We obtain some general results on Sasakian Lie algebras and prove as a consequence that a (2n + 1)-dimensional nilpotent Lie group admitting left-invariant Sasakian structures is isomorphic to the real Heisenberg group H 2n + 1. Furthermore, we classify Sasakian Lie algebras of dimension five and determine which of them carries a Sasakian α-Einstein structure. We show that a five-dimensional solvable Lie group with a left-invariant Sasakian structure and which admits a compact quotient by a discrete subgroup is isomorphic to either H 5 or a semidirect product ? ? (H 3 × ?). In particular, the compact quotient is an S 1-bundle over a four-dimensional Kähler solvmanifold.  相似文献

This paper starts with some examples and quick results on the topological entropy of continuous functions. It discusses the topological entropy on Lie groups and proves their shift properties. It proves Fried's conjecture h(φγ) <- h(φ)+h(γ) for affine maps on Lie groups. Moreover, φ and γ do not have to commute. As a corollary, it proves that entropy is invariant with isometric endomorphisms of Lie groups. Also, it discusses algebraic entropy on elementary Abelian groups and Lie groups. It proves that the topological entropy is preserved when projected from Lie group lib to its quotient space compact Lie group S1 for continuous functions lifted from the quotient space and shows that algebraic entropy in general is strictly less than topological entropy.  相似文献

A super Lie group is a group whose operations are G mappings in the sense of Rogers. Thus the underlying supermanifold possesses an atlas whose transition functions are G functions. Moreover the images of our charts are open subsets of a graded infinite-dimensional Banach space since our space of supernumbers is a Banach Grassmann algebra with a countably infinite set of generators. In this context, we prove that if h is a closed, split sub-super Lie algebra of the super Lie algebra of a super Lie group G, then h is the super Lie algebra of a sub-super Lie group of G. Additionally, we show that if g is a Banach super Lie algebra satisfying certain natural conditions, then there is a super Lie group G such that the super Lie algebra g is in fact the super Lie algebra of G. We also show that if H is a closed sub-super Lie group of a super Lie group G, then GG/H is a principal fiber bundle. We emphasize that some of these theorems are known when one works in the super-analytic category and also when the space of supernumbers is finitely generated in which case, one can use finite-dimensional techniques. The issues dealt with here are that our supermanifolds are modeled on graded Banach spaces and that all mappings must be morphisms in the G category.  相似文献

Let F be a field of characteristic different from 2, and G a group with involution ∗. Write (FG)+ for the set of elements in the group ring FG that are symmetric with respect to the induced involution. Recently, Giambruno, Polcino Milies and Sehgal showed that if G has no 2-elements, and (FG)+ is Lie nilpotent (resp. Lie n-Engel), then FG is Lie nilpotent (resp. Lie m-Engel, for some m). Here, we classify the groups containing 2-elements such that (FG)+ is Lie nilpotent or Lie n-Engel.  相似文献

Using the classical Lie method we obtain the full Lie point symmetry group of the Aronsson equation in two independent variables. Some group invariant solutions of this equation are found and a conjecture on the Lie point symmetry group of the Aronsson equation in Rn is presented.  相似文献

We investigate Lie bialgebra structures on the derivation Lie algebra over the quantum torus. It is proved that, for the derivation Lie algebra W over a rank 2 quantum torus, all Lie bialgebra structures on W are the coboundary triangular Lie bialgebras. As a by-product, it is also proved that the first cohomology group H 1(W, W ? W) is trivial.  相似文献

Let G be a Lie group which is the union of an ascending sequence G1G2⊆? of Lie groups (all of which may be infinite-dimensional). We study the question when in the category of Lie groups, topological groups, smooth manifolds, respectively, topological spaces. Full answers are obtained for G the group Diffc(M) of compactly supported C-diffeomorphisms of a σ-compact smooth manifold M; and for test function groups of compactly supported smooth maps with values in a finite-dimensional Lie group H. We also discuss the cases where G is a direct limit of unit groups of Banach algebras, a Lie group of germs of Lie group-valued analytic maps, or a weak direct product of Lie groups.  相似文献

We prove that a one-dimensional holomorphic foliationswith generic singularities on a complex projective space ?P m+1, m ≥ 2, exhibiting a Lie group transverse structure in some Zariski open subset, is logarithmic. That is, it is given by a system of m closed rational one-forms with simple poles. The foliation is given by a linear vector field in some affine space ? m+1 ? ?P m+1 if, and only if, it exhibits only one singularity in this affine space. An application to foliations invariant under Lie group transverse actions is given.  相似文献

Let 1 be an involution of a group G extended linearly to the group algebra KG. We prove that if G contains no 2-elements and K is a field of characteristic p2, then the 1-symmetric elements of KG are Lie nilpotent (Lie n-Engel) if and only if KG is Lie nilpotent (Lie n-Engel).  相似文献

Sufficient conditions are derived for L2-boundedness of a convolution operator on a 3-step nilpotent Lie group. This is achieved by producing estimates on the Kirillov symbol of the operator, and is closely linked to the co-adjoint orbit structure of the group. A structure theorem for 3-step nilpotent Lie groups with 1-dimensional center is proved.  相似文献

It is shown that the heat operator in the Hall coherent state transform for a compact Lie group K (J. Funct. Anal. 122 (1994) 103-151) is related with a Hermitian connection associated to a natural one-parameter family of complex structures on T*K. The unitary parallel transport of this connection establishes the equivalence of (geometric) quantizations of T*K for different choices of complex structures within the given family. In particular, these results establish a link between coherent state transforms for Lie groups and results of Hitchin (Comm. Math. Phys. 131 (1990) 347-380) and Axelrod et al. (J. Differential Geom. 33 (1991) 787-902).  相似文献

We show that the kernel of an irreducible unitary representation π of the group algebra L1(G) of a completely solvable Lie group G is given by the functions, whose abelian Fourier transform vanish on the Kirillov orbit Oπ of π if and only if this orbit Oπ is flat. This is a generalization of a result obtained before for nilpotent Lie groups.  相似文献

The characteristic of a simple group of Lie type is the characteristic of the field over which this group is defined. Let G = Sp2n (q), where q = 2 k . It is shown that every finite group of Lie type with the same two largest element orders as G has characteristic 2.  相似文献

Let W(G) denote the path group of an arbitrary complex connected Lie group. The existence of a heat kernel measure νt on W(G) has been shown in [M. Cecil, B.K. Driver, Heat kernel measure on loop and path groups, preprint, http://www.math.uconn.edu/~cecil/papers/p2.pdf; Infin. Dimens. Anal. Quantum Probab. Relat. Top., submitted for publication]. The present work establishes an isometric map, the Taylor map, from the space of L2(νt)-holomorphic functions on W(G) to a subspace of the dual of the universal enveloping algebra of Lie(H(G)), where H(G) is the Lie subgroup of finite energy paths. This map is shown to be surjective in the case where G is a simply connected graded Lie group.  相似文献

The famous Gelfand–Graev character of a group of Lie type G is a multiplicity free character of shape ν G , where ν is a suitable degree 1 character of a Sylow p-subgroup and p is the defining characteristic of G. We show that, for an arbitrary non-abelian simple group G, if ν is a linear character of a Sylow p-subgroup of G such that ν G is multiplicity free, then G is isomorphic to either a group of Lie type in defining characteristic p, or to a group PSL(2, q), where either p = q + 1, or p = 2 and q + 1 or q ? 1 is a 2-power.  相似文献

The paper studies the existence of closed invariant subspaces for a Lie algebra L of bounded operators on an infinite-dimensional Banach space X. It is assumed that L contains a Lie subalgebra L0 that has a non-trivial closed invariant subspace in X of finite codimension or dimension. It is proved that L itself has a non-trivial closed invariant subspace in the following two cases: (1) L0 has finite codimension in L and there are Lie subalgebras L0=L0L1⊂?⊂Lp=L such that Li+1=Li+[Li,Li+1] for all i; (2) L0 is a Lie ideal of L and dim(L0)=∞. These results are applied to the problem of the existence of non-trivial closed Lie ideals and closed characteristic Lie ideals in an infinite-dimensional Banach Lie algebra L that contains a non-trivial closed Lie subalgebra of finite codimension.  相似文献

We obtain a representation of an inhomogeneous Lévy process in a Lie group or a homogeneous space in terms of a drift, a matrix function and a measure function. Since the stochastic continuity is not assumed, our result generalizes the well-known Lévy–Itô representation for stochastic continuous processes with independent increments in ? d and its extension to Lie groups.  相似文献

Let KC be the complexification of a compact connected Lie group K. Fixing a K-invariant inner product on Lie(K), the total space of TK is identified with KC. We show that the Liouville symplectic form on TK is Kähler with respect to the complex structure of KC.  相似文献

We determine the Lie group symmetries of the coupled partial differential equations governing a novel problem for the transient flow of a fluid containing a solidifiable gel, through a hydraulically isotropic porous medium. Assuming that the permeability (K) of the porous medium is a function of the gel concentration (c), we determine a number of exact solutions corresponding to the cases where the concentration-dependent permeability is either arbitrary or has a power law variation or is a constant. Each case admits a number of distinct Lie symmetries and the solutions corresponding to the optimal systems are determined. Some typical concentration and pressure profiles are illustrated and a specific moving boundary problem is solved and the concentration and pressure profiles are displayed.  相似文献
