为提高光栅光谱仪的波长扫描精度,设计了一套可对光栅转动情况进行实时反馈的系统结构,实现了仪器在高速和高精度扫描上的统一。在对反馈结构进行设计时,应用光栅尺测位移技术对正弦丝杆上的滑块进行位移反馈,由计算机对其进行接收和处理。对比实验显示,仪器本身波长扫描精度为 0.7 nm,加入反馈电路进行反馈后波长扫描精度可达 0.15 nm。结果表明,加入对光栅转动情况的反馈结构后,可使光栅光谱仪满足高精度扫描要求。  相似文献

为探究Bragg光栅结构对TM模反馈特性的影响,利用有限时域差分法对具有TM模的分布反馈(DFB)量子级联激光器Bragg光栅结构进行仿真研究。重点分析了侧向耦合光栅的光学特性以及光栅侧壁倾角对光栅反射谱、损耗的影响及原因,并探究了光栅刻蚀深度及占空比与TM模的耦合系数、损耗的关系。结果表明有效折射率是影响Bragg波长的主要因素,而光限制因子是不同周期的侧向耦合光栅结构耦合系数产生巨大差别的原因,当光栅侧壁倾角90°时镜面损耗最小。光栅周期、占空比、刻蚀深度与耦合系数的关系表明:这些参数不仅影响光栅的相对介电常数,也会对光限制因子产生作用,从而影响耦合系数的大小;耦合系数与刻蚀深度具有正比关系,大周期光栅耦合系数随占空比的变化率较小。对光栅光反馈特性的理论研究有利于提升对DFB量子级联激光器的认识,促进激光器性能的提升和发展。  相似文献

We present two diode laser setups that employ volume holographic transmission gratings to provide optical feedback. The advantage of this kind of grating is high diffraction efficiency and the possibility to place optical elements on both sides of the grating. This allows for advanced external cavities and adjustable feedback efficiency. The first setup is a diode laser in the Littman configuration with the transmission grating replacing the conventional reflection grating. The second setup improves the frequency selectivity by substituting the feedback mirror with a passive resonator. This grating-enhanced external cavity diode laser (GECDL) achieves excellent frequency stability. A prototype of the GECDL setup demonstrates an intrinsic linewidth of 7 kHz and an operation range that covers the full amplification profile of the laser diode.  相似文献

Based on a two-level model of optical transitions, the problem of positive and negative feedback effects during simultaneous reading and writing of dynamic holograms in photorefractive crystals has been solved analytically. The diffraction efficiency and the gain coefficient are shown to be nonlinear functions of the readout beam intensity and are nonreciprocal with respect to the readout from the two input ports. The readout beam intensity value that affects a previously recorded grating is shown to depend on microscopic parameters such as the cross-section of photoionization, the recombination coefficient and the concentration of photorefractive centres. An analysis of the amplitude of the overall shared grating has shown that with increasing readout beam intensity the holographic grating thickness decreases. In this case, under negative feedback the grating amplitude decreases, while with positive feedback it increases. The possibility is shown of achieving (under positive feedback) a maximum value of diffraction efficiency and complete energy transfer in a finite thickness of the photorefractive crystal, in contrast to the infinite thickness required in the standard two-beam coupling case.  相似文献

采用有机半导体发光材料聚[2-甲氧基-5-(2-乙基己氧基)-1,4-苯乙炔]作为增益介质,低官能度光敏单体制备的液晶/聚合物光栅作为外部反馈谐振腔,制备出参数可独立控制的分离式结构的有机半导体激光器.液晶/聚合物光栅中液晶分子的取向影响光栅折射率调制量,从而影响光栅的反馈能力,最终影响激光器出射激光的性能.通过研究发现决定液晶分子取向的主要有两种与光栅周期有关的作用力,利用这一原理制备不同周期的光栅,光栅周期小于450 nm时,相分离出的液晶分子取向由光栅矢量方向变为光栅沟槽方向,此时光栅的折射率调制量增加,光反馈能力增强.采用周期为395 nm的液晶/聚合物光栅制备二级布拉格散射的有机半导体激光器,相较于大周期光栅(593 nm)制备的激光器,激光阈值由0.70μJ/pulse降低至0.18μJ/pulse,转化效率由2.5%提高到6.4%,且出射激光垂直于基板表面发射,有利于后续的处理及应用.  相似文献

The properties of a frequency-shifted feedback (FSF) laser using a translated grating as the frequency-shifting element are investigated. FSF operation is attained by feedback of the first-order diffracted light from a grating coupler, which is translated in a direction perpendicular to the grating normal. A diode-pumped Nd:YVO(4) gain medium is used. Chirped-frequency components are periodically generated with a chirp rate of 1.8 THz / s. The unique spectral characteristics of this device are demonstrated with a Michelson interferometer and a heterodyne experiment.  相似文献

为满足半导体光放大器(SOA)在光纤到户FTTH系统接入网中的广泛应用,提出了基于光纤光栅外腔反馈型GC-SOA结构的全光增益机制,窄线宽激光光源经可变衰减器、隔离器和光纤光栅注入到SOA中,SOA的输出光经隔离器和光纤光栅送至光谱分析仪,通过光纤光栅反馈输入SOA形成钳制激光。对GC-SOA的阈值特性、增益特性及开关特性进行分析,结果表明:当注入电流小于GC-SOA的阈值电流时,增益随注入电流的增加而增加;当注入电流大于GC-SOA的阈值电流后,其增益不再随注入电流的变化而变化,实现了SOA的增益稳定,使SOA的饱和输出功率得到了提高。  相似文献

We summarize a novel integrated wavelength-stabilization scheme for broad stripe surface-emitting lasers. The method is based on two gratings fabricated on opposite sides of a device in which the first grating disperses light through the substrate to the opposite side, where the second surface has a feedback grating that operates under total internal reflection and in the Littrow condition to provide feedback into the gain medium. Experimental results have been obtained for both high power and a narrow linewidth, showing a CW slope of 0.85 W/A.  相似文献

We describe a comparative study related to an influence of a feedback coupling on operating characteristics of a cw Cr3+:LiSrAlF6 (Cr3+:LiSAF) laser using an end-coupled fiber grating with different coupling configurations. To achieve a compact construction, a direct butt-coupling of the fiber grating at the pump end of the Cr3+:LiSAF laser and pumping through the same fiber was considered. The feedback provided by the coupled fiber grating through an end mirror was responsible for a spectrally narrowed output with a slope efficiency of 11%. However, the performance critically depended on an amount of the feedback coupling. The feedback-coupling condition was improved considerably by using a lens-coupled fiber grating at the pump end of the Cr3+:LiSAF crystal. A spectrally narrowed output of ≈0.15 cm-1 was obtained, and the output slope efficiency was measured as 27%. Theoretical modeling was also performed to understand the effect of the feedback coupling and the results agreed well with the experimental observations. The effect of facet reflections and different grating parameters on side-mode suppression ratio in index-coupled distributed feedback lasers without a phase-shift section is analyzed. The effect of uncontrollable facet positions on side-mode suppression ratio is studied when the grating coupling coefficient, the grating filling factor, the grating order, the device length and the facet reflectivities are varied. The single-mode device yield and the facet reflectivities needed for achieving a high yield are evaluated, the reflectivity of the anti-reflection coated facet is optimized as a function of the coupling strength and the effect of facet reflections on the other laser characteristics is shown.  相似文献

采用DFB分布反馈结构的有机激光由于其自身优点备受关注,而利用高阶布拉格反馈的多光束有机激光及其原理鲜有报道。不同于以往的低阶布拉格反馈形成单波导或单光束激光,本文通过在平面有机半导体波导引入高阶布拉格反馈分别制备了红色和蓝色多束有机激光器。利用四阶布拉格反馈和PVK:DCJTI薄膜实现三光束红光激光器,出射角度为±53°和0.5°。利用五阶布拉格反馈和PS:DSA-ph薄膜实现四光束蓝光激光器,出射角度为±18°和±75°。融合平面波导与光栅耦合的机理,研究了高阶布拉格光栅反馈与器件特性之间的关系。结果表明,理论计算的光束耦合角度和实际测试相符,结果在一定程度上为多光束有机激光器件的设计提供了参考。  相似文献

结合理论和实验研究了掩埋光栅一级分布反馈太赫兹量子级联激光器中的模式竞争和功率特性。理论计算得到掩埋光栅腐蚀深度与两个带边模式的波导损耗、光学限制因子、辐射损耗以及辐射效率的关系。理论计算表明,掩埋光栅分布反馈结构可以通过改变腐蚀深度,保证激光器稳定单模工作在高频带边模式的同时,调节激光器的阈值增益以及辐射效率。实验和测试结果表明,激光器辐射波长和掩埋光栅的周期成正比,激光器可以在整个动力学范围内稳定单模工作。单模激光器的波长范围可覆盖86.2~91.7μm的范围,边模抑制比可达25 dB,最大输出功率为9.1 mW。该工作有助于高性能单模太赫兹激光器及锁相耦合激光器阵列的研制。  相似文献

A frequency-doubled laser diode system for generation of blue–UV light is described. The system is based on an external-cavity high-power laser diode with double feedback from the zeroth and the first orders of a diffraction grating. Light at 405 nm is generated in a single-pass configuration using periodically poled KTiOPO4. We show that the double grating feedback improves the second harmonic conversion efficiency by several orders of magnitude as compared to the freely running laser. The conversion efficiency may be improved further such that higher second-harmonic powers may be generated.  相似文献

We report the fabrication of distributed feedback lasers in Rhodamin 6G doped SU-8 by direct femtosecond laser writing. The devices are fabricated by point-by-point exposure and consist of a core layer with a low-order Bragg grating on the surface. A quarter-wavelength phase shift is introduced in the middle of the grating section to obtain single-mode emission. Lasing at different wavelengths is demonstrated by changing the grating pitch. Spectral emission, threshold and lifetime characterization is performed by pumping the laser with a pulsed, frequency double Nd:YAG laser.  相似文献

半导体激光器管芯与光纤光栅的对接耦合对光纤光栅外腔激光器的特性起到关键作用。利用散射矩阵分析了激光器管芯与光纤光栅外腔的对接耦合,发现对接的距离以及对接的耦合效率决定了光纤光栅外腔激光器的性能。在强反馈情况下,激射波长在光纤光栅外腔有效反射率决定的布喇格波长内随对接耦合距离周期性的变化,对弱反馈情况则有些不同。同时对比了两种情况的边模抑制比。该分析为实际制作器件提供了指导。  相似文献

The threshold current is analyzed for distributed feedback (DFB) and distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) semiconductor lasers with circular gratings. It is shown that in circular grating DFB lasers, the threshold current becomes minimum at a certain cavity radius, while in circular grating DBR lasers it increases monotonically as the active region radius increases.  相似文献

设计了一种离轴双反馈外腔能够有效地改善激光二极管阵列的线宽和光束质量。闪耀光栅和高反镜之间形成了一个共振腔。通过调整光栅和高反镜之间的倾角可以选定一个空间模在共振腔中放大。将一个半波片插入外腔中的光栅反馈支路,来控制反馈光的数量,激光从光栅反馈支路输出。运用这项技术,在工作电流16 A,可以把激光二极管阵列的输出线宽压缩到0.15 nm,光束束宽积减小到283 mm.mrad。由于光栅的锁定作用,中心波长几乎不随温度的变化而改变。在工作电流17A时,输出激光的功率为2.44 W,斜率效率为0.5 W/A。  相似文献

A novel method incorporating the shielded method and the post-processing method has been proposed to fabricate the π-phase-shifted fibre grating. Then an Er-doped π-phase-shifted distributed feedback fibre grating laser has been fabricated using the grating. The laser threshold is 20mW. When pumped with 90mW light at 980nm, the laser gives an output of 1.1mW. Its signal-to-noise ratio is better than 60dB. It is demonstrated that the laser is single mode operation by means of a Fabry--Perot scanning interferometer.  相似文献

In this letter, we demonstrate coherent beam combination of laser diode array using the external Talbot cavity with double feedback. The double feedback elements consist of grating and high-reflection plane mirror. Compared with single high-reflection plane mirror feedback, the external Talbot cavity with double feedback reduce the number of interference strips in the far-field pattern and narrow spectral line-width of the laser diode array. The results indicate that the application of the external Talbot cavity with double feedback produces a clear far-field interference pattern. In addition, line-width is reduced to 0.15 nm full-width at half-maximum (FWHM).  相似文献

This paper reports that the complex-coupled distributed feedback laser with the sampled grating has been designed and fabricated. The +1st order reflection of the sampled grating is utilized for laser single mode operation, which is 1.5387~μ m in the experiment. The typical threshold current of the device is 30~mA, and the optical output power is about 10~mW at the injection current of 100~mA.  相似文献
