For a monomial ideal IS = K[x 1...,x n ], we show that sdepth(S/I) ≥ ng(I), where g(I) is the number of the minimal monomial generators of I. If I =νI′, where νS is a monomial, then we see that sdepth(S/I) = sdepth(S/I′). We prove that if I is a monomial ideal IS minimally generated by three monomials, then I and S/I satisfy the Stanley conjecture. Given a saturated monomial ideal IK[x 1,x 2,x 3] we show that sdepth(I) = 2. As a consequence, sdepth(I) ≥ sdepth(K[x 1,x 2,x 3]//I) +1 for any monomial ideal in IK[x 1,x 2,x 3].  相似文献

Let K be a field, S = K[x 1, … x n ] be a polynomial ring in n variables over K and IS be an ideal. We give a procedure to compute a prime filtration of S/I. We proceed as in the classical case by constructing an ascending chain of ideals of S starting from I and ending at S. The edge ring of G is the semigroup ring K[G] which is generated by those monomials t e  = t i t j such that e = {i, j} is an edge of G. Let K[x] = K[x 1,…, x n ] be the polynomial ring in n variables over K, and define the surjective homomorphism π: K[x] → K[G] by setting π(x i ) = t e i for i = 1,…, n. The toric ideal I G of G is the kernel of π. It will be proved that, given integers f and d with 6 ≤ f ≤ d, there exists a finite connected nonbipartite graph G on [d] together with a reverse lexicographic order <rev on K[x] and a lexicographic order <lex on K[x] such that (i) K[G] is normal with Krull-dim K[G] = d, (ii) depth K[x]/in<rev (I G ) = f and K[x]/in<lex (I G ) is Cohen–Macaulay, where in<rev (I G ) (resp., in<lex (I G )) is the initial ideal of I G with respect to <rev (resp., <lex) and where depth K[x]/in<rev (I G ) is the depth of K[x]/in<rev (I G ).  相似文献

In this paper, we study the behavior of the couniform (or dual Goldie) dimension of a module under various polynomial extensions. We study z-automorphisms of the polynomial algebra K[x, y, z] and the free associative algebra Kx, y, z〉 over a field K, i.e., automorphisms that fix the variable z. We survey some recent results on such automorphisms and on the corresponding coordinates. Consider the stable Steinberg group St(K) over a skew field K. An element x is called an involution if x2 = 1. In this paper, an involution is allowed to be the identity. The authors prove that an element A of GLn(K) up to conjugation can be represented as BC, where B is lower triangular and C is simultaneously upper triangular. Furthermore, B and C can be chosen so that the elements in the main diagonal of B areβ1,β2, ...,βn, and of C areγ1,γ2,... ,γnCn, where cn∈[K*, K*] and = det A. Let T be an integral domain with a maximal ideal M, ?: T → K: = T/M the natural surjection, and R the pullback ??1(D), where D is a proper subring of K. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the mixed extensions R[x 1]]…[x n ]] to be catenarian, where each [x i ]] is fixed as either [x i ] or [[x i ]]. We also give a complete answer to the question of determining the field extensions k ? K such that the contraction map Spec(K[x 1]]…[x n ]]) → Spec(k[x 1]]…[x n ]]) is a homeomorphism. Let F be the free Leibniz algebra of rank two over a field K of characteristic zero freely generated by x 1 and x 2. Let I ? K[x 1,…, x n ] be an ideal and G be the reduced Gröbner basis of I with respect to lexicographic monomial order. We introduce the index of an expression of f ∈ K[x 1,…, x n ] with respect to G. A minimal expression is characterized as the one with zero G-index. In case where I is a binomial prime ideal, a new division algorithm with minimal and unique expression is presented. The application of our new method on benchmark polynomial systems cyclic-9 and cyclic-12 shows its superiority in comparison with the existing division algorithm.  相似文献

We study injective hulls of simple modules over differential operator rings R[θ; d], providing necessary conditions under which these modules are locally Artinian. We describe the group G = AutEnd(K[x 1 , . . . , x n ]), where K is an arbitrary field. A similar result is obtained also for the automorphism group of the category $ \mathcal{C}{\mathcal{A}^{\circ }} $ of finitely generated free commutative-associative algebras of the variety commutative algebras. This solves two problems posed by B. Plotkin ( [4, Problems 12 and 15]).  相似文献

It is well known that there exists a transversal design TDλ[k; u] admitting a class regular automorphism group U if and only if there exists a generalized Hadamard matrix GH(u, λ) over U. Note that in this case the resulting transversal design is symmetric by Jungnickel’s result. In this article we define a modified generalized Hadamard matrix and show that transversal designs which are not necessarily symmetric can be constructed from these under a modified condition similar to class regularity even if it admits no class regular automorphism group.  相似文献

Let R be a PID. We construct and classify all coordinates of R[x, y] of the form p 2 y + Q 2(p 1 x + Q 1(y)) with p 1, p 2 ∈ qt(R) and Q 1, Q 2 ∈ qt(R)[y]. From this construction (with R = K[z]) we obtain nontame automorphisms σ of K[x, y, z] (where K is a field of characteristic 0) such that the subgroup generated by σ and the affine automorphisms contains all tame automorphisms.  相似文献
