We study classical, modified, and weak Banach-Mazur distances between sums of the spaces ℓ n p . Some preliminary statements are proved necessary for calculating the crystallographic groups in six crystallographic classes in the 3-dimensional Minkowski space. Three classes are determined by the unimodular subgroups of the general Lorentz group and three more classes, by subgroups unimodular in a certain isotropic coordinate system.  相似文献

Relations between category and strong category are studied. The notion of a homotopy coalgebra of order r over the Ganea comonad is introduced. It is shown that cat(X) =Cat(X) holds if a finite 1-connected complex X carries such a structure with r sufficiently large.  相似文献

In this paper, we extend the (S) + 1 condition to multivalued mappings in an ordered Hausdorff topological vector space and we derive some existence results for generalized vector variational inequalities associated with multivalued mappings satisfying the (S) + 1 condition. We generalize also an existence result of Cubiotti and Yao for generalized variational inequalities of class (S) + 1 to barreled normed spaces. As consequences, some existence results for vector variational inequalities are established.This work was partially supported by grants from the National Science Council of the Republic of China. By multidimensional matrix inversion, combined with an A r extension of Jackson’s 8 φ 7 summation formula by Milne, a new multivariable 8 φ 7 summation is derived. By a polynomial argument this 8 φ 7 summation is transformed to another multivariable 8 φ 7 summation which, by taking a suitable limit, is reduced to a new multivariable extension of the nonterminating 6 φ 5 summation. The latter is then extended, by analytic continuation, to a new multivariable extension of Bailey’s very-well-poised 6 ψ 6 summation formula. We continue our investigation on how small a sumset can be in a given abelian group. Here small takes into account not only the size of the sumset itself but also the number of elements which are repeated at least twice. A function λ G (r, s) computing the minimal size (in this sense) of the sum of two sets with respective cardinalities r and s is introduced. (Lower and upper) bounds are obtained, which coincide in most cases. While upper bounds are obtained by constructions, lower bounds follow in particular from the use of a recent theorem by Grynkiewicz.  相似文献

In this article we construct a new simply connected symplectic 4-manifold with b2+=1 and c12=2 which is homeomorphic, but not diffeomorphic, to a rational surface by using rational blow-down technique. Appl. 343 (2008), 99–109], we showed the existence of “parabolic curves” for certain quasi-parabolic analytic transformations of C n . For any module V over the two-dimensional non-abelian Lie algebra b and scalar α ∈ C, we define a class of weight modules F α (V) with zero central charge over the affine Lie algebra A 1 (1) . These weight modules have infinitedimensional weight spaces if and only if V is infinite dimensional. In this paper, we will determine necessary and sufficient conditions for these modules F α(V) to be irreducible. In this way, we obtain a lot of irreducible weight A 1 (1) -modules with infinite-dimensional weight spaces.  相似文献

Novikov superalgebras are related to quadratic conformal superalgebras which correspond to the Hamiltonian pairs and play a fundamental role in completely integrable systems. We study the gradient flow of the Riemannian functional ℱ(g):= M |Rm|2. This flow corresponds to a fourth-order degenerate parabolic equation for a Riemannian metric. We prove that the degeneracies may be accounted for entirely by diffeomorphism flow, and hence we show short-time existence using the DeTurck method. We prove L 2 derivative estimates of Bernstein-Bando-Shi type and use these to give a basic obstruction to long time existence and prove a compactness theorem.   相似文献

We prove Lp estimates (Theorem 1.2) for the biest, a trilinear multiplier operator with singular symbol. The methods used are based on the treatment of the Walsh analogue of the biest in the prequel [13] of this paper, but with additional technicalities due to the fact that in the Fourier model one cannot obtain perfect localization in both space and frequency.  相似文献

 Using elementary graded automorphisms of polytopal algebras (essentially the coordinate rings of projective toric varieties) polyhedral versions of the group of elementary matrices and the Steinberg and Milnor groups are defined. They coincide with the usual K-theoretic groups in the special case when the polytope is a unit simplex and can be thought of as compact/polytopal substitutes for the tame automorphism groups of polynomial algebras. Relative to the classical case, many new aspects have to be taken into account. We describe these groups explicitly when the underlying polytope is 2-dimensional. Already this low-dimensional case provides interesting classes of groups. We prove theorems on interpolation of quasilinear operators of weak type (ϕ0, ψ0, ϕ0, ψ1) in Lorentz spaces.
