A model for the simulation of pedestrian flows and crowd dynamics has been developed. The model is based on a series of forces, such as: will forces (the desire to reach a place at a certain time), pedestrian collision avoidance forces, obstacle/wall avoidance forces; pedestrian contact forces, and obstacle/wall contact forces. Except for the will force, it is assumed that for any given pedestrian these forces are the result of only local (nearest neighbour) situations. The near-neighbour search problem is solved by an efficient incremental Delaunay triangulation that is updated at every timestep. In order to allow for general geometries a so-called background triangulation is used to carry all geographic information. At any given time the location of any given pedestrian is updated on this mesh. The results obtained to date show that the model performs well for standard benchmarks, and allows for typical crowd dynamics, such as lane forming, overtaking, avoidance of obstacles and panic behaviour.  相似文献

This paper deals with the estimation of pressure at collisions times during the movement of a dense crowd. Through the non-smooth contact dynamics approach for rigid and deformable solids, proposed by Frémond and his collaborators, the value of pressure and contact forces at collisions points, generated through congestion or panic situation are estimated. Firstly, we propose a second-order microscopic model, in which the crowd is treated as a system of rigid solids. Contact forces are rigorously defined by taking into account multiple simultaneous contacts and the non-overlapping condition between pedestrians. We show that for a dense crowd, percussions can be seen as contact forces. Secondly, in order to overcome the restrictive hypothesis related to the geometric form adapted to model the pedestrian, a continuous equivalent approach is proposed where the crowd is modeled as a deformable solid, the pressure is then defined by the divergence of the stress tensor and calculated according to volume and surface constraints. This approach makes it possible to retain an admissible right-velocity, including both the non-local interactions between non-neighbor pedestrians and the choice of displacement strategy of each pedestrian. Finally, the comparison between the two proposed approaches and some other existing approaches are presented on several illustrative examples to estimate the contact forces between pedestrians.  相似文献

Powder compaction of granular material plays a substantial role in the manufacturing process of ceramics industry and powder metallurgy industry. The compaction behaviour is ruled by granular flow and densification of deformable particles. Discrete element method (DEM) allows to investigate the powder compaction process numerically on the microscale by modeling the forces on the particle level and simulating the particle motion. Three-dimensional data about particle size distribution and spatial structure of the particle packing can be extracted from micro-computed tomography (µCT). An average stress tensor can be computed from DEM results, evaluating the contact forces and the distances from the particle center to the contact point with respect to an average cell volume. A weighted Voronoi tesselation of the polydisperse particle assembly is proposed for mapping a cell volume to each individual particle. With this approach all structural information of the particle system can be transferred from a discrete particle model to a heterogeneous volume model of micro-structure. Discrete stress distributions for uniaxial powder compaction are presented. (© 2017 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)  相似文献

Abstract

Two subgroups H and K of a group G are said to be totally permutable if every subgroup of H permutes with every subgroup of K. In this paper the behaviour of radicals and injectors associated to Fitting classes in a product of pairwise totally permutable finite groups is studied.  相似文献

In this work a physical modelling framework is presented, describing the intelligent, non-local, and anisotropic behaviour of pedestrians. Its phenomenological basics and constitutive elements are detailed, and a qualitative analysis is provided. Within this common framework, two first-order mathematical models, along with related numerical solution techniques, are derived. The models are oriented to specific real world applications: a one-dimensional model of crowd–structure interaction in footbridges and a two-dimensional model of pedestrian flow in an underground station with several obstacles and exits. The noticeable heterogeneity of the applications demonstrates the significance of the physical framework and its versatility in addressing different engineering problems. The results of the simulations point out the key role played by the physiological and psychological features of human perception on the overall crowd dynamics.  相似文献

It is known that if a group contains an abelian subgroup of finite index, then it also has an abelian characteristic subgroup of finite index. The aim of this paper is to prove that corresponding results hold when abelian subgroups are replaced either by subgroups having a modular subgroup lattice or by quasihamiltonian subgroups.  相似文献

The author continues the investigation of intersections of Hall subgroups in finite groups. Previously, the author proved that in the case when a Hall subgroup is Sylow there are three subgroups conjugate to it such that their intersection coincides with the maximal normal primary subgroup. A similar assertion holds for Hall subgroups in solvable groups. The aim of this paper is to construct examples of a (nonsolvable) group in which the intersection of any four subgroups conjugate to some Hall subgroup is nontrivial.  相似文献

The semidirect product of two groups is an important construction in group theory. In this paper we define the semidirect product of fuzzy subgroups and give conditions for it to be a fuzzy subgroup. This extends the work of H. Sherwood on direct products of fuzzy subgroups. We then give an example where a fuzzy subgroup of a semidirect product is a semidirect product of fuzzy subgroups.  相似文献

This paper gives necessary and sufficient conditions for subgroups with trivial core to be of odd depth. We show that a subgroup with trivial core is an odd depth subgroup if and only if certain induced modules from it are faithful. Algebraically this gives a combinatorial condition that has to be satisfied by the subgroups with trivial core in order to be subgroups of a given odd depth. The condition can be expressed as a certain matrix with {0, 1}-entries to have maximal rank. The entries of the matrix correspond to the sizes of the intersections of the subgroup with any of its conjugate.  相似文献

The structure of groups with finitely many non-normal subgroups is well known. In this paper, groups are investigated with finitely many conjugacy classes of non-normal subgroups with a given property. In particular, it is proved that a locally soluble group with finitely many non-trivial conjugacy classes of non-abelian subgroups has finite commutator subgroup. This result generalizes a theorem by Romalis and Sesekin on groups in which every non-abelian subgroup is normal.   相似文献

Model-based trees are used to find subgroups in data which differ with respect to model parameters. In some applications it is natural to keep some parameters fixed globally for all observations while asking if and how other parameters vary across subgroups. Existing implementations of model-based trees can only deal with the scenario where all parameters depend on the subgroups. We propose partially additive linear model trees (PALM trees) as an extension of (generalised) linear model trees (LM and GLM trees, respectively), in which the model parameters are specified a priori to be estimated either globally from all observations or locally from the observations within the subgroups determined by the tree. Simulations show that the method has high power for detecting subgroups in the presence of global effects and reliably recovers the true parameters. Furthermore, treatment–subgroup differences are detected in an empirical application of the method to data from a mathematics exam: the PALM tree is able to detect a small subgroup of students that had a disadvantage in an exam with two versions while adjusting for overall ability effects.

In this paper, we investigate the properties of normal fuzzy subgroups of a fuzzy group. We also introduce the notion of a characteristic fuzzy subgroup of a fuzzy group, of which we provide level subset and strong level subset characterizations. Then we prove that a characteristic fuzzy subgroup of a fuzzy group is a normal fuzzy subgroup. Besides we prove that the commutator subgroup generated by the commutator of two normal fuzzy subgroups of a fuzzy group is contained in their intersection. Finally, we construct many new lattices and sublattices of fuzzy subgroups and normal fuzzy subgroups of a given fuzzy group. We also construct lattices of characteristic fuzzy subgroups possessing sup-property.  相似文献

A single plant cell was modeled with smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) and a discrete element method (DEM) to study the basic micromechanics that govern the cellular structural deformations during drying. This two-dimensional particle-based model consists of two components: a cell fluid model and a cell wall model. The cell fluid was approximated to a highly viscous Newtonian fluid and modeled with SPH. The cell wall was treated as a stiff semi-permeable solid membrane with visco-elastic properties and modeled as a neo-Hookean solid material using a DEM. Compared to existing meshfree particle-based plant cell models, we have specifically introduced cell wall–fluid attraction forces and cell wall bending stiffness effects to address the critical shrinkage characteristics of the plant cells during drying. Also, a moisture domain-based novel approach was used to simulate drying mechanisms within the particle scheme. The model performance was found to be mainly influenced by the particle resolution, initial gap between the outermost fluid particles and wall particles and number of particles in the SPH influence domain. A higher order smoothing kernel was used with adaptive smoothing length to improve the stability and accuracy of the model. Cell deformations at different states of cell dryness were qualitatively and quantitatively compared with microscopic experimental findings on apple cells and a fairly good agreement was observed with some exceptions. The wall–fluid attraction forces and cell wall bending stiffness were found to be significantly improving the model predictions. A detailed sensitivity analysis was also done to further investigate the influence of wall–fluid attraction forces, cell wall bending stiffness, cell wall stiffness and the particle resolution. This novel meshfree based modeling approach is highly applicable for cellular level deformation studies of plant food materials during drying, which characterize large deformations.  相似文献

Constitutive modeling of cyclic relaxation and ratcheting (cumulative inelastic deformation) is developed on the basis of the distributed-element model (DEM). Although the original DEM is capable of describing general, elastic–plastic behavior for cyclically stabilized materials, it has the inadequacy of not being able to account for the effect of cyclic relaxation and ratcheting. By introducing the nonlinear kinematic hardening rule proposed by Armstrong and Frederick into element behavior of the DEM, the model becomes effective in characterizing the behavior of cyclic relaxation and ratcheting. Validation of the modified DEM is conducted by simulating cyclic behavior of various metal materials, including CS 1018, heat-treated rail steel, and Grade 60 steel. The results show that the modified DEM demonstrates realistic behavior of materials in both uniaxial and biaxial cyclic relaxation and ratcheting. Furthermore, detailed investigation of element behavior in the model provides us with additional insight into complex behavior and characteristics of materials in cyclic relaxation and ratcheting.  相似文献

From a microscopic point of view, various natural and engineering materials consist of individual grains, whose motion strongly influence the macroscopic material behaviour. Exemplarily, one may look at the development of shear zones in natural granular materials, such as sand, occurring as a result of local grain dislocations and the transition of the granulate from a denser to a looser packing. The intuitive modelling approach for granular assemblies is consequently the consideration of each grain as a rigid particle. In a numerical framework, this leads to the Discrete Element Method (DEM), wherein the motion of each particle can be obtained solving Newton's equations for each particle. The present contribution discusses the basic fundaments of modelling granular material on the microscopic scale by use of the DEM. Special interest is taken to the constitutive choice of the governing particle-to-particle contact forces, as they have to account for plastic material behaviour as well as for assumptions concerning particle shape, size and distribution. As engineering problems are regularly described on the macroscale by means of continuum mechanics, a homogenisation strategy transfers the information from the microscale towards continuum quantities via volume averaging. Therefore, characteristic Representative Elementary Volumes (REV) are constructed by an ensemble of particles, where each particle can be chosen as the centre of a REV. A subgroup $H$ of a group $G$ is said to be primitive if it is a proper subgroup of the intersection of all subgroups of $G$ containing $H$ as its proper subgroup. The purpose of this note is to go further into the influence of primitive subgroups on the structure of finite groups. Some new results are obtained.  相似文献
