cleavage reactions were observed for 1 and 2 upon thermolysis at 130 degrees C to afford species such as Me(2)NH.BH(3), [Me(2)N-BH(2)](2), PhPRH.BH(3) (R = Ph, H), PhPRH (R = Ph, H), Ph(2)PH-BH(2)-PPh(2)-BH(3), and also the low molecular weight polyphosphinoborane [PhPH-BH(2)](n) (M(w) approximately 5000). Similar products were observed for the attempted catalytic dehydrocoupling reactions but under milder reaction conditions (50 degrees C). Thermolysis of 3 at 130 degrees C yielded the six-membered ring [BH(2)-CH(2)-PPh(2)](2) (5), which presumably results from the dissociation of Me(2)NH.BH(3) from 3. Thermolysis of 4 at 90 degrees C afforded Me(2)NH.BH(3) and Me(3)P.BH(3), in addition to a product tentatively assigned as [BH(2)-CH(2)-PMe(2)](2) (6).  相似文献

Hydrozirconation of cis-2-butene with Cp*ZrHCl[N(t-Bu)C(Me)N(Et)], generated in situ through hydrogenolysis of Cp*ZrCl(SiMe2Ph)[N(t-Bu)C(Me)N(Et)] (5), proceeds in high yield to produce a 1:2 mixture of the kinetically stable, diastereomeric sec-butyl complexes, 3a and 3b. Hydrozirconation of trans-2-butene under identical conditions provides a 2:1 mixture of 3a and 3b. Isolation of diastereomerically pure 3a was achieved through reaction of Cp*ZrCl2[N(t-Bu)C(Me)N(Et)] (4) with sec-butyllithium to provide a 2:1 ratio of 3a and 3b, followed by fractional crystallization. Crystallographic analysis of 3a establishes the relative configuration of the sec-butyl group with respect to the chiral zirconium center, thereby permitting construction of diastereomeric transition states that explain the origin of high face selectivity in the hydrozirconation of cis-2-butene. Finally, both iodinative zirconium-carbon bond cleavage and insertion of tert-butyl isocyanide into the zirconium-carbon bond of the sec-butyl group of 3a were found to proceed in high yield and with retention of the secondary alkyl structure. Together, these results provide a critical platform upon which efforts directed toward the asymmetric hydrozirconation of alkenes can be based.  相似文献

Racemic and optically active 1-propyl- and 1-butyl-3-methyl-3-phospholene oxides, as well as 1-propyl-3-methylphospholane oxides were converted after deoxygenation to the corresponding phosphine-borane and phopshine-platinum complexes. Stereostructure of the novel platinum complexes with a propyl group on the phosphorus atom was evaluated by quantum chemical calculations. The complexes displayed characteristic properties regarding their NMR spectra and showed unusual regioselectivity as catalysts in the hydroformylation of styrene derivatives. Ee-s up to 21% were obtained in the presence of optically active Pt-complex precursors.  相似文献

The hydroboration of olefins with Et(2)BH provides diethyl(alkyl)boranes 2 which readily undergo a boron-zinc exchange with Et(2)Zn providing a range of polyfunctional primary, secondary, and benzylic diorganozincs. The resulting diorganozincs 3 have been reacted with various electrophiles (allylic halides, acid chlorides, alkylidenemalonates, ethyl propiolate, nitroolefins) in the presence of CuCN.2LiCl with excellent yields. With secondary dialkylzincs prepared from diastereomerically pure diethyl(alkyl)boranes, the boron-zinc exchange occurs with loss of stereochemistry. The asymmetric addition of 3 to aldehydes in the presence of the chiral catalyst 55 furnishes optically active polyfunctional secondary alcohols (50 to over 96% ee).  相似文献

In the presence of NaH, the reaction between N2 and Mo(N[t-Bu]Ar)3 (Ar = 3,5-C6H3Me2) proceeds at room temperature to afford NMo(N[t-Bu]Ar)3 (95%). Lewis acidic silyl triflates (Me3SiOTf + pyridine or (i-Pr)3SiOTf) mediate a reaction between acid chlorides and NMo(N[t-Bu]Ar)3 to yield acyl imidos [RC(O)NMo(N[t-Bu]Ar)3][OTf] (R = Me, 92%; Ph, 75%; t-Bu, 64%). The reduction of [RC(O)NMo(N[t-Bu]Ar)3][OTf] by magnesium anthracene followed by treatment with Me3SiOTf affords molybdenum ketimides, R(Me3SiO)CNMo(N[t-Bu]Ar)3 (R = Me, 82%; Ph, 77%; t-Bu, 46%). Exposing R(Me3SiO)CNMo(N[t-Bu]Ar)3 to SnCl2 or ZnCl2 produces ClMo(N[t-Bu]Ar)3 (71-93% for SnCl2) and RCN (97-99%). Magnesium metal reduces ClMo(N[t-Bu]Ar)3 to Mo(N[t-Bu]Ar)3 (74%), completing a synthetic cycle. New strategies for the functionalization of sterically hindered nitrides and nitrile extrusion from d2 ketimides are presented in the context of a new route for derivatizing N2.  相似文献

A combined use of ephedrine and cinchonine as resolving agents enabled facile resolution of racemic tert-butylphenylphosphinous acid-borane (1) into the two enantiomers in ca. 31-32% yield each. The resolved 1 served as a model substrate to study stereoselective synthetic transformations of phosphinous acid-boranes yielding optically active phosphinite-borane, boranatophosphinous-sulfonic anhydride, secondary phosphine-borane, tertiary phosphine-borane, secondary phosphine oxide, and phosphinic halides. By the judicious choice of the reaction paths, either enantiomer of tert-butylphenylphosphine-borane and of tert-butylmethylphenylphosphine-borane could be stereoselectively obtained from a single enantiomer of 1.  相似文献

The bulky hydrazine t-BuN(H)NMe2 was synthesized via hydrazone and t-BuN(H)N(H)Me intermediates as the major component in a 90:5:5 mixture consisting of t-BuN(H)NMe2, t-BuN(Me)N(H)Me, and t-BuN(Me)NMe2. Reacting the mixture with n-BuLi followed by distillation and fractional crystallization led to the isolation of the ligand precursor LiN(t-Bu)NMe2. Lithium hydrazides, LiN(R)NMe2, were reacted with metal chlorides to afford the hydrazide complexes M(N(Et)NMe2)4 (M = Zr or Hf), MCl(N(R)NMe2)3 (M = Zr, R = i-Pr or t-Bu; M = Hf, R = t-Bu), and TaCl3(N(i-Pr)NMe2)2. The X-ray crystal structures of [LiN(i-Pr)NMe2]4, [LiN(t-Bu)NMe2.THF]2, ZrCl(N(R)NMe2)3 (R = i-Pr or t-Bu), and TaCl3(N(i-Pr)NMe2)2 were determined. The structural analyses revealed that the hydrazide ligands in ZrCl(N(R)NMe2)3 (R = i-Pr or t-Bu) and TaCl3(N(i-Pr)NMe2)2 are eta2 coordinated.  相似文献
