A chord is a straight line joining two points of a pair of hypersurfaces in an affine space such that the tangent hyperplanes at these points are parallel. We classify the singularities of envelopes of the families of chords determined by generic pairs of plane curves and surfaces in three-space. The list contains all bifurcation diagrams of simple boundary singularities (of the corresponding multiplicity).  相似文献

We prove the existence of an infinite family of complete spacelike maximal surfaces with singularities in Lorentz-Minkowski three-space and study their properties. These surfaces are distinguished by their number of handles and have two elliptic catenoidal ends.

We extend an original idea of Calabi for affine maximal surfaces and define a sextic holomorphic differential form for affine surfaces with constant affine mean curvature. In this paper, we investigate the affine vector fields on both compact and forward complete Finsler manifolds. We first give definitions of the affine transformation and the affine vector field. Unexpectedly, we find two kinds of affine fields, which are named as the strongly and weakly affine vector fields. Based on these definitions, we prove some rigidity theorems of affine fields on compact and forward complete Finsler manifolds.  相似文献

In this paper we classify in a global way the umbilical affine definite surfaces in R4 with respect to the Nomizu-Vrancken affine normalization introduced in [NV]. The bifurcations of so-called affine equidistants for a surface in three-space are classified and described geometrically. An affine equidistant is formed by the points dividing in a given ratio the segment with the endpoints lying on a given surface provided that the tangent planes to the surface at these endpoints are parallel. The most interesting case corresponds to segments near parabolic lines. All singularities turn out to be stable and simple.  相似文献

We give a classification of affine rotational surfaces in affine 3-space with vanishing affine Gauss-Kronecker curvature. Non-degenerated surfaces in three dimensional affine space with affine rotational symmetry have been studied by a number of authors (I.C. Lee. [3], P. Lehebel [4], P.A. Schirokow [10], B. Su [12], W. Süss [13]). In the present paper we study these surfaces with the additional property of vanishing affine Gauss-Kronecker curvature, that means the determinant of the affine shape operator is zero. We give a complete classification of these surfaces, which are the affine analogues to the cylinders and cones of rotation in euclidean geometry. These surfaces are examples of surfaces with diagonalizable rank one (affine) shape operator (cf. B. Opozda [8] and B. Opozda, T. Sasaki [7]). The affine normal images are curves.  相似文献

Our main goal is the classification of the complete affine maximal maps with one or two embedded regular ends. We give a complete list of affine minimal surfaces inA 3 with Euclidean rotational symmetry, completing the treatise given in [1] and prove that these surfaces have maximal affine surface area within the class of all affine surfaces of rotation satisfying suitable boundary conditions. Besides we show that for rotationally symmetric locally strongly convex affine minimal hypersurfaces inA n ,n4, the second variation of the affine surface area is negative definite under certain conditions on the meridian.  相似文献

The objective of this paper is to introduce an innovative approach for constructing effective algorithms for removing gaps between parametric NURBS surfaces in three-space, while maintaining geometrical smoothness for the combined (or compound) surface. Similar to the degenerate case of tensor-product B-spline surfaces, if the underlying knot sequences along the connecting boundaries of two NURBS surfaces are proportional, then the parametric surfaces can be connected in a G1 fashion. This approach can be easily extended to connecting three or four parametric NURBS surfaces. We will demonstrate the feasibility of our approach by focusing on the C1 bicubic setting with knot sequences being equally-spaced and having double interior knots. The aim of this paper is to show a way to find an explicit parametrization of rational isotropic congruences of lines in Euclidean three-space It will be shown that also the focal surfaces of these congruences admit a rational parametrization. Furthermore, the close relation of isotropic congruences of lines to minimal surfaces will be used to find the related polynomial minimal surfaces.  相似文献

We discuss with equiaffine methods the surfaces of translation with plane generating curves in the three-dimensional affine space. Using (pseudo-) isothermic parameters we determine in this class all the affine minimal surfaces (which include the affine spheres, the quadrics and the ruled surfaces), all the surfaces with vanishing affine Gauss curvature (which include the surfaces with constant non vanishing affine mean curvature), and all the surfaces with only one family of affine lines of curvature.  相似文献

Surfaces in Euclidean three-space with constant ratio of mean curvature to Gauss curvature arise naturally as the parallel surfaces to minimal surfaces. They might possess singularities which occur naturally as focal points of minimal surfaces. We study geometric properties and the singularities of such surfaces, prove some global results about them, and provide a Björling formula to construct such surfaces with prescribed point or curve singularities.  相似文献

本文利用例外簇方法研究非强制混合向量变分不等式的弱有效解的存在性:首先证明若混合向量变分不等式问题不存在例外簇,则混合向量变分不等式问题的弱有效解集为非空集合:利用向量值映射的渐近映射给出自反Banach空间中非强制混合向量变分不等式的弱有效解集不存在例外簇的充分条件,从而得到混合向量变分不等式问题的弱有效解的存在性结果;我们研究了当算子为余正仿射算子时,给出混合仿射向量变分不等式不存在例外簇的充分条件,得到混合仿射向量变分不等式弱有效解的存在性,给出了混合仿射向量变分不等式的弱有效解集为非空紧致集的充分条件.将Iusem等人(2019)在有限维空间中标量混合变分不等式解的存在性结果推广到自反Banach空间中混合向量变分不等式.  相似文献
