The rate problem for rigid-plastic strain-hardening deformations in structures subjected to prescribed hydrostatic pressure surface load is stated rigorously with due account of finite deformations. From the basic theory, a complete solution for admissible stress and velocity fields occurring at bifurcation is obtained for the problem of a spherical shell under arbitrary combinations of internal and external pressures. An earlier proven, sufficient condition for the uniqueness of continuing quasi-static deformation of a spherical shell is shown to be one of necessity. In the case of solely external pressure, it is shown that buckling modes are excluded by attention to an isotropically strain-hardening material with a non-singular yield surface. For preponderant internal pressure, however, it is possible for the predicted bifurcation mode to occur under increasing pressure.  相似文献

摘要:高熵合金是一种由多种主元元素组成的新型合金。实验研究表明等原子比CrMnFeCoNi高熵合金在低温下具有比室温更高的拉伸强度和断裂韧性。本文针对这一现象,利用分子动力学模拟对平均晶粒尺寸为6 nm的CrMnFeCoNi纳米晶在300、200和77 K下分别进行拉伸模拟。模拟研究揭示了纳米尺度CrMnFeCoNi高熵合金力学行为的温度效应和强韧机理。微结构演化分析表明:低温下,塑性变形阶段,滑移系开动的较少,位错滑移所受的阻力越大,屈服强度和抗拉强度越大;模型破坏时,孔洞缺陷形核较慢,更多孔洞缺陷演化成断口,更多的断口分摊拉伸应变,使得高熵合金纳米晶的低温韧性更好。  相似文献

The nonlinear vibration of the inextensional beam on the elastic foundation under parametric resonance and two-to-one internal resonance is investigated. Considering the inextensional condition and the second-order moment of the subgrade reaction, the extended Hamilton principle is applied to derive the motion equation of the beam on elastic foundation. Then the multimodal discretization and the method of multiple scales are used to obtain the modulation equations. The nonlinear response is examined by means of the frequency- and force–response curves. It is shown that the two-mode solution is born when the single-mode solution undergoes the pitchfork bifurcation. The shooting method and numerical simulations are applied to investigate the dynamic solutions. Particular attention is placed on the effects of the cut-off frequency on the nonlinear response.  相似文献

We use the method of Signorini's expansion to analyze the Saint-Venant problem for an isotropic and homogeneous second-order elastic prismatic bar predeformed by an infinitesimal amount in flexure. The centroid of one end face of the bar is rigidly clamped. The complete solution of the problem is expressed in terms of ten functions. For a general cross-section, explicit expressions for most of these functions are given; the remaining functions are solutions of well-posed plane elliptic problems. However, for a bar of circular cross-section, all of these functions are evaluated and a closed form solution of the 2nd-order problem is given. The solution contains six constants which characterize the second-order flexure, bending, torsion and extension of the bar. It is found that when the total axial force vanishes, the second-order axial deformation is not zero; it represents a generalized Poynting effect. The second-order elasticities affect only the second-order axial force.  相似文献

A VU-decomposition method for solving a second-order cone problem is presented in this paper. It is first transformed into a nonlinear programming problem. Then, the structure of the Clarke subdifferential corresponding to the penalty function and some results of its VU-decomposition are given. Under a certain condition, a twice continuously differentiable trajectory is computed to produce a second-order expansion of the objective function. A conceptual algorithm for solving this problem with a superlinear convergence rate is given.  相似文献

An analysis is given of bifurcation and stability of homogeneous deformations of a homogeneous, isotropic, incompressible elastic body subject to three perpendicular sets of dead-load surface tractions of which two have equal magnitude. A minimization problem is formulated within the framework of non-linear elasticity, which leads to a bifurcation problem with Z 2 symmetry. Various bifurcation diagrams are deduced by using singularity theory, and stabilities of solution branches are examined.  相似文献

This paper aims to investigate dynamic responses of stochastic Duffing oscillator with fractional-order damping term, where random excitation is modeled as a harmonic function with random phase. Combining with Lindstedt–Poincaré (L–P) method and the multiple-scale approach, we propose a new technique to theoretically derive the second-order approximate solution of the stochastic fractional Duffing oscillator. Later, the frequency–amplitude response equation in deterministic case and the first- and second-order steady-state moments for the steady state in stochastic case are presented analytically. We also carry out numerical simulations to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method with good agreement. Stochastic jump and bifurcation can be found in the figures of random responses, and then we apply Monte Carlo simulations directly to obtain the probability density functions and time response diagrams to find the stochastic jump and bifurcation. The results intuitively show that the intensity of the noise can lead to stochastic jump and bifurcation.  相似文献

We consider the problem of 1:1 resonance in autonomous, timereversible systems. We first present an abstract treatment for n-dimensionalsecond-order systems, and then apply our method to two simplemechanical examples involving follower loads. As the magnitude of the follower load is increased past a criticalvalue, the trivial solution loses stability as the real-valuedfrequencies of the linearized system first coalesce and then splitapart with complex-conjugate values. In Hamiltonian systems this isusually referred to as the Hamiltonian–Hopf bifurcation. Some novelfeatures of our analysis are the direct exploitation of reversibilityand a Liapunov–Schmidt reduction of the second-order (Newtonian)equations of motion, the latter of which requires no complexification.The analysis of the resulting two-parameter, one-dimensionalbifurcation equation yields the possibility that families ofnontrivial periodic solutions may exist for load values in excess of the critical value.  相似文献

A similarity solution is obtained for the two-dimensional creeping flow of a second-order fluid with non-parallel porous walls. The resulting ordinary differential equation is fifth order. Thus, an additional velocity boundary condition is needed, the other four being due to the usual no-slip conditions. Having chosen to prescribe the rate of shear at the wall, the problem is solved by a standard numerical routine. A singular perturbation analysis is developed for small values of the Deborah number. We give a systematic procedure for handling the linear aspects of the investigation of a bifurcation problem for the solutions of a boundary-value problem with ordinary differential equations. The method is an alternative method. The required projections are uniquely specified. We also use the related generalized inverse of the linear mapping.

针对三维摩擦接触问题的求解,给出了一种基于参变量变分原理的二阶锥线性互补法. 首先,基于三维Coulomb摩擦锥在数学表述上属于二阶锥的事实,利用二阶锥规划对偶理论,建立了三维Coulomb摩擦接触条件的参变量二阶锥线性互补模型,它是二维Coulomb摩擦接触条件参变量线性互补模型在三维情形下的自然推广;随后,利用参变量变分原理与有限元方法,建立了求解三维摩擦接触问题的二阶锥线性互补法. 较之于将三维Coulomb摩擦锥进行显式线性化的线性互补法,该方法无需对三维Coulomb摩擦锥进行线性化,因而在保证精度的前提下所解问题的规模要小很多. 最后通过算例展示了该方法的特点.   相似文献

The buckling modes of a homogeneously compressed elastic plate on a soft elastic substrate are studied. The critical compression is uniquely determined by the bifurcation equation, but this compression is associated with a wide set of buckling modes. It was proved that any solution of the Helmholtz equation satisfies the bifurcation equation. At the same time, in microelectronics, it is required to know which buckling mode is realized. Experimental and theoretical investigations show that the chessboard-like buckling mode should be expected. In what follows, this problem is discussed theoretically. The expected buckling mode can be found by analyzing the energy of the initial postcritical deformation, and the desired mode is determined from the condition of its minimum. The analytic expression of this energy is obtained. Its minimization results in the chessboard-like buckling mode.  相似文献

Shear band localization is investigated by a strain-gradient-enhanced damage model for quasi-brittle geomaterials. This model introduces the strain gradients and their higher-order conjugate stresses into the framework of continuum damage mechanics. The influence of the strain gradients on the constitutive behaviour is taken into account through a generalized damage evolutionary law. A weak-form variational principle is employed to address the additional boundary conditions introduced by the incorporation of the strain gradients and the conjugate higher-order stresses. Damage localization under simple shear condition is analytically investigated by using the theory of discontinuous bifurcation and the concept of the second-order characteristic surface. Analytical solutions for the distributions of strain rates and strain gradient rates, as well as the band width of localised damage are found. Numerical analysis demonstrates the shear band width is proportionally related to the internal length scale through a coefficient function of Poisson’s ratio and a parameter representing the shape of uniaxial stress–strain curve. It is also shown that the obtained distributions of strains and strain gradients are well in accordance with the underlying assumptions for the second-order discontinuous shear band boundary and the weak discontinuous bifurcation theory.  相似文献

It is known that when one branch of a simple fold in a bifurcation diagram represents (linearly) stable solutions, the other branch represents unstable solutions. The theory developed here can predict instability of some branches close to folds, without knowledge of stability of the adjacent branch, provided that the underlying problem has a variational structure. First, one particular bifurcation diagram is identified as playing a special role, the relevant diagram being specified by the choice of functional plotted as ordinate. The results are then stated in terms of the shape of the solution branch in this distinguished bifurcation diagram. In many problems arising in elasticity the preferred bifurcation diagram is the loaddisplacement graph. The theory is particularly useful in applications where a solution branch has a succession of folds.The theory is illustrated with applications to simple models of thermal selfignition and of a chemical reactor, both of which systems are of Émden-Fowler type.
