The pulse characteristics of a laser diode dual-end-pumped electro-optic Q-switched Nd:LuAG ceramic laser at various repetition rates are presented. The largest output pulse energy of 11 mJ is realized at the repetition rate of 100 Hz with pump energy of 84.3 mJ, and the slope efficiency in respect to pump pulse energy is 18.6%. The single pulse peak power reaches up to 1.57 MW. Using Nd:LuAG ceramic as the amplification medium seeded by an Nd:YAG laser of 5.2 mJ, a 10.3 mJ amplified pulse is obtained with pump pulse energy of 42.8 mJ, corresponding to an extraction efficiency of 11.9%.  相似文献

A fully conductively cooled and diode-pumped linear Ho:Tm:LuLiF laser oscillator can generate more than 1 J normal mode pulses at a 10 Hz pulse repetition rate where heat pipes are used for cooling pump diodes and laser crystal. As an amplifier, it can amplify the 80 mJ/180 ns pulses into 400 mJ pulses before the appearance of amplified spontaneous emission (ASE). The ASE threshold is about 5.6 J with a 40 mm long and side-polished laser crystal. For a 5 mJ input pulse and 5.6 J pump pulse, the double-pass gain exceeds 22.5. If the lateral surface of the laser crystal is fine ground, the ASE threshold can rise to higher than 8 J, but the efficiency will be lower due to large pump diffusion.  相似文献

采用环形再生腔结构的啁啾脉冲放大技术方案, 在重复频率100 Hz,单脉冲能量33.1 mJ的532 nm激光抽运下, 从钛宝石激光中获得了单脉冲能量9.84 mJ的放大输出, 对应的斜效率达33.1%.在重复频率10 Hz的情况下, 同样获得了单脉冲能量为9.64 mJ, 对应斜效率达36.8%的高效率放大结果. 通过色散补偿压缩该啁啾激光脉冲后的单脉冲能量为6.36 mJ, 脉冲宽度为59.7 fs. 测量结果表明典型的能量不稳定度为1.85%. 关键词: 啁啾脉冲放大 再生放大 飞秒激光 环形腔  相似文献

A novel diode-pumped, efficient, quasi-end-pumping scheme that uses two lens ducts to achieve homogeneous pumping in a gain medium was proposed and evaluated. With this technique, room-temperature laser action at a pulse repetition frequency up to 20 Hz was demonstrated in 5%Tm, 0.5%Ho:LuLiF(4), which we grew by the Czochralski method. At 10 Hz a long-pulse laser output energy in excess of 24 mJ and a slope efficiency with respect to the incident pump energy of 10.7% were obtained.  相似文献

We develop an injection-seeded single-frequency neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) laser with 500 Hz repetition rate and high peak power. The laser construction is designed as seed injection and master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) including single-frequency master oscillator, extra-cavity frequency doubling crystal, and round-trip power amplifier. The master oscillator can emit 1,064 nm laser of 8.4 mJ with 6.8 ns pulse width at the pump energy equal to 23 mJ. A green laser energy of 1.1 mJ is obtained by setting the proper temperature of the LBO crystal. The pulse energy of 1,064 nm laser decreases to 6.5 mJ after passing through the LBO crystal and rises to 25.3 mJ after a round-trip power amplifier corresponding to the extraction efficiency of 29%. The final output pulse width is 6.5 ns, representing a peak power of 3.9 MW. The 1,064 nm laser beam quality factor M2 of the master oscillator and the amplified one are 1.3 and 1.5, respectively. The laser will be used to generate mid-infrared where the 532 nm laser with narrow pulse width is to pump sheet optical parametric oscillator (OPO) and the 1,064 nm laser with high peak power to pump the OPO.  相似文献

We demonstrate a cw and actively Q-switched Er.LuAG laser resonantly dual-end-pumped by 1532 nm fibrecoupled laser diodes.A maximum cw output power of 1.9W at 1650.3nm is obtained at a pump power of 25.5 W,corresponding to a slope efficiency of 43.3%.In the Q-switched regime,the maximum pulse energy of3.51 mJ is reached at a pulse repetition rate of 100 Hz,a pulse duration of 90.5 ns and a pump power of 25.5 W.At the repetition rate of 400 Hz,the output energy is 2.12 mJ,corresponding to a pulse duration of 125.4 ns.  相似文献

介绍了一种新型的高能量环形长腔再生放大器, 通过对谐振腔的模式分布进行计算, 建立了腔长为12 m的环形腔再生放大器, 在150 mJ的抽运能量下, 得到了单脉冲能量为20 mJ的放大激光输出, 对应的转化效率为13.3%, 其输出激光的能量远远超过了常规的再生放大器输出激光的单脉冲量. 放大激光的输出光谱为30 nm, 可以支持<40 fs的傅里叶转换极限脉宽. 关键词: 环形腔 再生放大 高能量  相似文献

An external frequency doubling electro-optically Q-switched neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet(Nd:YAG) 473 nm blue laser was demonstrated. With absorbed pump energy of 48 mJ at 100 Hz repetition rate, about 2 mJ of 473 nm blue laser pulse energy was achieved by cascade frequency doubling. The second harmonic conversion efficiency was 64.5%, and overall optical-optical efficiency was 4.2%, respectively. The blue laser pulse width was less than 10 ns, and beam quality factor was less than 2.4.  相似文献

We report the pulsed-diode-pumped and acoustics-optically Q-switched operation of a long-pulse-width Tm:YAG laser at room temperature. Output energy for single pulse of 48 mJ is obtained under the incident pump energy of 217.3 mJ, corresponding to a slope efficiency of 30.2% and an optical conversion efficiency of 22.1%. For the Q-switched regime, maximum pulse energy of 3.25 mJ and the pulse width of 232.8 ns at the repetition rate of 30 Hz are achieved. The wavelength of the Q-switched laser is 2.013 μm. A beam quality factor of M 2 < 1.4 is measured using the traveling 90/10 knife-edge method.  相似文献

报道了一种主要应用于激光测距的微型化激光二极管泵浦Er3+/Yb3+共掺磷酸盐玻璃被动调Q激光器。采用中心波长940nm的二极管作为泵浦源,Er3+/Yb3+共掺磷酸盐玻璃作为增益介质,Co2+:MgAl2O4作为被动调Q晶体,通过优化增益介质和被动调Q晶体参数,获得了最佳的增益介质长度和被动调Q晶体初始透过率。当泵浦能量14mJ,重复频率10Hz,泵浦脉宽5ms时,获得了单脉冲能量480μJ,脉宽5ns,峰值功率大于20kW的激光输出,激光光束质量因子为1.2。  相似文献

本文针对Tm,Ho双掺的激光系统,利用速率方程理论,得出了激光各能级的反转粒子数分布规律.通过计算预测出了超过1 ms的时间有巨脉冲的光子输出,脉冲能量为88.4 mJ,脉冲宽度为426 ns.实验采用环形腔声光调Q,Tm,Ho:LuLF为激光介质,三向侧面抽运.自由运转和调Q状态的斜率效率分别为6.36%和2.9%.注入能量3.25 J时,自由运转激光能量103.2 mJ,调Q激光能量为30.3 mJ,对应光-光效率为3.17%,0.93%;注入能量3.5 J时,自由运转激光能量为129.3 mJ,调Q激光能量35.9 mJ,对应光-光效率为3.69%,1.02%.最大的动静比为32.8%.激光脉冲宽度为417.2 ns.如果环形腔能够单向运转,那么得到的激光能量和光-光转换效率都将增大一倍,与预测结果更加一致.  相似文献

A Ni-like Mo soft x-ray laser (SXRLs) operating at 18.9nm has been demonstrated by employing a grazing incidence pumping scheme with 120m^3 in the 200ps pre-pulse and 140mJ in the 200fs main pulse. The SXRL gain is estimated to be 1.5-3cm^-1 when a grazing incidence angle of 14° is applied. Numerical simulations are also performed to investigate the dynamics of the ion distribution. It is found that a high intensity at 2.4× 10^14 W/cm^2 of the 200fs main pulse could heat the pre-plasma rapidly to an appropriate temperature for population inversion, and could compensate for the shortage of the total pump energy to a certain extent.  相似文献

This paper presents the acoustic-optical Q-switched Tm:YAG laser performance in a pulsed-laser-diode end-pumping figure-eight ring resonator structure. Pulse energy and pulse width are investigated with the increasing of the incident pump energy at different repetition rate operation. Maximum energy of 4.6 mJ with the pulse width of 179.2 ns and 3.57 mJ with pulse width of 184.4 ns are obtained at the repetition rate of 20 and 100 Hz, respectively. Under free-running and Q-switched operation, the peak output wavelength is 2.014 μm at all time, and the beam quality factors are lower than 2 times diffraction-limited measured by a knife-edge traveling method.  相似文献

A novel laser resonator for compensating depolarization loss that is due to thermally induced birefringence in active rod is reported. As this new structure being applied to an electro-optic Q-switched LDA side-pumped Nd:YAG laser operating at a repetition rate of 1000 Hz, substantial reduction in depolarization loss has been observed, the output pulse energy is improved about 56% from that of a traditional resonator without compensation structure. With incident pump energy of 450 mJ per pulse, linearly polarized output energy of 30 mJ per pulse is achieved, the pulse duration is less than 15 ns, and the peak power of pulse is about 2 MW. The extinction ratio of laser beam is better than 10:1, and the beam divergence is 1.3 mrad with beam diameter of around 2.5 mm.  相似文献

Recent study on optical-field-ionization collisional-excitation extreme-ultraviolet lasing of Ni-like krypton at 32.8 nm pumped by a 100-TW laser system with an optically preformed plasma waveguide is reported. By using a 9-mm-long pure krypton plasma waveguide fabricated with the axicon-ignitor-heater scheme, the 32.8-nm extreme-ultraviolet laser provided an average output of 1012 photons/pulse at pump energy of 1 J, more than one order of magnitude enhancement relative to the previous results with the same scheme at pump energy of 235 mJ. It is also found the far-field pattern of laser beams varies from a single peak profile at low pump energy to an annular profile at high pump energy due to over-ionization of krypton ions at the center of the plasma channel.  相似文献

A crystalline Raman laser is pumped at 90° to the Raman laser axis by a single pass from a line-focused 532 nm pump laser of pulse duration 10 ns. The Raman laser threshold was 6.1 mJ, and at 12 mJ pump energy, a maximum output energy of 2.7 mJ was obtained with a slope efficiency of 46%. The threshold pump intensity is within a factor of 2 of the same device when end-pumped. The results highlight significant potential for coherent beam conversion and combination with enhanced degrees of flexibility and increased power.  相似文献

A diode-side-pumped Tm,Ho:LuLiF laser at 2-m wavelength obtained in a ring resonator and its amplification experiment are reported. At the maximum pump energy of 4.7 J available for the oscillator,the output energy per pulse for the oscillator decreases from 904 to 483 mJ in free running mode,and decreases from 106 to 68 mJ in Q-switched mode,with an increase of pump pulse repetition rate from 1 to 5 Hz. When considering the amplifier,99-mJ Q-switched output energy is achieved at 5-Hz repetition rate.  相似文献

We report on optical parametric oscillators (OPO's) based on periodically poled RbTiOAsO(4) (PP RTA), which are pumped by Q -switched solid-state lasers. With a diode-pumped Nd:YVO(4) laser (pulse energy, 800microJ ; pulse duration, 5.5 ns; repetition rate, 1 kHz) the PP RTA OPO generated 1.58-microm signal and 3.26-microm idler radiation with a signal pulse energy of 45microJ . The large aperture of 3 mmx3 mm of the PP RTA crystal also permitted OPO operation with pump pulse energies as high as 65 mJ, provided by a flash-lamp-pumped Q -switched Nd:YAG laser (pulse duration, 20 ns; repetition rate, 10 Hz). With this pump source the OPO generated signal pulse energies as high as 17 mJ, corresponding to an efficiency of 26%. The performance of this OPO shows that large-aperture PP RTA crystals are well suited for pulsed nanosecond OPO operation with pump pulse energies of tens of millijoules.  相似文献

A simple technique had been demonstrated for measuring flow-induced fluctuations in the single longitudinal mode (SLM) pulsed dye laser. Two prominent frequency components of 10.74 Hz and 48.83 Hz were present in the output of the Nd:YAG-pumped SLM dye laser. The flow-induced frequency component of 48.83 Hz was present due to the revolution per minute of the motor attached to the magnetically coupled gear pump. The time average bandwidth of 180 MHz has been obtained for this SLM dye laser. The effect of pump pulse energy on the bandwidth of the SLM dye laser was studied. The bandwidth of the SLM dye laser was increased to 285 MHz from 180 MHz, when the pump pulse energy was increased to 0.75 mJ from 0.15 mJ for a constant dye flow velocity of 0.5 m/s.  相似文献
