We have measured the resistivities of Al2O3-Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2Cu2Oy and MgO-Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2Cu2Oy composites with the nominal Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2Cu2Oy volume fraction, 2212, ranging from 0.15 to 1.00. For the Al2O3-Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2Cu 2Oy composites, we find for the samples with 2212≥0.6 that the superconducting transition temperature, Tc, is not disturbed by the addition of Al2O3. For 2212<0.3, no zero-resistivity state is observed. For the MgO-Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2Cu2Oy composites, Tc is barely disturbed for the samples with ρ2212≥0.7. No superconducting state is observed for the samples with ρ2212<0.35. The variation of (300 K) with ρ2212 indicates a three-dimensional percolating Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O matrix occurring at ρ2212≈0.19 and ≈0.15 in Al2O3-Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2 Cu2Oy and MgO-Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2Cu2Oy, respectively. Both resistivity and magnetization measurements suggest that the reactions of Bi2Sr1.8Ca1.2Cu2Oy with MgO are weaker than with Al2O3.  相似文献

Samples of NbSr2Gd2−xCexCu2Oy have been prepared by solid state reaction. The X-ray powder diffraction patterns show that a single phase can be formed in the composition range of 0.49<x<0.51 that has TaSr2 (NdCe)2Cu2Oy structure [1], the cell parameters being a=3.8669±0.0046 Å and c=28.742±0.0048 Å. Superconductivity was found by resistance measurements in the sample of NbSr2Gd1.5Ce0.5Cu2Oy: the onset transition temperature is 27.4 K, and zero resistance appears at approximately 13 K.  相似文献

The Tc and oxygen content of TlBa2CaCu2Oy have been investigated by quenching experiments, in which the heat-treated samples were dropped into liquid nitrogen. The oxygen loss, v, of TlBa2CaCu2Oyov was determined by thermogravimetry in a nitrogen atmosphere using an oxygen-annealed specimen of TlBa2CaCu2Oyo and also by measurements of the weight differences before and after quenching. Tc increased from 80 K of the oxygen-annealed specimen up to about 110 K with increasing oxygen loss up to v = 0.035 by annealing at 500°C in a nitrogen atmosphere. Judging from the high Tc above 110 K achieved by a small oxygen loss about v = 0.035, the as-sintered oxygen-annealed TlBa2CaCu2Oyo specimen was in the over-doping state and probably has an oxygen vacancy of 7 − yo0.  相似文献

The effects of Fe-substitution of YBa2Cu3Oy have been investigated by means of Raman scattering, X-ray diffraction, resistivity and susceptibility measurements. A series of samples of YBa2(Cu1 − xFex)3Oy with different dopant concentration (0 x 0.15) has been prepared in two batches, the second set having undergone twice the heat and mechanical treatment used to produce the first batch. Considerable improvement in the superconducting transition temperature, Tc, is obtained upon reprocessing. A phase transformation from orthorhombic to tetragonal symmetry is observed for x=0.05 from the X-ray measurements in agreement with previous work. Using a micro-Raman technique, all five Ag vibrational modes have been measured and their dependence on Fe-concentration is analyzed. There are indications that iron substitutes for copper at both sites and that the structure is a mixture of orthorhombic and tetragonal microdomains for all x.  相似文献

New Pb based layered superconducting cuprates (Pb0.5Cd0.5)(Sr0.9R0.1)2(R′0.7Ce0.3)2Cu2Oy with (R,R′) = (Eu,Gd), (Eu,Dy) and (Nd,Gd), have been successfully synthesized. The structure of (Pb,Cd)(Sr,Eu)2(Gd,Ce)2Cu2Oy is determined using XRD data. The X-ray powder diffraction pattern can be indexed by the tetragonal structure with lattice parameters a = 3.8250 Å, C = 29.2235 Å and a space group of I4/mmm. The effects of synthesis conditions on (Pb,Cd)(Sr,Eu)2(Gd,Ce)2Cu2Oy are studied and a Tc(onset) of 26 K is obtained by resistance measurements. It is isostructural to the superconductor (Pb,Cu)(Sr,Eu)2(Eu,Ce)2Cu2Oy.  相似文献

Samples of Bi2Sr2Ca1−xPrxCu2Oy have been characterized by resistivity and thermoelectric power measurements. All metallic samples show superconductivity with a maximum Tc = 90 K at X = 0.2. The sample of x = 0.6 shows a crossover from hopping conduction at low temperature above Tc to metallic conduction at high temperature. For the metallic samples below x = 0.6, the results of thermoelectric power are well fitted by both of a phenomenological band spectrum model and the Nagaosa and Lee model.  相似文献

The recently reported superconducting YBa2Cu3Oy (Y123) foams are highly interesting and promising for variety of applications. In this report we present first magneto-transport measurements of the superconducting properties of these foams. The investigations reveal the superconducting properties being similar to those of bulk melt processed materials. The 123 foams reveal a Tc of 92 K and have a magnetization Jc of 40,000 A/cm2 at 77 K and 0 T. The measurements of magnetic hysteresis versus field show a high anisotropy of the critical current density up to Jcab/Jcc7.  相似文献

We have studied harmonic generation in the magnetic response of bulk samples of the ceramic superconductor TlBa2Ca3Cu4Oy. Dependence of the odd and even harmonics of magnetization on the DC magnetic field, amplitude of the AC magnetic field and temperature was investigate experimentally. We have used a critical state model recently developed by Müller et al. to calculate the full harmonic response. At fixed temperature, the dependence of the odd order harmonic response on the amplitude of the AC magnetic field Hm shows an unambiguous crossover from an H2m behaviour (Bean-like) at small amplitudes to an H3m behaviour for larger Hm, in quantitative agreement with the modified critical state model.  相似文献

The NdBa2Cu3Oy (Nd123) bulk superconductor, to which Nd4Ba2Cu2O10 (Nd422) particles were intentionally added, was prepared through the so-called MMTG process in Ar (99% purity) flowing atmosphere at an ambient pressure. The quasi-single crystal thus grown was about 1 cm × 1 cm × 1 cm in dimension. It turned out that the Nd422 particles were uniformly distributed in the Nd123-phase matrix in a fashion similar to the distribution of the intentionally added Y211 particles in the Y123 phase matrix. The superconducting transition temperature Tc for the sample subjected to post-annealing in oxygen atmosphere was 94 K. The critical current density Jc was determined to be 45 000 A/cm2 at 77 K and 1 T, when the field was applied parallel to the c-axis of the sample. To the best of our knowledge, the Jc value is the highest and the size of the quasi-single crystal is the largest in the melt-textured Nd123 bulk superconductors so far reported.  相似文献

The dependence of Tc on oxygen content was determined for (Nd0.67Ce0.33)2(Ba0.67Nd0.33)2Cu3.01Oy. It was found that superconduction appears in a range of y=9.10−9.16 and that Tc is enhanced remarkably by the increase of oxygen content. In an oxygen content range where superconduction appeared, the Ce valence was nearly +4 and the Cu valence changed from 2.31 to 2.33. The conductivity was measured in a wide temperature range between Tc and 1200 K as a function of oxygen partial pressure. The high-temperature conductivity increased with increasing oxygen content. It was found that both carrier concentration and mobility are increased with oxygen content. The conduction at low temperatures was semiconductor-like, and increased with increasing oxygen content, where the energy gap EA-EV between acceptor level and top of filled band approached zero.  相似文献

We present the evolution of magnetic and structural properties of Y1−xPrxBa2Cu3Oy (x0.5 and x=1) single crystals and polycrystalline materials when the oxygen concentration y is varied from under- to overdoping. We have found a monotonous evolution of the Pr Néel temperature for x=1 samples and a maximum of the superconducting critical temperature for the x0.5 samples. The structural properties as detected by X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy show no instabilities when crossing the optimal doping region as was found in the x=0 material.  相似文献

A series of new Pb based 1222 cuprates, (Pb,Mg)(Sr,R)2(R′,Ce)2Cu2Oy, has been reported in this paper. The structure of the compounds has been determined by the powder X-ray diffraction method. It crystallizes in a tetragonal lattice with space group I4/mmm and lattice parameters a = 3.818 Å and C = 29.085 Å for R,R′=Nd,Dy. XRD results show that the structure is isostructural with (Pb,Cu)(Sr,R)2(R′,Ce)2Cu2Oy with the (Pb,Mg)O layer replacing the (Pb,Cu)O layer. Resistivity measurements show that the compounds are semiconductors under the present experimental conditions.  相似文献

Measurements of the resistivity and current dependent resistivity for small current densities ranging from 0.03 A/cm2 to 3.0 A/cm2 were performed with two Sn-doped and two Sb-doped polycrystalline Bi1.7Pb0.3Sr2Ca2Cu3Oy samples in magnetic fields up to 1.7 T. Features in the temperature derivative of the resistivity curves were associated with the presence of a superconducting transition between superconducting grains, coupled by weak links with a distribution of critical currents and critical temperatures, and the superconducting transition within grains. The transition between grains was more strongly suppressed in temperature with the application of a magnetic field in samples with weaker coupling between grains. The presence of a transition in a magnetic field due to weak links between grains was verified at 77 K by the observation of a current dependent resistivity in a magnetic field.  相似文献

By using an ordinary electric balance, we are able to measure the magnetic levitation forces acting on a superconducting YBa2Cu3Oy (YBCO) single crystal. It is found that when the external magnetic field is parallel to the c-axis of the single crystal, the hysteretic levitation curve is similar to that of a melt-processed YBCO superconducting sample. However, when the external magnetic field is perpendicular to the c-axis of the YBCO single crystal, the levitation forces are too small to be measured by our equipment. Also, we have introduced a simple model with the Bean's approximations to explain the levitation forces. The critical current density derived from this model by fitting with experimental data is quite close to the value obtained from magnetization measurements.  相似文献

High resistivity sputtered a-GexSi1−xOy compound was investigated for application to microbolometer fabrication for thermal imaging. Noise behavior of the fabricated bolometers was measured, showing no evidence of random telegraph switching (RTS) noise. 1/f noise was measured at several measuring currents, resulting in a 1/f noise factor of 2.9 × 10−11 that can be used for further design and modeling.  相似文献

We have measured the resistivity of textured Bi1.84Pb0.4Sr2Ca2Cu3Oy silver-clamped thick films as a function of temperature, current density ranging from 10 to 1×103 A/cm2 and magnetic field up to 0.3 T. We find that the effective activation energy Ue follows Ue(T,J,H)=U0(1−T/Tp)mln(Jc0/J)H with m=1.75 for Hab-plane and 2.5 for Hc-axis and =0.76 for Hab and 0.97 for Hc, for the current density regime above 100 A/cm2, where Tp is a function of applied magnetic field and current density. This result suggests the effective activation energy Ue be correlated with the temperature, current density and magnetic field. The possible dissipative mechanisms responsible for the temperature, current density and magnetic field dependence of the effective activation energy are discussed.  相似文献

The specific heats of Sm1+xBa2−xCu3Oy solid solution of orthorhombic and tetragonal structure were measured in the temperature range 80–300 K. The data were analyzed in the framework of the Debye model with dilatation correction. The tendency to lower the high-temperature limit of the Debye temperature, θHTD, with the oxygen deficiency was noticed. In contrast, the increase of Sm substitution causes a rise of θHTD. The temperature dependence θD(T) was calculated for each compound from the series for the whole temperature region investigated.  相似文献

We have measured the thermoelectric power, S, and the irreversibility field, Hirr, of the superconducting samples of (Hg,Tl)2Ba2Can−1CunOy (n=2–5). S values for the (Hg,Tl)-22(n−1)n above their Tc's drastically increase with increasing n. Judging from the S values at room temperature, the n=2 and 3 samples are located in the overdoped region, the n=4 is in the almost optimally doped and the n=5 is in the underdoped region. Hirr values for the n=4 and 5 samples are higher than those for the as-synthesized and annealed n=3 samples. It is considered that the enhancement in Hirr is due not only to the increase of hole concentration but to the increase in the number of CuO2 sheets.  相似文献

The moisture barrier property of AlxOy coated poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET), poly(ethylene naphthalate) (PEN) and poly(carbonate) (PC), have been investigated. The differences in the morphology of the AlxOy sputtered grown on these substrate were investigated using atomic force microscopy (AFM). The initial growth of the AlxOy followed closely the topology of the substrate and an amplified roughness was observed. In the fully grown AlxOy, the comparative roughness followed that of the substrates. It has been found that a single layer AlxOy improved the moisture barrier of PET by an order of magnitude, PC by two orders of magnitude while no improvement was observed for PEN. UV-ozone treatment on PC further improved the moisture barrier, while no improvement was observed for PET and PEN. The comparative effects of the substrate surface roughness and surface energy on the moisture barrier are discussed.  相似文献

The variations of the high angle 00 peak-shape by means of X-ray l scans of the 00l fundamental reflections were investigated in detail for a highly oriented Bi2Sr2CaCu2Oy (Bi2212) crystal with sufficiently small intrinsic mosaicity and the same crystal annealed in air at 250, 300, 400, 600, and 750°C for 20 h in consequence. For the first time, we observed a new additional reflection almost overlapped original 00l fundamental reflection at annealing temperature below 400°C by X-ray diffraction measurement, which shows that there coexisted two sets of lattice periodicity in the c-direction of the annealed crystal. The new additional reflection appeared at 250°C and disappeared at 400°C. Its intensity was increased at 300°C. The measurements of the AC susceptibility, c-axis parameter and full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the 00 peaks showed that the new additional reflection was associated with the oxygen diffusion in CuO2 planes and the changes of strain field. The results provide the new experimental evidence that the structural distortion is more sensitive to the oxygen diffusion in CuO2 planes than to that in Bi–O layers.  相似文献
