We give a new presentation of the Drinfeld double E\boldsymbol{\mathcal {E}} of the (spherical) elliptic Hall algebra E+\boldsymbol{\mathcal{E}}^{+} introduced in our previous work (Burban and Schiffmann in Duke Math. J. preprint , 2005). This presentation is similar in spirit to Drinfeld’s ‘new realization’ of quantum affine algebras. This answers, in the case of elliptic curves, a question of Kapranov concerning functional relations satisfied by (principal, unramified) Eisenstein series for GL(n) over a function field. It also provides proofs of some recent conjectures of Feigin, Feigin, Jimbo, Miwa and Mukhin (, 2010).  相似文献

We study the Eisenstein series for a convex cocompact discrete subgroup on a two-dimensional complex hyperbolic space ℍ2. We find an inner product formula which gives the connection between Eisenstein series and automorphic Green functions on a two-dimensional complex hyperbolic space ℍ2. As an application of our inner product formula, we obtain the functional equations of Eisenstein series.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce some modular forms of half-integral weight on congruence group Гo(4N) withN an odd positive integer which can be viewed as a natural generalization of Cohen-Eisenstein series. Using these series, we can prove that the restriction of Shimura lifting on Eisenstein spaceE k+1/2 + (4Nl) gives an isomorphism fromE k+1/2 + (4Nl) toE 2k(N). We consider some congruence relationships between modular forms in use of Shimura lifting.  相似文献

We study certain vector valued Eisenstein series on the metaplectic cover of SL2(ℝ), which transform with the Weil representation associated with the discriminant group of an even lattice L. We find a closed formula for the Fourier coefficients in terms of Dirichlet L-series and representation numbers of L modulo “bad” primes. Such Eisenstein series naturally occur in the context of Borcherds' theory of automorphic products. We indicate some applications to modular forms on the orthogonal group of L with zeros on Heegner divisors. Received: 27 September 2001  相似文献

B.C. Berndt (J. Reine Angew. Math. 272:182–193, 1975; 304:332–365, 1978) has derived a number of new transformation formulas, in particular, the transformation formulae of the logarithms of the classical theta functions, by using a transformation formula for a more general class of Eisenstein series. In this paper, we continue his study. By using a transformation formula for a class of twisted generalized Eisenstein series, we generalize a transformation formula given by J. Lehner (Duke Math. J. 8:631–655, 1941) and give a new proof for transformation formulas proved by Y. Yang (Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 36:671–682, 2004). In this note we adopt the approach in Bonnit et al. (Czechoslov. Math. J. 60(2):527–539, 2010) to give a direct proof of some recent results in Haak and Le Merdy (Houst. J. Math., 2005) and Haak and Kunstmann (SIAM J. Control Optim. 45:2094–2118, 2007) which characterizes the L p -admissibility of type α depending on p of unbounded observation operators for bounded analytic semigroups.  相似文献

Tsuneo Arakawa formulated a theta lifting from elliptic cusp forms to automorphic forms on Sp(1,q) in his unpublished note, which was inspired by “Kudla lifting”, i.e. a theta lifting from elliptic modular forms to holomorphic automorphic forms on SU(1,q). We prove that the images of Arakawa’s theta lifting belong to the space of bounded automorphic forms generating quaternionic discrete series, which are non-holomorphic forms. In the appendix we provide the construction of Eisenstein series and Poincaré series generating such discrete series. The author was partially supported by JSPS Research Fellowships for Young Scientist for April 2002 to March 2005. The results of this paper were obtained in this period.  相似文献

We study the equation −Δu + u q = 0, q > 1, in a bounded C 2 domain Ω ⊂ ℝ N . A positive solution of the equation is moderate if it is dominated by a harmonic function and σ-moderate if it is the limit of an increasing sequence of moderate solutions. It is known that in the subcritical case, 1 < q <, q c = (N + 1)/(N − 1), every positive solution is σ-moderate [32]. More recently, Dynkin proved, by probabilistic methods, that this remains valid in the supercritical case for q ≤ 2, [15]. The question remained open for q > 2. In this paper, we prove that for all qq c , every positive solution is σ-moderate. We use purely analytic techniques, which apply to the full supercritical range. The main tools come from linear and non-linear potential theory. Combined with previous results, our result establishes a one-to-one correspondence between positive solutions and their boundary traces in the sense of [36].  相似文献

The general summation theorem for well-poised 5 F 4-series discovered by Dougall (Proc. Edinb. Math. Soc. 25:114–132, 1907) is shown to imply several infinite series of Ramanujan-type for 1/π and 1/π 2, including those due to Bauer (J. Reine Angew. Math. 56:101–121, 1859) and Glaisher (Q. J. Math. 37:173–198, 1905) as well as some recent ones by Levrie (Ramanujan J. 22:221–230, 2010).  相似文献

We present some exponential inequalities for positively associated unbounded random variables. By these inequalities, we obtain the rate of convergence n −1/2 β n log 3/2 n in which β n can be particularly taken as (log log n)1/σ with any σ>2 for the case of geometrically decreasing covariances, which is faster than the corresponding one n −1/2(log log n)1/2log 2 n obtained by Xing, Yang, and Liu in J. Inequal. Appl., doi: (2008) for the case mentioned above, and derive the convergence rate n −1/2 β n log 1/2 n for the above β n under the given covariance function, which improves the relevant one n −1/2(log log n)1/2log n obtained by Yang and Chen in Sci. China, Ser. A 49(1), 78–85 (2006) for associated uniformly bounded random variables. In addition, some moment inequalities are given to prove the main results, which extend and improve some known results.  相似文献

We consider the model of directed polymers in an i.i.d. Gaussian or bounded environment (Imbrie and Spencer in J. Stat. Phys. 52(3/4), 609–626, 1988; Carmona and Hu in Probab. Theory Relat. We study a necessary and sufficient condition for Jacobi integrals of weight -r+\fracj2-r+\frac{j}{2}, r∈ℤ≥0, and index ℳ(j) on ℋ×ℂ j to have a dual Jacobi form of weight r+\fracj2+2r+\frac{j}{2}+2 and index ℳ(j). Such a meromorphic Jacobi integral with a dual Jacobi form is called a mock Jacobi form whose concept was first introduced by Zagier in Séminaire Bourbaki, 60éme année, 2006–2007, N° 986. In fact, we show the map Lr+1M(j)L^{r+1}_{\mathcal{M}^{(j)}} from the space of mock Jacobi forms to that of Jacobi forms is surjective by constructing the corresponding inverse image via Eichler integral of vector valued modular forms which are coming from the theta decomposition of Jacobi forms. We discuss Lerch sums as a typical example.  相似文献

Given a function f defined on a bounded domain Ω⊂ℝ2 and a number N>0, we study the properties of the triangulation TN\mathcal{T}_{N} that minimizes the distance between f and its interpolation on the associated finite element space, over all triangulations of at most N elements. The error is studied in the norm X=L p for 1≤p≤∞, and we consider Lagrange finite elements of arbitrary polynomial degree m−1. We establish sharp asymptotic error estimates as N→+∞ when the optimal anisotropic triangulation is used, recovering the results on piecewise linear interpolation (Babenko et al. in East J. Approx. 12(1), 71–101, 2006; Babenko, submitted; Chen et al. in Math. Comput. 76, 179–204, 2007) and improving the results on higher degree interpolation (Cao in SIAM J. Numer. Anal. 45(6), 2368–2391, 2007, SIAM J. Sci. Comput. 29, 756–781, 2007, Math. Comput. 77, 265–286, 2008). These estimates involve invariant polynomials applied to the m-th order derivatives of f. In addition, our analysis also provides practical strategies for designing meshes such that the interpolation error satisfies the optimal estimate up to a fixed multiplicative constant. We partially extend our results to higher dimensions for finite elements on simplicial partitions of a domain Ω⊂ℝ d .  相似文献

For any α∈(0,2), a truncated symmetric α-stable process in ℝ d is a symmetric Lévy process in ℝ d with no diffusion part and with a Lévy density given by c|x|dα 1{|x|<1} for some constant c. In (Kim and Song in Math. Z. 256(1): 139–173, [2007]) we have studied the potential theory of truncated symmetric stable processes. Among other things, we proved that the boundary Harnack principle is valid for the positive harmonic functions of this process in any bounded convex domain and showed that the Martin boundary of any bounded convex domain with respect to this process is the same as the Euclidean boundary. However, for truncated symmetric stable processes, the boundary Harnack principle is not valid in non-convex domains. In this paper, we show that, for a large class of not necessarily convex bounded open sets in ℝ d called bounded roughly connected κ-fat open sets (including bounded non-convex κ-fat domains), the Martin boundary with respect to any truncated symmetric stable process is still the same as the Euclidean boundary. We also show that, for truncated symmetric stable processes a relative Fatou type theorem is true in bounded roughly connected κ-fat open sets. The research of P. We prove explicit formulas decomposing cusp forms of even weight for the modular group, in terms of generators having rational periods, and in terms of generators having rational Fourier coefficients. Using the Shimura correspondence, we also give a decomposition of Hecke cusp forms of half integral weight k+1/2 with k even in terms of forms with rational Fourier coefficients, given by Rankin–Cohen brackets of theta series with Eisenstein series.  相似文献

The j-function j(z) = q−1+ 744 + 196884q + ⋅s plays an important role in many problems. In [7], Zagier, presented an interesting series of functions obtained from the j-function: jm(ζ) = (j(ζ) – 744)∨T0(m), where T0(m) is the usual m′th normalized weight 0 Hecke operator. In [3], Bruinier et al. show how this series of functions can be used to describe all meromorphic modular forms on SL2(ℤ). The aim of this paper is to derive consequences of a result of G?tze and Zaitsev (2008). We show that the i.i.d. case of this result implies a multidimensional version of some results of Sakhanenko (1985). Nesterenko (Sb. Math. 187:1319–1348, [1996]) proved, among other results, the algebraic independence over ℚ of the numbers π and e π . A very important feature of his proof is a multiplicity estimate for quasi-modular forms associated to SL 2(ℤ) which involves differential properties of certain non-linear differential systems. The aim of this article is to begin the study of the corresponding properties for Hilbert modular and quasi-modular forms, especially those which are associated with the number field . We show that the differential structure of these functions has several analogies with the differential structure of the quasi-modular forms associated to SL 2(ℤ).   相似文献

We consider asymptotically flat Riemannian manifolds with non-negative scalar curvature that are conformal to \mathbbRn\ W, n 3 3{\mathbb{R}^{n}{\setminus} \Omega, n\ge 3}, and so that their boundary is a minimal hypersurface. (Here, W ì \mathbbRn{\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^{n}} is open bounded with smooth mean-convex boundary.) We prove that the ADM mass of any such manifold is bounded below by \frac12(V/bn)(n-2)/n{\frac{1}{2}\left(V/\beta_{n}\right)^{(n-2)/n}}, where V is the Euclidean volume of Ω and β n is the volume of the Euclidean unit n-ball. This gives a partial proof to a conjecture of Bray and Iga (Commun. Anal. Geom. 10:999–1016, 2002). Surprisingly, we do not require the boundary to be outermost.  相似文献

Simon [J. Approxim. Theory, 127, 39–60 (2004)] proved that the maximal operator σα,κ,* of the (C, α)-means of the Walsh–Kaczmarz–Fourier series is bounded from the martingale Hardy space H p to the space L p for p > 1 / (1 + α), 0 < α ≤ 1. Recently, Gát and Goginava have proved that this boundedness result does not hold if p ≤ 1 / (1 + α). However, in the endpoint case p = 1 / (1 + α ), the maximal operator σα,κ,* is bounded from the martingale Hardy space H 1/(1+α) to the space weak- L 1/(1+α). The main aim of this paper is to prove a stronger result, namely, that, for any 0 < p ≤ 1 / (1 + α), there exists a martingale fH p such that the maximal operator σα,κ,* f does not belong to the space L p .  相似文献
