We consider the dynamics of locally coupled calcium oscillation systems, each cell is subjected to extracellular contaminated signal, which contains common sub-threshold signal and independent Gaussian noise. It is found that intermediate noise can enhance synchronized oscillations of calcium ions, where the frequency of noise-induced oscillations is matched with the one of sub-threshold external signal. We show that synchronization is enhanced as a result of the entrainment of external signal. Furthermore, the effect of coupling strength is considered. We find above-mentioned phenomenon exists only when coupling strength is very small. Our findings may exhibit that noise can enhance the detection of feeble external signal through the mechanism of synchronization of intercellular calcium ions.  相似文献

利用有和无外信号作用的脉孢菌生物钟体系,研究了与加性噪音相关或不相关的乘性噪音对加性噪音诱导出的内信号随机共振的影响作用.结果表明:无外信号的情况下,不论加性和乘性噪音相关与否,当乘性噪音强度小于临界值时,乘性噪音的加入使加性噪音诱导产生的内随机共振强度得到增强;当大于其临界值时,加性噪音的随机共振强度却得不到进一步增强,这说明脉孢菌生物钟体系能抵抗外噪音的干扰而维持自身的生理节奏.当加入外信号时,对于乘性和加性噪音不相关的情况,发现存在最佳频率(0.003 Hz)的外信号能使加性噪音诱导出的内信号随机共 关键词: 噪音 脉孢菌生物钟体系 内信号随机共振  相似文献

 An investigation of the behaviour of amplitude and frequency noise of radiation of an active interferometer in the regime of amplified optical bistability is presented. The phenomenon of non-amplification of external signal noise at sharp amplification of the external signal is established. The impact of strong amplitude fluctuations is studied. Our results have shown that the active interferometer allows an effective separation of the valid signal from the amplitude noise. The spectral density of a fluctuation of the field frequency in the active interferometer is shown to fall sharply in comparison with the “quantum limit”. The linewidth of radiation is determined by the spectral density at zero frequency and is equal to the natural linewidth of the external signal. The influence of quantum noise of the amplifying and absorbing media of the active interferometer is discussed. Received: 26 January 1996  相似文献

Intelligibility tests were performed by teachers and pupils in classrooms under a variety of (road traffic) noise conditions. The intelligibility scores are found to deteriorate at (indoor) noise levels exceeding a critical value of — 15 dB with regard to a teacher's long-term (reverberant) speech level. The implications for external noise levels are discussed: typically, an external noise level of 50 dB(A) would imply that the critical indoor level is exceeded for about 20 per cent of teachers.  相似文献

At the molecular level many thermally activated reactions can be viewed as Poisson trains of events whose instantaneous rates are defined by the reaction activation barrier height and an effective collision frequency. When the barrier height depends on an external parameter, variation in this parameter induces variation in the event rate. Extending our previous work, we offer a detailed theoretical analysis of signal transduction properties of these reactions considering the external parameter as an input signal and the train of resulting events as an output signal. The addition of noise to the system input facilitates signal transduction in two ways. First, for a linear relationship between the barrier height and the external parameter the output signal power grows exponentially with the mean square fluctuation of the noise. Second, for noise of a sufficiently high bandwidth, its addition increases output signal quality measured as the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The output SNR reaches a maximum at optimal noise intensity defined by the reaction sensitivity to the external parameter, reaction initial rate, and the noise bandwidth. We apply this theory to ion channels of excitable biological membranes. Based on classical results of Hodgkin and Huxley we show that open/closed transitions of voltage-gated ion channels can be treated as thermally activated reactions whose activation barriers change linearly with applied transmembrane voltage. Typical experimental measurement is set up as a study of the system’s response to a stationary external excitation. This approach considers any random fluctuation of the signal as spurious contribution, which is to be eliminated via time-averaging, or, equivalently, bandwidth reduction. Beyond that lies a conceptually different paradigm—the measurement of the system’s spontaneous fluctuations. The goal of this overview article is to demonstrate how current noise measurements bring insight into hidden features of electronic transport in various mesoscopic conductors, ranging from 2D topological insulators to individual carbon nanotubes.  相似文献

We study a non-Markovian three state model, subjected to an external periodic signal. This model is intended to describe an excitable system with periodical driving. 使用低频大基阵如拖线阵、舷侧阵等是近代声呐发展的主要倾向之一。通常这类基阵工作在边界层压力起伏及指向性噪声干扰分量占优势的背景噪声中,为抑制这类噪声,本文基于背景噪声的不同物理特性,打破传统的半波长间距布阵理论的限制,提出密集间距大基阵分段折线模型及分步波束形成方法,并对阵形畸变的影响及减少畸变损耗的途径进行了分析和计算机模拟。结果表明,和相同条件下常规布阵方式相比,不但SNR增益可提高一个数量级左右,而且自噪声级将大为下降,数字处理设备大为简化,对基元位置不定性的灵敏度也有所降低,大幅度地提高被动检测系统的品质因素。  相似文献

Stochastic resonance (SR) is a novel cooperative phenomenon occurring in nonlinear systems due to coupling of an ambient noise and an external signal. Biological systems may use SR mechanism to detect the signal efficiently from an external environment. A number of studies have addressed the SR in artificial ion channels considering external voltages as noises. More important than these external noises is the internal, thermal noise which changes the channel conformations essential for biological functions. In this work, we consider that the channel gating rates follow a non-Arrhenius temperature dependence derived from experimental data of a real biological channel. Using the Monte-Carlo simulations, we find that in this channel SR occurs near a physiological temperature in a very distinctive manner compared with that for the Arrhenius gating model.  相似文献

This paper investigates theoretically the dynamical sensitivity of semiconductor lasers to external optical signals. Bifurcation analysis of ordinary rate equations, describing noise-free lasers with pure coherent external signal, reveals that considerable modifications to the extend and type of externally induced bifurcations and chaos are possible by tailoring of the laser active-medium and resonator configurations. Extending the analysis to stochastic rate equations, which describe lasers with spontaneous emission noise and noisy external signal, reveals further dynamical effects owing to the introduced random fluctuations. In particular, phase-fluctuations (incoherence) in the external signal can have a dramatic impact on induced bifurcations and chaos. The observed strong sensitivity of laser instabilities to the intensity and coherence of external signal can provide a very sensitive means to detect ultra low levels of laser radiation.  相似文献

We study the dynamics of a lattice of coupled nonidentical Fitz Hugh-Nagumo system subject to independent external noise. It is shown that these stochastic oscillators can lead to global synchronization behavior without an external signal. With the increase of the noise intensity, the system exhibits coherence resonance behavior. Coupling can enhance greatly the noise-induced coherence in the system.  相似文献

针对变电站噪声测量容易受外界干扰的问题,提出了一种抗干扰变电站噪声测量系统实现方法,利用最小值控制递归平均算法实时估计每个时频点变电站噪声存在概率,再综合成每个1/3倍频程中外界干扰信号存在概率;对干扰信号存在的1/3倍频程,不进行1/3倍频程噪声更新,从而避免外界干扰信号对变电站噪声测量的影响。仿真结果证明,该方法可以有效减小瞬态干扰对变电站噪声的影响。  相似文献

Some Doppler-free detection techniques for the detection of small quantities of radioisotopes in the gas phase were tested. The techniques were applied to 23Na (100%) at a density of (5.54 ± 0.05) x 1014 m-3. For the same experimental condition of the sample the signal to noise ratio for saturation spectroscopy, FM spectroscopy and a new technique — differential saturation spectroscopy — were in the proportion 1 to 2.5 to 1.7. So the signal to noise ratio for saturation spectroscopy can be increased by the application of differential saturation spectroscopy but the best sensitivity is obtained for FM spectroscopy.  相似文献

We investigate the role of the noise in the mating behavior between individuals of Nezara viridula (L.), by analyzing the temporal and spectral features of the non-pulsed type female calling song emitted by single individuals.We have measured the threshold level for the signal detection, by performing experiments with the calling signal at different intensities and analyzing the insect response by directionality tests performed on a group of male individuals. By using a sub-threshold signal and an acoustic Gaussian noise source, we have investigated the insect response for different levels of noise, finding behavioral activation for suitable noise intensities. In particular, the percentage of insects which react to the sub-threshold signal, shows a non-monotonic behavior, characterized by the presence of a maximum, for increasing levels of the noise intensity. This constructive interplay between external noise and calling signal is the signature of the non-dynamical stochastic resonance phenomenon. Finally, we describe the behavioral activation statistics by a soft threshold model which shows stochastic resonance. We find that the maximum of the ensemble average of the input-output cross-correlation occurs at a value of the noise intensity very close to that for which the behavioral response has a maximum.  相似文献

大幅度、快速光变是BL Lac天体的重要特征之一,光变研究对探索BL Lac天体内部的物理过程和机理具有特殊的意义.从大量文献中收集了BL Lac天体S5 0716+714光学V,R,I 3个波段从1994年到2008年的有效观测数据,并将这些数据30天平均后进行自回归模型(AR)的双谱估计. 双谱的等高线图和对角切片图表明,双谱估计能消除噪声的干扰来提取有用信息,抑制了噪声、提高了信噪比,有很高的分辨率,避免了伪峰的出现,能准确地认证BL Lac天体的光变周期值.由V,R,I 3个波段的双谱等高线图和对  相似文献

较之于线性噪声, 非线性噪声更广泛地存在于实际系统中, 但其研究远不能满足实际情况的需要. 针对作为非线性阻尼涨落噪声基本构成成分的二次阻尼涨落噪声, 本文考虑了周期信号与之共同作用下的线性谐振子, 关注这类具有基本意义的阻尼涨落噪声的非线性对系统共振行为的影响. 利用Shapiro-Loginov公式和Laplace变换推导了系统稳态响应振幅的解析表达式, 并分析了稳态响应振幅的共振行为, 且以数值仿真验证了理论分析的有效性. 研究发现: 系统稳态响应振幅关于非线性阻尼涨落噪声系数具有非单调依赖关系, 特别是非线性阻尼涨落噪声比线性阻尼涨落噪声更有助于增强系统对外部周期信号的响应程度; 而且, 非线性阻尼涨落噪声比线性阻尼涨落噪声使得稳态响应振幅关于噪声强度具有更为丰富的共振行为; 同时, 二次阻尼涨落噪声使得稳态响应振幅关于系统频率出现真正的共振现象; 而在这些现象和性质中, 非线性噪声项的非线性性质对共振行为起着关键的作用. 显然, 以二次阻尼涨落作为基本形式引入的非线性阻尼涨落噪声, 可以有助于提高微弱周期信号检测的灵敏度和实现对周期信号的频率估计.  相似文献

We define magnetization for a noisy autoassociative neural network driven by an external periodic field. Numerical simulations are carried out to investigate the effect of drive amplitude and frequency and noise strength on the area of the hysteresis loop. We observe that in the presence of weak periodic signal, the network exhibits a maximum in the hysteresis loop area at a nonzero noise intensity indicating maximum synchronization between the periodic signal and the response. It also goes through a maximum as a function of signal frequency.  相似文献
