Let B(H) be the C*-algebra of all bounded linear operators on a complex Hilbert space H. It is proved that an additive surjective map φ on B(H) preserving the star partial order in both directions if and only if one of the following assertions holds.(1) There exist a nonzero complex number α and two unitary operators U and V on H such that φ(X) = αUXV or φ(X) = αUX*V for all X ∈ B(H).(2)There exist a nonzero α and two anti-unitary operators U and V on H such thatφ(X) = αUXV or φ(X) = αUX*V for all X ∈ B(H).  相似文献

The authors study the finite decomposition complexity of metric spaces of H, equipped with different metrics, where H is a subgroup of the linear group GL(ℤ). It is proved that there is an injective Lipschitz map φ: (F, d S ) → (H, d), where F is the Thompson’s group, dS the word-metric of F with respect to the finite generating set S and d a metric of H. But it is not a proper map. Meanwhile, it is proved that φ: (F, d S ) → (H, d 1) is not a Lipschitz map, where d 1 is another metric of H.  相似文献

In this paper,we use the L(o)wner partial order and the star partial order to introduce a new partial order (denoted by "L*") on the set of group matrices,and get some characteristics and properties of the new partial order.In particular,we prove that the L* partial order is a special kind of the core par-tial order and it is equivalent to the star partial order under some conditions.We also illustrate its difference from other partial orders with examples and find out under what conditions it is equivalent to other partial orders.  相似文献

Some effective expression is obtained for the elements of an admissible set \(\mathbb{H}\mathbb{Y}\mathbb{P}(\mathfrak{M})\) as template sets. We prove the Σ-reducibility of \(\mathbb{H}\mathbb{Y}\mathbb{P}(\mathfrak{M})\) to \(\mathbb{H}\mathbb{F}(\mathfrak{M})\) for each recursively saturated model \(\mathfrak{M}\) of a regular theory, give a criterion for uniformization in \(\mathbb{H}\mathbb{Y}\mathbb{P}(\mathfrak{M})\) for each recursively saturated model \(\mathfrak{M}\), and establish uniformization in \(\mathbb{H}\mathbb{Y}\mathbb{P}(\mathfrak{N})\) and \(\mathbb{H}\mathbb{Y}\mathbb{P}(\Re ')\), where \(\mathfrak{N}\) and \(\Re '\) are recursively saturated models of arithmetic and real closed fields. We also prove the absence of uniformization in \(\mathbb{H}\mathbb{F}(\mathfrak{M})\) and \(\mathbb{H}\mathbb{Y}\mathbb{P}(\mathfrak{M})\) for each countably saturated model \(\mathfrak{M}\) of an uncountably categorical theory, and give an example of this type of theory with definable Skolem functions. Furthermore, some example is given of a model of a regular theory with Σ-definable Skolem functions, but lacking definable Skolem functions in every extension by finitely many constants.  相似文献

Motivated by applications in financial mathematics, Ref. 3 showed that, although fails to be locally convex, an analogue to the classical bipolar theorem can be obtained for subsets of : if we place this space in polarity with itself, the bipolar of a set of non-negative random variables is equal to its closed (in probability), solid, convex hull. This result was extended by Ref. 1 in the multidimensional case, replacing by a closed convex cone K of [0, )d, and by Ref. 12 who provided a conditional version in the unidimensional case. In this paper, we show that the conditional bipolar theorem of Ref. 12 can be extended to the multidimensional case. Using a decomposition result obtained in Ref. 3 and Ref. 1, we also remove the boundedness assumption of Ref. 12 in the one dimensional case and provide less restrictive assumptions in the multidimensional case. These assumptions are completely removed in the case of polyhedral cones K.  相似文献

Summary. We develop a data-sparse and accurate approximation to parabolic solution operators in the case of a rather general elliptic part given by a strongly P-positive operator [4]. In the preceding papers [12]–[17], a class of matrices (-matrices) has been analysed which are data-sparse and allow an approximate matrix arithmetic with almost linear complexity. In particular, the matrix-vector/matrix-matrix product with such matrices as well as the computation of the inverse have linear-logarithmic cost. In the present paper, we apply the -matrix techniques to approximate the exponent of an elliptic operator. Starting with the Dunford-Cauchy representation for the operator exponent, we then discretise the integral by the exponentially convergent quadrature rule involving a short sum of resolvents. The latter are approximated by the -matrices. Our algorithm inherits a two-level parallelism with respect to both the computation of resolvents and the treatment of different time values. In the case of smooth data (coefficients, boundaries), we prove the linear-logarithmic complexity of the method. This paper deals with H-stability of Runge-Kutta methods with variable stepsize for the system of pantograph equations. In this paper we consider the Heckman-Opdam-Jacobi operator $∆_{HJ}$ on $\mathbb{R}^{d+1}.$ We define the Heckman-Opdam-Jacobi intertwining operator $V_{HJ},$ which turns out to be the transmutation operator between $∆_{HJ}$ and the Laplacian $∆_{d+1}.$ Next we construct $^tV_{HJ}$ the dual of this intertwining operator. In recent work by Etingof, Henriques, Kamnitzer, and the author, a presentation and explicit basis was given for the rational cohomology of the real locus of the moduli space of stable genus 0 curves with n marked points.
