A theoretical study for ultraviolet upconversion fiber master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) based on the transition from the 4f5d state to the 3H4 ground state in Pr3+:ZBLAN fiber is performed by using steady population rate equations and propagation equations. The variation of the output power with the fiber length of master oscillator and MOPA and the launched pump powers, the dependence of the slope efficiency on the fiber length of master oscillator and MOPA, and the optimum fiber length of MOPA as a function of the launched pump powers, are calculated. Both the output power and the slope efficiency of MOPA are 2-3 times those of the simplex oscillator. It is found that the UV upconversion fiber MOPA system can effectively improve the output power and the slope efficiency of laser.  相似文献

 运用掺镱双包层光纤放大器的理论模型,分析了连续和脉冲光放大时放大自发辐射(ASE)的计算方法。采用Runge-Kutta方法求解了考虑ASE稳态时掺镱双包层光纤放大器的放大特性,采用有限差分法求解了矩形、高斯和超高斯脉冲的放大特性。结果表明:用3 m长的双包层光纤、10 W的泵浦功率可以将脉宽3 ns、峰值功率为1 W的脉冲信号光峰值功率放大到15 kW左右;在饱和增益情况下,脉冲的波形变尖,宽度变窄;采用短的大模场双包层光纤和后向泵浦方式可以有效地降低ASE,并避免有害非线性效应。  相似文献

搭建了一台全光纤结构的窄线宽高功率掺镱光纤激光器。种子激光的输出功率大于40 mW,线宽窄于100 MHz。采用主振荡功率放大结构三级放大,主放泵浦功率为405 W时得到了334 W的窄线宽高功率激光输出,光光转换效率为82.4%。目前,激光器输出功率仅受限于泵浦功率,增加有效泵浦功率即有望进一步提高输出功率。  相似文献

With the rapid development of ytterbium-doped fiber lasers, some obtrusive limitations on power scaling appeared. In order to avoid these problems, a scheme called tandem pumping is introduced into the fiber laser field. In this paper, the optical properties of an ytterbium-doped tandem-pumped fiber oscillator are presented. According to the oscillator profile, the proper gain fiber type and pump wavelength range are picked out, under the comprehensive consideration of laser conversion efficiency and beam quality. In addition, the photodarkening performances of tandem pumping lasers and conventional ones are compared based on practical application, with all possible impact parameters taken into account. Moreover, an all-fibered tandem-pumped oscillator centered at 1079.5 nm is built, in the way of clad pumping by a 1030-nm fiber laser. The laser power of the oscillator reaches 7 W, with an opto-optic efficiency of 82.4%.  相似文献

An efficient acousto-optically Q-switched extracavity frequency-doubled 532nm laser based on a diode-end-pumped master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) is demonstrated. With a type I non-critically phase-matched LBO, 26W of average power at 532nm in a near diffraction limited mode at a repetition rate of 30kHz was generated under 43W pump power of 1064nm Nd:YVO_{4} laser, which correspond to a frequency-doubling conversion efficiency of 60%.  相似文献

 分析了Yb3+的能级结构、光谱特性以及激光发射特性。实验研究了中心波长为1 100 nm、输出功率为61.6W、斜率效率为55%的高功率掺Yb3+双包层光纤激光器。采用了两个中心波长在915 nm的高功率激光二极管分别从光纤的两端将泵浦光耦合进入光纤,采用45°对波长在(1 100±10) nm的激光高反,对波长在(915±10) nm的泵浦光高透的双色镜将激光输出,实验发现了掺Yb3+双包层光纤的合作发光效应。理论分析表明,掺Yb3+双包层光纤中合作发光效应是由Yb3+对在激光产生过程中的吸收与发射引起的。  相似文献

进行了全光纤保偏主振荡功率放大型光纤激光器的实验研究. 采用两级级联放大的方式, 利用纤芯为5 μupm 的小芯径双包层保偏光纤, 在最大抽运功率为88 W 时实现了67 W的1083 nm保偏激光输出, 纤芯内的激光功率密度约为3.4 W/μupm2, 光-光转换效率为76%.分析结果表明, 进一步提高抽运功率有望获得更高功率的激光输出.  相似文献

模式不稳定指高功率光纤激光随着输出功率提升发生的模式突变,会导致光束质量下降,限制了衍射极限光束质量光纤激光输出功率的提升,本文研究了全光纤结构主振荡功率放大器中的模式不稳定现象,结果表明,全光纤结构主振荡功率放大器中的模式不稳定现象会导致放大器斜率效率下降;理论计算表明,对于20/400阶跃折射率大模场双包层掺镱光纤,注入种子功率在百瓦左右时,模式不稳定发生的阈值功率在1kW左右:热效应是模式不稳定现象发生的根源。  相似文献

理论分析了纤芯错位对激光输出功率及光束质量的影响,研究表明,纤芯错位后纤芯中的各个模式均有一定的功率衰耗,且基模总会向高阶模耦合,导致光束质量下降。采用20/400 m的双包层掺镱光纤,搭建了高功率全光纤激光振荡系统,实验研究了谐振腔外纤芯错位、谐振腔内纤芯错位以及谐振腔内和谐振腔外纤芯同时错位几种不同的情况对输出激光性能的影响,结果表明,谐振腔内纤芯错位和谐振腔外纤芯错位都会造成激光器性能的下降,但谐振腔内纤芯错位将导致激光器功率明显下降,而谐振腔内和谐振腔外同时错位会导致激光器光束质量急剧下降。  相似文献

设计了基于Sagnac环形镜的哑铃型结构全光纤掺镱激光器,使用976 nm多模激光二极管泵浦,通过调节偏振控制器获得了稳定的多波长线偏振激光输出。泵浦功率为20.4 W时,最高输出功率达到5.13 W,功率波动不大于0.02 W,激光器输出多波长激光线偏振度约为14.19 dB,多波长输出功率平坦度优于3 dB。  相似文献

 受激拉曼散射和热效应会限制光纤激光器功率的提高。利用高功率光纤激光器的速率方程和热传导方程,理论研究了双端泵浦和分布泵浦下双包层光纤激光器的受激拉曼散射和热效应,得到了光纤中的泵浦光、激光和斯托克斯光的功率分布,光纤激光器的输出特性以及光纤中的温度分布。分析表明,当泵浦功率增大到一定值时,光纤激光器中出现SRS,一部分激光功率会转移给斯托克斯光,影响激光功率进一步提高;与双端泵浦方式相比,分布泵浦下光纤激光器的斜率效率和最大输出功率相差不大,但是,光纤中的温度分布被有效地降低,因此,分布泵浦方式更为有效。  相似文献

搭建了一台主振荡功率放大(MOPA)结构的单频脉冲全光纤激光器。通过对线宽为 20 kHz 的连续单频激光器进行强度调制,获得了重复频率 10 MHz、脉宽约 8 ns、平均功率约 0.5 mW 的单频脉冲种子激光。采用多级掺镱光纤放大器对脉冲种子激光进行级联放大,获得了平均功率 300.8 W 的高功率激光输出。目前,激光器输出功率仅受限于泵浦功率,有望通过增加泵浦功率进一步提高输出功率。  相似文献

We review the development of wavelength stabilized 980 nm pump laser modules without active temperature stabilization for applications in erbium-doped fiber amplifiers. Operation over a wide temperature range with an output power exceeding 400 mW at an ambient temperature of 70°C is demonstrated. The overall reliability of uncooled modules is estimated to be well below 500 FIT at all operating conditions. Such devices are made possible by continuous development and steady improvement of the pump laser chip, the optimization of the fiber Bragg grating stabilization scheme, careful design of the module package, and extended reliability analysis on the basis of stress tests as well as field data.  相似文献

A high repetition rate ytterbium-doped double-clad (YDDC) fiber laser with amplifying effect is described by using acousto-optic modulator. The characteristic of Q-switched pulses are studied with accurate control of opening gate time of modulator. The stable Q-switched pulses with tens of nanoseconds width can be observed at high repetition rate varied from 50 kHz to 500 kHz using this laser. The stable operation area of the Q-switched fiber laser is discussed and the analysis results agree well with that of the experiment.  相似文献

基于主振荡功率放大器,采用1120nm光纤激光器作为种子激光,将其注入20m大模场面积单模双包层掺Yb光纤放大器,并用976nm半导体激光器泵浦实现了1 120nm信号光输出.实验中将注入种子激光功率预设为10mW,当半导体激光器泵浦功率增大至1.5 W时,放大器系统开始输出1 120nm信号光.当泵浦功率低于3.4W时,信号光功率随泵浦功率缓慢增长,系统斜率效率较低;而当泵浦功率高于3.4W时,信号光功率随泵浦功率线性增长,斜率效率明显增大,达到48.5%.限于最大注入泵浦功率为6.8W,放大器输出最高1 120nm信号光功率为1.97W,总的光-光转化效率为29%.输出信号光中心波长为1 120.89nm,线宽为0.02nm,极好地保持了种子激光的特性.结合实验情况,利用双包层光纤放大器的稳态理论模型,采用有限差分方法模拟了放大器输出信号光功率随泵浦光功率的变化曲线,结果显示理论模拟所得变化趋势与实验结果吻合良好,系统将在泵浦功率达到200W左右时达到饱和状态,说明目前光纤放大器系统具有很大的功率提升空间.  相似文献

We demonstrate a cost effective, linearly tunable fiber optical parametric oscillator based on a home-made photonic crystal fiber pumped with a mode-locked ytterbium-doped fiber laser, providing linely tuning ranges from 1018 nm to 1038 nm for the idler wavelength and from 1097 nm to 1117 nm for the signal wavelength by tuning the pump wavelength and the cavity length. In order to obtain the desired fiber with a zero dispersion wavelength around 1060 rim, eight sam- ples of photonic crystal fibers with gradually changed structural parameters are fabricated for the reason that it is difficult to accurately customize the structural dimensions during fabrication. We verify the usability of the fabricated fiber experimen- tally via optical parametric generation and conclude a successful procedure of design, fabirication, and verification. A seed source of home-made all-normal-dispersion mode-locked ytterbium-doped fiber laser with 38.57 ps pulsewidth around the 1064 nm wavelength is used to pump the fiber optical parametric oscillator. The wide picosecond pulse pump laser enables a larger walk-off tolerance between the pump light and the oscillating light as well as a longer photonic crystal fiber of 20 m superior to the femtosecond pulse lasers, resulting in a larger parametric amplification and a lower threshold pump power of 15.8 dBm of the fiber optical parametric oscillator.  相似文献

 从光纤热传导方程出发,研究了不同泵浦光吸收系数对光纤激光器沿光纤长度方向温度分布的影响。结果表明,低吸收系数光纤泵浦端温度相对较低,分布较为平缓,有效减缓光纤的热损伤。根据理论分析结果,实验中选择了吸收系数为1.45 dB/m的掺Yb3+双包层光子晶体光纤作为增益介质,在泵浦光功率为560 W时,获得了428.5 W的高功率单模连续输出,斜率效率为76.5%,光束质量因子M2<1.2。由于泵浦端光纤温度较高,实验中对光纤两端进行了主动冷却,并且在离光纤端面约25 cm处的光纤表面温度进行实时测量,结果发现随着泵浦光功率的增加,光纤表面温度均匀增长,最高温度为310 K,温度正常。  相似文献
