The existence of decoherence-free subspace (DFS) has been discussed widely. In this paper, we propose an alternative scheme for generating the four-atom W states by manipulating DF qubits. The atoms are divided into two pairs and trapped in two separate optical cavities. Manipulation of atoms within DFS may generate a two-atom maximally entangled state in an individual cavity, which is a stable state. After driving the system out of DFS, the atoms will interact resonantly with the cavity field. The photons leaking from the cavities interfere at the beamsplitter, which destroys which-path information, and are finally detected by one of the detectors, leading to the generation of a W state. In addition, the numerical simulation indicates that the fidelity of the prepared state can, for a very wide parameter regime, be very close to unity.  相似文献

A simple scheme is proposed to generate the W state of N Λ-type neutral atoms trapped in an optical cavity via Raman transition. Conditional on no photon leakage from the cavity, the N-qubit W state can be prepared perfectly by turning on a classical coupling field for an appropriate time. Compared with the previous ones, our scheme requires neither individual laser addressing of the atoms, nor demand for controlling N atoms to go through an optical cavity simultaneously with a constant velocity. We investigate the influence of cavity decay using the quantum jump approach and show that the preparation time decreases and the success probability increases with atom number because of a collective enhancement of the coupling.  相似文献

In the context of microwave cavity QED, this paper proposes a new scheme for teleportation of an arbitrary pure state of two atoms. The scheme is very different from the previous ones which achieve the integrated state measurement, it deals in a probabilistic but simplified way. In the scheme, no additional atoms are involved and thus only two atoms are required to be detected. The scheme can also be used for the teleportation of arbitrary pure states of many atoms or two-mode cavities.  相似文献

Connecting individual quantum systems through quantum channels leads to develop quantum networks crucial to perform multipartite communication or quantum cryptography. We present two techniques to generate entanglement among different parties at larger scale. In the first approach cavity QED technique is used to produce extended entanglement in atomic internal and external degrees of freedom. In this scheme we entangle two tagged atoms in their momentum state with cavity fields. Later, interaction of two auxiliary atoms with the two cavity fields in non-dispersive and dispersive fashion transforms the atoms–fields entanglement to atoms–atoms entanglement. Quantum measurement on auxiliary atoms generates extended entangled state in atomic degrees of freedom. In the second approach we take three cavities in which the two cavities have separate entangled state with third cavity in two modes which are distinguishable. Applying quantum measurement process on third cavity, we develop extended entangled state among the three cavities. We provide experimental parameters to realize the work in laboratory experiment.  相似文献

We present a scheme for realizing a multi-atom NOON state via cavity QED system. The scheme bases on the Jaynes-Cumming mode with collective atomic bosonic mode. In the process, a series of control atoms are sent through two single mode cavities which are initially in vacuum states and have the same collective atoms. 提出了多个“耦合双原子-腔-多模光场”相互作用系统的集合模型,发现了该物理系统中量子纠缠信息的传递规律.即:处于基态的原子以特定速度通过处于纠缠态的腔场时,原子能够将光场的纠缠信息据为已有;反之,纠缠原子以特定速度通过真空场时,原子能把纠缠信息释放于腔中,这样便实现了腔-原子之间纠缠信息的交换传递.利用原子能够捡起、释放量子纠缠信息的特点,进一步实现腔-腔之间异地量子纠缠信息的传递.在不同条件下,量子纠缠信息还可以保持.  相似文献

We present a physical scheme to teleport an unknown atomic entangled state via cavity decay. In the teleportation process, four-particle Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state is used as quantum channel, and two unknown entangled atoms and two of four atoms in the four-particle GHZ state are trapped in four leaky cavities,respectively. We propose two schemes to generate multi-atom asymmetric W state and cluster state via long-range off-resonant Raman coupling for distant atoms trapped in separate cavities connected by optical fibers. In these schemes the cavity decay, atomic spontaneous emission, and fiber loss are efficiently suppressed because the effective long-range off-resonant interaction is mediated by the vacuum fields of the fiber and cavity and the total system evolves in the decoherence-free subspace in which no system is excited. Furthermore, the entanglement fidelities of the states are assessed showing that the effects of the deviation on the fidelities of the states are very small.  相似文献

A scheme is proposed for the generation of a W state for three atoms trapped in spatially separated cavities connected by optical fibers via quantum Zeno dynamics. Our scheme is based on the resulting effective dynamics induced by continuous coupling between the atoms and cavities. The effects of decoherence such as atomic spontaneous emission and the fiber and cavity losses are considered. Numerical results show that the scheme is very robust against the cavity decay due to a tiny excitation probability of the cavity fields during the operation.  相似文献

This paper proposes an efficient scheme for quantum communication between two atoms trapped in distant cavities which are connected by an optical fibre. During the operation, all the atomic system, the cavity modes and the fibre are not excited. The quantum state is mediated by the vacuum fields. We analyse a teleportation scheme of cavity field states. The experimental sketch discussed makes use of cavity quantum electrodynamics involving the interaction of Rydberg atoms with superconducting (micromaser) cavities as well as with classical microwave (Ramsey) cavities. In our scheme the Ramsey cavities and the atoms play the role of auxiliary systems used to teleport a field state, which is formed by a linear superposition of vacuum |∅〉 and the one-photon state |1〉, from a micromaser cavity to another.  相似文献

A robust scheme is presented for realizing entangled states for two atoms trapped in separate cavities connected by an optical fiber. The first atom is initially in a superposition of the excited state and an auxiliary ground state not coupled to the first cavity, while the second one is initially in the ground state coupled to the second cavity. The scheme involves two atom-cavity-fiber interactions accompanied by the monitoring of the cavity decay and atomic spontaneous emission. The two atoms evolve to an entangled state through exchanging an excitation after the first interaction. The states with the excitation failing to be transferred are eliminated when a photon is detected during the second interaction. Therefore, the scheme is insensitive to the decoherence effect and detection inefficiency.  相似文献

Quantum networks are distributed many-body quantum systems with tailored topology and controlled information exchange. We present two schemes to generate remote entanglement, in atomic external degrees of freedom and between cavities. In the first scheme, we entangle two atoms with their cavities in momentum space through Bragg diffraction. Thereafter, in order to trace out the cavities, we let resonantly interact an auxiliary atom with each cavity. In the last, we perform quantum measurement on two auxiliary atoms and get remote entangled state in atomic external degrees of freedom. In the second scheme, we have a three cavities system. The other two cavities, A and B, are entangled with indistinguishable modes of cavity, C. Performing quantum measurement on third cavity, C, we disentangle it from the system and the cavities, A and B, become entangled.  相似文献

We propose a practical scheme for one-way quantum computing based on efficient generation of 2D cluster state in thermal cavities. We achieve a controlled-phase gate that is neither sensitive to cavity decay nor to thermal field by adding a strong classical field to the two-level atoms. We show that a 2D cluster state can be generated directly by making every two atoms collide in an array of cavities, with numerically calculated parameters and appropriate operation sequence that can be easily achieved in practical Cavity QED experiments. Based on a generated cluster state in Box(4) configuration, we then implement Grover’s search algorithm for four database elements in a very simple way as an example of one-way quantum computing.  相似文献

A scheme is proposed to unconditionally implement state transfer between two distant atoms by sending the atoms across two distant cavities connected via an optical fibre, respectively. The field state, which preserves the information about the first atom, is transmitted from one cavity to the other along the fibre. A Faraday rotator integrated in the fibre can be designed to completely stop the fields reflected from the second cavity, thus after the field interacts with the second atom for a defined time, the state transfer can be accomplished with unit efficiency.  相似文献

考虑初始处于GHZ态的三个二能级原子,将其中两个原子同时注入处于真空态的单模腔中,并与光场发生共振相互作用的情况.利用全量子理论和采用数值计算方法,研究了腔内原子的纠缠性质.通过对是否进行腔外原子态选择性测量和腔外原子旋转操作情况下,腔内原子间的纠缠性质的比较,讨论了对腔外原子的旋转操作和测量对腔内原子间纠缠性质的影响.研究结果表明:若没有对腔外原子进行旋转操作,腔内两原子是分离的|若对腔外原子进行旋转操作和选择性测量,腔内两原子是纠缠的.另一方面,腔内两原子间的纠缠性质随旋转角的变化具有对称性,其对称轴为θ=π/2,可通过控制旋转角度的大小来控制腔内原子间的纠缠度.  相似文献
