This paper provides a closed-form solution for the Eshelby’s elliptic inclusion in antiplane elasticity. In the formulation, the prescribed eigenstarins are not only for the uniform distribution, but also for the linear form. After using the complex variable and the conformal mapping, the continuation condition for the traction and displacement along the interface in the physical plane can be reduced to a condition along the unit circle. The relevant complex potentials defined in the inclusion and the matrix can be separated from the continuation conditions of the traction and displacement along the interface. The expressions of the real strains and stresses in the inclusion from the assumed eigenstrains are presented. Results for the case of linear distribution of eigenstrain are first obtained in the paper.  相似文献

Boundary value problems for Laplace’s equation are considered in a piecewise homogeneous plane divided into two zones by a strongly permeable crack or a weakly permeable screen in the form of a parabola. The desired potentials have prescribed singular points (sources, sinks, etc.). Formulas are derived expressing the potentials in terms of harmonic functions that have the given singular points and describe similar processes in a homogeneous plane.  相似文献

The exact analytical solution of a nonlinear plane-strain problem has been obtained for a plate with an elastic elliptic inclusion with constant stresses given at infinity. The mechanical properties of the plate and inclusion are described with the model of John’s harmonic material. In this model, stresses and displacements are expressed in terms of two analytical functions of a complex variable that are determined from nonlinear boundary-value problems. Assuming the tensor of nominal stresses to be constant inside the inclusion has made it possible to reduce the problem to solving two simpler problems for a plate with an elliptic hole. The validity of the adopted hypothesis has been justified by the fact that the derived solution exactly satisfies all the equations and boundary conditions of the problem. The existence of critical plate-compression loads that lead to the loss of stability of the material has been established. Two special nonlinear problems for a plate with a free elliptic hole and a plate with a rigid inclusion have been solved.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove Gårding’s weighted inequality for degenerate elliptic operators in an arbitrary (bounded or unbounded) domain of n-dimensional Euclidean space ? n and use this inequality to study the unique solvability of a specific variational problem. Convenient for immediate computer implementation equivalents of Green’s functions are obtained for boundary-contact value problems posed for two-dimensional Laplace and Klein-Gordon equations on some regions filled in with piecewise homogeneous isotropic conductive materials. Dirichlet, Neumann and Robin conditions are allowed on the outer boundary of a simply-connected region, while conditions of ideal contact are assumed on interface lines. The objective in this study is to widen the range of effective applicability for the Green’s function version of the boundary integral equation method making the latter usable for equations with piecewise-constant coefficients.  相似文献

The paper describes some modifications of Newton??s method for refining the zeros of even-grade f(x)-twined (f(x)-egt) polynomials, defined as polynomials whose roots appear in pairs {x i ,f(x i )}. Particular attention is given to even-grade palindromic (egp) polynomials. The algorithms are derived from certain symmetric division processes for computing a symmetric quotient and a symmetric remainder of two given f(x)-egt polynomials. Numerical results indicate that the presented algorithms can be more accurate than other methods which do not take into consideration the symmetry of the coefficients.  相似文献

We study a two-dimensional system of equations of linear elasticity theory in the case when the symmetric stress and strain tensors are related by an asymmetric matrix of elasticity moduli or elastic compliances. The linear relation between stresses and strains is written in an invariant form which contains three positive eigenmodules in the two-dimensional case. Using a special eigenbasis in the strain space, it is possible to write the constitutive equations with a symmetric matrix, i.e., in the same way as in the case of hyperelasticity. We obtain a representation of the general solution of two-dimensional equations in displacements as a linear combination of the first derivatives of two functions which satisfy two independent harmonic equations. The obtained representation directly implies a generalization of the Kolosov–Muskhelishvili representation of displacements and stresses in terms of two analytic functions of complex variable. We consider all admissible values of elastic parameters, including the case when the system of differential equations may become singular. We provide an example of solving the problem for a plane with a circular hole loaded by constant stresses.  相似文献
