Let X/Fp be an Artin–Schreier curve defined by the affine equation y p y=f(x) where f(x)Fp[x] is monic of degree d. In this paper we develop a method for estimating the first slope of the Newton polygon of X. Denote this first slope by NP1(X/Fp). We use our method to prove that if p>d2 then NP1(X/Fp)(p–1)/d/(p–1). We study the regularity of the minimizer u for the functional F (u,f)=|u|2 + |u–f{2 over all maps uH 1(, S 2). We prove that for some suitable functions f every minimizer u is smooth in if 0 and for the same functions f, u has singularities when is large enough.

In this paper we develop the theory of nets of curves in a regular Cr-2-surface En (r1, n2) using the concept Cs-net (of curves); the term diagonal nets of curves defined by W. BPLASCHKE [2] in E2 is generalized accordingly. A regular Cr-surface E3 (r2) of negative GAUSSian curvature is called a (Cr-)DSK-surface if its asymptotic lines (S-lines) and lines of curvature (K-lines) locally form a pair of diagonal nets. For the C3-DSK-surfaces a criterion is given and distinct categories are determined, in particular all those C3-DSK-surfaces in which the S- and K-lines can be arranged as (curvilinear) kites, respectively parallelograms and their diagonals.

We prove a local limit theorem (LLT) on Cramer-type large deviations for sums S V = t V ( t ), where t , t Z , 1, is a Markov Gaussian random field, V Z , and is a bounded Borel function. Over the past several decades, the optimization over the efficient set has seen a substantial development. The aim of this paper is to provide a state-of-the-art survey of the development. Given p linear criteria c 1x,,cp x and a feasible region X of R n, the linear multicriteria problem is to find a point x of X such that no point x' of X satisfies (c1 x',,cp x')(c1 x,,cp x) and (c1x',,cp x')q (c1 x ,,cp x). Such a point is called an efficient point. The optimization over the efficient set is the maximization of a given function over the set of efficient points. The difficulty of this problem is mainly due to the nonconvexity of this set. The existing algorithms for solving this problem could be classified into several groups such as adjacent vertex search algorithm, nonadjacent vertex search algorithm, branch-and-bound based algorithm, Lagrangian relaxation based algorithm, dual approach and bisection algorithm. In this paper we review a typical algorithm from each group and compare them from the computational point of view.  相似文献

This paper deals with positive solutions of degenerate and strongly coupled quasi-linear parabolic system not in divergence form: ut=vp(u+au), vt=uq (v+bv) with null Dirichlet boundary condition and positive initial condition, where p, q, a and b are all positive constants, and p, q 1. The local existence of positive classical solution is proved. Moreover, it will be proved that: (i) When min {a, b} 1 then there exists global positive classical solution, and all positive classical solutions can not blow up in finite time in the meaning of maximum norm (we can not prove the uniqueness result in general); (ii) When min {a, b} > 1, there is no global positive classical solution (we can not still prove the uniqueness result), if in addition the initial datum (u0v0) satisfies u0 + au0 0, v0+bv0 0 in , then the positive classical solution is unique and blows up in finite time, where 1 is the first eigenvalue of – in with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition.This project was supported by PRC grant NSFC 19831060 and 333 Project of JiangSu Province.  相似文献

Under Riemann's hypothesis, we prove the estimates 2(x)x1/7+, 3(x)x97/804+(>0), which improve those of Cao and Nowak. For the domains of the space R n ,n2, with a finite number of conical points, one proves embedding theorems for the spaces of harmonic functions which generalize the Littlewood-Paley and Carleson theorems. The pseudodifferential operators with symbols in the Grushin classes \~S inf0 sup, , 0 < 1, of slowly varying symbols are shown to form spectrally invariant unital Frécher-*-algebras (*-algebras) in L(L 2(R n )) and in L(H st ) for weighted Sobolev spaces H inf supst defined via a weight d function . In all cases, the Fredholm property of an operator can be characterized by uniform ellipticity of the symbol. This gives a converse to theorems of Grushin and Kumano-Ta-Taniguchi. Both, the spectrum and the Fredholm spectrum of an operator turn out to be independent of the choices of s, t and .The characterization of the Fredholm property by uniform ellipticity leads to an index theorem for the Fredholm operators in these classes, extending results of Fedosov and Hörmander.  相似文献

Let be a cuspidal automorphic representation of GL3( ), unramified at pand of cohomological type at infinity. We construct p-adic L-functions, which interpolate the critical values of L(,s) and which satisfy a logarithmic growth condition. We obtain these functions as p-adic Mellin transforms of certain distributions on p * having values in some fixed number field and which are of moderate growth.
