Quantum correlations in a family of two-qubit separable classical-quantum correlated states are intensively studied with four different approaches, namely, quantum discord [Phys. Rev. Lett. 88 (2002) 017901], measurement- induced disturbance (MID) [Phys. Rev. A 77 (2008) 022301], ameliorated MID [J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 44 (2011) 352002] and quantum dissonance [Phys. Rev. Pairwise correlation is really an important property for multi-qubit states. For the two-qubit X states extracted from Dicke states and their superposition states, we obtain a compact expression of the quantum discord by numerical check. We then apply the expression to discuss the quantum correlation of the reduced two-qubit states of Dicke states and their superpositions, and the results are compared with those obtained by entanglement of formation, which is a quantum entanglement measure.  相似文献

The dynamics of quantum discord for two qubits independently interacting with dephasing reservoirs have been studied recently.The authors [Phys.Rev.A 88(2013) 034304] found that for some Bell-diagonal states(BDS)which interact with their environments the calculation of quantum discord could experience a sudden transition in its dynamics,this phenomenon is known as the sudden change.Here in the present paper,we analyze the dynamics of normal quantum discord and super quantum discord for tripartite Bell-diagonal states independently interacting with dephasing reservoirs.Then,we find that basis change does not necessary mean sudden change of quantum correlations.  相似文献

In this paper, quantum correlation (QC) swapping for certain separable two-qubit mixed states is treated. A QC quantifier, measurement-induced disturbance (MID) (Luo in Phys Rev A 77:022301, 2008), is employed to characterize and quantify QCs in the relevant states. Properties of all QCs in the swapping process are revealed. Particularly, it is found that MID can be increased through QC swapping for certain separable two-qubit mixed states.  相似文献

It was demonstrated that the entanglement evolution of a specially designed quantum state in the bistochastic channel is asymmetric. In this work, we generalize the study of the quantum correlations, including entanglement and quantum discord, evolution asymmetry to various quantum channels. We found that the asymmetry of entanglement and quantum discord only occurs in some special quantum channels, and the behavior of the entanglement evolution may be quite different from the behavior of the quantum discord evolution. To quantum entanglement, in some channels it decreases monotonously with the increase of the quantum channel intensity. In some other channels, when we increase the intensity of the quantum channel, it decreases at first, then keeps zero for some time, and then rises up. To quantum discord, the evolution becomes more complex and you may find that it evolutes unsmoothly at some points. These results illustrate the strong dependence of the quantum correlations evolution on the property of the quantum channels.  相似文献

We illustrate the dichotomy of classical/quantum correlations by virtue of monogamy. More precisely, we show that correlations in a bipartite state are classical if and only it each party ot the state can be perfectly correlated with other ancillary systems. In particular, this means that if there are quantum correlations between two parties, then the classical (as well as quantum) correlating capabilities of the two parties with other systems have to be strictly reduced.  相似文献

Modern optical communication technology can realize a large-scale multilevel (or M-ary) optical signal. Investigating the quantum mechanical nature of such a large-scale M-ary optical signal is essential for a unified understanding of quantum information science and optical communication technology. This article focuses on the quantum-mechanical non-orthogonality for a collection of pure quantum states and proposes a non-orthogonality index based on the least squares error criterion in quantum detection theory. First, we define the index for linearly independent signals, and the proposed index is analyzed through numerical simulations. Next, the index is applied to a highly large-scale M-ary phase-shift keying (PSK) coherent state signal. Furthermore, the index is compared with the capacity of the pure state channel with the PSK signal. As a result, it is shown that a highly large-scale M-ary PSK coherent state signal exhibits a quantum nature even when the signal transmission power is very high. Thus, the theoretical characterization of a highly large-scale M-ary coherent state signal based on the proposed index will be the first step toward a better understanding of cutting-edge optical communication technologies such as the quantum stream cipher Y00.  相似文献

Werner states are paradigmatic examples of quantum states and play an innovative role in quantum information theory. In investigating the correlating capability of Werner states, we find the curious phenomenon that quantum correlations, as quantified by the entanglement of formation, may exceed the total correlations, as measured by the quantum mutual information. Consequently, though the entanglement of formation is so widely used in quantifying entanglement, it cannot be interpreted as a consistent measure of quantum correlations per se if we accept the folklore that total correlations are measured (or rather upper bounded) by the quantum mutual information.  相似文献

Quantum superposition is one of the essential features that make quantum computation surpass classical computation in space complexity and time complexity. However, it is a double-edged sword. For example, it is troublesome to add all the numbers stored in a superposition state. The usual solution is taking out and adding the numbers one by one. If there are \(2^{n}\) numbers, the complexity of this scheme is \(O(2^{n})\) which is the same as the complexity of the classical scheme \(O(2^{n})\). Moreover, taking account to the current physical computing speed, quantum computers will have no advantage. In order to solve this problem, a new method for summing all numbers in a quantum superposition state is proposed in this paper, whose main idea is that circularly shifting the superposition state and summing the new one with the original superposition state. Our scheme can effectively reduce the time complexity to \(O(n)\).  相似文献

One of the greatest challenges in developing the resource theory of a quantum feature is to establish an analytically computable quantifier, which directly limits the practicability of such quantifiers. Here, analytic quantifiers of both the symmetric quantum discord (SQD) and the symmetric measurement‐induced nonlocality (SMIN) in a bipartite system of qubits are studied on the basis of the quantum skew information. It is shown that the SMIN of any two‐qubit system and the SQD of bipartite “X”‐type states and block‐diagonal states can be analytically determined. In addition, the SQD and the SMIN are invariant with an attached quantum state. The validity of our analytical expressions is further illustrated numerically on the basis of several randomly generated density matrices.  相似文献

从可积系统求迹公式出发,运用Einstein-Brillouin-Keller(EBK)量子化条件,导出了二维无关联振子系统周期轨道作用量量子化条件,由此发现了量子能级与周期轨道之间的对应关系.这种对应关系表明,如果两条能级对应的周期轨道的拓扑相同,这两条能级对回归函数的贡献相干.回归谱中的一个峰是量子能谱中一组与具有相同拓扑的周期轨道相对应的能级之间相干的结果,这一组能级间存在着长程关联.  相似文献

Bose-Einstein correlation (BEC) is appropriate conditions quantum coherence which is between two or more bosons. In this paper, we study the coherence of two-boson in accelerating and decelerating expansion source. The two-boson momentum correlation function is given by quantum statistics methods. The conclusion is that the momentum correlation function is a sensitive function of several parameters which includes particles’ momentum, the temperatures and evolution time of system.  相似文献

We examine to what extent the correlation between two quantum observables at a mixed state can be separated into a classical and a quantum term. The nonunique decomposition of quantum mixed states into pure states makes such a separation ambiguous.
