We give a conjecture on the lower bound of the ADM mass M by using the null energy condition. The conjecture includes a Penrose-like inequality $3M\geqslant \kappa { \mathcal A }/(4\pi )+\sqrt{{ \mathcal A }/4\pi }$ and the Penrose inequality $2M\geqslant \sqrt{{ \mathcal A }/4\pi }$ with ${ \mathcal A }$ the event horizon area and κ the surface gravity. Both the conjecture in the static spherically symmetric case and the Penrose inequality for a dynamical spacetime with spherical symmetry are proved by imposing the null energy condition. We then generalize the conjecture to a general dynamical spacetime. Our results raise a new challenge for the famous unsettled question in general relativity: in what general case can the null energy condition replace other energy conditions to ensure the Penrose inequality?  相似文献

This is a pedagogical review on ■ deformation of two dimensional quantum field theories. It is based on three lectures which the author gave at ITP-CAS in December 2018. This review consists of four parts. The first part is a general introduction to ■ deformation. Special emphasises are put on the deformed classical Lagrangian and the exact solvability of the spectrum. The second part focuses on the torus partition sum of the ■ deformed conformal field theories and modular invariance/covariance. In the third part, different perspectives of ■ deformation are presented, including its relation to random geometry, 2D topological gravity and holography. We summarize more recent developments until January 2021 in the last part.  相似文献

A quantum integrability index was proposed in Komatsu et al(2019 SciPost Phys. 7 065). It systematizes the Goldschmidt and Witten's operator counting argument(Goldschmidt and Witten 1980 Phys. Lett. B 91 392) by using the conformal symmetry. In this work we compute the quantum integrability indexes for the symmetric coset models SU(N)/SO(N) and SO(2N)/SO(N)×SO(N). The indexes of these theories are all non-positive except for the case of SO(4)/SO(2)×SO(2). Moreover we extend the analysis to the theories with fermions and consider a concrete theory: the CP~N model coupled with a massless Dirac fermion. We find that the indexes for this class of models are non-positive as well.

计算得到a~3∏_1(v'=0)?X~1∑_(0+)~+(v"=0)和A~1∏_1(v'=0)?X~1Σ_(0+)~+(v"=0)跃迁具有高对角分布的弗兰克-康登因子,分别为0.9990和0.9999;计算得到a~3∏_1和A~1∏_1态的自发辐射寿命分别为1.472和0.188 ms.A~1∏_1?X~1∑_(0+)~+跃迁存在中间态a~3∏_(0+)和a~3∏_1,但中间态对激光冷却SH~-阴离子的影响可以忽略.分别利用a~3∏_1(v'=0)? X~1∑_(0+)~+(v"=0)和A~1∏_1(v'=0)? X~1∑_(0+)~+(v"=0)跃迁构建了准闭合的能级系统,冷却所需的激光波长分别为492.27和478.57 nm.最后预测了激光冷却SH~-阴离子能达到的多普勒温度和反冲温度.这些结果为进一步实验提供了理论参数.  相似文献

We search for isotropic stochastic gravitational-wave background (SGWB) in the International Pulsar Timing Array second data release. By modeling the SGWB as a power-law, we find very strong Bayesian evidence for a common-spectrum process, and further this process has scalar transverse (ST) correlations allowed in general metric theory of gravity as the Bayes factor in favor of the ST-correlated process versus the spatially uncorrelated common-spectrum process is 30 ± 2. The median and the 90% equal-tail amplitudes of ST mode are ${{ \mathcal A }}_{\mathrm{ST}}={1.29}_{-0.44}^{+0.51}\times {10}^{-15}$, or equivalently the energy density parameter per logarithm frequency is ${{\rm{\Omega }}}_{\mathrm{GW}}^{\mathrm{ST}}={2.31}_{-1.30}^{+2.19}\times {10}^{-9}$, at frequency of 1 year−1. However, we do not find any statistically significant evidence for the tensor transverse (TT) mode and then place the 95% upper limits as ${{ \mathcal A }}_{\mathrm{TT}}\lt 3.95\times {10}^{-15}$, or equivalently ${{\rm{\Omega }}}_{\mathrm{GW}}^{\mathrm{TT}}\lt 2.16\times {10}^{-9}$, at frequency of 1 year−1.  相似文献

In this work we study the semileptonic decay of ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {l}^{+}{l}^{-}$ (l=e, μ, τ) with the QCD sum rule method. We calculate the ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi $ translation form factors relevant to this semileptonic decay, then the branching ratios of ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {l}^{+}{l}^{-}$ (l=e, μ, τ) decays are calculated with the form factors obtained here. Our result for the branching ratio of ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {\mu }^{+}{\mu }^{-}$ agree very well with the recent experimental data. For the unmeasured decay modes such as ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {e}^{+}{e}^{-}$ and ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {\tau }^{+}{\tau }^{-}$, we give theoretical predictions.  相似文献

This paper focuses on the issue of resilient dynamic output-feedback (DOF) control for ${{ \mathcal H }}_{\infty }$ synchronization of chaotic Hopfield networks with time-varying delay. The aim is to determine a DOF controller with gain perturbations ensuring that the ${{ \mathcal H }}_{\infty }$ norm from the external disturbances to the synchronization error is less than or equal to a prescribed bound. A delay-dependent criterion for the ${{ \mathcal H }}_{\infty }$ synchronization is derived by employing the Lyapunov functional method together with some recent inequalities. Then, with the help of some decoupling techniques, sufficient conditions on the existence of the resilient DOF controller are developed for both the time-varying and constant time-delay cases. Lastly, an example is used to illustrate the applicability of the results obtained.  相似文献

The N-dependence of the non-relativistic bosonic ground state energy ? B (N) is studied for quantum N-body systems with either Coulomb or Newton interactions. The Coulomb systems are “bosonic atoms,” with their nucleus fixed, and it is shown that $\mathcal {E}_{{C}}^{{B}}(N)/\mathcal {P}_{{C}}(N)$ grows monotonically in N>1, where ? C (N)=N 2(N?1). The Newton systems are “bosonic stars,” and it is shown that when the Bosons are centrally attracted to a fixed gravitational “grain” of mass M>0, and N>2, then $\mathcal {E}_{{N}}^{{B}}(N;M)/\mathcal {P}_{\!{N}}(N)$ grows monotonically in N, where ? N (N)=N(N?1)(N?2); in the translation-invariant problem (M=0), it is shown that when N>1 then $\mathcal {E}_{{N}}^{{B}}(N;0)/\mathcal {P}_{{C}}(N)$ grows monotonically in N, with ? C (N) from the Coulomb problem. Some applications of the new monotonicity results are discussed.  相似文献

In Minkowski space ${ \mathcal M }$, we derive the effective Schrödinger equation describing a spin-less particle confined to a rotating curved surface ${ \mathcal S }$. Using the thin-layer quantization formalism to constrain the particle on ${ \mathcal S }$, we obtain the relativity-corrected geometric potential ${V}_{g}^{{\prime} }$, and a novel effective potential ${\tilde{V}}_{g}$ related to both the Gaussian curvature and the geodesic curvature of the rotating surface. The Coriolis effect and the centrifugal potential also appear in the equation. Subsequently, we apply the surface Schrödinger equation to a rotating cylinder, sphere and torus surfaces, in which we find that the interplays between the rotation and surface geometry can contribute to the energy spectrum based on the potentials they offer.  相似文献

This article begins with a review of the framework of fuzzy probability theory. The basic structure is given by the -effect algebra of effects (fuzzy events) and the set of probability measures on a measurable space . An observable is defined, where is the value space of X. It is noted that there exists a one-to-one correspondence between states on and elements of and between observables and -morphisms from to . Various combinations of observables are discussed. These include compositions, products, direct products, and mixtures. Fuzzy stochastic processes are introduced and an application to quantum dynamics is considered. Quantum effects are characterized from among a more general class of effects. An alternative definition of a statistical map is given and it is shown that any statistical map has a unique extension to a statistical operator. Finally, various combinations of statistical maps are discussed and their relationships to the corresponding combinations of observables are derived.  相似文献

We study the characteristics of temperature fluctuation in two-dimensional turbulent Rayleigh–Benard convection in′a square cavity by direct numerical simulations. The Rayleigh number range is 1×108≤Ra≤1×1013,and the Prandtl number is selected as Pr=0.7 and Pr=4.3.It is found that the temperature fluctuation profiles with respect to Ra exhibit two different distribution patterns. In the thermal boundary layer, the normalized fluctuationθrms/θrms,max is independent of Ra and a power law relation is identified,i.e.,θrms/θrms,max~(z/δ)0.99±0.01,where z/δis a dimensionless distance to the boundary(δis the thickness of thermal boundary layer).Out of the boundary layer, when Ra≤5×109,the profiles ofθrms/θrms,max descend, then ascend, and finally drop dramatically as z/δincreases.While for Ra≥1×1010,the profiles continuously decrease and finally overlap with each other. The two different characteristics of temperature fluctuations are closely related to the formation of stable large-scale circulations and corner rolls.Besides, there is a critical value of Ra indicating the transition, beyond which the fluctuation hθrmsiV has a power law dependence on Ra,given by hθrmsiV~Ra?0.14±0.01.  相似文献

Unextendible product bases (UPBs) are interesting members of a family of orthogonal product bases. Here, we investigate the construction of 3-qudit UPBs with strong nonlocality. First, a UPB set in ${{C}^{3}}\otimes {{C}^{3}}\otimes {{C}^{3}}$ of size 19 is presented based on the shift UPBs. By mapping the system to a Rubik's cube, we provide a general method of constructing UPBs in ${{C}^{d}}\otimes {{C}^{d}}\otimes {{C}^{d}}$ of size ${{\left(d-1 \right)}^{3}}+2d+5$, whose corresponding Rubik's cube is composed of four parts. Second, for the more general case where the dimensions of parties are different, we extend the classical tile structure to the 3-qudit system and propose the tri-tile structure. By means of this structure, a ${{C}^{4}}\otimes {{C}^{4}}\otimes {{C}^{5}}$ system of size 38 is obtained based on a ${{C}^{3}}\otimes {{C}^{3}}\otimes {{C}^{4}}$ system of size 19. Then, we generalize this approach to the ${{C}^{{{d}_{1}}}}\otimes {{C}^{{{d}_{2}}}}\otimes {{C}^{{{d}_{3}}}}$ system which also consists of four parts. Our research provides a positive answer to the open question raised in by Halder et al. [$Phys. Rev. Lett$. 122 040403 (2019)], indicating that there do exist UPBs that can exhibit strong quantum nonlocality without entanglement.  相似文献

We show how to construct measures on Banach manifolds associated to supersymmetric quantum field theories. These measures are mathematically well-defined objects inspired by the formal path integrals appearing in the physics literature on quantum field theory. We give three concrete examples of our construction. The first example is a family of measures on a space of functions on the two-torus, parametrized by a polynomial P (the Wess-Zumino-Landau-Ginzburg model). The second is a family of measures on a space of maps from to a Lie group (the Wess-Zumino-Novikov-Witten model). Finally we study a family of measures on the product of a space of connections on the trivial principal bundle with structure group G on a three-dimensional manifold M with a space of -valued three-forms on M. We show that these measures are positive, and that the measures are Borel probability measures. As an application we show that formulas arising from expectations in the measures reproduce formulas discovered by Frenkel and Zhu in the theory of vertex operator algebras. We conjecture that a similar computation for the measures , where M is a homology three-sphere, will yield the Casson invariant of M. Applying the transfer matrix and Green's function methods, we study the valley-resolved transport properties of zigzag graphene nanoribbon (ZGNR) junctions. The width of the left and right ZGNRs are NL and NR, and NLNR. The step/dip positions of the conductance G, the intravalley transmission coefficients (TKK and ${T}_{{K}^{{\prime} }{K}^{{\prime} }}$), and the valley polarization efficiency ${P}_{{{KK}}^{{\prime} }}$ correspond to the subband edges of the right/left ZGNR that are controlled by NR/NL. The intervalley transmission coefficients (${T}_{{{KK}}^{{\prime} }}$ and ${T}_{{K}^{{\prime} }K}$) exhibit peaks at most of the subband edge of the left and right ZGNRs. In the bulk gap of the right ZGNR, ${T}_{{{KK}}^{{\prime} }}$ $={T}_{{K}^{{\prime} }K}$=0, and ${P}_{{{KK}}^{{\prime} }}$ = ±1, the valley polarization is well preserved. As NR increases, the energy region for ${P}_{{{KK}}^{{\prime} }}$ = ±1 decreases. When NL is fixed and NR decreases, G, TKK, ${T}_{{K}^{{\prime} }{K}^{{\prime} }}$ and ${P}_{{{KK}}^{{\prime} }}$ exhibit more and more dips, and the peaks of ${T}_{{{KK}}^{{\prime} }}$ (${T}_{{K}^{{\prime} }K}$) become more and more high, especially when (NLNR)/2 is odd. These characters are quite useful for manipulating the valley dependent transport properties of carriers in ZGNR junctions by modulating NL or NR, and our results are helpful to the design of valleytronics based on ZGNR junctions.  相似文献

This paper starts with a self-contained discussion of the so-called Akulov–Volkov action SAV\mathcal{S}_{\mathrm{AV}}, which is traditionally taken to be the leading-order action of the Goldstino field. Explicit expressions for SAV\mathcal{S}_{\mathrm{AV}} and its chiral version SAVch\mathcal{S}_{\mathrm{AV}}^{\mathrm{ch}} are presented. We then turn to the issue on how these actions are related to the leading-order action SNL\mathcal{S}_{\mathrm{NL}} proposed in the newly proposed constrained superfield formalism. We show that SNL\mathcal{S}_{\mathrm{NL}} may yield SAV/SAVch\mathcal{S}_{\mathrm {AV}}/\mathcal{S}_{\mathrm{AV}}^{\mathrm{ch}} or a totally different action SKS\mathcal{S}_{\mathrm{KS}}, depending on how the auxiliary field in the former is integrated out. However, SKS\mathcal{S}_{\mathrm{KS}} and SAV/SAVch\mathcal{S}_{\mathrm {AV}}/\mathcal{S}_{\mathrm{AV}}^{\mathrm{ch}} always yield the same S-matrix elements, as one would have expected from general considerations in quantum field theory.  相似文献

We calculate the (parity-violating) spin-rotation angle of a polarized neutron beam through hydrogen and deuterium targets, using pionless effective field theory up to next-to-leading order. Our result is part of a program to obtain the five leading independent low-energy parameters that characterize hadronic parity violation from few-body observables in one systematic and consistent framework. The two spin-rotation angles provide independent constraints on these parameters. Our result for np spin rotation is $\frac{1} {\rho }\frac{{d\varphi _{PV}^{np} }} {{dl}} = \left[ {4.5 \pm 0.5} \right] rad MeV^{ - \frac{1} {2}} \left( {2g^{\left( {^3 S_1 - ^3 P_1 } \right)} + g^{\left( {^3 S_1 - ^3 P_1 } \right)} } \right) - \left[ {18.5 \pm 1.9} \right] rad MeV^{ - \frac{1} {2}} \left( {g_{\left( {\Delta {\rm I} = 0} \right)}^{\left( {^1 S_0 - ^3 P_0 } \right)} - 2g_{\left( {\Delta {\rm I} = 2} \right)}^{\left( {^1 S_0 - ^3 P_0 } \right)} } \right)$\frac{1} {\rho }\frac{{d\varphi _{PV}^{np} }} {{dl}} = \left[ {4.5 \pm 0.5} \right] rad MeV^{ - \frac{1} {2}} \left( {2g^{\left( {^3 S_1 - ^3 P_1 } \right)} + g^{\left( {^3 S_1 - ^3 P_1 } \right)} } \right) - \left[ {18.5 \pm 1.9} \right] rad MeV^{ - \frac{1} {2}} \left( {g_{\left( {\Delta {\rm I} = 0} \right)}^{\left( {^1 S_0 - ^3 P_0 } \right)} - 2g_{\left( {\Delta {\rm I} = 2} \right)}^{\left( {^1 S_0 - ^3 P_0 } \right)} } \right), while for nd spin rotation we obtain $\frac{1} {\rho }\frac{{d\varphi _{PV}^{nd} }} {{dl}} = \left[ {8.0 \pm 0.8} \right] rad MeV^{ - \frac{1} {2}} g^{\left( {^3 S_1 - ^1 P_1 } \right)} + \left[ {17.0 \pm 1.7} \right] rad MeV^{ - \frac{1} {2}} g^{\left( {^3 S_1 - ^3 P_1 } \right)} + \left[ {2.3 \pm 0.5} \right] rad MeV^{ - \frac{1} {2}} \left( {3g_{\left( {\Delta {\rm I} = 0} \right)}^{\left( {^1 S_0 - ^3 P_0 } \right)} - 2g_{\left( {\Delta {\rm I} = 1} \right)}^{\left( {^1 S_0 - ^3 P_0 } \right)} } \right)$\frac{1} {\rho }\frac{{d\varphi _{PV}^{nd} }} {{dl}} = \left[ {8.0 \pm 0.8} \right] rad MeV^{ - \frac{1} {2}} g^{\left( {^3 S_1 - ^1 P_1 } \right)} + \left[ {17.0 \pm 1.7} \right] rad MeV^{ - \frac{1} {2}} g^{\left( {^3 S_1 - ^3 P_1 } \right)} + \left[ {2.3 \pm 0.5} \right] rad MeV^{ - \frac{1} {2}} \left( {3g_{\left( {\Delta {\rm I} = 0} \right)}^{\left( {^1 S_0 - ^3 P_0 } \right)} - 2g_{\left( {\Delta {\rm I} = 1} \right)}^{\left( {^1 S_0 - ^3 P_0 } \right)} } \right), where the g (X-Y), in units of $MeV^{ - \frac{3} {2}}$MeV^{ - \frac{3} {2}}, are the presently unknown parameters in the leading-order parity-violating Lagrangian. Using naıve dimensional analysis to estimate the typical size of the couplings, we expect the signal for standard target densities to be $\left| {\frac{{d\varphi _{PV} }} {{dl}}} \right| \approx \left[ {10^{ - 7} \ldots 10^{ - 6} } \right]\frac{{rad}} {m}$\left| {\frac{{d\varphi _{PV} }} {{dl}}} \right| \approx \left[ {10^{ - 7} \ldots 10^{ - 6} } \right]\frac{{rad}} {m} for both hydrogen and deuterium targets. We find no indication that the nd observable is enhanced compared to the np one. All results are properly renormalized. An estimate of the numerical and systematic uncertainties of our calculations indicates excellent convergence. An appendix contains the relevant partial-wave projectors of the three-nucleon system.  相似文献

This paper deals with topos-theoretic truth-value valuations of quantum propositions. Concretely, a mathematical framework of a specific type of modal approach is extended to the topos theory, and further, structures of the obtained truth-value valuations are investigated. What is taken up is the modal approach based on a determinate lattice , which is a sublattice of the lattice of all quantum propositions and is determined by a quantum state e and a preferred determinate observable R. Topos-theoretic extension is made in the functor category of which base category is determined by R. Each true atom, which determines truth values, true or false, of all propositions in , generates also a multi-valued valuation function of which domain and range are and a Heyting algebra given by the subobject classifier in , respectively. All true propositions in are assigned the top element of the Heyting algebra by the valuation function. False propositions including the null proposition are, however, assigned values larger than the bottom element. This defect can be removed by use of a subobject semi-classifier. Furthermore, in order to treat all possible determinate observables in a unified framework, another valuations are constructed in the functor category . Here, the base category includes all ’s as subcategories. Although has a structure apparently different from , a subobject semi-classifier of gives valuations completely equivalent to those in ’s.  相似文献
