挠曲电效应是一种跨尺度的多场耦合现象。当前的宏观挠曲电理论均是基于应变梯度局部破坏晶体反演对称这一微观机理对该现象进行唯象描述。该宏观理论与基于晶格动力学及密度泛函理论的微观挠曲电理论模型之间存在较大差异。难以将两者结合用以跨尺度地研究材料中的挠曲电效应。针对该现状,本文基于前人提出的原子场理论,建立了一种新的多尺度挠曲电模型。并在该多尺度模型框架下解释了应变梯度诱发极化的微观机理。一方面,与基于连续介质力学的唯象理论不同,本文从材料微结构演化的角度推导了原子位移与极化的关系。另一方面,与通过晶格波假设原子位移的微观理论不同,本文得到的极化表达式更加真实和广义地解释了挠曲电效应。其能够适用于材料边界存在机械力作用,材料内部存在缺陷等复杂的情况。本文所建立的多尺度挠曲电模型能够为后续多尺度挠曲电效应的研究提供一些思路。  相似文献

This paper presents an efficient mathematical model for studying the buckling behavior of geometrically perfect elastic two-layer composite columns with interlayer slip between the layers. The present analytical model is based on the linearized stability theory and is capable of predicting exact critical buckling loads. Based on the parametric analysis, the critical buckling loads are compared to those in the literature. It is shown that the discrepancy between the different methods can be up to approximately 22%. In addition, a combined and an individual effect of pre-buckling shortening and transverse shear deformation on the critical buckling loads is studied in detail. A comprehensive parametric analysis reveals that generally the effect of pre-buckling shortening can be neglected, while, on the other hand, the effect of transverse shear deformation can be significant. This effect can be up to 20% for timber composite columns, 40% for composite columns very flexible in shear (pyrolytic graphite), while for metal composite columns it is insignificant.  相似文献

The effect of divergent terms in the Frank orientation energy of nematic liquid crystals on the equilibrium state of the director field is studied. Such terms have no effect on the equations of motion or on the equilibrium of the medium under consideration; however, they should be taken into account in the derivation of boundary conditions. It is shown that, in the case of boundary perturbations or in the case of polar orientation angle perturbations, the divergent terms can be considered as a surface energy for the azimuth angle (this energy is similar to the Rapini-Papoular energy). In addition, these terms may cause a deviation of the director in the plane parallel to the boundary. The equilibrium problem for a nematic liquid crystal is considered as an example in the case of small periodic boundary perturbations.  相似文献

The effect of micron-sized hydrophobic calcium carbonate particles on the stabilization of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)/polyisobutylene (PIB) immiscible model blends is investigated in this study. The analytical splitting of bulk and liquid–liquid interface contributions from the droplet bridging one is successfully performed due to the negligible contribution of hydrophobic microparticles to the bulk rheology of phases. The presence of particles at the fluid–fluid interface is supported by wetting parameter calculation and verified by optical microscopy observations. Moreover, direct visualizations shows that particles are able to form clusters of droplets by simultaneously adsorbing at two fluid–fluid interfaces and glue-dispersed droplets together, probably due to the patchy interactions induced by heterogeneous distribution of particles along the interface. Rheological studies show that the flow-induced coalescence is slowed down upon addition of particles and almost suppressed with the addition of 4 wt% particles. The linear viscoelastic response is modeled to estimate interfacial tension by considering the contribution of particle-induced droplet aggregation in addition to bulk and droplet deformation ones. From linear and nonlinear viscoelastic responses, the improved stability of filled polymer blends is attributed to the interfacial rheology and/or the bridged structure of droplets, even though the interfacial area is not fully covered by particles. Furthermore, Doi–Ohta scaling relations are investigated by employing stress growth response upon step-up of shear flow.  相似文献

通过金相分析、扫描电子显微镜分析和透射电子显微镜分析,以及在无润滑条件下的摩擦磨损对比试验研究,考察了稀土氧化物CeO2添加量对(Fe,Cr,Ni,W,Mo)80(B,Si,C)20铁基非晶自熔合金粉末喷涂-激光重熔涂敷层的显微组织和摩擦磨损性能的影响.研究结果表明,在给定的试验条件下,稀土氧化物CeO2的添加量(以质量分数计)为8%的改性效果比其添加量分别为4%和12%的改性效果都好,可以明显改善激光涂敷层的显微组织,提高涂敷层的显微硬度,而且此时涂敷层的摩擦学性能最好.  相似文献

Summary A technique is presented for simulating simply supported boundary conditions in axial cylinder buckling experiments. An internal mandrel is employed. The geometric and material constants of the mandrel can be carefully selected allowing it to expand, through a Poisson effect, at the same rate as the shell. The mandrel provides an expansion mechanism for the edges of the shell which allows the shell's generators to remain straight until buckling occurs. In addition, the mandrel can also be used to limit buckle deformations to the elastic region.  相似文献

通过分析研究爆炸焊接基复板间隙中的气体运动,建立了冲击波传播的理论模型,通过理论分析和计算说明了基复板间存在气体冲击波管道效应。管道效应使复合板尾部在爆炸焊接形成前发生上翘,造成板尾部焊接能量偏大,或使尾部炸药压死,是工程中长大复合板尾部焊接质量降低或失效的主要原因。还通过建立简化模型,分析了复合板宽度、各种保护性气体和粗真空对管道效应的影响,说明了选择爆炸焊接保护气体的原则,进而使用氦气保护进行了钛钢、铝镁爆炸焊接实验验证,为气体保护爆炸焊接、真空爆炸焊接技术的进一步开发研究奠定了理论基础。  相似文献

An Eulerian hydrocode was used to simulate the dynamic void collapse in OFHC copper, modeled with the Johnson–Cook (Johnson, G.R., Cook, W.H., 1985. Engineering Fracture Mechanics 21(1), 31) material model and the Cruneisen equation of state, to study hot spot formation and jetting. The computational techniques were first validated by a comparison to a series of two-dimensional experiments. The effect of the planar and axisymmetric geometries on the hot spot temperature and jet velocity in circular voids is explored. In addition, the effect of the apex angle in triangular voids on jetting and hot spot formation is studied. An effective apex angle for the highly nonspherical voids formed in closely packed circular particles is calculated.  相似文献

Contributions of barodiffusion and thermodiffusion to separation of a methane–helium mixture are calculated with the use of a laser-induced interferential lattice with a non-resonant frequency. The process of separation is studied by the direct simulation Monte Carlo method of rarefied gas flows, which can be considered as a numerical method of the stochastic solution of the Boltzmann equation. An analysis of modeling results shows that barodiffusion arising under optical radiation owing to the influence of ponderomotive forces on the species of the gas mixture exerts a significant effect during separation of the gas mixture by means of optical trapping, in addition to the selective action of the lattice. The effect of thermodiffusion caused by heating of the mixture by the optical lattice is found to be significant only in peripheral areas of the lattice.  相似文献

The onset of steady, cellular convection in a horizontal fluid layer heated from below is considered taking into account the possibility of radiative heat transfer in addition to conduction and convection. The radiation is found to have a stabilizing effect even in the presence of surface tension. The effect of surface viscosity and surface deflexion are also discussed. The coupling between the surface tension and buoyancy becomes weaker as the radiative heat transfer rate is increased.  相似文献

The nonlinear dynamics of supported pipes conveying fluid subjected to vortex-induced vibration is evaluated using the method of multiple scales. Frequency response portraits for different internal fluid velocities under lock-in conditions are obtained and the stability of steady-state responses is discussed. Results show that the internal fluid velocity has a prominent effect on the oscillation amplitude and that the steady-state responses incorporating unstable solutions in the lock-in region are also obtained. In addition, the effects of two kinds of fluctuating lift coefficients on the steady-state responses are compared with each other.  相似文献

本文基于超磁致伸缩材料非线性本构,从基本的控制方程出发,对层状柱壳磁电复合材料的非线性磁电响应进行理论研究,讨论了不同边界下磁场频率以及压电材料厚度比对磁电系数的影响,并得到了不同预压力下磁场大小对于磁电系数的影响。数值计算结果显示,对于Tefernol-D/PZT-5层状磁电复合材料,随着预压力值增大,磁电系数最大值减小,取得最大值时对应的磁场值逐渐增大;不同边界条件、磁场频率和磁场大小下,材料厚度比对磁电系数的也有着不同的影响。特别地当外加磁场频率较大时,相应于压电层厚度比,磁电系数呈现多极值现象。  相似文献

The flow development and structural loading characteristics of cylinders with equispaced circular fins were studied experimentally for a range of fin pitches with constant fin thickness and diameter. The experiments were performed for a range of Reynolds numbers, corresponding to the shear layer transition turbulent shedding regime. Time-resolved planar Particle Image Velocimetry and direct mean drag and fluctuating lift measurements are employed to relate spatio-temporal flow development to structural loading. The results show that wake development is dominated by vortex shedding for all the cases examined. However, the fin pitch ratio has a significant effect on vortex shedding characteristics. The addition of fins increases the characteristic spatial and temporal scales of the main spanwise vortices forming in the near wake. As the fin pitch is decreased to a critical value, the coalescence of boundary layers between the adjacent fins leads to a significant enlargement of the vortex formation region. A modified vortex shedding frequency scaling is proposed, based on the effective diameter, that incorporates a Reynolds number dependence associated with the lateral boundary layers developing on the fin surfaces. A detailed analysis is conducted to characterize the strength of the vortical structures forming in the near wake. The addition of the fins is shown to produce a stabilizing effect on the roll-up process, associated with a reduction in the generation of smaller scale, three-dimensional structures. The results demonstrate that the addition of fins leads to an increase in the mean drag, which is driven primarily by the associated increase in skin friction. The significant effect of the fin pitch ratio on the characteristics of the shed vortices as well as the size of the vortex formation region is shown to lead to substantial variations in the fluctuating loads.  相似文献

It is essential to model the Bauschinger effect correctly for sheet metal forming process simulation and subsequent springback prediction when material points are subjected to cyclic loading conditions. The combined nonlinear hardening model for time independent cyclic plasticity, proposed by Chaboche and co-workers, is examined and a simple modification is suggested for the isotropic part of the hardening rule to utilize the conventional tensile test data directly. This modification is useful for the materials whose reverse loading curves saturate to the monotonic loading curve. In addition, an anisotropic nonlinear kinematic hardening model (ANK model) is proposed in an attempt to represent the Bauschinger effect more realistically. Possible offset in flow stress is modeled by treating the back stress evolution during reverse loading differently from the initial loading. This strategy coupled with the modified isotropic hardening rule seems to provide a way to model the Bauschinger effect consistently over multiple cycles. Two types of auto-body alloys are examined in this paper. Associated material parameters are determined by employing available tension-compression test data and multi-cycle bend test data. A developed finite element formulation is applied to analyze simple validation type of problems. The cyclic stress–strain curves generated from the proposed ANK model match remarkably well with measured data.  相似文献

Summary Thomas andWalters (9, 2, 3) have recently shown that for a certain elastico-viscous liquid, the presence of elasticity has a destabilizing effect on the flow. The problem is reconsidered in the present paper for another idealized elastico-viscous liquid which is as simple as that considered byThomas andWalters. It is shown that in this case, the presence of elasticity has a stabilizing influence. It is concluded that a stability experiment would be a useful addition to the experiments usually set up to characterise elastico-viscous liquids.  相似文献

In this paper, a new lattice hydrodynamic model for bidirectional pedestrian flow is proposed by considering the pedestrian’s visual field effect. The stability condition of this model is obtained by the linear stability analysis. The mKdV equation near the critical point is derived to describe the density wave of pedestrian jam by applying the reductive perturbation method. The phase diagram indicates that the phase transition occurs among the freely moving phase, the coexisting phase, and the uniformly congested phase below the critical point \(a_c\) . Furthermore, the analytical results show that the visual field effect plays an important role in jamming transition. To take into account the visual information about the motion of more pedestrian in front can improve efficiently the stability of pedestrian system. In addition, the numerical simulations are in accordance with the theoretical analysis.  相似文献
