The thermal decomposition of anhydrous fluoroborates MBF4 (M=Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs) and M(BF4)2 (M=Ca, Sr, Ba) was investigated. The decomposition proceeds according to a simple acid-base mechanism with evolution of BF3. The influence of the acidity of cationic counterions, expressed by the electronegativity force on the course of thermal decomposition was estimated quantitatively.  相似文献

A new molybdenum(VI) oxalato complex K4(NH4)10[Mo14O42(C2O4)7] (PAMO) was prepared and characterized by chemical analysis, IR spectral and X-ray studies. Its thermal decomposition was studied using TG, DTA and DTG techniques. The compound is anhydrous and decomposes between 235° and 335°C in three steps. The first and the second steps occur in the temperature ranges 235°–290°C and 290–310°C to give the intermediate compounds having the tentative compositions K4(NH4)8[Mo14O42(C2O4)6] and K2(NH4)2[Mo14O42(C2O4)3], respectively, the later than decomposing to give a mixture of potassium tetramolybdate and molybdenum trioxide at 335°C. DTA also shows a peak at 530°C which corresponds to the melting of potassium tetramolybdate. An examination of the products obtained at 340° and 535°C by chemical analysis, IR spectra and X-ray studies reveals them to be identical.The authors are grateful to Dr. M. C. A complex of N,N'-ethylenebis(salicylideneiminato)diaquochromium(III) nitrate, [Cr(salen)(H2O)2]NO3 was characterized and its decomposition mechanism was studied by TG. The IR spectrum and X-ray analysis were examined for the complex. The non-isothermal kinetic data were analyzed by means of the Achar method and the Coats—Redfern method. The most probable kinetic model function was suggested by comparison of the kinetic parameters.This revised version was published online in November 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Lanthanum(III) tris-tartrato lanthanate(III) decahydrate, La[La(C4H4O6)3]·10H2O has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, electronic spectral and X-ray powder diffraction studies. Thermal studies (TG, DTG and DTA) in air showed a complex decomposition pattern with the generation of an anhydrous species at ~170°C. The end product was found to be mainly a mixture of La2O3 and carbides at ~970°C through the formation of several intermediates at different temperature. The residual product in DSC study in nitrogen at 670°C is assumed to be a similar mixture generated at 500°C in TG in air. Kinetic parameters, such as, E*, ΔH, ΔS, etc. obtained from DSC are discussed. IR and X-ray powder diffraction studies identified some of the decomposition products. The tentative mechanism for the thermal decomposition in air of the compound is proposed. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Quasi-static thermal analysis is very useful for the characterization of the thermal behaviour of inorganic fluorides. The strong dependence of the thermal decomposition of hydroxonium fluorometallates, monofluorophosphates, and ammonium fluorometallates on the partial pressure is demonstrated. Non-reciprocal quasi-isobaric investigations are specially suitable to disclose this behaviour. The possibilities of characterization of the reaction mechanism using quasi-static thermal analytical methods as well as the use of these methods as synthetic variants for phase-pure fluorides are demonstrated by further examples. In this context the repression of the amount of hydrolysis products is discussed.
Zusammenfassung Quasi-statische thermoanalytische Methoden sind sehr gut für die Charakterisierung anorganischer Fluoride geeignet. Am Beispiel der termischen Zersetzung von Hydroxoniumfluorometallaten, Monofluorophosphaten und Ammoniumfluorometallaten wird der starke Einfluss von Partialdruckänderungen demonstriert. Besonders wichtig sind quasi-isobare, nicht-reziproke Verfahren für die Untersuchung dieses Verhaltens. An Beispielen wird auch die Möglichkeit der Reaktionsaufklärung mit quasi-statischen thermoanalytischen Methoden gezeigt. Die gleichen Methoden eignen sich darüber hinaus als Synthesevariante für phasenreine Fluoride. In diesem Zusammenhang werden die Möglichkeiten der Herstellung von Fluoriden mit geringem Hydrolysegrad ausführlich diskutiert.

ZnO nanoparticles were generated by thermal decomposition of a binuclear zinc (II) curcumin complex as single source precursor. Thermal behavior of the precursor showed a considerable weight loss at about 374 °C by an exothermic reaction with a maximum weight loss rate of 14%/min. Complete decomposition of precursor was observed within 49 min with a heating rate of 10 °C/min. Synthesized nanoparticles have been characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy and selected area electron diffraction microscopy. Results revealed monodispersed hexagonal zincite structure with an average size of 117 ± 4 nm.  相似文献

Acyloxy derivatives of tetra phenylantinmony of the general formula Ph4SbOC(O)R (R = Alk or Ar) have been synthesized by the reaction of pemaphenylantimony with carboxylic acids. Thermolysis of the compounds obtained affords phenyl carboxylates and triphenylstibine in quantitative yields. One of these compounds (R = CH=CHPh) has been studied by X-ray structural analysis. In this compound, the Sb atom has a trigonal-bipyramidal coordination. The Sb-O(Ph)eq distances are in the range 2.103(4)-2.140(5) A; the Sb-C(Ph)ax bond length is 2.167(5) A. The paper describes the kinetics of all the recorded steps of thermal decomposition of nickel sulfate hexahydrate in air. The thermal decomposition of the salt in air led to NiO at about 1060 K. The kinetic parameters, the activation energyE and the preexponential factorA, and the thermodynamic parameters, the entropy, enthalpy and free energy of activation were evaluated for the dehydration and decomposition reactions. Tentative reaction mechanisms are suggested for each step of the thermal decomposition.  相似文献

Summary A mixed metal oxalate, manganese(II)bis(oxalato)nickelate(II)tetrahydrate, has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectral and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) studies. Thermal decomposition studies (TG, DTG and DTA) in air showed that the compound decomposed mainly to Mn2O3, MnO2 and NiO at ca.1000°C, via. the formation of several intermediates. DSC study in nitrogen upto 500°C showed the endothermic decomposition. The tentative mechanism for the thermal decomposition in air is proposed.  相似文献

The Eu tris(dibenzoylmethanato)phenanthroline complex doped xerogel has been synthesized by a catalyst-free sol-gel roure. The non-isothermal kinetic analysis is calculated by Friedman isoconversional method and multivariate non-linear regression method. The overall decomposition process below 600°C is fitted by an Fn model (n order reaction), corresponding to the dehydration of the matrix, and a two-step consecutive reaction of Cn model (n order autocatalytic reaction), corresponding to the decomposition of organic complex. Correlation coefficient is 0.99986. The lifetime values of xerogel, defined as the 5% decomposition of europium organic complex, indicate that the xerogel can find application at near room temperature.  相似文献

Ditetrazol-5-ylamine (DTA) was synthesized from cyanuric chloride in four steps. The thermal decomposition of DTA in the solid state was studied by thermogravimetry, volumetry, mass spectrometry, IR spectroscopy, and calorimetry. Under isothermal conditions at 200–242 °C, thermal decomposition obeys the first order autocatalytic kinetics. The kinetic and activation parameters of DTA decomposition were determined. The composition of gaseous reaction products and the structure of condensed residue were studied. The thermal effect of thermal DTA decomposition is 281.4 kJ mol−1. The nitrogen content in a mixture of gaseous products formed by the reaction in a temperature interval of 200–242 °C exceeds 97 vol.%. Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. Kinetic regularities of thermal decomposition of dinitramide in aqueous and sulfuric acid solutions were studied in a wide temperature range. The rate of the thermal decomposition of dinitramide was established to be determined by the rates of decomposition of different forms of dinitramide as the acidity of the medium increases: first, N(NO2) anions, then HN(NO2)2 molecules, and finally, protonated H2N(NO2)2 + cations. The temperature dependences of the rate constants of the decomposition of N(NO2) (k an) and HN(NO2)2 (kac) and the equilibrium constant of dissociation of HN(NO2)2 (K a) were determined:k an=1.7·1017 exp(−20.5·103/T), s−1,kac=7.9·1016 exp(−16.1·103/T), s−1, andK a=1.4·10 exp(−2.6·103/T). The temperature dependences of the decomposition rate constant of H2N(NO2)2 + (k d) and the equilibrium constant of the dissociation of H2N(NO2)2 + (K d) were estimated:k d=1012 exp(−7.9·103/T), s−1 andK d=1.1 exp(6.4·103/T). The kinetic and thermodynamic constants obtained make it possible to calculate the decomposition rate of dinitramide solutions in a wide range of temperatures and acidities of the medium. The thermal behaviour of some compounds derived from 5-phenylfuran-2,3-dione was studied. The thermoanalytical data relating to the decomposition steps and intermediates were completed with mass spectrometric analysis and infrared spectroscopy results. The paper presents a new, nonconventional method, based upon coprecipitation, for the synthesis of niobium oxidic compounds. The coprecipitation product of niobic acid with calcium oxalate was used as precursor. Calcium metaniobate was obtained by appropriate thermal treatment of the coprecipitate. The coprecipitation mechanism was studied and the optimal conditions for quantitative precipitation of niobium and calcium were established. The mechanism of thermal decomposition of the coprecipitate was investigated by means of differential thermal analysis and X-ray powder diagrams. The final product of thermal decomposition, calcium metaniobate, is formed at 730°C.  相似文献

The thermal decomposition of a series of compounds has been studied by thermogravimetry, mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance and elemental analysis. The combined use of mass spectrometry and thermogravimetry (MS and TG) in the analysis of these compounds has allowed characterization of the fragmentation pattern which was the objective of this research. The gaseous products, volatile condensed products and solid residues were identified by NMR and MS. The complex of [Tb2(p-MOBA)6(PHEN)2] (p-MOBA=C8H7O3,p-methoxybenzoate; PHEN=C12H8N2, 1,10-phenanthroline) was prepared and characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy. The thermal behavior of Tb2(p-MOBA)6(PHEN)2 in a static air atmosphere was investigated by TG-DTG, DTA, SEM and IR techniques. By the kinetic method of processing thermal analysis data put forward by Malek et al., it is defined that the kinetic model for the first-step thermal decomposition is SB(m,n). The activation energy E for this step reaction is 140.92 kJ mol-1, the enthalpy of activation H is 136.06 kJ mol-1, the Gibbs free energy of activation G is 145.16 kJ mol-1, the entropy of activation S is -15.53 J mol-1, and the pre-exponential factor lnA is 29.26. The lifetime equation at mass loss of 10% was deduced as ln =-28.72+1.943·104/T by isothermal thermogravimetric analysis.  相似文献

Evidence of the existence of a high-limit degradation temperature for polymers is reported. At this high-limit temperature, the rate of polymer thermolysis exceeds the reaction rate predicted by the Arrhenius law by many orders of magnitude. An explanation is proposed for the observed behaviour, based on the disappearance of intermolecular interactions. For the study of degradation reactions under high-limit temperature conditions, new methods of fast (pulsed) thermal analysis are presented. The investigated samples, as very thin films, are brought into tight contact with a hot moving metal surface. Under these conditions, the heating rate exceeds 104 deg/s, allowing estimation of accompanying decomposition rates for heating times of the order of 0.01 s.  相似文献

The thermal decomposition of the only known antimony nitrate antimony(III) oxide hydroxide nitrate Sb4O4(OH)2(NO3)2, whose synthesis routes were reviewed and optimized was followed by TG-DTA under an argon flow, from room temperature up to 750°C. Chemical analysis (for hydrogen and nitrogen) performed on samples treated at different temperatures showed that an amorphous oxide hydroxide nitrate appeared first at 175°C, and decomposed into an amorphous oxide nitrate above 500°C.
