Organic and inorganic nitrates are satisfactorily determined on the microscale by reduction with Fe(II). Titanium(III) reduces the nitrates in strongly acidic, citrate-buffered, and acetate-buffered media with the comsumption of 3, 6 and 8 equivalents respectively of Ti(III) per nitrate group. Nitramines are determined by reduction with a mixture of Ti(III) and Fe(II). Determination of nitrates and nitramines by trans-nitration with salicylic acid is suitable on the microscale. A new electrolytic reduction automatic microburette was devised for the reduction, storage and use of the titanium(III) solution.  相似文献

Simple microgasometric and gravimetric methods for the determination of the nitrate and nitrite groups are described. These are based on reduction with formic acid whereby one mole of nitrous oxide and four moles of carbon dioxide are simultaneously liberated per two moles of nitrate; two moles of nitrous oxide and six moles of carbon dioxide are liberated per seven moles of nitrite. Nitrous oxide is measured gasometrically and carbon dioxide gravimetrically. Results accurate to +/- 0.2% absolute are obtained for both nitrate and nitrite.  相似文献

A trace method for iron, based on ion-exchanger colorimetry, has been developed. 1,10-Phenanthroline is used as the colour reagent for iron(II) and citrate as the masking reagent for iron(III). Total iron can be determined after reduction of iron(III) to iron(II) with hydroxylamine. It is possible to determine iron at mug/l.-levels in different oxidation states in natural waters.  相似文献

Summary The 4-hydroxyphenylthiocarboxyhydrazide (Hoth) ligand has been characterized by i.r.,1H and13C spectral studies. Its metal complexes with FeII, CoII,III, NiII, CuII and ZnII have been prepared and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility. Mössbauer, visible, e.s.r., i.r.,1H and13C n.m.r. spectral studies. The bonding and stereochemistry of the complexes are discussed. Hoth and its CuII complexes have been screened towards bacteria, viruses and fungi.  相似文献

A rapid and selective method for the determination of water-soluble boron in complex fertilizers is described. Boron is separated from the sample solution, which should be approximately 0.1 N in hydrochloric acid, by shaking twice with 20% solution of 2-ethyl-1,3-hexanediol in hexone. Following this extraction boron is back-extracted into the aqueous phase with 0.5 N sodium hydroxide. It is finally determined spectrophotometrically at 415 nm using azomethine H as reagent.  相似文献

Summary Two flow injection analysis systems have been worked out for the simultaneous determination of Fe(III), Fe(II), and Ti(IV) based on the kinetic spectrophotometry with Tiron. The first system uses a silver reductor column and a single detector with two flow cells aligned in the same optical path to yield two peaks corresponding to (a) Ti(IV)-Tiron and (b) Ti(IV) plus total iron(III)-Tiron complexes. An another sample injection without the silver column yields a single peak which corresponds to Ti(IV) plus Fe(III)-Tiron complexes. With the two sample aliquot injections the system permits simultaneous determinations with throughput of 30 samples/h in the g to several tens g range of each species. The second system is a multidetection system with or without the silver reductor column using the same spectrophotometry with Tiron, in which the entrapment of the sample plug into a closed system allows its repetitive passage through a single detector. With the advantage of much simpler instrumentation, the system permits 6 samples/h to be analyzed for the three metal species with somewhat lower precisions than the first system.  相似文献

Reactions of (2,6-diisopropylphenylimino)acenaphthenone (dpp-mian) with gallium(III), antimony(III), titanium(IV), and cobalt(II) chlorides in toluene lead to the formation of compounds of the formulas [(dpp-mian)2GaCl2][GaCl4], (dpp-mian)SbCl3, (dpp-mian)TiCl4, and [(dpp-mian)CoCl2]2[CoCl2(EtOH)4], respectively. The complexes were characterized by IR and NMR spectra, their structure was established by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

Summary Complexes of FeII, FeIII, CoII, CoIII and NiII with dinitroso resercinol (DNR) have been isolated and characterised. Ni studies showed that the metals are coordinated to the oxygens of one hydroxyl and one nitroso group, the second hydroxyl and nitroso groups remaining uncoordinated. The magnetic moments of the FeII and NiII complexes are commensurate with tetrahedral (or disorted octahedral) structures, while the others are ocahedral, however, the electronic spectra suggest ocahedral stereochemistries for all the complexes.  相似文献

Complexes of CrIII, MnII, FeIII, CoII, NiII and CuII containing a macrocyclic pentadentate nitrogen–sulphur donor ligand have been prepared via reaction of a pentadentate ligand (N3S2) with transition metal ions. The N3S2 ligand was prepared by [1 + 1] condensation of 2,6-diacetylpyridine with 1,2-di(o-aminophenylthio(ethane. The structures of the complexes have been elucidated by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, i.r., electronic and e.p.r. spectral studies. The micellar effet of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) on the initial stages of the reaction between (1) Fe(II) and p-benzoquinone, and (2) Fe(III) and hydroquinone have been investigated. In the former case acceleration was observed, the rate-[surfactant] profile showing a maximum. SDS has an inhibitory effect on the latter reaction. Kinetic analysis has been carried out using Berezin's approach.

lid solutions Ti1−x M x O2−x/2 in the anatase and rutile forms were obtained from the precursors Ti1−x M x (OCH2CH2O)2−x/2 at T = 450–900 °C. The temperature and concentration dependence of the phase transformation of anatase to rutile in Ti1−x M x O2−x/2 was investigated by Raman spectroscopy. It was shown that the anatase phase is stabilized most effectively by the Eu3+ dopant.  相似文献

An oxidimetric titration of titanium(III) with iron(III) with a photometric end-point is proposed. Acetylacetone was used to obtain an intensely coloured titanium(III) complex; titanium(III) was formed by prereduction with chromium(II) or vanadium(II). Amounts of titanium down to 35 μg were determined with fairly good accuracy and precision. Few common elements interfere.  相似文献

Tungsten(V) is formed by shaking for 2 min sodium tungstate solution in 0.4 M potassium thiocyanate-4M hydrochloric acid medium, with mercury. It is titrated with standard iron(III) solution. The thiocyanate present stabilizes W(V) to aerial oxidation and also acts as indicator. The W(V) can also be titrated potentiometrically in 7M hydrochloric acid, a tungsten wire electrode being used. Fe, Ni, Cr, Zr, Bi, Sb, Ce, Al, Pb, Ca and U do not interfere. Cu, V and As can be tolerated up to 5 mg. Co, Mo, Re, Nb and Mn interfere, but not in the potentiometric determination. The method is direct, simple, rapid, accurate and reproducible.  相似文献
