Sum rules describing perfect screening at equilibrium in a classical plasma are extended to the time-displaced structure function of an inhomogeneous one-component plasma. We find that there are long-wavelength modes which oscillate undamped with a single frequency

being an angular average of the squared plasma frequency at infinity. Our results are derived heuristically, allowing also for quantum effects, from linear response theory, and rigorously from the classical BBGKY hierarchy under some reasonable assumptions on the spatial decay of correlations. Special cases are investigated, in particular plasmas bounded by walls of varied shapes.This laboratory is associated with the CNRS. 相似文献

The time-dependent correlations of a one-component plasma in a uniform magnetic field are studied with the help of kinetic theory. The time correlation functions of the particle density, the momentum density, and the kinetic energy density are evaluated for large time intervals. In the collision-dominated regime the results agree with those found from linearized magnetohydrodynamics. 相似文献

The time-dependent pair correlation function of a quantum mechanical onecomponent plasma bounded by a plane hard wall is studied near that wall. Along the wall, this function has an algebraic asymptotic form: it decays only as the inverse cube (square) of the distance for a three (two)-dimensional system (the case of fermions at zero temperature is excluded from the present study). The amplitude of the asymptotic form obeys a universal sum rule. Quasistatic magnetic fields generated by nonrelativistic intense linearly polarized (LP) and circularly polarized (CP) laser pulses in an initially uniform underdense plasma in the collision-dominated limit are investigated analytically. Using a selfconsistent analytical model, we perform a detailed derivation of quasistatic magnetic fields in the laser pulse envelope in the collision-dominated limit to obtain exact analytical expressions for magnetic fields and discuss the dependence of magnetic fields on laser and plasma parameters. Equations for quasistatic magnetic fields including both axial component Bz and the azimuthal one Bθ are derived simultaneously from such a selfconsistent model. The dependence of quasistatic magnetic field on incident laser intensity, transverse focused radius of laser pulse, electron density and electron temperature is discussed. 相似文献

We map the classical two-dimensional one-component plasma of charged particles with coupling constant an even positive integer onto a one-dimensional fermionic system. We then show that, in the thermodynamic limit of the fluid regime, translational invariance of the two-body density implies an infinite sequence of interrelations among the coefficients of its short-distance expansion. The existence of these sum rules turns out to be related to a general symmetry of the Coulomb system, providing a functional relation for the two-body density for arbitrary coupling . 相似文献

This paper studies the propagation and spatial attenuation of high‐frequency eigen‐symmetric and dipolar electromagnetic waves along a coaxial plasma–metal waveguiding structure that contains a slightly axial and strong radial non‐uniform cylindrical plasma slab in an external azimuthal non‐uniform magnetic field. The influence of such parameters as the effective electron collision frequency, the direct current value producing the external azimuthal magnetic field, parameters that characterize plasma density radial profile, and waveguide geometric parameters on the dispersion, spatial attenuation, and radial field structure of the waves is considered. The regions of waveguiding structure parameters where the electromagnetic wave properties can be effectively controlled are studied and analyzed. 相似文献

In this work, we present the investigation of the formation features and internal structure of dust clouds created in plasma of glow discharge in the external magnetic field corresponding to a range of moderate and strong fields, at which the ion component is magnetized. The analysis of the plasma magnetization in the presence of dust components is carried out. We defined the values of magnetic induction at which the changes in dynamics of plasma particles in magnetic field in light inert gases are expected. The experimental setup was built in two versions. For the purpose of generating of magnetic field, the first setup was equipped with ordinary magnetic coils, and the second one included a superconducting solenoid. The discharge tubes, the main chambers where plasma was ignited and maintained in a glow discharge in lowered pressure, also have certain peculiarities, which we describe below. While using helium as a bulk gas, our study focused only on the dust trap in the region of narrowing discharge current. For neon, we used two traps: the striation trap and one just mentioned above placed in the narrowing of the discharge tube. As a result, the steady dust structures in a glow discharge under the magnetization of ions and electrons were obtained for the first time. Dust structures were rotated and tended to form a dust cluster and shell structure. A number of parameters of magnetization achieved in experiments were calculated. 相似文献

分析了电磁波以任意角度入射到有限磁场中的激光等离子体通道天线(LPCA)时的电磁散射特性。根据LPCA的工作原理建立了其电磁分析模型,推导出广义柱坐标系下各向异性磁化等离子体中纵向分量所满足的波动方程和纵向场与横向场的关系,得到LPCA和周围媒质中的电磁场,利用边界切向电磁场连续,得出了散射系数方程。通过计算实例,将结果与文献结果比较,吻合较好。该研究结果预期可应用于高功率微波武器系统的研究。 相似文献

Measurements of the additional shift of the Hβ spectral line emitted by a plasma in a magnetic field are performed. The magnitudes
of the shift are distinguished by good reproducibility. The magnetic field strength was 0.5 and 2.1 T. Comparison is made
of the Hβ line profiles recorded in the presence of the magnetic field and without it, all other things being equal. Consideration
is given to a number of possible causes of the additional shift (they include the dependence of the shift on the density of
electrons, their temperature, and on the velocity of the plasma flux). The additional shift of the Hβ line in the presence
of the magnetic field is qualitatively substantiated.

First we show, from the BBGKY hierarchy and under exponential clustering assumption, that the three-dimensional one-component plasma obeys the compressibility sum rule which links the compressibility to the fourth moment of the two-point correlation function.
