The present work proposes a direct method based on slurry sampling for the determination of zinc and copper in human hair samples by multi-element sequential flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The slurries were prepared by cryogenic grinding and sonication of the samples. The optimization step was performed using univariate methodology and the factors studied were: nature and concentration of the acid solution, amount sample/slurry volume, sonication time, and particle size. The established experimental conditions are the use of a sample mass of 50 mg, 2 mol L− 1 nitric acid solution, sonication time of 20 min and slurry volume of 10 mL. Adopting the optimized conditions, this method allows the determination of zinc and copper with detection limits of 88.3 and 53.3 ng g− 1, respectively, and precision expressed as relative standard deviation (RSD) of 1.7% and 1.6% (both, n = 10) for contents of zinc and copper of 100.0 and 33.3 μg g− 1, respectively. The accuracy was checked and confirmed by analysis of two certified reference materials of human hair. The procedure was applied for the determination of zinc and copper in two human hair samples. The zinc and copper contents varied from 100.0 to 175.6 and from 3.2 to 32.8 μg g− 1, respectively. These samples were also analyzed after complete digestion in a closed system and determination by FAAS. The statistical comparison by t-test (95% confidence level) showed no significant difference between these results.  相似文献

A slurry sampling electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry method for the determination of Al, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, K, Li, Mg, Mn, Na, Ni, Pb, Sr, Tl and Zn in powdered titanium dioxide is described. The behaviour of the titanium matrix in the atomizer and its interferences with the determination of Al, Fe, Co, Ni and Mn were studied. A tungsten carbide modified graphite tube was used to improve the signal shape and the repeatability for the determination of Fe. For all elements, except for Cd and Pb, quantification by a calibration curve established with aqueous standards was possible. No chemical modifier was used throughout in order to minimize contamination. For the contamination risk elements such as Ca, Fe, K, Mg, Na and Zn, the slurry sampling technique allows to achieve limits of detection (3σ of the blank) 5–20 times lower than the solution technique, resulting for these elements in values of 1, 3, 0.5, 0.5, 0.9 and 2 ng g−1, respectively, and, generally being in the range of 0.2 ng g−1 (Cd) to 10 ng g−1 (Al and Tl). The results obtained by the slurry sampling technique are compared with those of other independent methods including four solution methods and neutron activation analysis.  相似文献

A method for the direct determination of trace rare earth elements in ancient porcelain samples by slurry sampling fluorinating electrothermal vaporization inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry was developed with the use of polytetrafluoroethylene as fluorinating reagent. It was found that Si, as a main matrix element in ancient porcelain sample, could be mostly removed at the ashing temperature of 1200 °C without considerable losses of the analytes. However, the chemical composition of ancient porcelain sample is very complicated, which makes the influences resulting from other matrix elements not be ignored. Therefore, the matrix effect of ancient porcelain sample was also investigated, and it was found that the matrix effect is obvious when the matrix concentration was larger than 0.8 g l 1. The study results of particle size effect indicated that when the sample particle size was less than 0.057 mm, the particle size effect is negligible. Under the optimized operation conditions, the detection limits for rare earth elements by fluorinating electrothermal vaporization inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry were 0.7 ng g 1 (Eu)–33.3 ng g 1(Nd) with the precisions of 4.1% (Yb)–10% (La) (c = 1 μg l 1, n = 9). The proposed method was used to directly determine the trace rare earth elements in ancient porcelain samples produced in different dynasty (Sui, Ming and Qing), and the analytical results are satisfactory.  相似文献

This work aims to contribute to the characterization of the electrodialysis (ED) of aqueous sulfuric acid–copper sulfate solutions. The presence of impurities such as As and Sb, typical of copper electrorefining electrolytes, is also studied. Results from kinetic studies carried out in ED cells with and without re-circulation are presented. The concentrations were: 3–9 g l−1 copper, 50 g l−1 sulfuric acid, 3 g l−1 arsenic and 0.025 g l−1 antimony; the temperatures, 22 and 44 °C; the transport rates, depending on experimental conditions, 0.2–0.6 mol h−1 m−2of membrane for copper, 0.65–2.8 for sulfate, and 0.016–0.03 for arsenic. A speciation model has been developed and applied in order to interpret the experimental results and the performance of the studied cells has been evaluated. The main conclusion is that ED can be applied to the separation and concentration of chemical species in these systems.  相似文献

The samples of dibarium magnesium orthoborate Ba2Mg(BO3)2 were synthesized by solid-state reaction. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns and Raman spectra of the samples were collected. Electronic structure and vibrational spectroscopy of Ba2Mg(BO3)2 were systematically investigated by first principle calculation. A direct band gap of 4.4 eV was obtained from the calculated electronic structure results. The top valence band is constructed from O 2p states and the low conduction band mainly consists of Ba 5d states. Raman spectra for Ba2Mg(BO3)2 polycrystalline were obtained at ambient temperature. The factor group analysis results show the total lattice modes are 5Eu + 4A2u + 5Eg + 4A1g + 1A2g + 1A1u, of which 5Eg + 4A1g are Raman-active. Furthermore, we obtained the Raman active vibrational modes as well as their eigenfrequencies using first-principle calculation. With the assistance of the first-principle calculation and factor group analysis results, Raman bands of Ba2Mg(BO3)2 were assigned as Eg (42 cm−1), A1g (85 cm−1), Eg (156 cm−1), Eg (237 cm−1), A1g (286 cm−1), Eg (564 cm−1), A1g (761 cm−1), A1g (909 cm−1), Eg (1165 cm−1). The strongest band at 928 cm−1 in the experimental spectrum is assigned to totally symmetric stretching mode of the BO3 units.  相似文献

A method was developed for the determination of all rare earth elements (REEs) at sub ng g−1 levels in human hair (GBW 09101, SRM, Republic of China) and wheat flour (GBW 08503, SRM, Republic of China) by Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The values obtained by dry ashing and microwave oven digestion procedures were compared with those obtained by traditional open vessel acid digestion method. The validity of the analytical procedure was examined by analyzing spiked samples and two vegetables (GBW 07603 and GBW 07605, SRMs, Republic of China). The results are satisfactory. The detection limits for 14 REEs ranged from 0.0039 to 0.0003 ng cm−3 in solution and the quantification limits ranged from 0.16 to 0.01 ng g−1 in solid sample. The precision for most REEs were less than 10% RSD.  相似文献

Vanadium dioxide (VO2) nano-sheets were directly synthesized via a continuous hydrothermal process and were investigated as electrodes in a wide potential range of 0.05–3 V vs. Li/Li+. The nano-sheets showed excellent capacity retention, with a specific capacity of 350 mAh g 1 at an applied current of 0.1 A g 1 and 95 mAh g 1 at 10 A g 1. Further electrochemical testing suggested that a significant proportion of the charge storage in the cells was due to pseudocapacitive processes.  相似文献

A micro-bomb combustion calorimeter recently designed for samples of mass   80 mg has been improved and tested with m -methoxybenzoic acid in order to verify the chemistry of the combustion process and the accuracy of the energy corrections involved in the analysis of results. From measurements in this calorimeter, the standard massic energy of combustion of 1,2,4-triazole was determined to beΔcuo =   (19200.3  ±  3.4)J · g  1. Some new measurements with our macro combustion calorimeter confirm an earlier result from this laboratory of   (19203.1  ±  1.2)J · g  1. Determination of the purity by d.s.c. of 1,2,4-triazole purified some 10 years ago reveals that samples of this compound remained unchanged and suggest that 1,2,4-triazole be used as a possible reference material for organic compounds with a high content of nitrogen. From the experimental results with the micro-bomb combustion calorimeter, the actual and earlier results from macro-bomb combustion calorimetry, and those obtained in other laboratories, the standard massic energy of combustion of 1,2,4-triazole was deduced to beΔcuo =   (19202.5  ±  1.7)J · g  1.  相似文献

A highly sensitive, selective and rapid method for the determination of cobalt based on the rapid reaction of cobalt(II) with 5-(2-benzothiazolylazo)-8-hydroxyquinolene BTAHQ and the solid phase extraction of the Co(II)-BTAHQ complex with C18 membrane disks were developed. In the presence of pH = 6.4 buffer solution and cetylpyridenium chloride (CPC) medium, BTAHQ reacts with cobalt to form a deep violet complex with a molar ratio of 1:1 (cobalt to BTAHQ). This complex was enriched by the solid phase extraction with C18 membrane disks. An enrichment factor of 100 was obtained by elution of the complex from the disks with a minimal amount of isopentyl alcohol. In isopentyl alcohol medium, the molar absorptivity of the complex is 2.42 × 105 L mol−1 cm−1 at 658 nm. Beer’s law is obeyed in the range of 0.01–0.38 μg mL−1 in the measured solution. The relative standard deviation for 11 replicate samples of 0.20 μg mL−1 level is 1.37%. The detection and quantification limits reach 3.1 and 9.7 ng mL−1 in the original samples. This method was applied for the determination of cobalt in biological, water, soil and pharmaceutical preparation samples with good results.  相似文献

The efficacy of gamma radiation decontamination of industrial casein, a milk protein utilized as a component of many food and non-food products has been studied. Low-fat milk powder was also included with a purpose to study the microflora survival in protein-rich materials. Microbial analysis of the samples prior to irradiation showed that the initial total viable count was higher than 6.0 log cfu g−1 in both casein and milk powders. The contamination of casein with moulds and yeasts was found to be equal to 3.56 log cfu g−1. The counts of coliforms have not exceeded the value of 2.48 log cfu g−1. Radiation processing of casein and milk powder has substantially reduced the microbial population of all samples. The dose of 5 kGy was sufficient to reduce the total microflora and coliforms counts to the level permitted for food products. Survivals of microorganisms were analyzed by the generalized exponential equation, SF=exp[−D/Do)α]. Values of an exponent, α, standing for the dispersion parameter, were equal to 0.65 and 0.70 for microorganisms contaminating casein and milk powders, respectively. The numerical value of the dispersion parameter α<1 indicates the concave dependence of a logarithm of surviving fraction versus radiation dose. No difference in microflora survival in irradiated samples tested immediately and in samples stored for 1-month after irradiation has been noticed.  相似文献

The determination of chromium (VI) compounds in plants by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ET AAS) is proposed based on their leaching with 0.1 M Na2CO3. Due to the presence of relatively high amounts of Na2CO3 in the resulting samples, the temperature and time of pyrolysis and atomization stages must be optimized to minimize the influence of the matrix. A limit of detection (LOD) for determination of Cr(VI) in plants by ET AAS was found to be 0.024 μg g−1.The concentration of Cr(VI) and total chromium in plants collected in different geographical areas (South Africa and Russia), grown on soils high in chromium was determined. The concentration of Cr(VI) and total Cr in stems and leaves of plants was in the range of 0.04–0.7 μg g−1 and 0.5–10 μg g−1, respectively. The limited uptake of Cr(III) by plants, in comparison to its concentration in soil, can be explained by the very low solubility of natural Cr(III) compounds. Results for the determination of Cr(VI) were confirmed by the analysis of BCR CRM 545 (Cr(VI) in welding dust) with good agreement between certified (39.5 ± 1.3 μg mg−1) and found (38.8 ± 1.2 μg mg−1) values. The total concentration of Cr in plants has also been determined by ET AAS after dry ashing of samples at 650 °C. Results were confirmed by the analysis of BCR CRM 281 (Trace elements in Rye Grass) with good agreement between the found (2.12 ± 0.16 μg g−1) and certified value (2.14 ± 0.12 μg g−1).  相似文献

A heat-flow Calvet microcalorimeter was adapted for the measurement of sublimation enthalpies by the vacuum-drop method, with samples of masses in the range 1 mg to 5 mg. The electrically calibrated apparatus was tested by determining the enthalpies of sublimation of benzoic acid and ferrocene, at T =  298.15 K. The obtained results, ΔcrgHmo(C7H6O2)  =  (88.3  ±  0.5)kJ · mol  1and ΔcrgHmo(C10H10Fe) =  (73.3  ±  0.1)kJ · mol  1, are in excellent agreement with the corresponding values recommended in the literature. Subsequent application of the apparatus to the determination of the enthalpy of sublimation of η5-bis-pentamethylcyclopentadyenyl iron, at T =  298.15 K, led to ΔcrgHmo(C20H30Fe)  =  (96.8  ±  0.6)kJ · mol  1.  相似文献

This study reports the use of a layered-type birnessite δ-MnO2 nano-flake cathode for eco-friendly zinc-ion battery (ZIB) applications. The present δ-MnO2 was prepared via the simple low temperature thermal decomposition of KMnO4. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern of the samples was well indexed to the δ-MnO2 phase. Field emission SEM and TEM images of the δ-MnO2 revealed flake-like morphologies with an average diameter of 200 nm. The electrochemical properties, investigated by cyclic voltammetry and constant current charge-discharge measurements, revealed that the nano-flake cathode exhibited first discharge capacity of 122 mAh g 1 under a high current density of 83 mA g 1 versus zinc. The discharge capacity thereafter increased until it reached 252 mAh g 1 in the fourth cycle. On the hundredth cycle, the electrode registered a discharge capacity of 112 mAh g 1. Coulombic efficiencies of nearly 100% were maintained on prolonged cycling and thereby indicate the long cycle stability of the δ-MnO2. Besides, the realization of specific capacities of 92 and 30 mAh/g at high current densities of 666 and 1333 mA g−1, respectively, clearly demonstrates the decent rate capabilities of δ-MnO2 nano-flake cathode. These results may facilitate the utilization of layered-type birnessite δ-MnO2 in ZIB applications.  相似文献

A new sorbent based on cysteine modified silica gel (SiG-cys) was prepared and studied for preconcentration and separation of noble metals Au(III), Pd(II), Pt(II), Pt(IV). Its extraction efficiency was examined by batch and column solid phase extraction procedures. Laboratory experiments performed showed that sorbent is characterized with high selectivity, permiting quantitative sorption (93–97%) of noble metals Au, Pd and Pt from acidic media 0.1–2 mol L? 1 HCl and unsignificant sorption (less than 2%) for common base metals like Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn. The analytes retained on the sorbent are effectively eluted with 0.1 mol L? 1 thiourea in 0.1 mol L? 1 HCl and measured by ETAAS or ICP OES under optimal instrumental parameters. The sorbent showed high mechanical and chemical stability and extraction efficiency was not changed after 500 cycles of sorption/desorption. The sorbent was successfully applied in analyticals procedures for preconcentration and determination of Au, Pd and Pt in geological and soil samples. Detection limits (3σ criteria) achieved, depending on the instrumental methods used are: ETAAS (0.005 μg L? 1 for Au in river and sea water, 0.002 μg g? 1 for Au in copper ore and copper concentrate); ICP OES (0.03 μg L? 1 for Pd and 0.06 μg L? 1 for Pt in river and sea water, 0.006 μg g? 1 for Pd in copper ore and copper concentrate and 0.002 μg g? 1 for soluble Pt in soil). The accuracy of the procedures developed was confirmed by added/found method for sea and river water; by the analysis of national certified materials (copper ore and copper concentrate for Au and Pd) and by determination of the sum of soluble Pt(II) + Pt(IV) in spiked soil samples.  相似文献

The fluorescence spectrum of all-trans-β-carotene was recorded at 170 K. The 1Bu+  1Ag fluorescence exhibited clear vibrational structures constituting a mirror image with those of the 1Bu+  1Ag absorption, and the deconvolution of the entire spectrum identified the 2Ag(0)  1Ag(0) transition at 14 500 cm−1. The displacements of the 1Bu+ and 2Ag potential minima along ν1 and ν2 (the CC stretching and C–C stretching normal coordinates, respectively) were determined to be 1.2 and 0.9, and 1.6 and 1.5, respectively. Thus, much larger potential displacements in the 2Ag state than in the 1Bu+ state have been shown.  相似文献

Citric acid was used as a chemical modifier for Pb determination by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry in dietary supplement samples (calcium carbonate, dolomite and oyster shell samples) and its efficiency was compared to the use of palladium. Pyrolysis and atomization curves were established without use of chemical modifier, with the addition of 20, 100 and 200 μg of citric acid, and with 3 μg of palladium. The citric acid modifier made possible the interference-free Pb determination in the presence of high concentrations of Ca and Mg nitrates. Acid sample digestion involving closed vessels (microwave-assisted and conventional heating) and acid attack using polypropylene vessels at room temperature were compared. All digestion procedures presented similar results for calcium carbonate and dolomite samples. However, for oyster shell samples accurate results were obtained only with the use of closed vessel systems. Analyte addition and matrix-matched standards were used for calibration. The characteristic mass for Pb using citric acid and palladium were 16 and 25 pg, respectively. The relative standard deviation (RSD) was always less than 5% when citric acid was used. The relative and absolute limits of detection were 0.02 μg g 1 and 8 pg with citric acid and 0.1 μg g 1 and 44 pg with the Pd modifier, respectively (n = 10, 3σ). The recovery of Pb in spiked calcium supplement samples (10 μg l 1) was between 98% and 105%. With the use of 100 μg of citric acid as chemical modifier, problems such as high background absorption and high RSD values were minimized in comparison to the addition of 3 μg of palladium.  相似文献

In the present work, a slurry sampling flame atomic absorption spectrometric method to determine directly manganese and zinc in powdered chocolate samples is proposed. The optimization step was performed using univariate methodology involving the following factors: nature and concentration of the acid solution, sonication time, and particle size. The established conditions led to the use of a sample mass of 150 mg, 2.0 mol L− 1 nitric acid solution, sonication time of 15 min, and a slurry volume of 50 mL. This method allows the determination of manganese and zinc with detection limit of 52 and 61 ng g− 1, respectively, and a precision expressed as relative standard deviation (RSD) of 2.6% and 3.2% (both, n = 10) for contents of manganese and zinc of 52.4 and 100.0 μg g− 1, respectively. The proposed method was applied for determination of manganese and zinc in five powdered chocolate samples. In these, the manganese content varied from 42.8 to 52.7 and from 88.6 to 102.4 μg g− 1 of zinc. The analytical results were compared with the results obtained by analysis of these samples after digestion using open vessel and acid bomb digestion procedures and determination using FS-FAAS. The statistical comparison by t-test (95% confidence level) showed no significant difference between these results.  相似文献

The Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms were used to describe the biosorption of Cu(II), Pb(II), and Zn(II) onto the saltbush leaves biomass at 297 K and pH 5.0. The correlation coefficients (R2) obtained from the Freundlich model were 0.9798, 0.9575, and 0.9963 for Cu, Pb, and Zn, respectively, while for the Langmuir model the R2 values for the same metals were 0.0001, 0.1380, and 0.0088, respectively. This suggests that saltbush leaves biomass sorbed the three metals following the Freundlich model (R2 > 0.9575). The KF values obtained from the Freundlich model (175.5 · 10−2, 10.5 · 10−2, and 6.32 · 10−2 mol · g−1 for Pb, Zn, and Cu, respectively), suggest that the metal binding affinity was in the order Pb > Zn > Cu. The experimental values of the maximal adsorption capacities of saltbush leaves biomass were 0.13 · 10−2, 0.05 · 10−2, and 0.107 · 10−2 mol · g−1 for Pb, Zn, and Cu, respectively. The negative ΔG values for Pb and the positive values for Cu and Zn indicate that the Pb biosorption by saltbush biomass was a spontaneous process.  相似文献

A glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with internal-electrolysis deposited gold nanoparticles (AuNPsied) was applied to sensitively and selectively detect As(III) by anodic stripping linear sweep voltammetry (ASLSV). The AuNPsied/GCE was prepared based on the redox replacement reaction between a supporting-electrolyte-free aqueous HAuCl4 and a copper sheet in saturated KCl separated by a salt bridge. Under optimum conditions (0.5 M aqueous H2SO4, 300-s preconcentration at − 0.4 V), the ASLSV peak current for the As(0)–As(III) oxidation responded linearly to As(III) concentration from 0.02 to 3 μM with a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.9 nM (0.07 μg L 1) (S/N = 3), while that for the As(III)–As(V) oxidation was linear with As(III) concentration from 0.02 to 1 μM with a LOD of 4 nM (0.3 μg L 1) (S/N = 3). An appropriate high-scan-rate for ASLSV can enhance both the sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio. This method was applied for analyses of As(III) in real water samples.  相似文献

A novel poly(p-xylenolsulfonephthalein) modified glassy carbon electrode was prepared for the simultaneous determination of ascorbic acid (AA), epinephrine (EP) and uric acid (UA). Cyclic voltammetric, chronoamperometric, and differential pulse voltammetric methods were used to investigate the modified electrode for the electrocatalytic oxidation of EP, AA, and UA in aqueous solutions. The separation of the oxidation peak potentials for AA–EP and EP–UA was about 200 and 130 mV, respectively. The calibration curves obtained for AA, EP, and UA were in the ranges of 10–1343, 2–390, and 0.1–560 μmol L−1, respectively. The detection limits (S/N = 3) were 4, 0.1, and 0.08 μmol L−1 for AA, EP and UA, respectively. The diffusion coefficient and the catalytic rate constant for the oxidation of EP at the modified electrode were calculated as 1.40(±0.10) × 10−4 cm2 s−1 and 1.06 × 103 mol−1 L s−1, respectively. The present method was applied to the determination of EP in pharmaceutical and urine samples, AA in commercially available vitamin C tablet, and EP plus UA in urine samples.  相似文献
