The reaction of K[ReH6(PPh3)2] with [RhCl(CO)L2] [L= PPh3, 1,2,5-triphenylphosphole (TPP), or P(OMe)3] leads to the new electronically unsaturated heterobimetallic polyhydride complexes [(CO)(PPh3)2HRe(μ-H)3RhL2] in moderate-to-good yields. The structures of these complexes have been established on the basis of spectroscopic data, especially 1H and 31P NMR. The bridging hydride ligands are fluxional but there is either a slow or nonexistent exchange between terminal and bridging hydrides. For L = PPh3 or TPP, protonation with tetrafluoroboric acid affords quantitatively the cationic complexes [(CO)(PPh3)2HRe(μ-H)3RhHL2]+, isolated as the BF4 or the BPh4 salts.  相似文献

The compound [RU332- -ampy)(μ3η12-PhC=CHPh)(CO)6(PPh3)2] (1) (ampy = 2-amino-6-methylpyridinate) has been prepared by reaction of [RU3(η-H)(μ32- ampy) (μ,η12-PhC=CHPh)(CO)7(PPh3)] with triphenylphosphine at room temperature. However, the reaction of [RU3(μ-H)(μ3, η2 -ampy)(CO)7(PPh3)2] with diphenylacetylene requires a higher temperature (110°C) and does not give complex 1 but the phenyl derivative [RU332-ampy)(μ,η 12 -PhC=CHPh)(μ,-PPh2)(Ph)(CO)5(PPh3)] (2). The thermolysis of complex 1 (110°C) also gives complex 2 quantitatively. Both 1 and 2 have been characterized by0 X-ray diffraction methods. Complex 1 is a catalyst precursor for the homogeneous hydrogenation of diphenylacetylene to a mixture of cis- and trans -stilbene under mild conditions (80°C, 1 atm. of H2), although progressive deactivation of the catalytic species is observed. The dihydride [RU3(μ-H)232-ampy)(μ,η12- PhC=CHPh)(CO)5(PPh3)2] (3), which has been characterized spectroscopically, is an intermediate in the catalytic hydrogenation reaction.  相似文献

The product isolated from the reaction of (μ-H)2Os3(CO)9(PPh3) with ethylene is shown to be the ethylidene complex (μ-H)2Os3(CO)9(PPh3)(μ-CHCH3) (1) rather than the ethylene complex (μ-H)(H)Os3(CO)9(PPh3)(C2H4), as previously claimed. The characterization of 1 is based on a combination of 1H and 13C NMR results. The 1H NMR data (δ 6.84 (1 HD), 2.53 (3 HC), J(CD) = 7.4 Hz) establish the presence of the ethylidene moiety, whereas detailed analysis of the 1-D and 2-D 13C NMR spectra of 13CO-enriched 1 indicates the relative positions of the ethylidene, hydride, and phosphine ligands on the triosmium framework.  相似文献

The coordinatively unsaturated cluster [Pt33-CO)(μ-dppm)3]2+ (1, dppm = Ph2PCH2PPh2) reacts with Na+[M(CO)5] to give the mixed metal clusters [Pt3{M(CO)3}(μ-dppm)3]+ (M = Re, 2; Mn, 3). The new clusters are characterized by spectroscopic methods and, for M = Re, by an X-ray structure determination. The Pt3Re core in 2 is tetrahedral with particularly short metal-metal distances.  相似文献

[Co(η2-CO3)(NH3)4](NO3)·0.5H2O and [(NH3)3Co(μ-OH)2(μ-CO3)Co(NH3)3][NO3]2·H2O were prepared by prolonged aerial oxidation of a solution of Co(NO3)2·6H2O and ammonium carbonate in aqueous ammonia. The formation of these side products highlights the richness of the chemistry of these systems and the possibility of by products if methods are not strictly adhered to. The X-ray crystal structures of [Co(η2-CO3)(NH3)4][NO3]·0.5H2O and [(NH3)3Co(μ-OH)2(μ-CO3)Co(NH3)3][NO3]2·H2O reveal a monomeric octahedral cobalt center with η2-bound CO32− in the former, while the latter consists of a dimeric array where the two cobalt centers are bridged by two OH and one μ2-CO32− groups with three terminal NH3 ligands for each Co center. In both complexes extensive hydrogen bonding interactions are evident.  相似文献

The anion [(μ-H)Os3(CO)11] reacts with dioxygen in solution to give a yellow species which further reacts with Os6(CO)18 to yield [(μ-H)Os3(CO)10.(/gm2-O2C).Os6(CO)17]. The structure of the oxygen intermediate is proposed, and a mechanism of the reaction suggested.  相似文献

The title compounds react with unidentate ligands, L, containing either phosphorus or arsenic donor atoms to yield the corresponding compounds of the type Ru(η5---C5Me4Et)(CO)LX; with didentate phosphorus donor ligands the major species formed is the bridged complex {Ru(η5---C5Me4Et)(CO)X}2{Ph2P(CH2)nPPh 2} n = 1, X = Br; n = 2, X = Cl). In contrast, unidentate ligands containing nitrogen donor atoms such as pyridine did not react with Ru(η5---C5Me4Et)(CO)2Cl although reaction with 1,10-phenanthroline or diethylenetriamine yielded the ionic products [Ru(η5---C5Me4Et)(CO)L]+Cl (L = phen or (NH2CH2CH2)2NH). Reaction of Ru(η5---C5Me4Et)(CO)2Br with AgOAc yielded the corresponding acetato complex Ru(η5---C5Me4Et)(CO)20Ac. Ru(η5--- C5Me4Et)(CO)2X reacts with AgY (Y = BF4 or PF6) in either acetone or dichloromethane to give the useful solvent intermediates [Ru(η5---C5Me4Et)(CO)2(solvent)]+Y, which readily react with ligands L to yield ionic derivatives of the type [Ru(η5---C5Me4Et)(CO)2L]+Y (where L = CO, NCMe, py, C2H4 or MeO2CCCCO2Me).  相似文献

The generality of a two-electron reduction process involving an mechanism has been established for M3(CO)12 and M3(CO)12n(PPh3)n (M = Ru, Os) clusters in all solvents. Detailed coulometric and spectral studies in CH2Cl2 provide strong evidence for the formation of an ‘opened’ M3(CO)122− species the triangulo radical anions M3(CO)12−· having a half-life of < 10−6 s in CH2Cl2. However, the electrochemical response is sensitive to the presence of water and is concentration dependent. An electrochemical response for “opened” M3(CO)122− is only detected at low concentrations < 5 × 10−4 mol dm−3 and under drybox conditions. The electroactive species ground at higher concentrations and in the presence of water M3(CO)112− and M6(CO)182− were confirmed by a study of the electrochemistry of these anions in CH2Cl2; HM3(CO)11 is not a product. The couple [M6(CO)18]−/2− is chemically reversible under certain conditions but oxidation of HM3(CO)11 is chemically irreversible. Different electrochemical behaviour for Ru3(CO)12 is found when [PPN][X] (X = OAc, Cl) salts are supporting electrolytes. In these solutions formation of the ultimate electroactive species [μ-C(O)XRu3(CO)10] at the electrode is stopped under CO or at low temperatures but Ru3(CO)12−· is still trapped by reversible attack by X presumably as [η1-C(O)XRu3(CO)11]. It is shown that electrode-initiated electron catalysed substitution of M3(CO)12 only takes place on the electrochemical timescale when M = Ru, but it is slow, inefficient and non-selective, whereas BPK-initiated nucleophilic substitution of Ru3(CO)12 is only specific and fast in ether solvents particulary THF. Metal---metal bond cleavage is the most important influence on the rate and specificity of catalytic substitution by electron or [PPN]-initiation. The redox chemistry of M3(CO)12 clusters (M = Fe, Ru, Os) is a consequence of the relative rates of metal---metal bond dissociation, metal-metal bond strength and ligand dissociation and in many aspects resembles their photochemistry.  相似文献

The strong π-acid ligand Ph2PN(iBu)PPh2 reacts with Co2(CO)S (1:1) to give Co2[μ-Ph2PN(iBu)PPh2] (μ-CO)2(CO)4 (1); however, when the ratio is 2:1 a novel species [Co{Ph2PN(iBu)PPh2-P,P′}2(CO)][Co(CO)4] (2) has been obtained. Crystal data for 2: Mr = 1140.83; triclinic, space group P , a = 12.330(2), b = 13.340(2), c = 18.122(3) Å, = 86.63(1), β = 80.75(1), γ = 84.24(1)°, V = 2924 Å3, Z = 2; R = 0.060 for 3711 reflections having I 3σ(I). The results of X-ray diffraction, ESR, variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility, conductivity, and XPS analysis support that the species 2 is a d9-d9 cage molecule-pair. The mechanism for the formation of the species 2 has been investigated initially by 31P NMR.  相似文献

Pentacarbonyl(diethylaminocarbyne)chromium tetrafluoroborate, [(CO)5− CrCNEt2]BF4 (I), reacts with PPh3 with substitution of CO and formation of trans-tetracarbonyl(diethylaminocarbyne)triphenylphosphanechromium tetra-fluoroborate, trans-[PPh3(CO)4CrCNEt2]BF4 (III). Substitution of CO by PPh3 in neutral trans-tetracarbonyl(halo)(diethylaminocarbyne)chromium complexes, trans-X(CO)4CrCNEt2 (IVa: X = Br, IVb: X = I), leads in a reversible reaction to the corresponding tricarbonyl complexes, mer-X(PPh3)(CO)3− CrNEt2 (V), PPh3 occupying the cis-position to the carbyne ligand. With PPh3 in large excess both reactions follow a first-order rate law. This as well as the activation parameters (ΔH≠ = 104–113 kJ mol−1, ΔS≠ = 64–71 J mol−1 K−1) indicate a dissociative mechanism.  相似文献

Reaction of optically active ketone complexes (+)-(R)-[(η5-C5H5)Re(NO)-(PPh3)(η1-O=C(R)(CH3)]+ BF4 (R = CH2CH3, CH(CH3)2m C(CH3)3, C6H5) with K(s-C4H9)3BH gives alkoxide complexes (+)-(RS)-(η5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)-(OCH(R)CH3) (73–90%) in 80–98% de. The alkoxide ligand is then converted to Mosher esters (93–99%) of 79–98% de.  相似文献

The crystal structures of propionaldehyde complex (RS,SR)-(η5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(η2-O=CHCH2CH3)]+ PF6 (1b+ PF6s−; monoclinic, P21/c (No. 14), a = 10.166 (1) Å, b = 18.316(1) Å, c = 14.872(2) Å, β = 100.51(1)°, Z = 4) and butyraldehyde complex (RS,SR)-[(η5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(η2-O=CHCH2CH2CH3)]+ PF6 (1c+PF6; monoclinic, P21/a (No. 14), a = 14.851(1) Å, b = 18.623(3) Å, c = 10.026(2) Å, β = 102.95(1)°, Z = 4) have been determined at 22°C and −125°C, respectively. These exhibit C O bond lengths (1.35(1), 1.338(5) Å) that are intermediate between those of propionaldehyde (1.209(4) Å) and 1-propanol (1.41 Å). Other geometric features are analyzed. Reaction of [(η5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(ClCH2Cl)]+ BF4 and pivalaldehyde gives [(η5-C5H5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(η2-O=CHC(CH3)3)]+BF4 (81%), the spectroscopic properties of which establish a π C O binding mode.  相似文献

The reaction between Ru3(CO)12 and a cyclic olefin (cis-cyclooctene or trans-cyclododecene) at 100 °C for several hours gives the title compounds (μ-H)2RU3(CO)932-C8H12) (1), and (μ-H)RU3(CO)933-C12H19) (2), both of which have been characterized by X-ray diffraction studies, IR and NMR spectral measurements and elemental analysis. The prolonged reaction between Ru3(CO)12 and cis-cyclooctene gives compound HRu3(CO)9(C8H11) (3). Compound 3 has been characterized with IR and NMR spectral analyses. In 1 the cyclooctene ring is linked via a μ32-alkyne type of bonding to the face of the Ru3 cluster. It is formally σ-bonded to two of the three Ru atoms and π-bonded to the third Ru. The two hydrides in 1 are bridging Ru---Ru bonds. In 2 the cyclododecene ring is bonded to the Ru3 face via the μ33-CCHC linkage. There are two formal σ-bonds from the allyl part to the hydrido-bridged Ru atoms and the η3-allyl linkage to the third Ru atom.  相似文献

The adducts of O2 and SO2 with trans-MeOIr(CO)(PPh3)2 are formed in equilibria and have been characterized. Reaction of the SO2 adduct, Ir(OMe)(SO2)(CO)(PPh3)2 with dioxygen leads to the sulfato complex, Ir(Ome)(CO)(PPh3)2(SO4), the structure of which has been determined. Ir(Ome)(CO)(PPh3)2(SO4) crystallizes in the monoclinic system with a 11.958(2), b 14.163(3), c 12.231(2) Å, β 118.365(12)°, V 1822.7(6) Å3 and Z = 2. Diffraction data for 2θ = 4.5–45.0° (Mo-K) were collected with a Syntex P21 diffractometer and the structure was solved (assuming space group P21/m and an unpleasant 2-fold disordered model) and refined to R = 4.8% for all 2512 independent data (R = 3.5% for those 2042 data with ¦FO¦ > 6σ(¦F¦)). The iridium(III) atom has a distorted octahedral coordination sphere with trans PPh3 ligands and a cis-chelating bidentate O,O′-SO4 group; the structure is completed by mutually cis OMe and CO ligands.  相似文献

The molecular and crystal structure of the nido-6-tungstadecaborane [6,6,6,6-(CO)2(PPh3)2-nido-6-WB9H13] (1) has been determined showing that the tungsten atom is incorporated into the 6-position of a nido 10-vertex (WB9) cage. The tungsten atom has a seven-coordinate capped trigonal prismatic environment and is bonded to two hydrogen and three boron atoms of the {B9H13} cage, in addition to two CO groups and two PPh3 ligands. Variable-temperature (−90°C to +50°C) 31P{1H} NMR spectroscopy of 1 reveals that the exo-polyhedral ligands about the tungsten atom are fluxional with respect to PPh3 site exchange with an activation energy (ΔG‡), at the coalescence temperature (−73°C), of <38 kJ mol−1.  相似文献

The hydroxo-complexes [{PdR(PPh3)(μ-OH)}2] (R = C6F5 or C6Cl5) have been obtained by reaction of the corresponding [{PdR(PPh3)(μ-Cl)}2] complexes with NBu4OH in acetone. In this solvent, the reaction of the hydroxo-bridged complexes with pyrazole (Hpz) and 3,5-dimethylpyrazole (Hdmpz) in 1:2 molar ratio leads to the formation of the new complexes [{Pd(C5F5)(PPh3)(μ-azolate)}2] and [{Pd(C6Cl5)(PPh3)}2(μ-OH)(μ-azolate)] (azolate = pz or dmpz). The reaction of the bis(μ-hydroxo) complexes with Hpz and Hdmpz in acetone in 1:1 molar ratio has also been studied, and the resulting product depends on the organic radical (C6F5 or C6Cl5) as well as the azolate (pz or dmpz). The identity of the isomer obtained has been established in every case by NMR (1H, 19F and 31P) spectroscopy. The reaction of the bis(μ-hydroxo) complexes with oxalic (H2Ox) and acetic (HOAc) acids yields the binucle ar complexes [{PdR(PPh3)}2(μ-Ox)] (R = C6F5 or C6Cl5) and [{Pd(C6F5)(PPh3)(μ-OAc)}2], respectively. [{Pd(C6F5)(PPh3)(μ-OH)}2] reacts with PPh3 in acetone in 1:2 ratio giving the mononuclear complex trans-[Pd(C6F5) (OH)(PPh3)2], whereas the pentachlorophenylhydroxo complex does not react with PPh3, even under forcing conditions.  相似文献

The Arrhenius equation corresponding to the process P---Ag+P*---Ag*→---P---Ag*+P*---Ag has been determined for [(η6-p-cymene)Ru(μ-pz)3Ag(PPh3)] (1) by complete line-shape analysis of the 31P NMR spectra between −40°C and +30°C. It has the form K = 1011.8± e(−46±5 kJ mol−1/RT). The preexponential term, log A = 11.8 corresponds to a small activation entropy, whereas the activation energy, 46 kJ mol−1 is comparable to those determined for other phosphorus—metal compounds.  相似文献

The interaction of [(η5-C5H4But)2YbCl · LiCl] with one equivalent of Li[(CH2) (CH2)PPh2] in tetrahydrofuran gave [Ph2PMe2][(η5-C5H4But)2Li] (1) and [(η5-C5H4But)2Yb(Cl)CH2P(Me)Ph2] (2) in 10% and 30% yields, respectively. 1 could also be prepared in 70% yield from the reaction of [Ph2PMe2][CF3SO3] with two equivalents of (C5H4But)Li. Both compounds have been fully characterized by analytical, spectroscopic and X-ray diffraction methods. The solid state structure of 1 reveals a sandwich structure for the [(η5-C5H4But)2Li] anion.  相似文献

The singlet-triplet separations for the edge-sharing bioctahedral (ESBO) complex W2(μ-H)(μ-Cl)(Cl4(μ-dppm)2 · (THF)3 (II) has been studied by 31P NMR spectroscopy. The structural characterization of [W2(μ-H)2(μ-O2CC6H5)2Cl2(P(C6H5)3)2] (I) by single-crystal X-ray crystallography has allowed the comparison of the energy of the HOMOLUMO separation determined using the Fenske-Hall method for a series of ESBO complexes with two hydride bridging atoms, two chloride bridging atoms and the mixed case with a chloride and hydride bridging atom. The complex representing the mixed case, [W2(μ-H)(μ-Cl)Cl4(μ-dppm)2 · (THF)3] (II), has been synthesized and the value of −2J determined from variable-temperature 31P NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献
