Alkaloids of Aconitum coreanum. VII. Structure of coryphine — A representative of a new type of diterpene alkaloids

A new diterpene alkaloid, which has been called coryphine, has been isolated from the plantAconitum coreanum (Levl.) Rapaics. This is the first diterpene alkaloid containing, like atisine, an oxazolidine ring with a C₁₄–C₂₀ bridge and a 2,3,3a,6,7,7a-hexahydro-N-methylindolin-6-one fragment. Synthesis of regecoline

An improved synthesis of the quaternary homoproaporphine alkaloid regecoline from the main alkaloid ofColchicum kesselringii Rgl. — kesselringine — has been carried out by two methods: by photochemical conversion (yield 77%) and by iodine oxidation (yield 86%). 2,10-Didemethylcolchicine — A new alkaloid from Merendera robusta

The alkaloid complex ofMerendera robusta Bge. (familyLiliaceae) growing in the Tashkent province of the Uzbek SSR has been investigated.
