Crystal Structure of 4-Amino-3-(thiophen-2-ylmethyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole-5(4H)one Monohydrate

The molecular structure of the 4-amino-3-(thiophen-2-ylmethyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole-5(4H)one monohydrate was determined by X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic sp. gr. C2/c with Z = 4 in the unit cell. The title compound is not planar. The dihedral angle between the thiophene and 1,2,4-triazole rings is 73.4(5)°. In the crystal structure, the molecules are connected by intermolecular N–H···O, N–H···N, O–H···O, and C–H···N type hydrogen bonds. The N–H···N and C–H···N hydrogen bonds link the molecules into infinite chains along the c axis.

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of bis [2-(3-(2-((2-Hydroxybenzylidene) Amino)Ethyl)Oxazolidin-2-yl)Phenol]Cerium (IV) 1,4-Dioxane Monosolvate

The metal complex, bis [2-(3-(2-((2-hydroxybenzylidene)amino)ethyl) oxazolidin-2-yl)phenol]cerium(IV) 1,4-dioxane monosolvate was synthesized and characterized by infrared, ¹H NMR, elemental analysis, single-crystal, and powder X-ray diffraction. The coordination polyhedra of cerium shows a distorted square-antiprismatic geometry. No classical hydrogen bonds were observed. The crystal packing was influenced by weak C-H···O (intermolecular) and van der Waals interactions.

One Dimensional Hydrogen Bonded Arrangement in New Schiff-Base Compound (<Emphasis Type="Italic">E</Emphasis>)-2-(2,5-dimethoxybenzylideneamino)phenol (1): Synthesis,Characterization, Crystal Structure and Conformational Studies

Abstract  

New Schiff-base compound (E)-2-(2,5-dimethoxybenzylideneamino)phenol (1) was synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR and ¹H-NMR spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Molecular orbital calculation has been carried out for 1 by using HF method at 6-31G basis set. The title compound 1 crystallizes in monoclinic system, space group C2/c, with a = 19.4581(13) ?, b = 9.5805(5) Ǻ, c = 13.8431(7) Ǻ, β = 93.471(2)°, V = 2575.9(3) Ǻ³ and Z = 8. In the crystal structure two molecules are stabilized by a pair of intermolecular O1–H1···N1ⁱ hydrogen bonds. The dimeric units are further linked via C6–H6···O3ⁱⁱ hydrogen bond.     

Synthesis,Crystal Structure and Characterization of (Z)-2-N′-hydroxyisonicotinamidine

The compound (Z)-2-N′-hydroxyisonicotinamidine, (2) was synthesized and characterized by ¹H NMR, FT-IR, FAB-Mass, UV-Visible Spectra, and elemental Analysis. Its molecular structure was solved by single crystal X-ray diffraction method. The title molecule, C₆H₇N₃O is crystallized in the orthorhombic crystal system with the space group Pna2₁ and with unit cell parameters a = 12.5664(8) Å, b = 8.8622(6) Å, c = 5.7953(4) Å, α = 90°, β = 90°, γ = 90°, and Z = 4. The molecular and crystal structure of the title molecule is stabilized by an intramolecular interaction of the type N—H···O, and the intermolecular interactions of types N—H···N and O—H···N.

Crystal structure of (2<Emphasis Type="Italic">Z</Emphasis>)-(3,3-dimethyl-3,4-dihydroisoquinolin- 1(2<Emphasis Type="Italic">H</Emphasis>)-ylidene)nitrosoacetonitrile

The crystal structure of (2Z)-(3,3-dimethyl-3,4-dihydroisoquinolin-1(2Н)-ylidene)nitrosoacetonitrile is determined (T = 150 K, R1 = 0.0435). The compound crystallizes as the E-cis and Z-cis isomers of the nitroso tautomer. Two independent molecules differ in the rotation of the nitroso group about the С–С bond between the dihydroisoquinoline group and the substituent. Analysis of bond lengths reveals their conjugation and prevailing contribution of the zwitter-ionic structures with the positive charge located on the isoquinoline fragment and the negative charge located on the substituent. Molecules having E and Z conformations are connected by the N–H···O hydrogen bond (N···O 2.922(3) Å) into dimers. The N–H group of the other molecule forms the intramolecular N–H···O hydrogen bond (N···O 2.544(3) Å) which closes a sixmembered cycle. Electronic absorption spectra are studied, and quantum-chemical modeling of the compound is performed.

Crystal and Molecular Structure of the 1:2 Salt Formed Between 1,2-(4-Pyridyl)Ethane and 2-(4-Hydroxyphenylazo)Benzoic Acid

Abstract  Proton transfer occurred during co-crystallization of 1,2-(4-pyridyl)ethane with 2-(4-hydroxyphenylazo)benzoic acid to yield a salt comprising a 1:2 ratio of 1,2-bis(4-pyridinium)ethane dications and 2-(4-hydroxyphenylazo)benzoate anions. Centrosymmetrically related anions associate by charge-assisted O–H···O hydrogen bonds to form 24-membered {···OC₃N₂C₄OH}₂ synthons. These are connected into a supramolecular polymer via charge-assisted N–H···O hydrogen bonds involving the 1,2-bis(4-pyridinium)ethane dications. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group P−1 with a = 8.517(4) ?, b = 9.110(5) ?, c = 10.477(5) ?, α = 96.850(13)°, β = 94.446(12)°, γ = 104.946(10)° and Z = 1 {two anions and a dication}. Index Abstract  Supramolecular chains mediated by charge-assisted O–H···O and N–H···O hydrogen bonding are found in the salt containing a 1:2 ratio of 1,2-bis(4-pyridinium)ethane dications and 2-(4-hydroxyphenylazo)benzoate anions.
