Weak fault signals, high coupling data, and unknown faults commonly exist in fault diagnosis systems, causing low detection and identification performance of fault diagnosis methods based on statistics or cross entropy. This paper proposes a new fault diagnosis method based on optimal bandwidth kernel density estimation (KDE) and Jensen–Shannon (JS) divergence distribution for improved fault detection performance. KDE addresses weak signal and coupling fault detection, and JS divergence addresses unknown fault detection. Firstly, the formula and algorithm of the optimal bandwidth of multidimensional KDE are presented, and the convergence of the algorithm is proved. Secondly, the difference in JS divergence between the data is obtained based on the optimal KDE and used for fault detection. Finally, the fault diagnosis experiment based on the bearing data from Case Western Reserve University Bearing Data Center is conducted. The results show that for known faults, the proposed method has and higher detection rate than statistics and the cross entropy method, respectively. For unknown faults, statistics cannot effectively detect faults, and the proposed method has approximately higher detection rate than the cross entropy method. Thus, the proposed method can effectively improve the fault detection rate. 相似文献

The effects of using a partly curved porous layer on the thermal management and entropy generation features are studied in a ventilated cavity filled with hybrid nanofluid under the effects of inclined magnetic field by using finite volume method. This study is performed for the range of pertinent parameters of Reynolds number (), magnetic field strength (), permeability of porous region (), porous layer height (), porous layer position (), and curvature size (). The magnetic field reduces the vortex size, while the average Nusselt number of hot walls increases for Ha number above 20 and highest enhancement is 47% for left vertical wall. The variation in the average Nu with permeability of the layer is about 12.5% and 21% for left and right vertical walls, respectively, while these amounts are 12.5% and 32.5% when the location of the porous layer changes. The entropy generation increases with Hartmann number above 20, while there is 22% increase in the entropy generation for the case at the highest magnetic field. The porous layer height reduced the entropy generation for domain above it and it give the highest contribution to the overall entropy generation. When location of the curved porous layer is varied, the highest variation of entropy generation is attained for the domain below it while the lowest value is obtained at . When the size of elliptic curvature is varied, the overall entropy generation decreases from b = 0 to by about 10% and then increases by 5% from to . 相似文献

We present computer simulation and theoretical results for a system of N Quantum Hard Spheres (QHS) particles of diameter and mass m at temperature T, confined between parallel hard walls separated by a distance , within the range . Semiclassical Monte Carlo computer simulations were performed adapted to a confined space, considering effects in terms of the density of particles , where V is the accessible volume, the inverse length and the de Broglie’s thermal wavelength , where k and h are the Boltzmann’s and Planck’s constants, respectively. For the case of extreme and maximum confinement, and , respectively, analytical results can be given based on an extension for quantum systems of the Helmholtz free energies for the corresponding classical systems. 相似文献

Transverse momentum spectra of , p, , or , or and deuteron (d) in different centrality intervals in nucleus–nucleus collisions at the center of mass energy are analyzed by the blast wave model with Boltzmann Gibbs statistics. We extracted the kinetic freezeout temperature, transverse flow velocity and kinetic freezeout volume from the transverse momentum spectra of the particles. It is observed that the non-strange and strange (multi-strange) particles freezeout separately due to different reaction cross-sections. While the freezeout volume and transverse flow velocity are mass dependent, they decrease with the resting mass of the particles. The present work reveals the scenario of a double kinetic freezeout in nucleus–nucleus collisions. Furthermore, the kinetic freezeout temperature and freezeout volume are larger in central collisions than peripheral collisions. However, the transverse flow velocity remains almost unchanged from central to peripheral collisions. 相似文献

The precise mechanisms connecting the cardiovascular system and the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) are not well understood in detail. This paper investigates the couplings between the cardiac and respiratory components, as extracted from blood pressure (BP) signals and oscillations of the subarachnoid space width (SAS), collected during slow ventilation and ventilation against inspiration resistance. The experiment was performed on a group of 20 healthy volunteers (12 females and 8 males; BMI kg/m; age years). We analysed the recorded signals with a wavelet transform. For the first time, a method based on dynamical Bayesian inference was used to detect the effective phase connectivity and the underlying coupling functions between the SAS and BP signals. There are several new findings. Slow breathing with or without resistance increases the strength of the coupling between the respiratory and cardiac components of both measured signals. We also observed increases in the strength of the coupling between the respiratory component of the BP and the cardiac component of the and vice versa. Slow breathing synchronises the SAS oscillations, between the brain hemispheres. It also diminishes the similarity of the coupling between all analysed pairs of oscillators, while inspiratory resistance partially reverses this phenomenon. BP–SAS and SAS–BP interactions may reflect changes in the overall biomechanical characteristics of the brain. 相似文献

The modeling and prediction of chaotic time series require proper reconstruction of the state space from the available data in order to successfully estimate invariant properties of the embedded attractor. Thus, one must choose appropriate time delay and embedding dimension p for phase space reconstruction. The value of can be estimated from the Mutual Information, but this method is rather cumbersome computationally. Additionally, some researchers have recommended that should be chosen to be dependent on the embedding dimension p by means of an appropriate value for the time delay , which is the optimal time delay for independence of the time series. The C-C method, based on Correlation Integral, is a method simpler than Mutual Information and has been proposed to select optimally and . In this paper, we suggest a simple method for estimating and based on symbolic analysis and symbolic entropy. As in the C-C method, is estimated as the first local optimal time delay and as the time delay for independence of the time series. The method is applied to several chaotic time series that are the base of comparison for several techniques. The numerical simulations for these systems verify that the proposed symbolic-based method is useful for practitioners and, according to the studied models, has a better performance than the C-C method for the choice of the time delay and embedding dimension. In addition, the method is applied to EEG data in order to study and compare some dynamic characteristics of brain activity under epileptic episodes 相似文献

We explore the quadratic form of the gravitational theory to derive rotating N-dimensions black hole solutions with rotation parameters. Here, R is the Ricci scalar and b is the dimensional parameter. We assumed that the N-dimensional spacetime is static and it has flat horizons with a zero curvature boundary. We investigated the physics of black holes by calculating the relations of physical quantities such as the horizon radius and mass. We also demonstrate that, in the four-dimensional case, the higher-order curvature does not contribute to the black hole, i.e., black hole does not depend on the dimensional parameter b, whereas, in the case of , it depends on parameter b, owing to the contribution of the correction term. We analyze the conserved quantities, energy, and angular-momentum, of black hole solutions by applying the relocalization method. Additionally, we calculate the thermodynamic quantities, such as temperature and entropy, and examine the stability of black hole solutions locally and show that they have thermodynamic stability. Moreover, the calculations of entropy put a constraint on the parameter b to be to obtain a positive entropy. 相似文献

A solvable model of a periodically driven trapped mixture of Bose–Einstein condensates, consisting of interacting bosons of mass driven by a force of amplitude and interacting bosons of mass driven by a force of amplitude , is presented. The model generalizes the harmonic-interaction model for mixtures to the time-dependent domain. The resulting many-particle ground Floquet wavefunction and quasienergy, as well as the time-dependent densities and reduced density matrices, are prescribed explicitly and analyzed at the many-body and mean-field levels of theory for finite systems and at the limit of an infinite number of particles. We prove that the time-dependent densities per particle are given at the limit of an infinite number of particles by their respective mean-field quantities, and that the time-dependent reduced one-particle and two-particle density matrices per particle of the driven mixture are condensed. Interestingly, the quasienergy per particle does not coincide with the mean-field value at this limit, unless the relative center-of-mass coordinate of the two Bose–Einstein condensates is not activated by the driving forces and . As an application, we investigate the imprinting of angular momentum and its fluctuations when steering a Bose–Einstein condensate by an interacting bosonic impurity and the resulting modes of rotations. Whereas the expectation values per particle of the angular-momentum operator for the many-body and mean-field solutions coincide at the limit of an infinite number of particles, the respective fluctuations can differ substantially. The results are analyzed in terms of the transformation properties of the angular-momentum operator under translations and boosts, and as a function of the interactions between the particles. Implications are briefly discussed. 相似文献

In the nervous system, information is conveyed by sequence of action potentials, called spikes-trains. As MacKay and McCulloch suggested, spike-trains can be represented as bits sequences coming from Information Sources (). Previously, we studied relations between spikes’ Information Transmission Rates and their correlations, and frequencies. Now, I concentrate on the problem of how spikes fluctuations affect . The are typically modeled as stationary stochastic processes, which I consider here as two-state Markov processes. As a spike-trains’ fluctuation measure, I assume the standard deviation , which measures the average fluctuation of spikes around the average spike frequency. I found that the character of and signal fluctuations relation strongly depends on the parameter s being a sum of transitions probabilities from a no spike state to spike state. The estimate of the Information Transmission Rate was found by expressions depending on the values of signal fluctuations and parameter s. It turned out that for smaller , the quotient has a maximum and can tend to zero depending on transition probabilities, while for , the is separated from 0. Additionally, it was also shown that quotient by variance behaves in a completely different way. Similar behavior was observed when classical Shannon entropy terms in the Markov entropy formula are replaced by their approximation with polynomials. My results suggest that in a noisier environment , to get appropriate reliability and efficiency of transmission, with higher tendency of transition from the no spike to spike state should be applied. Such selection of appropriate parameters plays an important role in designing learning mechanisms to obtain networks with higher performance. 相似文献

Direct numerical simulations were carried out with an emphasis on the intermittency and localized turbulence structure occurring within the subcritical transitional regime of a concentric annular Couette–Poiseuille flow. In the annular system, the ratio of the inner to outer cylinder radius is an important geometrical parameter affecting the large-scale nature of the intermittency. We chose a low radius ratio of 0.1 and imposed a constant pressure gradient providing practically zero shear on the inner cylinder such that the base flow was approximated to that of a circular pipe flow. Localized turbulent puffs, that is, axial uni-directional intermittencies similar to those observed in the transitional circular pipe flow, were observed in the annular Couette–Poiseuille flow. Puff splitting events were clearly observed rather far from the global critical Reynolds number, near which given puffs survived without a splitting event throughout the observation period, which was as long as outer time units. The characterization as a directed-percolation universal class was also discussed. 相似文献

Aims: Bubble entropy () is an entropy metric with a limited dependence on parameters. does not directly quantify the conditional entropy of the series, but it assesses the change in entropy of the ordering of portions of its samples of length m, when adding an extra element. The analytical formulation of for autoregressive (AR) processes shows that, for this class of processes, the relation between the first autocorrelation coefficient and changes for odd and even values of m. While this is not an issue, per se, it triggered ideas for further investigation. Methods: Using theoretical considerations on the expected values for AR processes, we examined a two-steps-ahead estimator of , which considered the cost of ordering two additional samples. We first compared it with the original estimator on a simulated series. Then, we tested it on real heart rate variability (HRV) data. Results: The experiments showed that both examined alternatives showed comparable discriminating power. However, for values of , where the statistical significance of the method was increased and improved as m increased, the two-steps-ahead estimator presented slightly higher statistical significance and more regular behavior, even if the dependence on parameter m was still minimal. We also investigated a new normalization factor for , which ensures that when white Gaussian noise (WGN) is given as the input. Conclusions: The research improved our understanding of bubble entropy, in particular in the context of HRV analysis, and we investigated interesting details regarding the definition of the estimator. 相似文献

The 2-D Cluster Variation Method: Topography Illustrations and Their Enthalpy Parameter Correlations
One of the biggest challenges in characterizing 2-D image topographies is finding a low-dimensional parameter set that can succinctly describe, not so much image patterns themselves, but the nature of these patterns. The 2-D cluster variation method (CVM), introduced by Kikuchi in 1951, can characterize very local image pattern distributions using configuration variables, identifying nearest-neighbor, next-nearest-neighbor, and triplet configurations. Using the 2-D CVM, we can characterize 2-D topographies using just two parameters; the activation enthalpy () and the interaction enthalpy (). Two different initial topographies (“scale-free-like” and “extreme rich club-like”) were each computationally brought to a CVM free energy minimum, for the case where the activation enthalpy was zero and different values were used for the interaction enthalpy. The results are: (1) the computational configuration variable results differ significantly from the analytically-predicted values well before approaches the known divergence as , (2) the range of potentially useful parameter values, favoring clustering of like-with-like units, is limited to the region where and , and (3) the topographies in the systems that are brought to a free energy minimum show interesting visual features, such as extended “spider legs” connecting previously unconnected “islands,” and as well as evolution of “peninsulas” in what were previously solid masses. 相似文献

A new type of quantum correction to the structure of classical black holes is investigated. This concerns the physics of event horizons induced by the occurrence of stochastic quantum gravitational fields. The theoretical framework is provided by the theory of manifestly covariant quantum gravity and the related prediction of an exclusively quantum-produced stochastic cosmological constant. The specific example case of the Schwarzschild–deSitter geometry is looked at, analyzing the consequent stochastic modifications of the Einstein field equations. It is proved that, in such a setting, the black hole event horizon no longer identifies a classical (i.e., deterministic) two-dimensional surface. On the contrary, it acquires a quantum stochastic character, giving rise to a frame-dependent transition region of radial width between internal and external subdomains. It is found that: (a) the radial size of the stochastic region depends parametrically on the central mass M of the black hole, scaling as ; (b) for supermassive black holes is typically orders of magnitude larger than the Planck length . Instead, for typical stellar-mass black holes, may drop well below . The outcome provides new insight into the quantum properties of black holes, with implications for the physics of quantum tunneling phenomena expected to arise across stochastic event horizons. 相似文献

We investigate the possibility of phantom crossing in the dark energy sector and the solution for the Hubble tension between early and late universe observations. We use robust combinations of different cosmological observations, namely the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB), local measurement of Hubble constant (), Baryon Acoustic Oscillation (BAO) and SnIa for this purpose. For a combination of CMB+BAO data that is related to early universe physics, phantom crossing in the dark energy sector was confirmed at a 95% confidence level and we obtained the constraint km/s/Mpc at a 68% confidence level, which is in perfect agreement with the local measurement by Riess et al. We show that constraints from different combinations of data are consistent with each other and all of them are consistent with phantom crossing in the dark energy sector. For the combination of all data considered, we obtained the constraint km/s/Mpc at a 68% confidence level and the phantom crossing happening at the scale factor at a 68% confidence level. 相似文献
