In this paper, we introduce a new class of smoothing functions, which include some popular smoothing complementarity functions. We show that the new smoothing functions possess a system of favorite properties. The existence and continuity of a smooth path for solving the nonlinear complementarity problem (NCP) with a P 0 function are discussed. The Jacobian consistency of this class of smoothing functions is analyzed. Based on the new smoothing functions, we investigate a smoothing Newton algorithm for the NCP and discuss its global and local superlinear convergence. Some preliminary numerical results are reported. 相似文献

The subject of this paper is theoretical analysis and numerical verification of delta shock wave existence for pressureless gas dynamic system. The existence of overcompressive delta shock wave solution in the framework of Colombeau generalized functions is proved. This result is verified numerically by specially designed procedure that is based on wave propagation method implemented in CLAWPACK. The method is coupled with dynamic refinement mesh. We also consider a strictly hyperbolic system obtained from the original one by perturbation and change of variables. The same numerical procedure is applied to the perturbed problem. The obtained numerical results in both cases confirm theoretical expectations. 相似文献

We study the two-dimensional pressure-gradient system, a subsystem of the two-dimensional compressible Euler system. We consider the problem of interaction of four rarefaction waves which is one case of two-dimensional Riemann problems. It is known that, when two planar waves interact, there exists a smooth solution in the interaction region. In this paper, we establish the existence of a smooth solution in the hyperbolic domain of determinacy, in which we encounter the interaction of simple and planar waves and shock prevention in simple waves. 相似文献

AbstractIn this paper, we extend the numerical embedding method for solving the smooth equations to the nonlinear complementarity problem. By using the nonsmooth theory, we prove the existence and the continuation of the following path for the corresponding homotopy equations. Therefore the basic theory of the numerical embedding method for solving the nonlinear complementarity problem is established. In this paper we consider the unperturbatcd and perturbated Riemann problem for the damped quasiliuear hyperbolic system {v_t - u_x = 0 u_t + p(v)_x = -αu, α > 0, p'(v} < 0 with initial structure of two rarefaction waves or one rarefaction wave plus one shock wave. Under certain restrictions, it admits a unique global discontinuous solution in a class of piecewise continuous and piecewise smooth functions and keeps the initial structure. Our goal in this work is to establish the existence and the uniqueness of a smooth solution to what we call in this paper the corner problem, that is to say, the wave equation together with absorbing conditions at two orthogonal boundaries. First we set the existence of a very smooth solution to this initial boundary value problem. Then we show the decay in time of energies of high order--higher than the order of the boundary conditions. This result shows that the corner problem is strongly well-posed in spaces smaller than in the half-plane case. Finally, specific corner conditions are derived to select the smooth solution among less regular solutions. These conditions are required to derive complete numerical schemes.

The variational inequality problem with set-valued mappings is very useful in economics and nonsmooth optimization. In this paper, we study the existence of solutions and the formulation of solution methods for vector variational inequalities (VVI) with set-valued mappings. We introduce gap functions and establish necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a solution of the VVI. It is shown that the optimization problem formulated by using gap functions can be transformed into a semi-infinite programming problem. We investigate also the existence of a solution for the generalized VVI with a set-valued mapping by virtue of the existence of a solution of the VVI with a single-valued function and a continuous selection theorem. 相似文献

In this paper, examples of type II Sarkisov links between smooth complex projective Fano threefolds with Picard number one are provided. To show examples of these links, we study smooth weak Fano threefolds X with Picard number two and with a divisorial extremal ray. We assume that the pluri-anticanonical morphism of X contracts only a finite number of curves. The numerical classification of these particular smooth weak Fano threefolds is completed and the geometric existence of some numerical cases is proven. 相似文献

In this paper we introduce the multi-phase version of the so-called Quadrature Domains (QD), which refers to a generalized type of mean value property for harmonic functions. The well-established and developed theory of one-phase QD was recently generalized to a two-phase version, by one of the current authors (in collaboration). Here we introduce the concept of the multi-phase version of the problem, and prove existence as well as several properties of such solutions. Our aims of this paper are twofold: On one hand, we study the asymptotic stability in probability of stochastic differential system, when both the drift and diffusion terms are affine in the control. We derive sufficient conditions for the existence of control Lyapunov functions (CLFs) leading to the existence of stabilizing feedback laws which are smooth, except possibly at the equilibrium state. On the other hand, we consider the previous systems with an unknown constant parameters in the drift and introduce the concept of an adaptive CLF for stochastic system and use the stochastic version of Florchinger's control law to design an adaptive controller. In this framework, the problem of adaptive stabilization of nonlinear stochastic system is reduced to the problem of non-adaptive stabilization of a modified system. 相似文献

In Part I of this paper, we proposed a well-posed generalized model for signal enhancement and restoration based on shock filters. A theoretical study of the Cauchy problem in the framework of generalized functions algebra was developed in detail. In Part II, we investigate the numerical aspects of the model. We derive an efficient, explicit numerical scheme in both one and two dimensions, and investigate the schemes' stability and convergence. Through experimental tests, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the numerical schemes when restoring and enhancing signals in various situations with a limited number of iterations. In this paper we study necessary optimality conditions for nonsmooth optimization problems with equality, inequality and abstract set constraints. We derive the enhanced Fritz John condition which contains some new information even in the smooth case than the classical enhanced Fritz John condition. From this enhanced Fritz John condition we derive the enhanced Karush–Kuhn–Tucker condition and introduce the associated pseudonormality and quasinormality condition. We prove that either pseudonormality or quasinormality with regularity on the constraint functions and the set constraint implies the existence of a local error bound. Finally we give a tighter upper estimate for the Fréchet subdifferential and the limiting subdifferential of the value function in terms of quasinormal multipliers which is usually a smaller set than the set of classical normal multipliers. In particular we show that the value function of a perturbed problem is Lipschitz continuous under the perturbed quasinormality condition which is much weaker than the classical normality condition. 相似文献

Abstract In this paper we study the welldefinedness of the central path associated to a nonlinear convex semidefinite programming problem with smooth objective and constraint functions. Under standard assumptions, we prove that the existence of the central path is equivalent to the nonemptiness and boundedness of the optimal set. Other equivalent conditions are given, such as the existence of a strictly dual feasible point or the existence of a single central point. The monotonic behavior of the primal and dual logarithmic barriers and of the primal and dual objective functions along the trajectory is also discussed. The existence and optimality of cluster points is established and finally, under the additional assumption of analyticity of the data functions, the convergence of the primal-dual trajectory is proved. 相似文献
