Given a convergent sequence of Hamiltonians (Hn) and a convergent sequence of initial data (gn) for the first-order evolutionary Hamilton-Jacobi equation, we look for conditions ensuring that the sequences (un) and (vn) of Lax solutions and Hopf solutions respectively converge. The convergences we deal with are variational convergences. We take advantage of several recent results giving criteria for the continuity of usual operations.  相似文献

We consider the problem of stability of equilibrium points in Hamiltonian systems of two degrees of freedom under low order resonances. For resonances of order bigger than two there are several results giving stability conditions, in particular one based on the geometry of the phase flow and a set of invariants. In this paper we show that this geometric criterion is still valid for low order resonances, that is, resonances of order two and resonances of order one. This approach provides necessary stability conditions for both the semisimple and non-semisimple cases, with an appropriate choice of invariants.  相似文献

This paper studies the general nonautonomous single-species Kolmogorov systems with delays. Our investigation concerns the three-dimensional delayed continuous time dynamical system which models a predator-prey food chain. This model is based on the Holling-type II and a Leslie-Gower modified functional response. This model can be considered as a first step towards a tritrophic model (of Leslie-Gower and Holling-Tanner type) with inverse trophic relation and time delay. That is when a certain species that is usually eaten can consume immature predators. It is proved that the system is uniformly persistent under some appropriate conditions. By constructing a proper Lyapunov function, we obtain a sufficient condition for global stability of the positive equilibrium.  相似文献

We investigate the possible values for geometric genera of subvarieties in a smooth projective variety. Values which are not attained are called gaps. For curves on a very general surface in \({{\mathbb{P}}^3}\), the initial gap interval was found by Xu (see J Differ Geom 39:139–172, 1994) and the next one in our previous paper (Int Math Res Not 22:12177–12205, 2015), where also the finiteness of the set of gaps was established and an asymptotic upper bound of this set was found. In the present paper we extend some of these results to smooth projective varieties of arbitrary dimension using a different approach.  相似文献

We study circle-valued maps and consider the persistence of the homology of their fibers. The outcome is a finite collection of computable invariants which answer the basic questions on persistence and in addition encode the topology of the source space and its relevant subspaces. Unlike persistence of real-valued maps, circle-valued maps enjoy a different class of invariants called Jordan cells in addition to bar codes. We establish a relation between the homology of the source space and of its relevant subspaces with these invariants and provide a new algorithm to compute these invariants from an input matrix that encodes a circle-valued map on an input simplicial complex.  相似文献
