Multiconverter-distributed DC architectures have been utilized for power distribution in many applications such as telecommunication systems, sea and undersea vehicles, an international space station, aircraft, electric vehicles, hybrid-electric vehicles, and fuel-cell vehicles, where reliability is of prime concern. The number of power-electronic converters (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC, and AC/AC) in these multiconverter electrical power systems varies from a few converters in a conventional land vehicle, to tens of converters in an advanced aircraft, and to hundreds of converters in the international space station. In these advanced applications, power-electronic converters might need to have a tight output-voltage regulation. From the output perspective, this property is highly desirable. However, since power-electronic converters are efficient, tight regulation of the output makes the converter appear as a constant-power load (CPL) at its input side. Dynamic behavior of CPLs is equivalent to negative impedance and, therefore, can result in instability of the interconnected power system. In order to mitigate the instability of the power converters loaded by CPLs, this paper presents the pulse-adjustment digital control technique. It is simple and easy to implement in application-specific integrated circuits, digital-signal processors, or field-programmable gate arrays. Moreover, its dynamic response is fast and robust. Line and load regulations are simply achievable using this technique. Analytical, as well as simulation and experimental results of applying the proposed method to a DC/DC buck-boost converter confirm the validity of the presented technique. 相似文献

Distributed DC power systems are becoming increasingly common in advanced automotive systems. Constant power load (CPL) behavior of tightly regulated DC-DC converters in multiconverter power systems is equivalent to the dynamic negative impedance, destabilizing the DC bus and, consequently, the system. Various techniques have been developed to control ideal/lossless converters loaded by CPLs. Loss components significantly enhance the stability of the cascaded converters. In this paper, the effects of parasitics in the behavior of DC-DC converters loaded by CPLs are investigated. Furthermore, the stability of power converters loaded by CPLs in parallel to conventional constant voltage loads in the presence of loss components is analyzed. Design criteria are presented for converter operation in continuous and discontinuous conduction modes, which gives recommendations on the design of multiconverter DC power systems to avoid negative impedance instability. The proposed stable operation criteria are validated with hardware prototypes and simulation analyses. 相似文献

This paper presents a constant power control circuit for a three-stage high-intensity discharge (HID) electronic ballast. The three-stage electronic ballast is composed of a boost pre-regulator to achieve a high power factor, a DC/DC buck converter to regulate lamp current with constant lamp power, and a full-bridge inverter to drive the HID lamp with a low-frequency ac squarewave current. The buck converter operating in current mode utilizes current sense level-shift technique to achieve constant power output. The proposed constant power control circuit is easily designed and implemented for the three-stage HID electronic ballast. Finally, a laboratory prototype of a 70 W HID electronic ballast is implemented. The measured results show that the proposed ballast can be applied for various HID lamps with low lamp power variation (less than 0.6%). 相似文献

输出滤波器是DC/DC变换器的重要组成部分,滤波器的大小往往决定了整个电源的体积和重量,同时与整个系统的稳态性能和动态性能等指标有着密切的联系。如何减小输出滤波器中磁性元件的体积成为目前开关电源研究的一个重要方向。本文针对采用并联方式运行的低压大电流的电源,从理论上提出了一种电感集成的新型二级LC输出滤波器,该滤波器在一定程度消除了输出滤波电感的直流磁化,减小了输出滤波器的体积,从而减小了整个电源的体积和重量,实现了电源的小型化,轻型化。从仿真结果来看,这种滤波器提高了DC/DC变换器的稳态性能和动态性能。 相似文献

A systematic investigation of methods to stabilize the operating frequency of hysteretic current-mode dc/dc converters through control of the current hysteresis is presented. The control laws for every power stage are derived, and two open-loop and two closed-loop circuits are shown and analized in detail. The interaction of the major voltage control loop and the frequency control circuitry is also investigated for buck converters. It is shown that, if the average inductor current is programmed, the two mechanisms are independent, while if the peak inductor current is programmed, they are not. The frequency control circuitry in the latter case decreases the phase margin of the voltage control loop and can lead to instability. Simple circuits are developed to implement the superior average inductor-current programming. As a consequence of being controlled via the current hysteresis, the operating frequency cannot be stabilized in the light mode, where VO/RL < IH/2. In the special case, where the frequency of the converter is stabilized by a phase-locked loop, a method and circuit are shown to solve this problem and achieve constant frequency operation at any load. 相似文献

This paper presents an improved analysis of a novel programmable power-factor-corrected-based hybrid multipulse power rectifier (PFC-HMPR) for utility interface of power electronic converters. The proposed hybrid multipulse rectifier is composed of an ordinary three-phase six-pulse diode-bridge rectifier (Graetz bridge) with a parallel connection of single-phase switched converters in each three-phase rectifier leg. In this paper, the authors present a complete discussion about the controlled rectifiers' power contribution and also a complete analysis concerning the total harmonic distortion of current that can be achieved when the proposed converter operates as a conventional 12-pulse rectifier. The mathematical analysis presented in this paper corroborate, with detailed equations, the experimental results of two 6-kW prototypes implemented in a laboratory. 相似文献

This paper deals with the modelling of highly nonlinear switching power-electronics converters using black-box identification methods. The duty cycle and the output voltage are chosen, respectively, as the input and the output of the model. A nonlinear Hammerstein-type mathematical model, consisting of a static nonlinearity and a linear time-invariant model, is considered in order to cope with the well-known limitations of the more common small-signal models, i.e. the entity of the variations of the variables around a well-defined steady-state operating point and the incorrect reproduction of the steady-state behavior corresponding to input step variations from the above steady-state operating point. The static nonlinearity of the Hammerstein model is identified from input-output couples measured at steady state for constant inputs. The linear model is identified from input-output data relative to a transient generated by a suitable pseudorandom binary sequence constructed with two input values used to identify the nonlinearity. The identification procedure is, first, illustrated with reference to a boost DC/DC converter using results of simulations carried out in the PSpice environment as true experimental results. Then, the procedure is experimentally applied on a prototype of the above converter. In order to show the utility of the Hammerstein models, a PI controller is tuned for a nominal model. Simulation and experimental results are displayed with the aim of showing the peculiarities of the approach that is followed. 相似文献
